Met Jason Schwartzman today, at the Venice Film Festival. I think at least 20 people completely surrounded him after the showing of Pavements (2024). He was so incredibly kind with every single one of us, very soft-spoken, took the time for an autograp or a picture with everybody, and I mean, EVERYBODY (security had to tell him numerous times to get out of the cinema because they had to show another movie). And even outside the cinema, he kept chattering with us and taking pictures and signing photos and programs of the Festival. He thanked us numerous times for coming to see him, seeing his movies, paying him compliments. He seemed almost as happy to see us as we were to see him. I got to tell him that one of my favourite movie characters of all time was Max Fischer, from Rushmore (his first movie ever). He was pleasantly surprised, a little endeared dare I say, thanked me for that and I think he paid me a compliment as well but I kinda blacked out from the emotion. I just remember that at some point I said "Thank you for being you" and he said "Thank you for being you" and I still think I died on the spot and I am currently in heaven. It was such a nice moment, I wanted to share.

Exciting news!

I'm honored to have been a guest reader for the British Fantasy Society today. I shared an excerpt from Their Majesties’ Pleasure, and it was the first time they’ve had a reading from an interactive fiction novel!

I’m humbled and pleased to have shared a virtual stage with other accomplished authors and to represent IF as a whole at this event.

Just a.. simple fixation, that’s all. And fixations can be overcome by other fixations, right? That’s what Aurelia kept in mind as she desperately tried to keep a certain devil off of her mind, and attempted to fixate on.. what was this book about again?

Aurelia let out a frustrated sigh, putting the book back where it came from as this clearly wasn’t going to work. Of course she’d heard the stories about devils.. their temptations and double-twisted words that could lure anyone into their contracts. And by the gods, did Mizora tempt her. Aurelia can’t lie about the fact that.. she considered it, wondering how it would feel to have magic from different sources and whether she could combine them. However, she eventually ended up regaining her senses. And even if she hadn’t.. Mystra ensured she would. Even if only twenty-one, people knew she would eventually become a chosen with the way she mastered the weave, pushed beyond boundaries and dedicated herself wholly. So, to have a future chosen tied to a devil? Impossible.

She had felt Mystra’s disapproval ever since meeting Mizora little over a year ago, and it only heightened when said meetings didn’t stop. But really, Aurelia wasn’t doing anything against the rules.. it was all just… research. An in-depth research about devils. It’s all.. good. She didn’t make a deal, and that’s what Mystra wanted to prevent, so. She’s playing by the book, technically. And it’s not like they’d do anything beyond civilised conversations, obviously.

That’s also what she thought to herself as she laid there, in bed, with a hand sneaking between her legs whilst conjuring up images of her favourite cambion. Just a little fantasising couldn’t hurt anything, right? A soft gasp escaped her as her fingers found already soaked folds, not that it should surprise her. She’d been worked up for too long now, too stubborn to give in before now. In truth, she’d never truly cared about this or sex before.. her. In fact, she’s never been with anyone simply because no one’s interesting enough to her. But by the gods, if Mizora wasn’t some kind of.. exception.

Her eyes fell shut as she immersed herself in the mental images she masterfully crafted, her free hand coming up squeeze her breast, thumbing her nipple as her hips gently rocked against her own fingers that circled her clit. It didn’t take long before she accidentally moaned the cambion’s name, followed by an overpowering wave of disapproval washing over her.. surprisingly enough, her body reacted with almost painful spikes of pleasure and arousal, back arching as she could feel herself grow impossibly slick. Oh, that is.. interesting. She’d firmly deny moaning “Mizora” louder to see if she’d get another wave of disapproval.. which she indeed got. Along with the intense pleasure following. She dedicates herself to Mystra and her studies entirely, but she will not have this.

So really, it was no surprise that she quickly hurtled towards an orgasm.. finally allowing herself to indulge in her fantasy, finding pleasure in disapproval from the one being she should definitely seek approval in.. Aurelia surprised herself when she came with a loud moan, a certain name on her lips. What surprised her even more was that she didn’t even feel satisfied, she was still left thirsting for more.. until she opened her eyes and saw the devil she just thought about, whose name she just moaned, standing right there. “Oh, fucking hells, Mizora! Why.. how..” Her mind clearly a mess as she quickly sat up, blanket thrown around herself as if she hadn’t just seen everything already. Her chest, neck and entire face would surely be near crimson red with the embarrassment she felt. Aurelia couldn’t look at Mizora, leaning her head against her pulled up knees to hide her face. “You may not be a mortal, but does knocking as a form of decency not exist at all for you?” As she questioned Mizora, her sanity dared question herself for not sending the cambion away then and there.. her answer? Well, she didn’t have one. All she knew is that Mizora would use this to tease her for years to come, possibly till she dies and maybe even after that..

( those two coexist in my mind. If I'm not shipping Cindy with Felix, I'm most likely shipping her with Emmy. Same goes for the boys. Listen, you just gotta see the vision )

Now for some that I like but I'm not as crazy about as the ones above: Perla, Bindy, Felonty, oooh and I really like Austemmy!! and a bunch of others. And I mean a BUNCH.

But yeah I'm veeery open minded when it comes to ships, the joy of being a multishipper ^^

Ashler but in a soulmate au would be hilarious.

I feel like they would officially meet (or however soulmates are represented as in the au) like at 8 or 9.

They would awkwardly stare at each other for a minute. During the minute they would come to the conclusion to completely ignore this happened at all cause neither of them want a soulmate.

like Tyler is really worried about his sister and mom and honestly just doesn’t want to have to open up to (deal with/care about) another person.

and Ashlyn just hates the idea of soulmates since forever.

Cue ignoring and avoiding each other for seven years.

and then the trip to Savannah happens and they’re like “darn it” and are now forced to deal with the whole soulmate thing.

Hi! What a wonderful ask! I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed Ink and Intrigue and Their Majesties' Pleasure! Thank you so much for saying so!

I actually had to look up faceclaims. 🤣 Yes, I'm old-ish.

I don't really have a celebrity cast or anything for my characters. The only solid FCs I have to share are the illustrations I used as inspiration for Prince Galen and Prince Julian while writing TMP. These beauties are on my wallpaper, staring at me with intensity whenever I manage to close or hide all my programs. I love them so! This art is by Asha Venger and shared with permission. I would LOVE to commission art for my WIP characters from her! Gah! It would be an absolute dream. These are actually Celengorm and Curufin from LotR.

As for the rest of the characters, I try to describe them as best I can in the stories and let the reader imagine as they will. The game art by Adrien Valdes is really well done. I provided a bunch of images as guides for the artist, including the ones above, but the other examples are from artists I don't have permission to share, or AI art used out of desperation to give Adrien a guide to follow. (I won't share AI art publicly for obvious reasons.) Here is the game art for each of my games, just so we can have it all in one place and admire the pretties!

I love this art. Really truly.

Though I'd still love to get more character art commissioned for TMP and INK, I'm hoping to have a patreon up soon so I can start saving for character commissions for my next project.
