Kevin Graham

Age: 28

“You know what you’re doing right? You are, without a doubt, evil and a enemy of Zemuria.” A traveling priest of the Septian Church, and Dominion No. 5 of the Gralsritter. He is also known as the “Thousand-Hand Guardian.” While he comes off as a softhearted, friendly young man at first glance, he has a strong dedication towards his mission, sometimes even carrying out ruthless judgments. He used to call himself the “Heretic Hunter” and secretly punished those who were deemed unlawful by the Church. But after a certain incident, he looked back to his past and, together with the squire Ries, they decided to use their powers to “protect,” not punish. In The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell O Zemuria, he seems to be on a mission from the Church and seems to be trying to get in contact with Rufus, a man who threw away his past…

Rufus Albarea (voiced by Daisuke Hirakawa)

Age: 32

“I can do it. Without hesitation. Why, I’m ‘inhuman’ after all.”

Former first Governor General of Crossbell and a man from the great aristocrat family of Duke Albarea of the Erebonian Empire. He was imprisoned as a war criminal after the GreatWwar, but two and a half years ago during the second Crossbell incident, an imposter pretending to be Rufus appeared, so he operated under as the masked knight C. After meeting Swin, Nadia, and Lapis, he has the opportunity to reevaluate his life. Following the incident, Rufus threw away his past and took action in secret with Lapis and company to watch over the future of Zemuria, while also being marked by his former enemy, the Central Intelligence Department of the Republic.

Lapis Rosenberg (voiced by Azumi Waki)

Age: ???

“It’s cute and elegant right? Rufus helped me choose it!”

An artificial intelligence of the technological singularity Elysium that inhabits an Rosenberg Studio-made orbal doll. She has human-like susceptibility such as being fixated on giving things cute names and always trying to eat more, but also has tremendous processing capabilities as an artificial intelligence. During a bizarre incident in the Republic, she had her artificial intelligence overwritten and used, but thanks to the Arkride Solutions Office, the Bracer Guild, Swin, and company, she managed to regain her original persona. After this, she went to Ored with Rufus and transferred her artificial intelligence into a new body thanks to the technical prowess of Meister Jorg and Marduk Total Security Company.

Swin Abel (voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara)

Age: 17

“I’m here because I was able to face something… no, someone I hold dear like you.”

A former assassin who escaped the assassins organization Garden and wields a special set of dual blades that can combine and create “markings.” While he may seem dry and rationalistic at first glance, under the surface he is not coldhearted, but a straightforward man of common sense. After escaping Garden with Nadia, they made an oath never to take anyone’s life again, and started a new life with Rufus and Lapis. In The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell O Zemuria, he is sent off on a mission with Rufus, but runs into Kevin, who is targeting the assassins of Garden as part of his illegal hunting…

Nadia Rayne (voiced by Manaka Iwami)

Age: 15

“This is normal for our leader. He might be similar to that ‘Oathbreaker’ person?”

A former assassin girl and Swin’s partner who uses her “Baron Bear,” a stuffed animal with special needs and hidden tools, as a weapon. She is often found being lazy or fawning on Swin, but she is actually a realist with a cold and serious way of thinking. She cares about her partner Swin more than anyone else, and secretly supports him by using her incredible calculation abilities to analyze information and prevent threats from others. Perhaps due to her keen sense of threat detection, she is constantly suspicious of Kevin’s actions.

Elaine Auclair (voiced by Chiwa Saito)

Age: 25

“I can’t just let the Society have it their way. Regardless of what they’re trying to achieve “

An A-rank bracer known by the name “Beauty’s Blade” for her beauty and mastery of the sword. She comes from a distinguished family that runs the confections manufacturer Quincy Company, but after graduating from high school, she overcame her family’s opposition and walked her own path to becoming a bracer. While still understanding their respective positions, she was able to gradually rebuild a relationship with Van, her childhood friend and former school sweetheart with whom she overcame various incidents that occurred in the Republic. In the midst of this… Elaine comes catches wind that anti-immigration organizations around Zemuria are taking action in sync with the Republic’s Startaker Project, and starts her investigation as a bracer.

Rene Kincaid (voiced by Jun Fukuyama)

Age: 26

“It’s classified. You should know this as the head of Arkride Solutions Office.”

An aide and agent of the Central Intelligence Department. He handles a tremendous amount of work while also carrying out operations in the field. He resolutely performs his duties even against those in power, so even President Gramheart respects him. He is like an older brother to Van and Elaine, and while being aware of their different positions, warmly watches over them. However, as the Startaker Project enters its operations phase and the Central Intelligence Department focuses its resources on the plan, his position makes it more difficult to maintain the relationship he previously had.

Raval Ward (10th Burrough)

A quiet residential district located on the hillside of the Republic capital city Edith. While the terrain is somewhat hilly, it is popular amongst the wealthy for its great living conditions such as a park with views of the entire city and its relatively easily access to the Capital highway. Agnes’ family home, the Gramheart residence, and her childhood friend Odette and Albert’s households are also in the area.

Chardin Ward (11th Burrough)

A district famous for sightseeing in the Republic capital city Edith. It is popular amongst tourists abroad for its various facilities such as The Chardin, a grand theater in the main square that hosts various performances; the bookmaker Merida, who is also a factor of the Zenith-1 races’ popularity; and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art that houses many works by up and coming artists.

The Legend of Heroes: Kai no Kiseki – Farewell O Zemuria is due out for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on September 26 in Japan.

It's clear they're all meant to be members of the Gralsritter. Excpet actually they're all clearly Dominions, given you have 5 named dominions there. And one ex-dominion (how does that work exactly? The games will probably never explain)

That fanart I reblogged reminds me: it's very funny in Trails to Azure that the game makes a point of showing Kevin and Ries talk about why she's going into Crossbell alone- because the Archbishop of Crossbell hates the Gralsritter and (presumably) knows that Kevin is the Fifth Dominion- and she wanders in and immediately everyone at the church is like "Ries Argent? You and your bright pink hair wouldn't happen to be related to the infamous Gralsritter Knight Rufina Argent, would you?"

Trails in the Sky | Sora no Kiseki

Anything in any of the three Sky games or something in between them. Missing scenes, scene extensions, travel along the roads, airship travel times, etc. Ample opportunity for anything in the Garden in 3rd. I love these characters, their world, their relationships or potential for.

Estelle Bright & Cassius Bright: Any kind of father-daughter bonding time. Pre-FC, post-SC before she and Joshua set off, post-return to Liberl, anywhere something can fit really.

Estelle Bright & Olivier Lenheim | Olivert Reise Arnor: Estelle is perpetually and understandably exasperated with him, but what about a quieter moment? Parting ways after SC, or some encouragement at some point during SC for Estelle, or Estelle catching Olivier in an off moment (example: like their talk about the dreams from Luciola).

Estelle Bright & Tita Russell: Sisters! Anything showing a sisterly bond is great.

Julia Schwarz & Mueller Vander: They share the same role with drastically different charges. Relate to one another in some respects? Do some training? Commiserate? Encourage through some similar worries for Kloe and Olivier respectively?

Kevin Graham & Ries Argent: Kevin is a dumbass and is lucky Ries is patient for this self-deprecating fool. More seriously anything about their relationship is good during 3rd or post-3rd (nothing that could spoil Cold Steel III or IV please)

Olivier Lenheim | Olivert Reise Arnor: Just Olivier being Olivier during his Liberl travels either when he’s alone or while he’s with the group, whether it’s outrageous Olivier or quiet time Olivier with a hell of a long road ahead of him on this battle he’s chosen.

Kloe Rinz & Julia Schwarz: Beyond their bond as knight and princess I think they love each other platonically. Sisterly? Something showing their close bond. Helping each other out? Julia protects Kloe but Kloe protects her back in turn? Talks of duty but also personal wants?

The Legend of Heroes VII | Zero/Ao no Kiseki

These games hit my found family buttons hard. Anything portraying some kind of relationship among these characters is awesome. Any combination of these characters is more than welcome too!

Elie MacDowell: Explore Elie’s thoughts and feelings on everything that’s happening in Crossbell. What about her personal feelings on the Croises and betrayed by Mariabell? Her feelings on her own standing and what she wants?

Cecil Neues & Ilya Platiere: They’re an odd friendship and both married to their work but they make it work. Anything exploring their friendship or the time while Ilya was hospitalized--hard on both of them in different ways.

Elie MacDowell & Tio Plato & KeA: Girl’s day out! Aidios knows they could use one. Some kind of Mishy involvement is a bonus (or a necessity in Tio’s eyes).

Lloyd Bannings & KeA: Lloyd is the daddest of dads. Lloyd and KeA time of any sort is good.

Lloyd Bannings & Randy Orlando: They’ve both lost family but they can be brothers for each other. Supporting each other

Randy Orlando & Tio Plato: Big brother Randy and little sister Tio? They both lost their childhoods. Something to relate on?

Rixia Mao/Ilya Platiere: While Ilya clearly cares for Rixia, Rixia’s love may be one-sided (for the time being at least, perhaps more in the future?). Rixia’s thoughts and fears while Ilya is hospitalized. Once awake, Ilya’s concerns for what Rixia really wants and her place--she belongs with Arc-en-Ciel and they both know it

Sergei Lou & Alex Dudley: Past working together or connections in current time. Wildly different personalities but Dudley still listens to Sergei. Anything exploring their working relationship, or anything exploring them off the job on break.

Sergei Lou & KeA: Grumpy uncle Sergei cannot resist the charms of KeA. Anything familial (possibly despite himself) between these two.

Shizuku MacLaine & KeA: Let these kids be happy. Give them a good time together.

Wazy Hemisphere & Noel Seeker: The temporary SSS members, outliers that never quite fit the same as our core four. They’re completely different in personality but how might they connect at least for a little while?

Randy Orlando: Always interested in anything exploring Randy’s struggles with home and family and where his place is (the night he runs away included!). He belongs with SSS but it’s hard for him to see. Also appreciate how casino owner Drake looks out for him. He’s cared for even if he can’t always see it!

Following the theme of these games, bonds! Old bonds, new bonds, forming bonds!

Elliot Craig & Fie Claussell: They don’t get much interaction in-game all told, but I have a special soft spot for a budding friendship between them. School days activities or something during the month they (and Machias) spent in the Celdic area between CS I and II?

Fie Clausell & Instructor Beatrix: Fie finding comfort in Beatrix’s presence. Beatrix looking out for her.

Olivier Lenheim | Olivert Reise Arnor & Alfin Reise Arnor & Mueller Vander: Olivier is Too Much. Alfin is Too Much. What is a Mueller to do when he’s got both of them around?

Olivier Lenheim | Olivert Reise Arnor & Alfin Reise Arnor: Alfin is very much Olivier’s sister. Little sister and big brother shenanigans! Or maybe something welcoming him back to Erebonia?

Olivier Lenheim | Olivert Reise Arnor & Mueller Vander, Olivier Lenheim | Olivert Reise Arnor/Mueller Vande:  Gen or romance slant. I’m good with either or one with shades of the other. I enjoy Mueller and Olivier’s closeness and how they contrast each other. Olivier’s more eccentric and flamboyant nature, but also his more serious side. And Mueller’s regular exasperation with him, but also his care for him. Being there for each other. I’m fond of the little things like how Mueller always calls him Olivier even in Erebonia when Olivert’s identity is known and public. Heimdallr fun or trouble (Olivier…). Planning against Osborne. Look after a tired Olivert? Something during the civil war when they’re in the west?

Principal Vandyck & Instructor Beatrix: Both are more than they appear. I loved the Instructor teamup in the last part of CS I and these two have a history. Explore their connection, or reminiscing. Would also be interested in their activities during Trista’s occupation.

Towa Herschel & George Nome & Angelica Rogner: Anything exploring their friendship, or perhaps something during their time as the proto Class VII or their memories of that time in comparison (or contrast) to the new Class VII?

Mueller Vander & Elise Schwarzer: Elise is sliding into a similar role for Alfin as Mueller for Olivier. Maybe he can give her some advice? Or the two stand by while their respective charges/friends are <vague gesture> That. One way or another the siblings are a handful and Mueller and Elise know it (and if forced into honesty wouldn’t have it any other way).

Another case of give me all the found family joys. Daily activities while they travel? Post Peaceful revolution activities? (Note: I’m good with any of the _ae options for Vagabond girl for naming purposes)

Big Bertrude & Volfred Sandalwood: I adore their close friendship and that it came about from Bertrude’s unrequited love, but it’s okay, better than okay! Anything between them in their history, or during the Nightwings travels or post revolution would be great.

Big Bertrude & Sir Gilman: Big snakes and little snake. Grump and enthusiast. Awkward mutual (grudging?) respect?

Jodariel & Sir Gilman: Contrasts in everything from personality to size. Something exploring that would be great

Tariq | The Lone Minstrel & Big Bertrude: We don’t see a lot of interaction between them. How do they get along? What stories might they share? An appreciation for music or something to tolerate? What does a day in the blackwagon look like between them?

Tariq | The Lone Minstrel & Sir Gilman: The Moon and the Wyrm. Music and Knighting. Just these two interacting somehow

Vagabond Girl & Jodariel: Jodariel going mom-mode on _ae? Or just a big hug? _ae being far more enthusiastic than Jodi is used to these days?

Vagabond Girl & Sir Gilman: So much energy!

Volfred Sandalwood & Sandra: So much potential for interaction as a reader. And snark. And an unimpressed Sandra. But on some things they can maybe agree...

Cayenne Garamonde | Cyan Garamonde (FFVI): Where does Cyan go when the world is saved? What is a new home for Cyan? Alternatively a look at Cyan’s time during the year between the World of Balance and the World of Ruin

Celes Chere (FFVI): Opera Celes! Celes time away from the party after Vector. Celes after the world is saved--what does she do, where does she go?

Edgar Roni Figaro & Setzer Gabbiani: King and Engineer in a mechanical moving castle? Pilot of the only airship? They could have some great talks. Maybe some proposed airship upgrades?

You know... at the beginning of this game making those decision was A LOT easier XD I mean, I want to save the girl and don’t care about the money, trusting Eddy with the money would but him in danger and he seems to be a good kid after all. So I really shouldn’t do that. You know I will chose they Gray-Route if I do not absolutely disagree with it, because I want to avoid Law-points. So I do chose the Gray route here, because its not like I don’t trust Eddy with this at all. But if I would not try to avoid the Law-Route at all costs, I would certainly just give those assholes the damn money.

That flute that G used to summon monsters was supposed to be a one of a kind. Makes you wonder if someone now has the ability to produce those things O.o

I agree. Tho the fake priest said that he can only summon and control one monster that he has to feed regularly in order for it to even listen to him. So his artifact is different from Gs back then.

Here I am, running around killing monsters left, right and center and then the game seriously gives me THIS. I would usually simply kill the monster. But I guess I see it as some sort of pet and decide to warn the priest instead? It brings chaos points after all. In a playthrough were I would not mind the law route, I would certainly kill the monster, tho ^^’

The fake priest got first attacked by his own monster and then buried under the rubble... I feel kind of bad now ^^’

The church has a bunch of weird people ^^’ Honestly, they actually ONLY have weird people. Its start with Kevin, goes over Thomas and Gaius and ends with these guys. No, in fact it doesn’t even end with Eien, who very own boyfriend calls her a monster, no it end with the old guy that played dead and... uh... we will get to that later.

This brat - uh... I mean girl - is one of those cases were you think “how the hell can she be not related to that other character?!” I mean it, just like I will NEVER get how Arios and Rean are not related in any way, it seems almost ridicioulus that this isn’t like Shirleys Twinsister. I mean, imagine the fun of one of the being the murderous bloody Shirley of the red constellation and the other one being a brat from the freaking Gralsritter? This is like Class7 meeting with Ouroboros, the Ironbloods, the Gnoms and the Witches, as well as the Dominions at the same time ^^’

Absolutely NOTHING is settled here. This was a total waste of everyone time - mine not included, this was quite amusing in a weird way - and we got nothing useful out of it.

Falcom has opened the official website for The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki, the December 2019-announced latest entry in its Trails series, which details the characters and keywords centered on police inspector Lloyd Bannings, one of three protagonists in the RPG.

Crossbell State

Located between the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Calvard, Crossbell is an autonomous state that has developed as a huge trade city.

Although it continued to exist under the pressure of the two nations for about 70 years, in S. 1205, the Empire took advantage of the chaos caused by Dieter Crois’ “Crossbell Declaration of Independence” and annexed the state.

Afterwards, following the ceasefire of the “World War”—which involved the Erebonian Empire, the Republic of Calvard, and neighboring countries—withdrawal of the Imperial Army stationed in Crossbell was determined.

Although the Government-General Security Force that opposed this decision occupied the entire city, it was successfully liberated by the efforts of the people, especially the Special Support Section.

In S. 1207, two years since the Empire’s occupation, Crossbell is planned to regain its autonomy at the “Reindependence Signing Ceremony” under the Holy City of Arteria’s acknowledgement.

Crossbell Police Department Special Support Section

A division established within the Crossbell Police Department, agency that maintains the public order of Crossbell, to counteract the Bracer Guild.

While it was slighted as a “publicity stunt” at first and ignored by the people, its significance was reviewed as the team frequently solved difficult cases that occurred in Crossbell, and it earned the trust of the citizens.

After the occupation of Crossbell by the Empire, the Crossbell Police Department was reorganized as the Crossbell Military Police, and while the Special Support Section was virtually dissolved, Lloyd and company’s efforts later liberated Crossbell.

To maintain public order in the city, the Military Police was immediately dissolved, and reorganized as the Crossbell Police Department / Crossbell Guardian Force. Many former members of the Police Department and Guardian Force were able to return to their old jobs.

In the process, the restart of the Special Support Section was decided, with original members Lloyd, Elie, Tio, and Randy resuming activity under the direction of Chief Sergei.

Lloyd Bannings

“Let’s keep doing our best—to protect this city and its people.”

Leader of the Special Support Section of the Crossbell Police Department. He has a strong sense of justice and indomitable spirit, and has solved many difficult cases in Crossbell State.

After the occupation of Crossbell by the Empire, Lloyd was wanted as a key suspect, but while escaping from his pursuer with KeA, a girl who the Special Support Section was protecting, and Arios, an A-rank Bracer, he continued underground operations for the liberation of Crossbell.

Two years and several months later, Crossbell was successfully liberated, and Lloyd resumed Special Support Section activity with the same members as before.

While being welcomed by the citizens for resuming their activity, Lloyd himself is looking forward to the day of the “Reindependence Signing Ceremony,” but…

Elie MacDowell

“People from truly different walks have given us their support.”

The granddaughter of Crossbell council chairman Henry MacDowell. A woman gifted in both beauty and brains, she supports the Special Support Section as the assistant to the leader.

After the occupation of Crossbell, the Special Support Section dissolved, and she utilized her experience from studying abroad in her youth and excellent political sense to seek out a path for Crossbell’s reindependence on her own, such as by making contact with key figures in the Empire and the Reinford Group.

After reindependence, she resumed her Special Support Section activity with Lloyd and the others. While working on support requests, she currently spends her days supporting diplomacy as secretary to her grandfather chairman MacDowell, who also is a representative at the “Reindependence Signing Ceremony.”

Tio Plato

“If we were able to overcome these last two years, then surely…!”

A member of the Special Support Section and young chief researcher at the Crossbell branch of the Epstein Foundation.

After the occupation of Crossbell by the Empire, she was under surveillance by the Imperial Army’s Intelligence Division, and despite her restricted action, cooperated with Lloyd and the others behind the scenes.

In that process, she made contact with the Empire’s Thors Military Academy (both the new and former Class VII) and the neighboring countries’ Orbal engineers, as well as became good friends with Alisa Reinford, the daughter of the Reinford Group, and Tita Russell, an exchange student from the Liberl Kingdom at Thors Branch Campus.

After resuming her Special Support Section activity, she returns to the scene as one of the division’s original members. Furthermore, as a chief researcher cooperating with both the ZCF (Zeiss Central Factory) and Reinford Group, she is also walking the path of an Orbal researcher.

Randy Orlando

“I’ve seen it many times in the Empire—those who found the light while walking a rocky road.”

The reliable senior member of the Crossbell Police Department’s Special Support Section, who once belonged to the “Red Constellation” jaeger corps.

After the occupation of Crossbell by the Empire, he was separated from his comrades by the strategy of Crossbell’s first governor-general Rufus Albarea, and worked as an instructor at Thors Branch Campus. Through that, he gained experience as an instructor in the Empire, and shared strong bonds with many people in the Empire, including the students of Class VII (both new and former) at Thors Military Academy.

After the reindependence of Crossbell, Randy, whose tenure as an instructor ended, decided to return to his home country.

While he was somewhat reluctant to leave his post at the Branch Campus where he trained the next generation of soldiers, he resumed his role in the Special Support Section.

Noel Seeker

“It’s like I told you, we’re members of the Special Support Section!”

A female member who specializes in heavy weapons use and vehicle driving skills, regarded as the next ace of the Crossbell Guardian Force.

She joined in on the activities of the Special Support Section for a period of time as a loan member, and resolved many difficult cases with Lloyd and the others.

During the occupation of Crossbell by the Empire, she worked in secret to engage in resistance activity with volunteers in the Guardian Force, and supported Lloyd and company behind the scenes through gathering intelligence on the military and such.

When reindependence was determined, Noel returned to the reorganized Guardian Force and was promoted from “sergeant major” to “second lieutenant.” In preparation for the “Reindependence Signing Ceremony,” she is on Guardian Force duty under the direction of Commander Sonya.

Wazy Hemisphere

“I’m really lucky to be surrounded by such excellent partners.”

A mysterious young man whose androgynous looks attract public attention. A Knight who belongs to the Gralsritter, he bears the name “Blue Testament” as the 9th Dominion.

He once falsified his identity and went into hiding in the Downtown District of Crossbell, performing various activities, including leading a gang of a delinquents called the “Testaments,” and working as an additional member of the Special Support Section with Lloyd.

After occupation, he left Crossbell and traveled to various countries as a Dominion, and with his participation in the Septian Church’s “Reindependence Signing Ceremony,” he will revisit the land of Crossbell to which he is deeply connected alongside new partners.

The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki is due out for PlayStation 4 this summer in Japan.
