💜 Leah and L are two very different views on the same person.

L is the still-very-genuine parts of himself he chooses to portray to the world. More importantly the audience of Countdown Studios. A charismatic and high-energy self-proclaimed deity with a flirty streak and a top secret, hidden agenda. He is the runner and host of multiple shows on hard-to-find radio and television channels and an even-harder-to-find website that streams his and his cast's shows. (It also has a forum for fans and staff to hang out in.) This is the version of him most are likely to see. You're supposed to see him, assume he is up to no good and enjoy the shows anyhow, no matter how horrific they seem at times.

Leah is the even-more-genuine core. A very tired 200 year old black coffee addict with a petty streak and a surprising about of care for his cast, fans and people living in the tower. This is the version a select few get to see and know the true plans of and he's... not a good person, but he's not as horrible as he makes himself out to be. He's a villain, but he's only playing the role of something more sinister. If he could, he'd just be your average antagonist you'd come to love, rather than the multiverse's public enemy #1. Something he takes seriously is freedom and autonomy; the ability to make your own choices and have your own opinions, no matter how anyone feels. Even in those loyal to him, he encourages them to do what they want to and take the paths they feel best. He heavily encourages it in his cast most of all; even if it means upsetting him or walking away from him and his plans that they know so thoroughly.

When I first added him to the blog, this wasn't the case, but a lot has changed since his introduction that's fleshed him out more. I'm pretty happy about that.

"Weeeeeeell, HELLO THERE and welcome to another hair-raising and thrilling episode of Real-Time Races!"

It's a voice, carrying an announcer's tone of voice, that jolts Melody out of her rather short sleep mode. Scrambling to her feet and glancing around. That hadn't been a voice she knew. Not in the slightest, nor was it a face she knew that popped into reality right next to her.

Donning a skirt and the colorful coat of a gameshow host, he seems to pay her startled yelp no mind whatsoever

"I'm your ever vigilant host, L! Here to bring you only the most adrenaline-pumping of challenges from our lovely contestants!" The microphone he holds is shifted to his other hand, his now-free one pulling Melody in. The FLINCH is wholly disregarded as he continues. "This episode we have a lovely teenager by the name of DLN-000; Melody Raydeo! Recently having been stranded in a barren, frosty wasteland and left to fend for herself, I know she is bound to have the determination to pull through today's challenge!"

The being's three tails sprawl out from behind him, already giving himself away as a Nagete. Much to Melody's clear horror, evidently. She's not able to say much before the host snaps his fingers, teleporting them out to a random part of the planet. "We now come to you from about a forty-eight hours' trek from this lovely lass' camp!" Leah grins, turning to Melody and placing a hand on her shoulder. "My dear, your challenge is simple! Locate and return to your camp within the next thirty-two hours, with just the things in the bag on your shoulder, and I will give you something that will help your chances here GREATLY!"

"N- now wait just a minute-" The android finally gets a word in, moving the microphone put in her face to the side. "I never signed up for any challenge or chose to participate in such a thing! Nor would I; that would pose an unnecessary danger to myself and my mission!"

The protest gets a laugh from the show host, floating into the air as her does so. "OH MY DEAR! Look around you! We're already out here and I am certainly not taking you back, now that you've been chosen!"

He leans in, grinning.

"Sweet, Sweet Melody: You don't have a choice!"

Then he backs back up. "Then again, when have you had any choices on this life-forsaken planet? In the palm of everyone's hands and claws you are!"

"Good luck, my dear~! Try not to become a drone's next little snack; because the challenge ends the moment your ghost leaves that adorable little body of yours!" With an announcement of "CHALLENGE BEGIN" announced through the air, Leah vanishes after saying an outro to no one she can see and the robot master is left out on her own.

And it actually hits her that she's alone, completely and fully. "Oh sweet Asimov, no..."

Nothing left to do but bring up her phone tracker on her hud and follow the signal of the device still at camp. Hopefully this wouldn't be too hard...

Leah's waking up from collapsing during his and Amy's game with a killer headache. See, this is why he sticks to black coffee, no matter how deceptively good other drinks are. "Well... at least It's a good idea for another potential game for the minigame show?"

"Well, well, wellwellwell~! Aren't you just the Cutest pair!"

The voice comes from nowhere at first, before the nagete pops into view, hanging upside down in front of the Teal and N. "Perfect for showbiz; the grump and the sunshine child~! It's the perfect dynamic for this challenge!!!"

"You-" The aether mix breed is on his feet almost instantly, shield out and ready to strike. CT had told him of this one; the nagete hybrid that he was constantly at odds with. "Leave- Gh-"

"Ah-ah-ah! Now now I haven't even issued you kids the challenge yet~" The aetherling is frozen in place, as is the drone preemptively. A mic showing up in the nagete's hand. "Why don't we test how well you can actually work together! Ladies, gentlemen and nonbinary friends our challenge this episode~ Two attached friends will see what it's like to walk in each other's shoes until our challenge ends!"

"Don't you dare touch hi-"

The aetherling doesn't even get to finish his sentence before everything goes black.

"Oh my dears~ You never had a choice!"

The two come to, as if they were asleep, except something is very, very different.

"Mgh..."

That wasn't Teal's voice.

A glance down. This wasn't his body, the one next to him was. "Ohhhhh stars, no..."

Get to know the RPer || Accepting

🕯️ Okay so I'm sticking to this blog's muses for now and since I don't play favourites in general. I'll just talk about one of the muses that has had my braincell lately.

So, Leah! A muse I have yet to draw a reference for. His original iteration was made on Discord cause I wanted to expand more on the aethers' opposite species, nagete. That soon evolved into my wanting to test aether-nagete hybrids as well and expand on that.

I tend to test a lot of storylines with close friends on Discord so I can bring a more fine-tuned version of things here for you. I did that with Maria and Leah is another example of that.

Leah in particular I've struggled developing beyond him being a permanent antagonist on the blog.

His goals are horrific and terrible (something I'm not spoiling) and has accepted playing the role as the villain for the sake of that. But he really is just a guy who wants to run his radio, tv and online shows with his cast. He's a gameshow host mainly, but he's got some other things he films for the air too, more often than not having a live show or three every night when his shows are available.

Currently he's got a small group of four that make up his main cast!

Amygdala is one of them! Leah made her shortly after he ended up self-corrupting into a mix breed hybrid. Mixing nagete shadow manifestation and Hope's own DNA, she is to epitome of a stoic mad scientist and is responsible for making any beasts and creatures that are used for security and the games Leah hosts. Treats every creation like they're her pets.

The other two I can't go into much since they aren't officially debuted here yet and are written by a friend, but they are Leah's co-host and his best friend. Folks he originally thought would be interesting to save from a "bad end" timeline of their universe.

Originally he was gonna be "just the bad guy for this episode." Now he's attached and has lowkey started to make the amusement park grounds, the tower at it's centre where shows are filmed and the living spaces at the top of the tower a home he and his cast can use even after his plans come to fruition.

Lost Now Found from HOAAR is a good song for him regarding his Cast.

As far as his relationship with Cam, Hope and Teal, it's not a good one.

Leah originally tracked the two siblings down in regards to his investigations regarding Maria and the interest he took in her life, story and legacy. Things didn't exactly work out and he put them in a state of distress instead.

Naturally this got Chamyle's attention and made Leah pay dearly for even laying a metaphorical hand on them. [He's still salty about that and Cam's job as The Archivist having meant she was keeping an eye on him. Now he's more than aware of her "passing" and has instead directed that Pettiness towards Melody.]

Despite this, Hope still gave him another chance. The two talked for a while after that incident, exchanging questions on their views and goals. Until Hope gave him- a purebred nagete at the time- an answer to a question that made him start thinking. Too much logic can start turning an aether into a nagete or completely hybrid them; something that is considered the worst fate for any aether and nagete and something incredibly taboo.

In reaction to this, Leah snapped and had a breakdown. In the midst of said breakdown, he not only kidnapped Hope- having blamed her for the change- and demanded she fix him. When she couldn't, he decided if he was going down he'd take multiple universes with him. He really wasn't in his right mind at the time and even he will admit that if you ask.

Teal was the one to solve this issue and get back Hope. Still bears an aggressive view on the host; believing him to be a heartless monster who's only true goal is destruction.

Hope is terrified of Leah and tries her best to avoid him when possible. Though she doesn't hate him. If anything she feels sorry for him.

Leah still blames Hope for his hybrid state and hates her for it. Heavily dislikes Teal because of him being one of Maria's experiments among other petty things. He won't hesitate to actively mess with either sibling and will often do elaborate things to them just out of that hate and because he finds it amusing and interesting.

As far as the rest of the multiverse?

He's a heavy believer in people being free to do whatever they want or they should be given the power to wield autonomy. It's the main motivator behind his current overarching plan.

He takes freedom very seriously and treats his usual contestants and guests with that. Picking on a volunteer basis and making sure people know what they are getting into (and that they may not leave the studio ever again should they participate in certain games.)

But he can't tell the multiverse this. Doesn't care to with how bored and tired of everything he truly is. It has to stay all behind-the-scenes. He's their enemy of the multiverse; the Big Bad Evil Guy! The Villain!!

People need to believe he's such so they can come up with their own reasoning behind his actions.

He knows the path he's taking, but he's taking it of his own free will.

"Here, my dear~ Let me get that for you." The voice once again comes before Leah's appearance, showing up seated right next to Melody's body as her ghost tried to fiddle with a report folder, a note for Fir and her multiversal transporter component. Naturally that gets a small yelp from the ghost, startling enough that she rubber-banded back to her body with a glitch.

"You know, before your little genocidal friend returns~" This gets a giggle from the nagete show host. "Quite the possessive one, that bot! Knows how to kill my kind too, so I can't stick around that long. You know how it is, I'm sure~"

"Wh- what are you doing here?" Of course, the currently-armless robot master is scrambling to her feet and taking a couple steps back, with some difficulty. "You're not here to-"

"Issue another challenge? No, no; the cameras aren't with me today! I'm here to issue your reward, actually." A pause and a more innocent look dawns on the host's face. "Unless you want another challenge? I wouldn't expect so in that state."

A shake of Melody's head.

"Good!" There's the smile returning as Leah moves to pick the items up. "As part of your reward I'll do this little delivery for you~!"

"Wait-"

"And as a secondary reward~ Well, that will come at a later date! Ta-ta~!"

"I SAID WAIT- HANG ON-" Melody only makes it a couple paces running forward before he's gone once again, resulting in her abrupt stop and loss of balance. With a hard thud, she's fallen to the floor once again. "V2VsbCB0aGF0J3MgdGhlIHJlcG9ydCwgdHJhbnNwb3J0ZXIgYW5kIGEgbWVzc2FnZSBmb3IgRmlyIHNlbnQgb2ZmLi4u"

She can't help heaving a heavy sigh. "Hopefully..."

Cue Leah wandering into Hope's main apartment, where his assistant is currently living, whistling happily.

"You're in a good mood. Where have you been?"

"Oh, nowhere special. Just taking care of one of my little destruction shows~"

"Ugh..."

"Getting real sick and tired of wearing the mask and soul of this pathetic alt." The shadow paces about the apartment, snatching a syringe off the kitchen counter and sitting down to inject it into her rotting tail. "Just when are you going to put your 'elaborate plans' into motion, L?"

"In due time, dear doctor~" The Nagete inside the television screen giggles, doing up his hair as if he's looking in a mirror. "Or should I be calling you 'Rune' for the time being so you remember what your role is~?"

"Gross. No. You try that and I'm taking your blood for my next experiment, when I'm back in my lab."

Another giggle is given. "Alright, alright~ Just as long as you're able to give me that way into the half-breed's apartment, then I won't."

"It should be ready soon. You can at the very least send the camera over for me to set up."

"Excellent~! I'll send it right over!"

"I'd say it's about time to move this show along~! Ladies and Gentlemen, your wonderful host has arrived and it's almost time for the cameras to roll!"

Biting time, it's biting time. Hyde's maw snaps shut around Leah's tail, not nearly as hard as he used to bite but it's definitely still a bite. Chewsday.

He was just trying to write down some changes he needed to make from overarching plans, nonchalantly laying in the air in the cast common area. Even when lounging the nagete was working.

At least until searing teeth sink into his tail and elicit a yelp and Leah pretty quickly tumbles to the ground. Ow-owowowow!!

"Hyde-!" Sure, he was used to the behavior, but it had been so long since it had actually happened. It had actually startled him a little. "Realms between, you're going to give me a heart attack someday!"

Sudden menacing presence looming behind Leah. It's probably nothing. Wouldn't bother turning around, honestly. Like the Narrator said, it's definitely nothing. Don't worry, little buddy.

It's nothing.

Menacing, perhaps, but nowadays it was hard for much (other than Amygdala herself) to spook the nagete hybrid. The looming presence if hummed at as he steps back from the maps and blueprints of the tower. Re-arranging them for the addition of two new residents. One already here and the other to come.

"What do you think, Dearest?" It's spoken so casually despite the potential threat. To him, it IS nothing. "You think that will comfortably accommodate everyone and give them spaces of their own, outside of their suites, in the process? I think it's rather suiting, given Amy's short notice for changes... haha..."
