(Also, side note, one of the running jokes and gags in the series is that its REALLY obvious when a character likes another. Joan and Abe in s1, Abe and Cleo in s1, Abe and Joan in s2, JFK and Joan in s2, Frida and Cleo, and even Harriet and JFK when that was happening. So putting this into consideration, wouldnt the writers make Tophers crush on Joan a LITTLE obvious, or at least make Topher TRY to talk to Joan more than once?? But no, they dont. Instead, the only real relationship Topher has with ANYBODY is Abe, and it REAAALLLLYYY feels like they’re trying to set up a “mf is rlly deep in the closet” gag)
