Zhu: Oppenheimer

Ma: Watched Oppenheimer with Zhu, then went to watch Barbie on her own

Xu Da: Barbie

Yuchun: Barbie

Ouyang: Oppenheimer

Esen: Oppenheimer. Brushed hands with Ouyang by accident in the darkened theatre. Thought nothing of it. Ouyang thought about it for the rest of the movie.

Baoxiang: Gathered his entire household for a public viewing of Barbie, watched Oppenheimer alone in private, then gathered everyone to watch Barbie again just to really drive the point home.

General Zhang: Watched Oppenheimer and then Barbie with Madame Zhang.

Madame Zhang: Watched Oppenheimer and Barbie with General Zhang. Then felt insecure and watched Oppenheimer again, alone.

thinking about She Who Became the Sun and considering how much of a sucker i am for sibling relationships it’s surprising how much i actually really love when the main character realizes that their family has treated them like shit and chooses to let them go. like of course Zhu was upset when her brother died but also he had always treated her poorly and once she met Xu she realized that he is 10x more a brother to her than Chongba ever was and made him her family instead and i love that. i love when the main character realizes that their family is shit and doesn’t go out of their way to keep them safe or doesn’t dedicate the rest of their life to revenge or whatever because honestly sometimes they simply don’t deserve it

I don’t know how to explain it, but Ursa becoming Firelord has the same energy, but absolutely opposite vibes as Zhu becoming Radiant Emperor in She Who Became the Sun

Ouyang cut off Zhu's hand because he though it would ruin her. Zhu bit Ouyang's hand because she knew it was what he needed to keep going.

I know the artist is ZHU not exactly sure which is used for the Lin Kuei trailer or if it was specifically made for it

I know Zhu does the song Fatal which is Mortal Kombat 1 related but it’s not the same song as the Lin Kuei trailer. Maybe the artist does other songs for the trailers too? I’m not entirely sure googling didn’t help much. I asked Stephanie and Tyler on Twitter so maybe they’ll see it and be of help?
