Uzushio Clan Hierarchy - Senjumaki au!

Well, as I'm writing Mito and Hashirama's wedding fic, I've decided to finally make the clans that inhabit Uzushio and that are a big part of its population.

- Uzumaki

The Uzumaki clan, the undisputed leaders of Uzu no Kuni, a clan full of true monsters with many skills and an explosive character, from their powerful life force that gives them incredible longevity, their terrifying use of Fuinjutsu, the adamantine chains of great power or their wielding of Yin energy to create and summon terrifying creatures.

Descendants of the Sage of the Six Paths, but not inheriting his philosophy, the Uzumaki searched for a place they could call home where they would not have to worry about fighting over territory.

So they set out to sea in search of a home, they were lucky enough to find an island that they would eventually expand themselves through earth and lava element jutsu.

And in time, some clans seeking a safe haven would seek refuge with the Uzumaki and become their vassals.

Uzushio is an archipelago half the size of Mizu no Kuni, and is made up of five islands.

- Vassal Clans

1.- Bunraku

The first clan to join the Uzumaki on the island of Uzushio. They are direct descendants of Hamura Ōtsutsuki, they did not inherit the Byakugan or the Shikotsumyaku, but they inherited the Ōtsutsuki's love of puppets.

Their obsession with puppets is only comparable to the Uzumaki's obsession with Fuinjutsu, which is why both clans got along like a house on fire from the very beginning.

They consider themselves artists rather than warriors, but beware of anyone who interrupts when they are creating or testing a new toy for their puppets. Their puppets are much more detailed than those of Kaze no Kuni and can move independently. They are also often used for theatres.

This clan also possesses the mysterious rabbit summoning contract and are pyromaniacs on the level of the Uchiha.

2.- Yurei

The second clan to join the Uzumaki. The Yurei clan is possibly the clan with the strongest connection to the Yin element in existence, so much so that they were on the verge of extinction when they were unable to maintain their physical body.

For this reason they swore loyalty to the Uzumaki, so  they would help them with their Fuinjutsu to stabilise their bodies and not become wandering spirits without a body to return to.

Yurei possess the ability to separate their souls from their bodies and become ghost-like beings, so they can fly and move at great speed, they can become invisible and intangible and possess the bodies of other people. However, in this state they are unable to use jutsu as they are pure spiritual energy.

-

The Konjiki and Hoseki clans joined the Uzumaki at the same time. In reality, these clans possessed a great rivalry which resulted in competition between them. They made the mistake of trying to invade Uzushio to make it their final battleground where one clan would exterminate the other.

However, the Uzumaki gave them the biggest beating in history, so both clans quickly swore allegiance to the Uzumaki to avoid being exterminated.

3.- Konjiki

The Konjiki clan possesses the ability to use the Metal element and some of their clan members possess the ability to use the Magnet element.

The use of the Metal element is similar to how the members of the Kaguya clan use the Shikotsumyaku, i.e. the metal emerges from their body and then they can control it remotely.

This metal is a great conductor of chakra so it is used for specialised tools and weapons.

The clan still retains its great rivalry with the Hoseki clan, at least now they are not at each other's throats all the time.

4.- Hoseki

The Hoseki clan possesses the ability to use the crystal element, an extremely versatile and powerful element.

This clan has a taste for preserving what they consider beautiful, ranging from the most ordinary things such as flowers or animals to people or body parts such as Doujutsus.

Although they are naturally more powerful than members of the Konjiki clan, it is only when they possess the magnet element that they are truly evenly matched.

5.- Namazu

The last clan to join the Uzumaki, they possess great physical strength as well as a strong connection to the Earth element and Lightning, as well as sensory abilities.

They consider themselves to be the most powerful of Uzushio's vassal clans and often start fights. The clan is also known for its frequent sumo tournaments and has a strong rivalry with the mainland sumos.

Thanks to their contract of summoning catfish they are able to generate earthquakes.

i bring thee a bunch of random TC facts i made:

-Beetle Milk is a variant of Spider Milk. It tastes like almond milk.

-Sonore can only sleep when there’s too much noise, such as a thunderstorm

-The reason why Darian and Loopy have similar bow ties is because the former councilor’s is a gift from Loopy. Darian’s was given after rescuing the to-be Abomination Councilor on the run from the Emperor’s Coven, who were trying to brand her.

-Adding to above, Loopy was one of the many missing (wild) witches until reappearing in post-WAD (before the Epilogue)

-With the exception of Cherry and Ilya, none of the Titan’s Councilor joined a coven

-Ilya was one of the researchers during the early stages of the sigil-removing process.

-Jerbo is still working under the Titan’s Council, even after RED stepped down from their seats

-Dracord is a BI version of Discord. The Titan’s Councilors have a private and personal server where things get a bit too silly (all 9 are there only)

-Darian’s ability is fueled by memory. He can only summon weapons he knows, including how they work. Otherwise, his tail and basilisk form are his only weapons. Darian has an assload of images of rifles in his mind

-Salty is a member, specifically a first mate, of Sonore’s “Demon Realm Expedition.” You can say they’re on the same boat (literally), and it’s evident that the two demons became friends after their first few missions beyond the Boiling Sea together

-Loopy can literally make finger puppets. As a master Abomination witch, crude appearances of witches she knows are shaped on each of her fingers, and the hair that has this can combine into two “hand (or hair, in Loopy’s case) puppets” for each pigtail

-Ilya and Cherry go way back in Talarus Institute, the former as an ex-principal and latter as one of the Healing Councilor’s students. Becoming members of the BI’s new government felt like a school reunion, but a bit awkward because Cherry’s temper...well, worsened the last time Ilya saw them before the tryouts and the school fire.

-While Ilya demonstrates apathy in the present, deep inside is a small group of emotions he tucked away after the burning of TI’s original incarnation. Those emotions began to leak out once he works with Cherry in the council, sometimes showing bits of his therapist-like side

-Yurei used to work in a similar job like that one ghost(?) demon that Eda hired to spy on Raine

-There was skepticism regarding Darian becoming an Illusion Councilor, but the basilisks’ votes helped him: *upon recognizing that pretentious voice on the crystal ball* “HE’S ALIVE????”

-Jasmine is quick at catching things flying at a speed of a bullet

-Cherry calls the fruits they’re allergic to as “shitrus”

-Ripley used to write fanfiction a lot as a track student, and she still does as an adult!

-Ripley’s a lesbian

-Yurei’s agender (applies to its corporeal form in the Ghastly Ages)

-Loopy’s aunt, who currently works as the manager of the Bonesborough Carnival, was the previous Abomination Coven Head before Darius. Thus, Loopy worked as a ringmaster and this former role made her a primary candidate for the Titan’s Council

-Yurei is described as the leader of the council, due to its no-nonsense nature

-Combining the fury of Darian and Sonore is the most terrifying combo the BI will ever see: it’s gonna be the storm of a lifetime

-A single swing of whatever Berylis wields (ex: brewball stick) can explode a griffin

-Jasmine has yet to snap

-Of all the councilors, Gus barely interacts with Loopy (hint: coulrophobia)

-Aside jazz, Sonore’s also a metal (music) fan

-Ripley originally worked as a part-time librarian

-Darian currently lives in a town near the University of Wild Magic (in order to reconnect with his old basilisk buddies)

-Jasmine has amazing survival skills. However, she slowly “withers” when exposed to snow for a long time

-Darian doesn’t know who this “Meep-0” humans have been referring him as, since they claim the stranger has a striking voice as the “floating British roomba”

-Since the rebuilding of the BI, Cherry has been going to therapy for a while. Being part of the council made them mellow out slowly.

-Ilya hates going up on slopes by foot

-Berylis technically acts like the Announcer from the SSB series (4 and U)

-If the Coven Heads represent the BLU team, then the Titan’s Council are the RED team:

Favorite ND Soundtracks

Alright. I am a huge music nerd. For some time, I was a music major at college (I changed majors after having to take nine classes a semester because of all my ensembles). One of my hobbies is listening to movie and game scores. Some of the Nancy Drew games have some pretty great music. I don’t really know how I’d rank my favorites, but I’m going to list them in no particular order.

Shadow at Water’s Edge

Lovely traditional Japanese sound. Very calming yet it just sounds like someone is watching you. 

The scenes in the city have some great music. Honestly? They are bops.

The music fits perfectly with the ambiance and mood. The music at the ryokan is haunting and beautiful and the music in the city is fun and carefree.

“Kasumi” is so wonderfully haunting and beautiful and horrifying at the same time. It’s beautiful and peaceful, and it makes me feel both sad and like I’m gonna die from being attacked by the yurei.

Some of the tracks in this don’t sound like they’re from a Nancy Drew game. They sound like they came straight out of a horror film.

Secret of Shadow Ranch

Western. Soooo western. A stereotypical cowboy movie score. I love it.

It makes me feel like I’m a cowboy in the wild west.

The guitar picking is perfect in “Dirk”. I love it so much that I listened and taught myself on the guitar and I played it too much because my sister was sick of it for a long time.

The ghost town music fits so well. A perfect combination of suspense and yeehaw.

The drums in “Lands”... Perfect. And the trombones in “Danger”... Great.

Curse of Blackmoor Manor

This score. It’s amazing. It makes me feel like I’m in an old English mansion poking around and searching through hidden passages. Oh wait...

This score seems like it should be the background music for a BBC show about royalty.

Some of the music is downright terrifying. Also, the dulcimer?! That instrument is underrated and used amazingly!

The piano and strings parts are just beautiful. “Memoirs” is one of my favorites. The use of dynamics in that piece is lovely.

This is probably the only music where a recorder sounds good.

Brigitte. I still know that song so well.

Legend of the Crystal Skull

Okay. As a jazz singer, this soundtrack spoke to my soul. 

They mix horror and jazz and that makes me love it sooooo much.

I just really like jazz, okay?

“Bruno” hits different. It feels like you just walked into a 1930s New Orleans nightclub holding a cigarette and wearing a fur coat.

“Bayou” give me “Gonna Take You There” vibes.

Haunting of Castle Malloy

Say what you want about the game, but the music is beautiful.

“Nursery” still gives me chills. “Map” makes me feel like I should always be watching my back. “Grand” is rightly named. 

The music in the pub are bangers. 

As a Celtic music fan, this soundtrack is truly wonderful.

Warnings at Waverly Academy

This one fits the environment so well. Both suspenseful and youthful.

The cello. Ooooh, the cello. *chef’s kiss*

The violin solo... It’s so beautifully creepy and unsettling with the resonance and the reverb. 

It just feels like late autumn/early winter. It has that vibe and it’s wonderful.

The Captive Curse

Again, as a musician, I’ve been exposed to lots of music, and some of that is traditional Bavarian music. This one combined the mystery of Nancy Drew games with the traditional music and it was done well.

“Girls” is both beautiful and slightly tragic. The piano, the violin, the cello, the everything. It feels like I should be out there wearing a dirndl with Nancy and remember all the girls before that have died at this castle.

Speaking of castle, “Castle” is so wonderfully mysterious. So is “Mystery”, of course. And the violin in “Legend”? It makes me feel curious.

The choir in “Creature” brings a whole new vibe to the game. Kinda gave me “Duel of Fates” vibes, if you know what I mean.

The Deadly Device

It sounds like it came straight out of a sci-fi film. It also gives me Doctor Who and Thor: Ragnarok vibes.

The repeated motif in “Research” sounds like “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas”, don’t hate me.

It fits the techie nerd vibe as well as the “hello, this is murder” vibe.

Ghost of Thornton Hall

This one. Oooh ho ho, this one. It still gives me chills. The music adds so much to the game. It’s creepy enough already, but add this amazing music and you get one of the most creepy Nancy Drew games.

Oh, did I also mention that this music will bring you to tears? Yeah.

That little bit of background choir in some of the tracks?

The brass section in “Dark” has a feel of urgency.

The OPERA in the background. UGH, IT’S AMAZING. This is coming from a person who has sang opera before and DAMN is this stuff beautiful. The vocalese is amazing.

The rhyme... The rhyme.

“Past” is so beautiful and tragic and truly captivates the sadness of the entire situation.

That one time where the drums are pretty much a heartbeat? Freaks me out. Every time. I love it.

The Silent Spy

This one has amazing music and it’s also one of the plot points in the mystery.

The link between Kate and the piano is amazing. Every time I hear the piano, it’s a reminder of Kate and her presence. 

Kate’s Theme is so simple, yet so beautiful. 

The bagpipes in the background add a whole new layer of sadness. I am one of those people who actually loves the bagpipes.

It feels like a FRICKIN SPY/HEIST MOVIE.

At the same time, SCOTLAND.

The use of the electric guitar is very lovely.

Labyrinth of Lies

I love it. I love it. The music belongs there.

The use of traditional Greek inspired music is wonderful and really helps with the entire ambiance. 

“Souls” sounds like it belongs in the underworld.

Sea of Darkness

Hoooooly moly, I love this music. The strings, the choir, the woodwinds, the brass? Everything.

This music makes me want to go sailing.

“The Word I Couldn’t Keep” is still an amazing, beautiful song and no one can tell me otherwise because I am right.

The music in the ice caves, “Waiting” is absolutely amazing. The reverb makes it sound like it’s actually coming from inside the caves.

Midnight in Salem

Again, say what you want about the game, but the music was amazing.

Okay, they had some bops and bangers in this game. I was grooving to these tunes.

It sounds so Halloweeny. It’s so delightfully creepy. It sounds like a Danny Elfman soundtrack and I am HERE for it.

The use of the harp in these tracks is wonderful. It sounds like they also used chimes in here, which fits well.

“Feelings” is so beautiful. Another one of those hauntingly beautiful tracks that hits you in the feels.

“Family” instantly transports me from wherever I am to a small town in the mid-autumn with a little creepy vibe.

I got GTH vibes from some of these. I loved it.

The Phantom of Venice music during Ned’s phone call was superb. I heard it and instantly had flashbacks to Nancy’s not-quite-stripper days.

Seriously. Danny Elfman vibes.

Amai Kandai (Sora's mother)

Her Kagune its a Ukaku whose shape resembles the wings of a bat wich Amai can shoot crystallized scales and attack at high speed

She is a young lady adopted daughter of a millionaire family and the envy of Yurei her adopted sister due to the adoration of her parents to Amai. She met a young boy of the same species called Makoto Kisekitekina who fell in love and had a son named Sora. 

One Christmas night when his son was only 5 years old, he was attacked by some scientists who would take his firstborn as a guinea pig. It is thought that she and Makoto died that day but their bodies were never found ... It is unknown if they are really dead ... or possibly still alive.........

Her European features made her stand out in normal Japanese society but they’re helping her blend in with the yokai

She has disguised herself as a ghost with the help of Blanc

All the boys want a taste of her (if u know what I mean *wink*)

(Jk, I mean it in the they want to eat her flesh kind of way)

The Black Army is currently sheltering her but only the top officers know she’s a human, everyone else thinks she’s a ghost and is there to teach them about the human world

The Red Army knows that a human has wandered into their country but they don't know where she is and is on the hunt for her

Most of the top officers in the Red Army have figured out that the Black Army’s new “teacher” is probably the human and are trying to find ways to coax her to their side

Zero is the only red officer who didn't realize

Amon - Kitsune

He’s an ancient yokai and before getting sealed, he was so strong that he could wipe an entire country off of the map

He’s basically a cult leader

Most of his power was sealed away by Harr so he now relies on magic crystals

He’s been trying to recruit Oliver for his magic crystal knowledge

His usual chess board has been replaced with a shogi board

All his disciples are now foxes some are adorable

Amon put a curse on Lancelot and is essentially is holding Lancelot’s life as hostage over Lancelot thus allowing him to pull a lot of strings behind the scenes

Amon has an irrational fear of Zero and is plotting to kill him

Another meme, this time for my Villain OCs!

Black Menagerie, Kudzu, and Forever Princess are part of Jo's Rogue's Gallery because I wanted her to have her own villains without relying too much on canon.

Black Menagerie has an obsession with beauty and turns victims into glass to "preserve" their beauty. Jo is his common target and worse, he's immune to her powers as glass doesn't have a natural decomposition. She also can't shatter him through normal means.

Kudzu is an eco-terrorist who is pretty much like Optimus Primal from Beast Machines: preachy, self righteous and deluded into thinking that technology is wholly bad and that everything nature is wholly good. Seriously I hate how they wrote Primal in that show; like even after he had his realization he was still very extreme till the end. So that's basically what Kudzu is if BM!Primal was written into what he really was: a villain! But enough venting. Kudzu has the literal opposite of Jo's powers.

The Forever Princess is a high ranking member of the Forever Knights. Ironically she is very nice and affable, but is very power-hungry and will do anything to secure that power. She's also manipulates people into serving her by using sweet-talk and playing innocent. An added twist is that she goes after alien artifacts and Earth magic, making her a threat to both communities.

Connie Irving grew up in a similar working class environment to Malina and Robin, but achieved her wealth by associating herself with the criminal underground. To hide her agenda she doesn't flaunt around her wealth, presenting herself as a fake superhero in order to win favors from the middle and lower classes of Detroit. She doesn't forget her working class roots however and hired people to be her henchmen, which makes it hard for Malina to fight as some of them are people she knew growing up.

Blood Diamond (real name Crystal Ann) is a beauty entrepreneur who uses everything beautiful to commit crimes, as well as being a smuggler of things such as gemstones, exotic animals, and sensitive information. A common feature of her character is that she has diamond hard skin, a result of a special skin cream that she uses to amplify her invulnerability and strength. So yeah, she's based on Sharon Stone's character from the 2004 Catwoman movie, but given a lot more depth and motivation and uses the concept of "Evil Cosmetic Diva" much better.

Yoni and Yurei are Odie's personal enemies in my Ninjago fanseason, For the Love of Ninja. While Yoni is cunning and has an insatiable lust for power like Roodaka, Yuri is stony, quiet, and seeks to relieve Ninjago of its problems by brainwashing everyone so that they do good deeds. They directly oppose the Ninja, and prove to be far more experienced foil to the rookie ninja Odie.

Finally, we get to Magmarock, who is Danny Phantom monstersona and a henchman for another villain. He's basically a walking Lava monster who was tricked into believing that his powers can only be used for destruction, but he was already pretty chaotic anyways. His name is a pun on Ragnarok so he speaks like a Norse God.

Laurel giggled to herself as they carried everything back through the portal and to the brothers’ kitchen table. All in all the supplies for the spell looked much like an afternoon tea, save for the crystal dagger on the corner of the tea tray.

The faelian stilled. He certainly did want to frighten any of the curious mers. Frankly, he was equally as curious since most water-faring creatures at home either tried to drown you or eat you.

Yurei watched her work with a rapt smile on his skull while the humans with the not so wolfish looking wolf also watched with interest. "Woooah. That looks cool!" Jacob pointed at the dagger making his mother frown "No one is going to get hurt doing this are we?"

• Loopy Crulle: First name is based on the Abomination Councilor’s exaggerated twisting movements (she can even turn her head around in a full circle!). Surname is derived from a type of donut called a cruller.

• Sonore Skual: First name means “sonorous, echoing, resonant.” Surname is Papiamento for “storm.”

• Ripley Wolsteen: First name is named after an American franchise called “Ripley’s Believe It or Not!” The choice is to coincide with the Beast-Keeping Councilor’s passion for the bizarre. For the surname. Wol- is derived from “wolle” (German translation for wool), and -steen is “stone” in Dutch.

• Berylis Gelumbera: First name is named after a crystal called a Beryl. It is also based on “beryllus” in Latin (technically, the Construction Councilor is planned to have an Ancient Greek motif in her design from the start). Surname is a combination of the following: Gelu- is “cold, frost, etc.” in Latin, -lumber- is hockey slang for a hockey stick (which was originally made out of wood), and the letter A is added at the end because the surname will sound strange without it.

• Ilya Jelyses: First name is named after a Russian biologist who coined the term, “immunology.” Surname is kinda intended to be a pun on jelly, hence why Eda calls the Healing Councilor “jellies” during education board meetings (Ilya is the director of it). -lyses is a medical affix for “destruction, separation.” This coincides with Ilya’s tendency to detach, but regenerate lost limbs.

• Darian Vernworth: First name is inspired by a post on Tumblr (I think, but I can’t find the original since I believe I remember seeing it on this app.) where the first two letters of Adrian’s name can be switched. I don’t need to explain the surname in detail, since Darian is the twin brother of Adrian.

• Yurei Omiku: First name is named after the ghosts in Japanese folklore. Evidently, Yurei’s design is based on a Yokai known as a Tsukumogami, which are “tools that have acquired a kami or spirit” (Wikipedia). Surname is derived from Omikuji, which are fortunes written in stripes to be taken to Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples in Japan.

• Jasmine Kulatai: The Plant Councilor is named after the national flower of the Phillippines, Sampaguita. It’s scientific name is Jasminum sambac, hence where the first name came from. Surname is an alternate name for the flower itself.

• Cherry Zitrino: First name is named after the fruit of the same name. The fruit has acidic properties, and the Potion Councilor’s personality is very sour. Surname is a play on the Portuguese translation of “citrus” and “zit,” a synonym for pimple. Cherry is infamous for sneaking in questionable ingredients into the food of their enemies, which often cause warts to appear on their tongues.
