Zombies, Run! Nostalgia

The recent post I reblogged about Zombies, Run! made me quite nostalgic about the early years of the app and the story. And judging from the reblogs, I'm not the only one...

How about we celebrate the story, the community and the fandom of the early years, and all use July to share some of our favourite posts, drawings, headcanons etc from back in the days. Just some great memories of the past. Maybe some bloggers who - like me - have mostly moved on to other things will be interested in joining us, revisiting the past for a bit?

No matter what the new-ish owners decide to do with the app and the story, we will always have those amazing memories, right? And for newer fans it might be nice to see what we've been up to in the past.

Maybe a hashtag might be nice, like... "ZR Nostalgia?" I dunno, anyone interested in joining me? Anyone who can come up with a more catchy name...

I was actually hesitating to post this one here but screw it, this was an old piece I did back at the end of Janurary after a rough day at work and decided to do a rough drawing of Sam and Five hugging. Obviously its not the *best* drawing I've done but I was trying a new method I saw on Pinterest and just really wanted to vent out my feelings. It did bring me comfort so.. It deserves a spot on my Tumblr in its imperfectness.

I used to love the Pettson och Findus (Pettersson und Findus) books as a kid - and still do - and always wanted to try the style. The wackiness of ZR makes a good fit, I think!

ZR glitched out and basically wasn't working with the GPS so when I realized my first 20 minutes I had been going way too fast for what I was trying to do I let myself walk. I've been out there a lot and don't want to hurt myself. When I start to get a stitch I know it's time to ease up unless I'm racing lol.

The uh, propaganda piece really is something. Jamie I miss you dude. Sorry to hear from you under such terrible circumstances.

I think my starting pace was too fast so at 32 minutes i ran out of steam and had to walk for 30 seconds or so then picked it back up again until the 40min mark. I think i can do it. Just gotta pace and fuel better

Survived rocket launcher attack on our helicopter. Evaded zombies, collected a supposedly very important file, and made it to Abel Township. Broadcasting to whoever is listening, I suppose for either my own comfort or my amusement.
