Imagine you're some Inquisition lackey and the Inquisitor, an already famous decorated war hero and ender of the 5th Blight, looks you dead in the eyes and starts confidently pronouncing the x in Val Royeaux. I'd lose my mind.

For Warrior Bites: What about one of the clans having a sort of dip, like a cat version of salsa or gravy?
mhhh fried grasshopper-poppers sizzling on the grillstone and whipping up a juniper-gravy dipping sauce. Warrior cat nuggies.
I initially planned for WindClan to be the ones to make dipping sauces, since they love novelty, have breadcrumbs, and have a lot of rabbit meat on hand to bread and fry. Plus the grasshoppers. But the more I think about it, it's the sort of thing all the clans EXCEPT RiverClan would do.
ThunderClan's dipping sauces would be fruity or honey-based, and they'd have a lot of gravy. Mostly they use these as marinades, not dipping sauces.
Because ShadowClan ferments and has access to vinegar, plus the marshes and pine trees full of birds and eggs, they have the ability to make something similar to mayonnaise which can be made into tartar sauce or remoulade. Not to mention their access to juniper, mushrooms, rosemary, and other spices...
WindClan is the only Clan that can bread and fry things, and BOY do they want sauce. Problem is that they may not have a ton of spices on the moor. They CAN make blood sauce, though, since they have so many rabbits. It would taste deliciously salty; rare before the Lake Territory when you have to boil plant roots to get that.
RiverClan is touchy about their food culture. They think raw fish is healthier for you, and prefer it to be roasted or baked. If they put their mind to it though, there's tons of spices and herbs to be found by the river. Not to mention that they can make fish sauce, if they ever decided to ferment it.
And SkyClan? While you weren't looking they just stole your ketchup. Sorry.

i just thought this was an incredibly funny chain of events. the song is 'my hallelujah' by autoheart btw <3
also, a quick ramble about why i think this is. due to the nature of the life series specifically as, yknow, an entertainment-focused youtube improv roleplay series, most of the ccs aren't... deliberately acting out characters with fully-realized arcs, and especially not relationships between characters. i mean, they're not taking it entirely seriously! as they shouldn't! it's a lot of fun to watch these creators just mess around because they're all friends in real life. but because of that, when you take only what's shown on-screen and separate it from this piece of real-world context, you get some like pretty messed-up relationships lmao. it's super fun to analyze tho :3

I started this blog not even a year and a half ago, and it's wild how I used to regularly have a queue 100+ posts long just by browsing the main Overwatch tag and queueing up all the art and funnies I liked. Nowadays my queue typically has <5 posts if it has any. The amount of art and other quality content in the OW tag has dwindled so much in a relatively short period of time.
I liked the size the fandom was around OW2's launch, small but active, with just enough new people joining to keep it alive without swarming it. Now the fanbase truly feels like it's on life support. What corporate greed did to this game hurts me in a personal way, mainly because it didn't have to be like this. It was such an unnecessary slaughter of a good series.

Proportion of “Never” answers for the “how often do you have sex” poll thus far is like. I know these results are hardly scientific and correlation does not equal causation BUT. Feels like it explains some Takes I’ve seen on this website.

was just reading thirteen storeys casually and
Damian is walking slowly back and forth, holding a tape measure. His hair has returned to its relatively unkempt state, and his shirt is now partially unbuttoned. Beneath it can be seen a chest binder and what appears to be a battered St Christopher medal on a thin metal chain.
- Thirteen Storeys by Jonathan Sims
TRANS MAN CHARACTER
I’m not even joking when I say I stopped breathing and was so overcome with emotion I had to put the book down for several minutes
but fuckin hell it means a lot to see representation. also damian is cool
something to be said also for the overt contempt of billionaires
Im love you mr sims

Op is a terf that consistently misgenders transgender people on her blog and handwrings about the dangers of transition. She refers to transmascs as mislead autistic and gnc lesbian girls and transfems as homosexual men. The post must have felt affirming in the moment, but I think it changes context with the information on how the op views transgender people, do you agree?
ah fecks sake :( ty for taking the time to give me a heads up, i appreciate it. looking through her blog now i see what you mean, i shouldve scoped a bit before rbing
i know op of the screenshot in that post is likely referring to being suspicious of terf blogs. but it's so scary and frustrating being in this climate rn where there's a set amount of Women's Rights (purposefully vague) you can care about in a row before setting off red flags for being part of a hate group. it's incredibly depressing that that's the state of things, and that terfs sowing their shit have allowed things to get this way
i completely understand the experience of having hackles raised at a post abt misogyny that's a little too vague or reads a bit off. i get it all the time too, having to read and reread a post a couple times and check op's tags and check their blog, etc. it's exhausting at best and just incredibly vile that terfs have infested the conversation to such a point that plenty of people are wary of engaging with any discussions abt feminism at all. incredibly disheartening all around.
and i know that that jumpiness in combing for red flags, esp for trans people, is a necessary reflex for keeping themselves and others safe. im cis so ofc i can only imagine how much more exhausting and disheartening it is trying to navigate these spaces while trans.
i'm very sad about how a lot of feminist discourse online feels like it's come to a halt or circled back to square one on a lot of basic shit because of this necessary hypervigilant doubling back where people have to be incredibly specific to not have their words twisted and reappropriated by bad faith takes and literal fucking hate groups. which unfortunately is pretty standard for any discussion on marginalisation on tumblr and other sites. but it really has killed a lot of important discussion on feminism and i really lament that, it's been on my mind for ages. it's really hard to make any kind of progress in the conversation when you can't just assume people can be normal about trans people for five fucking seconds. im sorry things are like this

Can we talk about how BCBS is screwing SLPs?
The title says it all. I am a private practice SLP-Intern and I have recently become aware of some private practice owners stating that Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) is planning to cut reimbursement rates in at least one state by like at least $10. I looked into it and found this was after having a banner year in 2022 during which they made record profits. In addition, apparently in most states (except for North Carolina) they have not raised the reimbursement rates to SLPs in 13 years.
Record. Freaking. Profits.
I'm not sure what the justification is. But it's asinine that they act as if they can't pay SLP services properly while stuffing their faces (metaphorically).
The cuts are supposed to take place next year in February. There is a campaign going on over social media, as BCBS also has the audacity to turn around and publicly pat themselves on the back for "doing so much to help improve the lives of mothers and babies and promote early intervention".
Spread the word. This is horrendously unfair to SLPs and families.
