I am not going to defend myself, Your Majesty. Whatever I say, your decision will not change anyway. I could calm you by denying it, but I don't intend to do it. Throw me into the fire like you did with your family and other people you loved. [...] So this is [absolute loyalty] why you killed them all? Hatice, Ibrahim, Mustafa, Çihangir...I remember how our father Selim Han died. He didn't die easily. God did not let him leave this world without suffering first. The same fate awaits you!
Fatma + roasting Suleiman to his face (and to others)
Happy (belated) Birthday Plami! @mc-critical

I wish that more English Danganronpa V3 fans knew that in the original Japanese version, Gonta didn’t talk in caveman/Hulk speech. He spoke in normal polite Japanese, only struggling with the meaning of certain words from his lack of experience. He did however talk in third person but Tenko and Angie did as well. In Japanese 3rd person speech works and is used to make characters cute and childish. But in English none of this comes across and instead is just distracting. Its obvious that the NISA translators only kept Gonta in 3rd person to insert weird American humor into the series.
I especially dislike this translation because Gonta is one of the most important characters in ndrv3, especially when it comes to Kokichi’s character arc. Now, instead of being the sweet and naive entomologist who allows the audience to see beneath Kokichi’s mask, he is now seen as nothing but a joke side character.
Which not only ruins Gonta’s entire character but also makes Kokichi’s character and intentions even more confusing.
(No wonder people are confused that Kokichi and Gonta got official Anniversary wine together haha)
To make things worse, they also changed Kokichi’s character by making him more childish and aggressive.(even going as far as changing his sprites on scenes!) I’d say one of the worst mistranslations though was making his whiteboard have “trustworthy?” written below the photo of Shuichi. In Japanese it says something more along the lines of “dangerous?” or “untrustworthy?”. I really don’t know how they messed this up but it was likely because there was a translator who wanted Kokichi to be shipped with the protagonist. The translation error to me was strange because most of his interactions with Shuichi were negative so, to suddenly say that Shuichi was the only one he trusted would feel like a contradiction. It’s also frustrating because, the original whiteboard translation imo implies that Kokichi may have suspected that Shuichi was the mastermind which is SO INTERESTING and gives their dynamic so much more depth.

In conclusion: NISA ruined V3 lol

TELL ME ALLLL ABOUT YOUR BG3 OCS!
AHHHHH, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ASKING!! Okay, so as I said, I don’t have actual appearances for my babies since I don’t have the game, but I will happy give you some info about them.
I have five OCs currently planned:
Raven Waters (they/them), Wyll ship. Human bard, College of Lore subclass, with an urchin past. Grew up on the streets of Baldur’s Gate after being orphaned at a young age and became a decently well-known entertainer when they got older, performing at festivals and every tavern and inn in the area. Very cunning, sarcastic, and good at reading people, and is very unhappy about being snatched off the street only to have a worm stuck in their brain. Cares about people sort of in the way Astarion does - reluctantly and with no small amount of complaining but very deeply - and even though they don’t think much of Wyll at first because they don’t trust nobility or anyone wealthy, it doesn’t take long for them to become endeared by him. Also becomes absolute besties with Astarion because they literally laugh in his face when he tries to seduce them and once he gets over that they have fun judging people together. (There is also definitely an AU where Raven is dating both Wyll and Astarion, but they’re officially a Wyll ship.)
Amalal Quavein (he/they), Astarion ship. Seldarine drow and cleric of the Light Domain for the goddess Eilistrae with a sage past (he’s a huge bookworm when they can get his hands on some), and has been travelling around Faerun since they were just young, trying to find allies to assist in the Seldarine drows’ fight against Lolth and helping everyone he can along the way, before they get snatched up and taken to the nautiloid ship. He’s a total sweetheart who loves caring for people and fighting against tyrants and darker forces, but they’re also a bit socially stunted from being alone on the road for a lot of his life, which can lead people to think he’s naïve even when they aren’t. Astarion definitely thinks this at first, and thinks seducing Amalal will be easy, but really he’s just one of those people who always chooses kindness and doing the right thing because they want to make the world a better place and that’s the best way he knows how to do it. (They’re also asexual, which is very funny given Astarion’s whole seduction thing because not only is Amalal unfamiliar with seduction as a concept but he genuinely Does Not Feel Sexual Things, so they’re painfully oblivious to Astarion’s attempts the whole time.)
Nifara Reedwood (she/her), Gale ship. Strongheart halfling ranger, of the hunter subclass, with an outlander past who was raised in the wilderness and therefore has a very strong connection with nature. Travels all around Faerun hunting and tracking creatures from other realms, making it her personal mission to keep any kinds of invaders from attacking her realm and harming its nature. Also has a very strong bond with animals and is resistant to poison due to all the she’s spent in Faerun’s swamps. A complete and total badass, but is also kind of socially stunted due to all the time she’s spent alone on the road with only animals and the creatures she hunts. Brutally honest and has a quick temper, but also one that’s quick to calm back down if there’s no need for an actual fight, and although she’s slow to trust people would gladly kill and die for those she cares about and absolutely will not let them talk bad about themselves. (Very nearly smacks Gale for not believing he’s worth more than his magic and service to Mystra and calls him an idiot for it more than once, and then somehow that wanting him to think more of himself turns to catching feelings and she’s just like, “Ah, shit”. It’s fine, though, because Gale comes to love her too.)
Nisa Mournspire (they/she), Halsin ship. Mephistopheles tiefling paladin of the Oath of Devotion subclass, with a folk hero background. Adopted when they were a baby by a human couple, but never felt truly loved by them since she wasn’t their blood child, even if they’d given her their last name. Devoted themself to prayer from an early age as a way to feel some kind of belonging and purpose, and took her Oath and set out from their village to travel around and help people when she was only twenty years old. Gained a bit of a reputation around all of Faerun for their heroics, and eventually came to be known as The Horned Warrior. Taken from Baldur’s Gate by the Mindflayer’s goons when she stopped in for the night, and doesn’t hesitate to recruit Karlach and Lae’zel when they’re all on the beach, seeing defeating the Mindflayer and removing the parasites as yet another mission they’re committing to. Very warm and compassionate, able to make friends almost everywhere she goes, and fears almost nothing if it means helping others. A bit of a hopeless romantic who wants to find true love, but also isn’t against brief flings. Does sleep with Astarion once or twice (but they’re incredibly good about it and makes sure he feels good too, because she can tell he’s not used to that), but definitely takes a liking to Halsin very quickly after meeting him and spends a good amount of time staring at his biceps (which annoys Lae’zel incredibly because that should not be the focus right now).
Ellora Keyvaris (she/her), Karlach ship. High Elf half-elf wizard of the Conjuration School subclass with a noble background. Grew up in a wealthy family that was very devoted to maintaining appearances and always trotted her out to social events, but she was much more interested in magic and the study of it, more than happy to spend her time in her home’s library or at the local magical college learning conjuring spells from the professors she’d paid for private lessons. When she learned her family was planning to betroth her to an elf nobleman, she ran away to Baldur’s Gate, where she intended to live a quiet life and continue studying magic before she was kidnapped and infected with the parasite. Ellora is a very quiet and bookish person, but that doesn’t mean she’s timid; she has a sharp tongue and isn’t afraid to stand up for herself or others and say what she thinks. She struggles to connect to her companions at first, with the exception of Wyll since they were both raised among nobility, but she eventually makes genuine friends out of all of them, which means a lot to her because she’s never really had friends before. (She’s also a hopeless lesbian who falls in love at first sight with Karlach and thus is very sad when she can’t touch her, because she very much wants this large muscled lady to be able to pick her up.)
Anyways, yeah, those are my BG3 babies!! Thanks so much for asking about them, and if you have any more questions about any of them feel free to ask!!
Again tagging some of my other BG3 moots: @hiddenqveendom, @endless-oc-creations, @astarionbae.

Since the post about differences in translation in regards to Kaito and Kokichi's relationship was unfortunately deleted, I've taken it upon myself to make my own for posterity's sake.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NISA: Geez… you're such a naive dude.
OG: 。。。ったく、テメーはピユアなやろうだな。/ …Geez, you're such a pure guy.
A pretty well-known change that makes Kaito sound more insulting then he does in the original. Kokichi's response was also altered not only in the text, but in the voice acting; in Japanese, he sounds uncharacteristically emotionless, rather than annoyed like in the dub.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NISA: Well, we come from different backgrounds. So for now, let's agree to disagree. No one's ever called me naive before. And from Kaito? Seriously?
OG: まあ、百田ちゃんとオレの話が合わないのわ最初あきらめているけど。。。 / Well, I'd already given up on seeing eye to eye with Momota-chan since the beginning… ピュアなんて言われてのわ初めてだよ。オレみたいに嘘つきがさ。/ But that's the first time someone's called a liar like me pure.
Kaito goes from telling Maki to let Kokichi go or he'll die, to telling Maki to let Kokichi go so she won't get executed:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NISA: Maki Roll, cut it out! You'll get killed if you don't!
OG: ハルマキ、もうやめろ!それ以上やったらマジで死ぬぞ!/ Harumaki, stop already! Any more than that and he'll seriously die!
Kaito's response to Maki saying he shouldn't have cooperated with Kokichi is translated to sound like he was pestered into it. In the original, it sounds like he's seriously reflecting on Kokichi's state of mind throughout the game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NISA: It was kinda hard to ignore such an annoying guy. Geez… I wonder how far ahead he planned this evil scheme of his.
OG: 。。。あいつわそんあ易しいヤツじゃねーよ。/ …He wasn't that simple. まったく。。。どこからどこまでが計算だったんだろうな。あいつの悪巧みわよ。/ Man… I wonder how much of it he'd planned out. For that cunning scheme of his.
And of course, Kaito's final words on Kokichi were made to sound a lot harsher.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
NISA: He was a lying sack of shit.
OG: 。。。あいつは筋金入りの嘘つきだったぜ。/ …He was a liar to the core.

Underrated Parallel
Tumblr media
These two duos are actually so similar, it’s surprising that the fandom hardly acknowledges it.
First off, both of these duos are shown to both spend time investigating together in private. (Gonta and Ouma mainly doing so in chp2) While also sharing the dynamic of one being hyper intelligent, mysterious, as well as having a lack of trust in their classmates, and the other being more naive yet enthusiastic. There’s also of course the fact that they both share the same color scheme. (Toko and Komaru also share similar qualities as well but that’s for a different post.)
Naegi and Gonta also have alter egos included in their executions. And were both unconcious during the events leading to their investigations/trials.
Also, if you let Kirigiri be found guilty, both her and Ouma die from being squished by a press...(on chp5)
Then lastly, they’re similar in that Kirigiri and Ouma used Naegi and Gonta to survive so that they could defeat the mastermind.
As a side note, I’m surprised that there aren’t many people who acknowledge how similar what Ouma did to Gonta in chp4 is to what Kirigiri did to Naegi in chp5. It’s especially weird how people will claim that gontouma is toxic because of chp4 but then see nothing problematic about naegiri. Like, I get that Ouma comes across really rude and aggressive on chp4 but that was on purpose to make everyone vilify him.
He never treats Gonta the way he did on chp4 on any other part of the game. He’s almost too nice to Gonta in some instances (specifically on the jpn version since the NISA translators ruined Ouma’s character). Also, Ouma’s motivations for what he did were much more selfless than Kirigiri’s. You can’t even really say he did this because he saw his life as more important than Gonta’s as he immediately locks himself in his room and plans his own death afterwards.
Tumblr media
(Which correlates with how the writers decided to make Gonta/Ouma be the only ones to like the Survival Flag and the Death Flag. As it imo implies that Ouma gave up on survival once he knew that Gonta no longer could because of him)
I also find it strange how there are still people who actually think that Ouma didn’t care about Gonta. That was legitimately one of his most obvious lies in the entire game. His end talk with Kaito wouldn’t make any sense otherwise, nor his interactions with Gonta on TDP and DRS. I really do think that people need to play V3 more than once to to get a proper understanding of their actual dynamic though.
(And not through letsplays since they will give you their own biases.)

nails - park seonghwa
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
word count : 800

Tumblr media
“s-seonghwa! fuck, fuck fuck !” you cried, cries falling past your lips and falling onto ears that were between your legs currently. seonghwa’s tongue flicked up and down, rubbing against your puffy clit. “shut up.” he snarled, pulling you down further by the legs. his arms wrapped around your thighs as he tried to get closer than he already was. you had already came three times, and your seonghwa refused to let you go any time soon. there were scratch marks all over his back, some bleeding and some on the verge of it.
he didn’t care, though. the pain didn’t affect him  one bit as two fingers dived inside your cunt and flicked upwards towards your belly button. you screamed louder, writhing and crying in pleasure.
with his age and experience, you weren’t surprised that he knew how to turn you into a stupid blubbering mess for him. you guys hadn’t been at this for more than an hour and you were already being sent onto your fourth orgasm.
sharp, baby-pink nails traveled between seonghwa’s dark wavy locks, pushing and pulling at them as you struggled to take his torture any longer. a new sensation filled up below your belly button. it was warm and foreign and a part of you wanted to push seonghwa away, but you couldn’t. you lost all the feeling in your mouth and fingers, unable to speak or move.
but the dark head of hair was hard at work, pushing his two fingers in and out of your cunt, looking up at you with a wet chin and a faraway look in his eyes.
this is what he liked to see. you spread open for him like a present, your body limp and at mercy to his ministrations. your eyes went cross-eyed and your mouth fell open shamelessly like you were thirsty to drink him in.
he obliged, moving up to kiss you. his soft, swollen lips slotted against yours like a perfect puzzle. your taste slipped onto your tastebuds from his heavenly tongue and the picture looked perfect.
just as you were kissing, the dam in your abdomen tore apart, letting the chaos break as seonghwa’s hand became soaked with your fluids. he gasped in shock but refused to stop, fucking you mercilessly with his fingers. he had no thoughts, just a mission.
“fuck, you’re my slut.” he growled as he dove straight for your breast, sucking and biting your nipple into his mouth, staring up at you with a feral and fiery look.
he didn’t stop until your orgasm had passed over you, moving like a harsh flood and leaving you thirsting for him like a year-long drought. your thirst was answered with his fingers in your mouth, allowing you to freely taste your own juices. he was appalling and you were just as much as the villain for sucking his fingers dry and looking him right in the eye while doing so.
“fuck,” he groaned, “you look so beautiful doing that, angel.” he crooned. you whined around his fingers, wiggling your hips in anticipation.
just as seonghwa moved away from in between your legs, you looked up at your hand, only to see your worst nightmare.
a missing nail.
“seonghwa!” you screamed. his eyes widened in panic, wondering what on earth happened to you.
“what is it?? what happened??” he asked. you held up in your hand in front of his face. he squinted before laughing, grabbing your hands in his.
“we can just take you to get it fixed, angel. no worries.”
-
and there you stood, in front of your nail tech's place. you were getting one nail fixed and seonghwa offered to come with and sit, he was paying anyway.
“just this one nail, right?” your nail tech asked as she grabbed your hand. you nodded, sighing as you remembered how you lost the nail. from the corner of your eye, you could see seonghwa scrolling away on his phone, looking like he hadn’t fucked your brains out before this.
a few minutes passed as nisa worked the acrylic over the fake nail. your head was hot and so was nisa’s. you and she usually rambled on and on about stuff but now that seonghwa was here, a part of you couldn’t find the strength to speak up about anything.
you paid close attention to what nisa was doing, bored out of your mind.
“nisa, can you please file down her nails a bit? my back is in all kinds of pain because of her.”

I got some questions for your Tav’s based on the ask game! These ones are for your Tav Nisa! The questions are 7, 9, 14, 21, 24, 32, 40, 48, 62, 67 and the bonus 70, my bonus questions is what are some headcanons for Halsin and Nisa once they finally start a relationship together?
Ahhhhh, thank you so much for asking about my beautiful amazing paladin!! Answers are under the cut! (And I’m also gonna tag the BG3 moots @astarionbae and @reyofluke-ocs. <3)
What was the most significant moment in your Tav’s origin story?
I definitely think the most significant moment in Nisa’s past is leaving home shortly after they make her Oath to Ilmater, setting out to help people. It’s what leads to them becoming a folk hero and gaining her reputation as the Horned Warrior, and it’s also very important to the familial struggles part of their origin story, as she left home before they could ever actually talk to her adoptive parents about how they never actually seemed to love them or trust her, and they don’t actually visit her parents or reconcile with them until after the story.
What is your Tav’s biggest priority or goal?
Even throughout the party’s whole journey while they’re all trying to defeat the Elder Brain and remove their Mindflayer parasites, Nisa’s biggest priority remains helping the people who cannot help themselves and taking down evil whenever they come across it. She even sees the whole quest the party goes on, and all the smaller adventures they undertake along the way, as just stepping stones on the path to getting the parasite cleansed so that they can get back to properly adventuring and helping people again. (Although after the party’s whole quest, she does develop some new priorities, however: protecting their newfound friends and beloved and making sure they’re happy.)
Does your Tav know any other languages besides Common?
She isn’t fluent in any language besides Common (having not grown up among devils, they don’t know any Infernal), but during her travels has picked up bits of Elvish and Dwarven, and after they officially get together, Halsin begins teaching them Druidic.
If you’re romancing anyone, who fell first and who fell harder?
Halsin definitely fell first - he becomes interested in Nisa fairly quickly after meeting her, though it isn’t exactly love at first sight - but Nisa fell harder without question. Halsin takes a little bit of time to get to the point where he knows he would do anything for his beloved, but Nisa has never been one to care by halves, and almost as soon as they realizes she has real, true feelings for Halsin beyond just a crush, they go right to being willing to do almost anything he would want from her.
What is your Tav attracted to? What are their turn-ons and turn-offs?
Nisa doesn’t exactly have a type, as it were - being demiromantic, they haven’t exactly had crushes on a lot of people - but she knows that they are definitely attracted to competent and confident people, as well as people who are in touch with their emotions and aren’t afraid of showing how they feel. Some turn-offs for her definitely include rudeness, arrogance, and refusal to listen to any opinions different from one’s own.
How did your Tav get their scars, if they have any?
Most of Nisa’s scars, of which they have many small ones all over their body and a few longer and deeper ones in different spots, are from her adventures as the Horned Warrior and all the fights against people doing wicked deeds they’ve gotten into. However, she also has a few smaller ones flecking their knees from a bad fall she took as a child after climbing the roof of a neighbor’s house and falling off.
What is the biggest mistake your Tav ever made?
Nisa will always consider their biggest mistake to be running away from their adoptive parents rather than just talking to them about how she felt about the lack of affection they received as a child. She’s always kind of hated themself for taking the coward’s way out and still never being brave enough to go back to the village in which she was raised and finally have that discussion (at least not until after the party’s quest, when they go back to visit with Halsin), and it’s an amazing weight off of her shoulders when they finally get the chance to fix it.
Where does your Tav feel most at home?
As cliché as it is, Nisa feels most at home in Halsin’s arms, resting her head on his chest and being able to hear the thrum of his heartbeat. There’s just something so calming to Nisa about being in their lover’s presence, being able to know that he’s there and alive and that he loves her as much as they love him.
What meme describes your Tav the best?
That one Tumblr text post that’s like I’m here to defeat you with the power of friendship and also this gun I found, but instead of a gun it’s just whatever big stick Nisa sees on the ground and decides to use to beat the snot out of who- or whatever the party is currently fighting.
How good is your Tav at giving advice? How good are they at following it themselves?
For as much as Nisa says her people skills are a bit stunted from spending so long alone on the road, they’re actually really good at giving advice (about more personal struggles, at least, not really relating to romance, because demiromantic). And miraculously, she’s actually one of those people who is able to practice what they preach… at least if the advice isn’t about parental issues, because she’s definitely a hypocrite about that.
Some headcanons for Nisa and Halsin’s relationship:
Halsin often calls Nisa nature’s gift to him, while Nisa loves to call Halsin their true love.
The base of Nisa’s horns are incredibly sensitive, so when she’s stressed Halsin will often rub them to calm them down, and she practically turns into a melted puddle of happy noises when he does.
Nisa has a surprisingly good singing voice, deep and rich, and Halsin adores listening to them sing to pass the time on the road or joining in on a rousing group song when they’re in a tavern.
Nisa has a small collection of stones that Halsin has given her since they got together. He always says the stones remind him of them when giving them to her, and even though Nisa can never see how, they treasure the stones all the same and wouldn’t give them up for anything.

Hi, do you have any tips on how to be comfortable being a Muslim while being queer?
I've been trying to do that for a very long time, focusing on my faith in Allah, but it's a bit hard and I always get demotivated randomly :(
Hey! Salam! Sorry for the kind of late response, moving houses has been hectic. This will be a long response (sorry), so I will put it under the cut.
I want to preface this by saying every queer person is different. I don't know the specifics of your identity so I am going to cover both sexual queerness and gender queerness.
My biggest obstacle in nurturing my relationship with Allah was believing that the way I am was haram, and even that I was cursed by Allah. I no longer believe this, but it was a long road.
Sexuality
I don't believe that homosexuality is haram. The common claim that the story of Lut is about homosexuality is full of holes and inconsistencies and it's largely based on the Christian religious tradition, even if the grammar of the Qur'an doesn't align with the Christian tradition (eg. the Qur'an uses the word "banaat" for Prophet Lut's (as) daughters. Bannat is plural, meaning 3 or more daughters, and in the traditional telling Lut (as) has 2 daughters).
Here is a really good study by Nahida Nisa:
I recommend reading all of Nahida's things because she's an amazing writer.
And a video from Dr. Shehnaz Haqaani's (PhD, Islamic Studies) podcast "What The Patriarchy":
youtube
and you can find her blog here
These articles from the blog, Lamp of Islam are also pretty good. He is a hardcore Qur'anist with some strange opinions, so peruse his blog with caution.
Letting go of the belief that the way I am was haram and that Allah had cursed me was the most critical part of fixing my iman and overall nurturing my relationship with Allah.
Also, it doesn't make any sense that The All-Merciful, Allah would make someone with an innate attraction to the same gender and then forbid them from "acting on it".
The Prophet (salla Allahu alayhi wa salam) never punished anyone for homosexuality, after his death, his companions debated whether or not to punish homosexuals and they could not come to a conclusion.
Gender
The Qur'an seems to acknowledge the differences between sex and gender. For example, the word for 'man' in the Qur'an is rijal and the word for 'male' is dhukran. And the word for 'woman' is nisa, but the word for 'female' is untsa. You can read Lamp of Islam's article on the meanings of these words here.
There also may be a vague reference to intersex and/or gender non-conforming people in verse 42:50.
There are also some hadith that seem to imply that gender non-conforming people were accepted around Prophet Muhammad (salla Allahu alayhi wa salam). Prophet Muhammad's (Salla Allahu alayhi wa salam) wife Umm Salama (Radi Allahu anha) had a seemingly close friend who was then called a 'mukhanath', named Hit, who was described as a 'male who exhibited effeminate traits' was was welcome into the private women's section of the Prophet's (Salla Allahu alayhi wa salam) home. Today this person might have been a gay man (who displayed effeminate traits by accepting the "woman's role" (🙄) in relationships), or, more likely IMO, this person would be considered a trans woman today.
Hit was punished by the Prophet (salla Allahu alayhi wa salam), but not for their sexuality/gender expression, they were punished for describing a woman's body to a man, which was possible because they were allowed into both men's and women's spaces. The punishment of Hit is often used as 'evidence' to support homophobia and transphobia, but they neglect to mention the specific reason that Hit was punished.
You can read more about queerness in Islamic history here.
The link above takes you to Muslims For Progressive Values, they also offer marriage services for queer Muslims and interfaith couples, specifically for Muslim women seeking to marry non-Muslim men.
Here is a link to MPV's video series, but massive trigger warning for the comment section.
And a second MPV video series.
And another article from MPV.
More Tips
As I said, learning about LGBTQ Islamic History helped me a lot.
Keep your relationship with Allah between you and Him. Only share it with people who you 100% trust, because religion is extremely personal.
Find your people. Whether online or in-person, a community of people like you is important.
Know that Allah knows you, your identity, and the way you feel. Ultimately, Allah is your creator and we will only return to him. And we, as queer people KNOW that this is the way we were created. Nobody can tell you that who you are is false because they have no way to know that.
Block. Block. Block. Block. Block anyone who is being a problem, who might become a problem in the future. Block them all. Block Islamophobic queers, block queerphobic Muslims. Protect your peace and your relationship with Allah at all costs.
Here are people that I block quickly: anyone who has outwardly queerphobic or Islamophobic things posted on their page. Salafis and Wahabis. The black flag freaks: those with black flags in their user names/bios. I block people for the comments they leave all the time. Generally, I don't wait for them to do something, I block them on sight.
You mentioned that you struggle with low imaan sometimes. It's important to know that fluctuations of imaan are normal and completely natural. But I'm assuming since you've sent this ask, you always come back, which is what's important.
Here is another video from Dr. Shehnaz Haqaani's (PhD Islamic Studies) Podcast for Muslims who struggle to practice.
And a TikTok from @/soundous.boualam:
My biggest tip for building faith is to start slow.
Pray one prayer a day at first, and wait until that prayer is deeply ingrained into your habits, then add another. I recommend starting with Isha before bed. Don't try to do everything at once. You'll burn yourself out.
Build up the fard actions. Your prayers, primarily.
If you can take on more, add in the dhikr after prayer (subhanallah 33x, alhamdullilah 33x, and allahu akbar 34x). Or add dhikr in throughout your day. I use an app called Azkar that I set to send notifications to remind me to do various worship activities.
When I braid my hair I say alhamdullilah every time I cross a piece over another.
If you can, it might also help to put a poster or picture on your wall with your favorite Qur'an verse, hadith, or Islamic quote on your wall, or make your screensaver a reminder to remember Allah.
You can also buy or make a beaded tasbih bracelet, sometimes having something on your wrist can make it easier to remember.
I also like to spend 20-30 minutes every morning after Fajr to just spend time with Allah, talk to Him, and read the Qur'an.
But also remember that you don't only get rewarded for outright acts of worship. You get rewarded for caring for your body, taking a nap when you're tired, eating food, drinking water, caring for pets, and spending time with family. All of that stuff is worship.
Be easy with yourself. Allah does not want hardship for you (2:185).
And I'll leave you with a Qur'an verse.
It was We Who created man, and We know what his soul whispers to him, and We are closer to him that [his] jugular vein. (50:16)
I hope this helps you some. I love you. Allah loves you. May Allah bless you with peace, imaan, and His abundant guidance and mercy, Allahumma Ameen.
You can ask questions in the comments or in asks if you want.

Seeing rounds of people respond to NISA saying Trails through Daybreak is a great place to jump into the franchise with "NOOO! IT'S BY NO MEANS A GREAT PLACE TO START!!! WHAT ARE YOU SAAAYING!?!?! IT'S THE 11TH GAME IN A SERIES WITH A CONTINUOUS STORY!!!"
Listen: I understood when it was laughing at how Trails of Cold Steel III was advertised by NISA as "a great place to start", but everyone needs fuckin' relax here. If someone who has never played a Trails game sees Trails through Daybreak and thinks "wow, that's cool!", they are statistically unlikely to go "but before I check out this brand new thing I've never seen before, I will play 10 other RPGs first to make sure I have complete context, including a game that is literally older now than the first Dragon Quest was at the time of its original release". And if people keep saying "NO NO THESE GAMES CAN'T BE PLAYED WITHOUT THE FULL CONTEXT TO APPRECIATE EVER MINUTE DETAIL YOU NEED THOSE 10 OTHER RPGS!!!" they're much more likely to go "oh, nevermind then".
Like, as someone who played Cold Steel I and II before circling back to Sky and proceeding straight through from there, there were moments where I surely missed the impact of some characters showing up, or was a little confused about the why or how other things were happening. Not knowing that the weapon that deleted Garrelia Fortress was one of three giant robots didn't make that game unintelligable; if anything, it made the sudden appearance of the Panzer Soldats at the very end even more surprising. Yeah, I had no idea in what context Lloyd and Rixia showed up at the end of Cold Steel II, but the game just tells you "hey here's who these characters are" and I went "well, ok".
Tumblr media
It is so much easier to entice people to get into a thing if they try the new hotness, and then go "woah, there's even more stuff in this series I can check out!?"
Or maybe they don't and just go forward from there, and that's fine too. Just don't actively tell people they gotta do like 800 hours of what will feel like homework to them before doing the thing they actually want to do.
