I'm alternating, so you all have to put up with my sex shop AU this week. I think I'm doing this wrong, though, because so far my number of steamy sex scenes is .25 and my number of trauma flashbacks is 4.
Tumblr media
This WIP fragment is one of the latter, not the former. The hardest initial part of making this AU work is coming up with a reason for our boy scout hero, John Crichton, to be visiting a pro-domme in the first place, let alone frequently enough to get that "regular at a coffee shop" vibe. I complicated my challenge by making him sort of in a relationship with Gilina too, so it can't be prurient curiosity.
I've started my plot with John going about life--attending a bachelor party, trying to spice things up with his girlfriend--while dealing with the aftermath of a fatal car accident. It wasn't his fault, but the other man died (yes, this is Crais's brother). And the scenes I've had the easiest time writing have been when John has been triggered by something and is having a panic attack.
I've never had this kind of trauma response, though. Closest thing to it was when I was trying to learn to drive, and panicked behind the wheel. That was thirty years ago, and my fear of driving wasn't really caused by an actual event, so I didn't have anything to flashback to.
Well this is how I'm thinking of starting the third chapter. If you are reading this and are familiar with PTSD, I'd be curious if I'm getting this right, and if not, what I should change. (There's nothing graphic below, just some fear and a little 20th century machismo.)
“I don’t know what to do, DK.” John was fighting to breathe evenly, trying not to sound the way he felt--completely panicked. He wasn’t even sure where he was exactly. Some side street in Sydney that he’d pulled onto, trying not to vomit, where he’d managed to find a stretch of empty curb to park in. He had no idea if he’d woken his friend up, a world away in Florida, and at the moment he didn’t care.
“You’re going to be ok, John, just take a deep breath and calm down.” Deke didn’t sound mad, just confused. “Tell me what happened. You said you were driving and freaked out? Is this your first time back in a car since the accident?”
The accident. A city street, lit with neon and billboards above and reflections from the rain-slick pavement below. Headlights on the wrong side of the road, coming at him so fast. Or was he on the wrong side? Car horns blaring, all around. The lights blinding him, diving in the same direction as he tried to dodge. The impact was just a shudder, only clipping his fender, but it  ripped him around as the other car spun in matched orbit. John saw it skid across the lanes with a clarity that felt like slow motion, only broken when it hit a streetlight at far too many miles an hour, peeling open and flinging its driver through the shattered windshield.
John closed his eyes, but it didn’t help, so he opened them again. It wasn’t raining. There were no flashing police lights or blaring sirens. No one screaming. There was nothing wrong. “Yes. My first time, as the driver at least. Just picked up my rental back from the repair shop a couple hours ago. I was supposed to meet Gil near downtown.” No one local was supposed to know about Gilina, but he hadn’t been able to keep a secret from his best friend. “I was doing fine, nervous, I guess, but it was doable. Until the car in front of me got cut off, and laid on their horn. I just completely lost it. Hands started shaking, I hit the brakes so hard the guy behind me almost rear ended me, and then he started honking too. I totally froze up.” It had been worse than that, he’d thought for a moment he was going to gray out, his vision blurring like it did in heavy G’s. DK didn’t need to know that.
“But you’re safe now?”
The worry in DK’s voice actually made John feel calmer. “Yeah, yeah, I’m good. Pulled over and parked, and then I called you.” It sounded simple, but he had barely managed it. But why? After he was hit head-on when he was nineteen, getting back behind the wheel hadn’t been hard at all. A little more wary on blind curves for a while, but that was it. And that time his car had been totalled, and he’d almost died! John didn’t know why this accident was affecting him so much more. Well, other than that the other man had died this time.
“How can I help, John?” his friend asked. “What do you need?”
John’s hands hurt. He was gripping the steering wheel too hard. Finger by finger he made himself relax. It hadn’t been his fault. He wasn’t in trouble. He was just jumpy around cars. It happened to people all the time. PTSD. “I think I need to see someone. A therapist. Maybe get some actual chill pills.” He tried to laugh, but it came out more like a cough. His chest hurt too.
“You can’t do that man, you’ll get scrubbed!”
John wished he could believe the panic in DK’s voice was only concern for him. That his friend wasn’t thinking about the probable damage to his own career, if needing to replace John as the pilot led to a cancellation or delay of the Farscape Project.
“I was just joking about the pills, Deke. And look, so what if I’m a little shaky driving right now. There’s nothing for me to hit in the upper ionosphere. I’m not going to be piloting a car up there. I just need to talk it out with someone, get some CBT. Breathing exercises or something, so I don’t freeze up when I hear horns.”
“You can’t go to IASA doctors about this, John. And if Canaveral finds out you’ve gone to someone else because you’re having panic attacks, that’s going to be even worse.”
“I’m not-- I mean, of course I’m having a little trouble, DK. A guy died in front of me! But that’s why IASA has therapists on staff.” Now that his heart rate was starting to slow down, John could see how bad it had been. He needed to deal with this. “Mission command wouldn’t need details, just that I talked to someone after the accident to process my feelings.” He tried to smile as he used the cliche, but he didn’t know if it came across over the phone. “Since this is completely unrelated to being a pilot, it shouldn’t matter to the project at all.”
“Shouldn’t, but you know it will, John. You know it will. There’s no such thing as doctor-client privilege when the mission commander is the one getting head shrunk.” John heard his friend sigh. “I hate to say it, buddy, but you gotta get this under control on your own. If anyone-- anyone-- hears that you almost crashed your car because someone honked at you…”
“Fine,” John cut him off. It was depressing, but DK was just being honest. Sure, IASA made everyone do therapy, but almost no one took it seriously. Aeronautics was still too macho for that. “You’re right. It’s stupid to risk it.” He realized he was hunching over the wheel, still and made himself sit back, pulling the keys out of the ignition. “I’ll figure this out, DK. It’s just going to take some time. I’ll stay out of traffic for a while. Try not to drive at night. I’m sure it will get better, it hasn't even been a month.”
“I know you will, John. It’s just nerves. You just need to take it slow. Do you want me to come down?” There was a hesitation in his friend’s tone. Getting to Australia would be expensive, especially short notice, if DK could even leave the lab right now. And it would be almost impossible to get IASA to sign off on a trip without a justification they would have to lie about.
John did his best to put on the big brother voice he always used to calm Deke down, even though his friend was the older of the two of them by a year and a half. “No. No man, I’m good. Thank you, but no. You have too much to do there. Don’t worry about it. I’ll get over this.” He closed his eyes and focused on sounding like mission commander, not a fucking crybaby. “Now since I have you on the phone anyway, tell me what the materials guys are saying about the heat shielding…”

My Mother is a Fat Fucking Drunk - Origins - Chapter 1
And because we live in America's Finest City, she moved into my living room. She's been sleeping on the couch. AND SHES KILLING ME.
Origins - Chapter 1
This living arrangement has been going on for about a year, I think? It certainly feels much much longer tho. It was going okay for a while, but shit got real at the beginning of this year (2024) when it finally started to sink in that everything she'd been telling us (my Auntie/her sister, and I) since moving in and onto our couch, all these ideas and goals, and intentions of self-help and general life-re-tooling to get herself back on track--- they were all lies. Manipulations. Fabrications that I don't think she ever even believed in. She told us what we needed to hear to lower our guard and welcome her in with open arms.
My Auntie and I get along famously. We've been living together in her 740 sq.ft. home in a decent-sized area of San Diego called Clairemont. It doesn't have the proudest pedigree, but its certainly come a long way since its general inception in the 50's. The part of Clairemont we call home was actually a planned community of naval housing. Block after block of the same house, offered in 5 variations with all the essentials for military families, but no over-the-top bells and/or whistles.
The house we live in had actually belonged to her late husband, Mike, who owned and operated one of only three auto shops that specialized in maintenance and repair of Alfa Romeos. He'd always been a big fan of the zippy little Italian sports cars and started racing them when Alfa/FIAT made a big push for the American market in the mid-to-late-70's. Mike was one of the most unique characters I've ever met. For the sake of brevity in this "Intro," we'll discuss Uncle Mike in a sidebar sometime later. His character stats in the CCG of my life would feature some very unique abilities, but in bold caps at the top of the list would be LOYALTY rank 11, out of a 1-10 scale.
Which held a tinge of irony, as I found myself moving into the empty 3rd bedroom of a condo Auntie shared with the man she'd left Uncle Mike for. I had just been forcibly "rescued" from my life up in LA by my half confused, half frustrated, all disappointed father just 6 months prior, and we all thought it wasn't a totally terrible idea that I rent a room from Auntie. Dad's Loyalty stat is unfortunately significantly lower than 11 (as I've borne witness to him cutting off, or bailing on, family members just because they'd become 'inconvenient'), but he does have a proper rating in Honor, aka, staying true to his word, aka, sticking by promises he's made.
In January of 2003, as he was trying to explain to me over the phone, between my panicked, dramatic wails of betrayal and condemnation, what was expected of me and how the next few steps would play out; how he would be at my new apartment's front door with a 17ft u-haul on January 31st, and how I was expected to be all packed up in moving boxes ready to go before his arrival, about how the apartment was to be cleaned and repaired from top to bottom because he was expecting a 100% refund of the rental's deposit, and how we would then drive back down to San Diego, lock whatever I had in storage, and how on February 1st, he'd be picking me up from the hotel room he'd gotten me in San Diego's Historic Old Town (mere blocks away from his house), and we'd be enrolling me in whatever form of therapy or counseling or rehab or clever combination thereof that I needed to hit the restart button on my life to begin things anew.
Well, somewhere between his emotionless, monotone exposition of why this and who that, and during any rare breaks in my sobs and threats and accusations and unintelligible pleadings and promises of sorting my life out, if he'd just let me stay-- somewhere in all that, he made a promise that as long as I was either in therapy or working at a job in whatever capacity I could, that he would cover my rent. And he did, because I did, and he continued paying my rent all the way up to my 42nd birthday.
HARD STOP due to length.
To be continued…

The Crown Princess of Charming - Part 1
Welcome to Charming - its name says it all. Cat needed a fresh start; and though she hadn’t planned on that being in the arms of the crown prince of this little town’s bikerclub - that was what happened. This Charming CA would either be the death of her - or a whole new life.
This story is obviously non-canon. It will include characters from multiple seasons; some of them having never met on the show. In this universe, Tara didn’t come back from Chicago. I’ve done this to get the story I wanted.
I’ve also decided to give the protagonist a name in this story. I hope you’ll enjoy reading it.
Tumblr media
1
“Move, you goddamn piece of shit!”. My car had stalled just a few yards before a sign that read Welcome to Charming – our name says it all. So far it hadn’t been very charming at all. Multiple cars were passing me and blaring their horns. “Do you think I just decided to park here?”, I yelled at a white Honda, with a blonde behind the wheel. She gave me the finger in response. “Shit!”.
I heard a roar of engines behind me; and a leather clad man on a motorbike pulled up next to my window. “You found a hell of a place to break down, luv’”, he said, with a Scottish drawl. “Yeah, thanks. I hadn’t noticed”, I sneered. “Pardon me, I was just stating facts”, he smirked. I frowned. “Sorry. I’ve just had a long ass drive”, I mumbled. “Mind if we take a look at it?”, he asked. I gestured for him to go ahead; and stepped out of the tired, beat up car; that had been my home for the last 4 days – driving from Chicago, to my new home in the town I’d chosen by its name alone. Charming.
I needed something charming at this point in my life – the last few years having been chaos – so I’d thrown everything to the wind; and had basically run away from the city, when I’d applied for, and been offered a job at Charming Middle School.
Behind my car, two more mc’s were parked – one of them a tall bearded man who sent me a friendly smile; and the other a blonde, lean guy, wearing a white t-shirt and white sneakers. Interesting choice for riding a motorcycle, I thought. All three men had the same patch on their backs – a skull-headed reaper. The writing said Sons of Anarchy – California.
The scot had opened my hood, and was looking into the steaming entrails of my car. He let out a long whistle. “When was the last time you checked our oil, luv’?”. I decided to ignore his choice of nickname for me. “I have no idea. I just bought it a week ago; haven’t really done anything but drive it”. He smiled and shook his head. “Jackie!”, he called. The blonde man looked up; and took of his sunglasses – revealing a pair of piercing baby blues. “We’re gonna need the tow-truck”.
The blonde got off his bike, and joined the scot at the front of the car. “Shit”. He drew out the word, ending it with a full-on laugh. “Darlin’, you’ve killed it”. I sighed. “Great…”. “Were you going far?”, he asked. “Charming was my destination; but I didn’t even make it past the sign”. I ran my hand through my hair. “Shit!”.
Blonde guy called out to the bearded biker. “Ope! Call TM. Get Rat out here with the tow”. “We can’t leave her here, on the side of the road”, the third man answered. Blondie chewed his lip. “You up for a ride?”, he asked me. I was caught off guard. “What?”, I asked. “We’ll get your car back to our shop. You can wait there for it; and figure out your next step”. I shrugged. “Yeah, why the hell not”.
Blondie walked up to me and stuck out his hand. “I’m Jackson. Scottie here is Chibs; and the kind man calling a tow-truck for you, is Opie”. I took his hand and shook it. His grab on mine was firm, but gentle. “I’m Cat”, I said cautiously. He smiled brightly at me; a glint to his eyes that made me blush slightly. “Welcome to Charming”, he said. “Now, come on”.
He handed me his own helmet; and got on his bike; patting the seat behind him. I grabbed my purse from the front seat; leaving my keys on the left front wheel. Welcome to Charming, indeed, I thought, and got on Jacksons bike with him, looking for something to grab on to “You’re gonna have to hold on to me, Cat”, Jackson smirked. I put my hands on his waist – noticing his firm and muscular frame – and he started up the bike. The force of the engine between my legs made me jump a little; and I heard Jackson chuckle in front of me. “Don’t worry, I got you”. He revved the engine, and we rode in to town.
We drove into a big lot about 10 minutes later. I noticed a large amount of motorcycles; and more bikers clad in leather. They all wore the same patch as the three men I’d just met – though some said Nevada. There were two large buildings; one was an auto shop – Teller Morrow – and the other seemed to be some sort of a clubhouse.
Jackson halted his bike at the end of the line of motorcycles; seemingly a spot reserved for him. I climbed off, almost stumbling; and he grabbed my hand to steady me. “You good?”, he asked. I nodded.
A tall middle-aged woman, with an amazing rack, came out of the office of the auto shop. “Jax; Clays been looking for you”, she said. Jackson smirked, and backed his bike into his spot. “What else is new?”, he said. The woman kissed his cheek. “I’m picking up the kid in a few. You need anything at home?”. “Milk. And coffee”, Jackson answered. He looked towards me. “Ma; this is Cat. Her car stalled just by the edge of town”. The woman looked at me; her eyes enquiring, but mostly friendly. “The one Rat and Juice went out for?”. Jackson nodded.
She shook my hand. “Gemma Teller”, she said. “Cat Rose”, I smiled. “You’re the new teacher down at the middle-school”, she said – more a statement than a question. I nodded. “Yeah, I am. How’d you know?”. “Gem knows everything”, the biker named Chibs said; and kissed Gemma’s cheek. “Hi, mom”.
I chuckled. “You seem a little too young to be his mom”. “Around here, I’m everyone’s mom”, she answered. “Though my only biological kid, is the cheeky blonde you rode bitch with”. I took that as meaning Jax was her son. The cheeky blonde sent me a smile. “Gemma will take care of you from here on”, he said. “See you around, teach’”. I smiled in return; and Jackson walked towards the clubhouse.
I followed Gemma into her office. “What’s the Sons of Anarchy?”, I asked. “Sweetheart, stick around long enough, you’ll find out”, she said. “Coffee?”. “Yeah, thanks”, I smiled.
I didn’t see any of my new biker friends the rest of the day; as my car arrived not long after we did. A mohawked Latino named Juice, of all things; informed me that my cooler was shot; and I needed a completely new starter. None of this made any sense to me; as I didn’t know anything about engines – but looking at the costs of repairs needed to have the vehicle function again; I decided to sell it for scrap.
“Too bad, honey”, Gemma said. “I had one of those as a teenager”. “You wanna buy it?”, I grinned. “I wouldn’t be caught dead in it”, she answered, and lit a cigarette; offering me one. I accepted. “Juice; is Tig still selling his old chevy?”. “Yeah, he hasn’t gotten a buyer yet. I think it’s ‘cuz it smells like wet dog”. I shook my head. “I won’t be able to afford it; with or without the smell”. Gemma winked at me. “I’ll get a you a good deal; and you can make payments”. I smiled. “I’m gonna like this town”. “We all do”, she smiled back.
Gemma gave me a ride to the motel I was going to stay at, until I found a new place. I got my four boxes and two suitcases out of her trunk and backseat; thanking her for all her help. “It’s me who should be thanking you. The school had been looking for a good arts teacher for over a year”. “I’m taking over 6’th and 7’th grade English as well”, I said. She laughed. “Mrs. Bloom finally decided to retire, huh?”, she said. “She taught both me and Jackson”. “Wow…”, I grimaced. “I’m not that old”, she said. “That’s not…”, I began. “Just pulling your leg sweetheart”, she smiled. “See you around”. She drove off, and left me to settle in to my new temporary home.
I spent the evening scanning the newspaper for cheap rentals. Money was scarce; but I knew the motel needed to be short term – especially after noticing the thin walls inability to hide the sounds of my neighbors having kinky sex. Some woman kept screaming Yes, Daddy!; making it difficult to concentrate on my apartment-hunting .
In the evening; after ordering a pizza; I decided to take a shower. I let the water run for a bit; before stepping in – trying to ignore the metallic smell of it. Washing 4 days of roadtripping off my body; I finally felt clean enough to face my new situation.
I’d left Chicago in a hurry; leaving my furniture, and only bringing my most cherished belongings. I wanted to get as far away from the city as possible; but a ticket to Hawaii was out of the question on my teachers’ salary – and I wasn’t ready to go back to dancing at clubs. Most of my last cash had been spent on the now dead Ford; that I’d sold for scrap through TM.
Chicago wasn’t my home town; but I’d thought it was the place for me. I’d been proven wrong, when a relationship had gone wrong. Very wrong. I’d needed to get away from the guy in question; as his possessive nature throughout our relationship had ended up scaring me. Trying to get a restraining order hadn’t worked due to his own contacts within the court-system. I wanted a new life. Maybe Charming could be the base for that.
Stepping out of the shower; I wrapped myself in a towel. There was a knock on the door, and I went to open it. Outside stood Jackson; a grin the size of the county on his handsome face. “You’re not pizza…”, I said. “Not the last time I checked”, he chuckled. “You left behind some paperwork at TM”. I looked down at my lack of clothing. “I should get dressed”, I smiled. “Come on in. Sorry about the mess”. He stepped inside. “It’s fine, darlin’. You should see my place”.
I grabbed a pair of pajama bottoms, and a tank top from an open suitcase; and went into the bathroom. “Do you usually order pizza in just a towel?”, he called after me. “Only if the delivery-guy is really cute”, I called back. Shit… now you’re flirting with the biker. Good one, Cat. “I’ll have to change professions”, I heard him mutter.
I stepped back into the room, fully dressed. “What’s the paperwork?”, I asked. He handed me an envelope. “Just a signoff for the scrapping of the car”, he said. “It’s too bad. My mom had one of those back in the day”. “She told me”, I smiled. “Coffee?” He smiled. “Nah, sorry, I gotta run again”. “Too bad”, I said. Dammit! Stop, you idiot.
He chuckled. “It’s good to have some fresh blood in town. I hear you’re starting at the school. You’ll be teaching one of Opie’s kids. Ellie – sweet kid”. I signed the papers he’d handed me, and gave them back. “I’ll remember to give her good grades”, I said. “Yeah…”, he answered sadly. “She’s been through it. Her and Kenny both. Their mom died a year back”. “I’m sorry to hear that”, I answered earnestly. “Donna was a good mom. And a good old lady”, he said. “What’s that?”, I asked. “An old lady? Shit, you are new in town”, he smirked. I shrugged. “Just not used to biker lingo”, I winked. “I’ll have to get you used to it, then…”, he said with a smile. I chewed my lip, a rush of heat going through my body.
He remembered himself. “The car – the one you’re buying”, he said. “Tig will be down at the shop tomorrow night. You can pick up the keys then”. I exhaled; trying to calm down my budding crush on the gorgeous man in front of me. “Thanks. I’ll be there. 7 pm good?”. “We should be done with church by then”, he said. “Tomorrow’s not Sunday”, I answered. He chuckled. “Not that kind of church”. I narrowed my eyes playfully. “Biker lingo…”, I said. “Biker lingo”, he smirked.
We stood there for a while, both unsure what to say; before Jax broke the silence. “Tomorrow; it’s Gemma’s birthday. There’s gonna be a party at the clubhouse”, he said cautiously. “If you wanna stick around for a while…”. “Maybe”, I smiled.
“Yes Daddy! Slap that ass!”, we heard from next door. We both laughed. “If I’m not mistaken; Tig might be right next door. But it’s probably not a good time to disturb him”, Jackson said. “I’ll wait”, I agreed. “See you tomorrow?”. “I’m looking forward to it”, Jackson winked; and walked out the door; giving me a final grin; before closing it behind him.
Cat. You can’t have sex with the biker, I told myself. But the warm sensation streaming though me, told me I’d probably have a problem sticking to that, if I had the opportunity.
The next day I slept in; enjoying the feeling of being in an actual bed for the first time in days. I did some light shopping for groceries – the fridge in my motel room not being very big. The people I met seemed friendly enough, though a bit standoffish. I figured it was because I was new in town.
Walking back towards the motel; a group of bikers rode by – one of them being Opie. He lifted a hand in a wave at me. I noticed that the bikes were ridden almost in a procession; with a leader in front; and everyone else keeping to their assigned position in the group. It was led by a grey-haired man with a prominent jaw. He looked at me, and nodded. I nodded back.
Back in my room, I had a light lunch; and decided to figure out what the hell one wore for a birthday party at a biker club. I figured some skinny jeans and an off the shoulder, black t-shirt would have to do. Putting on my favorite necklace – a silvery hand with an eye in the middle; a Hamsa symbol – I let my hair hang lose; and put on a little makeup. Black cat eye; and red lips. It usually did the trick. You’re actually dressing up for the biker now, I smirked at myself.
I was early; so, I tracked down a coffee shop to sit and read a book. My shoulder bag usually had at least one volume in it. This week, it was American Gods, by Neil Gaiman. I was completely concentrated on my book; when suddenly Chibs and a large curly haired man stepped in to the shop. “Well, look who we have here!”, Chibs smiled. “Bobby, this is the young lady who killed her car just outside town”. I grinned. “Thanks”, I said. “I needed a reminder of my bad mechanic skills”. “I aim to serve, madam”, the scot grinned. Bobby stuck out his hand. “Welcome to town, my lady”, he said; and kissed my hand chivalrously. “Careful Bob. VP’s got his eye on this one”, Chibs said. “What’s that supposed to mean?”, I asked. “Don’t worry about it”, Bobby grinned.
I took a sip of my coffee, and shook my head. “What are you doing here?”. “Coffee run for church. It was a long night”, Chibs winked. The man behind the counter handed over some coffees to Bobby; who pulled out his wallet. “Your money’s no good here”, the barista said. Bobby nodded. “How’s your mom?”, he asked. “Much better, thanks”, the man answered and smiled. “I’ll pay you back”. “We know you’re good for it, Gary”, Chibs said. He looked at me. “See you later?”. I nodded.
The bikers left the shop; and drove off towards TM. The barista walked up to me with my check. “Welcome to town”, he said warily. “Look… Samcro; they’re a part of this town; and they do a lot of good. But they’re in to some pretty bad stuff as well. Be careful”. He didn’t wait for an answer; but just went back behind his register. I frowned, and tried to wrap my head around his words. I paid Gary, and left the shop myself.
I decided to do some light sightseeing. It was Saturday; so most of the small shops closed early; but I made my way to the middle-school that would be my new place of work the coming Monday. The trek was a bit longer than I’d anticipated; so I was glad that I had a newish car set up for me. The building wasn’t large, but I figured it was large enough for the amount of kids in the area. The look of it gave me some peace of mind. It would be an easy start, I thought. And I was looking forward to it.
Walking back towards TM, I stopped by a florist who was closing up. I got a nice bouquet for Gemma, and walked into the auto-shop lot. The place was bustling with people. At least 20 bikes were parked in the lot; and everywhere people were shaking hands, and grabbing wrapped presents out of their cars. The men were all clad in leather; except for a man in a sheriff’s uniform; and the women were mostly wearing miniskirts and dresses – their boobs on display as much as possible.
I didn’t recognize any faces, and felt a bit anxious, before someone grabbed my shoulder. “Hey, darlin’”, Jax was beaming at me. He leant in and kissed my cheek; his stubble and short beard scratching my chin in a delicious way. “I’m glad you made it!”. “Yeah, me too”, I smiled. He took my hand, holding it confidently. “Come on. I’ll introduce you”.
We walked in to the clubhouse. It smelled like motor oil and whiskey, and the air was heavy with smoke. It should have put me off; but I was enjoying it. It reminded me of my former profession as a  dancer, and the kind of trouble I’d gotten in to then. Jackson let go of my hand, and put his own on my lower back, leading me to the bar counter. “You remember Opie”, he said; gesturing at the tall bearded man. With his helmet off, he was now wearing a hoodie, and had a beautiful blonde on his arm. Opie shook my hand and smiled at me friendlily. “This is Lyla”, he said softly, and gestured at the woman. “Nice to meet you”, she smiled. I thought I recognized her face from somewhere, but I couldn’t make the connection. “Cat”, I smiled, and shook her hand.
Jax led me on. “Chibs and Juice, you know as well; and I’m told you already met Bobby”. The men both nodded at me. “Then there’s Happy…”. A tall menacing man sent me a warm smile. “Piney; Opies dad”; Jackson said, gesturing at an elderly man with an oxygen tank hanging from his shoulder. Jackson looked at a scrawny looking guy, and a tall heavy man standing next to him. “Those are the prospects. They don’t matter”. I scrunched my brows at him. “Trust me”, he chuckled.
We walked towards a dark-skinned, kind looking woman, holding a beautiful baby in her arms. “Hey Neeta”, Jax smiled, and took the baby from her; holding it to his chest. His face was glowing with pride. “And this is my boy. Abel”. I let the baby hold my finger, and smiled at his chubby face. “Hi, Abel”. Jacksons eyes met mine; gleaming. “Is… his mom…”, I tried – fearing the answer. “Not around”, Jax answered. “It’s better that way”, he said meaningfully. I nodded. It wasn’t the time.
Abel started fussing. Jax took a baby-blanket from a diaper-bag on a table. “Did you bring…?”, Jax said, before Neeta handed him a bottle. Jax smiled warmly in thank you. He put the bottle to Abel’s mouth. “Here you go, little dude”. He bounced the baby up and down softly. “You’re good at that”, I smiled. “My mom would have my ass, if I wasn’t”, he grinned. “Besides, he’s my little man”. I stroked a finger over the baby’s forehead. “He’s perfect”. Jax looked at me proudly. “Yeah”, he smiled.
I looked around. “Where is your mom, by the way?”. “Shit, yeah”, he said, looking at the watch on his wrist. Jackson kissed the top of Abel’s head, and handed the bottle back to Neeta. “Gemma and Clay will be here in 5”, he called into the room. “She doesn’t know why she’s here. So quiet the hell up!”. There was a rumbling of an engine outside. “Shit, they’re early!”, Bobby said. “Turn off the lights!”.
Someone hit the lights; and about ten seconds later the door opened. “Goddammit, Clay”, Gemma grumbled, as she walked in. “You promised to take me to dinner, you jerk!”.
“Surprise!”, everyone yelled; and the lights turned on again. Gemma stood, mouth agape; flanked by the grey-haired man I’d seen on the road earlier; and a black-haired man with piercing eyes, I figured was Tig. “Oh my God!”, Gemma cried out. “You assholes!”. She laughed, and began hugging the people around her. Jackson walked up to his mom; and embraced her warmly; Abel still in his arms. Gemma kissed first Jackson; and then the baby, taking him from Jax’s arms. “You guys are dicks”, she said; happy tears in her eyes. The grey-haired man – Clay – put his arm around her waist, and kissed her warmly. “Happy birthday, baby”, he said. “At least you remembered it this year”, Gemma pouted playfully at him.
She looked towards me, a sense of wonder in her eyes. I smiled, and mouthed happy birthday. She mouthed me a thank you in response; followed by a warm smile. For a second her eyes shifted from me to Jackson, and she narrowed her eyes at him; whispering something in his ear. He laughed in response, and looked at me, biting his lip. He nodded at his mom, and walked back to me.
“Do you want a drink?”, he asked. “Please”, I said, smiling nervously. “Don’t worry, babe, you’re here with me”. I laughed. “Maybe that’s why I’m worried”. He winked at me. “In that case, you should be worried. Word around the street is, I’m dangerous”. He kissed my cheek again, and put his arm around me. “Rat, get this lady a beer”. The scrawny prospect handed over a cold bottle, and I took a welcome sip of it.
Opie joined us. “You’re teaching my kid this year”, he said. “Yeah, Jackson told me”, I answered. The tall man looked a bit uncomfortable. “She’s been having some issues… It’s been messing with her schoolwork”. I smiled comfortingly. “Don’t worry, I won’t be a hard-ass”, I said. Opie smiled softly. “Thanks”, he muttered.
Jax looked at his friend. “I told Cat about Donna”, he said. Opie nodded and met my eyes. “So you get it”, he said. “I do”, I said. “Let me know if there’s anything I can do to help”. Opies expression warmed. “Thanks”, he said. “Cheers”, he said, raising his bottle at me. We clinked our beers, and both took a sip.
Opie looked meaningfully at Jax. “We got that thing, brother”, he muttered. Jackson frowned slightly, and looked at me. “I need to do some business”, he said, and put a strand of hair behind my ear. “Be back in a bit”. He walked off with Opie, leaving me to sit on a stool by the bar.
The black-haired man walked up next to me. “I hear you’re in need of a car”, he said, accepting a beer from the larger prospect. “I’m Tig”. “Cat”, I answered. “I know”, he winked at me. “It’s a piece of shit old chevy, but it’s better than the one you came to town in”. “Anything is better than that”, I laughed. He handed me a set of keys. “80 a month for a year work for you?”, he said. “That’s cheap”, I said, frowning slightly. “We take care of our own”, Tig said, and patted my shoulder. “By the way; if you get sick of the VP, let me know”, he smirked. I laughed again. “Sure, Daddy”, I grinned. “So the was you, next door”, he chuckled. I shrugged, and nodded.
Juice stepped up to stand on the other side of me. “Hey”, he said, giving me a crooked smile, and a lifted brow. Tig tapped him over the head. “Hands of, Juicy!”, he said. “Jax territory”. The young biker took a step away from me. “Sorry”, he laughed nervously. I shook my head, laughing. “This place is weird”, I said. “Welcome to town”, Tig said; and clinked his bottle to mine, taking a sip of beer. I joined him in the drink. We took a shot of whiskey together, before Tig’s attention went to a busty brunette in the corner. “Excuse me”, he muttered; and sauntered off, leaving me alone again.
I decided to look for a friendly face in the crowd, being a bit uncomfortable on my own. Jax hadn’t come back for his business yet, and I was worried he’d leave me alone all night. Lyla was standing with another woman, looking like they were gossiping about something. She caught my eye and waved me over. “How are you holding up?”, she asked. The other woman walked off; climbing on to Happy’s lap, where he was sitting on a couch. “Uhm…”, I began. “I just got in to town, and I’m already having drinks with the local biker gang. I’d say I’m a little out of my comfort zone”. She smiled friendlily at me. “You’ve already bagged the vice president. You’re doing just fine”, she said. “I haven’t bagged anyone”, I smiled. “He’s known you for 2 days, and already invited you to his mom’s birthday. I’d say you’re a bit more than some crow-eater”, Lyla responded.
I took another sip of my beer. “What’s a crow-eater?”. Lyla chuckled. “Ok, quick lowdown on the women in the club”, she began. “Most of the women in here, are what we call crow-eaters. They hang around the club, make the men feel good about themselves… you know”. “An easy lay”, I muttered. “Yeah”, Lyla smiled. “Some of us are what you’d call old ladies. We’re the ones who have locked our men down. See this…”. She showed me a tattoo of a flying crow on her shoulder. “This means no one but Opie touches me”. “Doesn’t it feel weird to be… marked, like that?”. I grimaced. “Sorry… I didn’t mean…”. “Don’t worry about it, honey. I get it”, Lyla responded. “This is just my way of showing everyone around me that I belong to Opie; but also, that Opie belongs to me”.
She smiled, and took my hand, squeezing it. “You seem nice, so I’ll let you in on a secret. This life… it’s not easy; but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I love Opie – and his kids. He takes care of me and my boy”. She looked at me meaningfully. “But if you’re unsure about whether this is your idea of a good life; you should walk away. I mean that in the nicest way. Please don’t take it as anything else”. I gave her a crooked smile. “I’ll take it a day at a time”. She nodded.
A hand grabbed mine. Jax was standing next to me. “Hey”, he said softly. “Come say hi to my mom”. I followed him over to Gemma. “Hey sweetheart”, she said. “Thanks for the flowers. They’re beautiful”. “You’re welcome”, I smiled. “This is my husband, Clay”, she said, and the man at her side shook my hand. His eyes were deep and menacing; and I was unsure whether to be afraid of him or respect him. “Welcome to town, teach’”, he said. “Thanks. It’s been good so far”. Clay nodded at me, and looked at Jax. “Did you finish that business?”. Jackson clenched his jaw. “It’s done”, he said. “I made the call”. “Good”, Clay said. “Let’s just hope it doesn’t blow back on us”.
Gemma patted his chest. “No club business on my birthday, baby”. Clay smiled at his wife, and kissed her again. “Yes, ma’am”, he muttered. Gemma looked at Jax. “Do you need me to take the baby tonight?”. Jax looked at me, and then back at his mom. “Would you?”. “You know I love taking him”, she smiled. “Make it my birthday present”. Jackson chuckled. “Shit, I’ll take back the diamond necklace then”, he said. He took my hand. “Come on, let’s find somewhere quiet”. My breath hitched, and I followed him out of the clubhouse.
We sat down by a picnic table just outside the door. Jax had brought us a pair of freshly opened beers. “You doing ok?”, he asked earnestly. “Yeah”, I smiled. “Just … a bit out of my element”. He bit his lip and looked at me enquiringly. “What element is that?”, he asked. “I dunno… I usually don’t go to mc-parties”. He chuckled, and took my hand. “I’m glad you’re here”. “You don’t even know me”, I said quietly.
He sighed. “Tell me, then”. “What do you want to know?”, I smiled nervously. “Whatever you want to share”, he shrugged. “Why?”, I asked. He looked at me with a genuine warmth. “Because I’ve been thinking about you ever since you wrapped these hands around my waist, and it sent chills down my spine”. He took my other hand, linking his fingers with mine. “Where did you come from?”.
I didn’t know how much to tell him. I was still mentally sore from my ordeal with the guy in Chicago – but his serious expression made me trust him. “Chicago”, I said. “I was a teacher there as well. It didn’t work out…”. “Why?”. I sighed. “The city can wear a girl down”, I smiled theatrically. “And there was… a guy. He didn’t know how to take no for an answer”. Jacksons jaw clenched. “What’d he do to you?”, he almost growled “At first he was fine. We had a few dates, before he suddenly proclaimed his love for me”. “You didn’t feel the same way?”, Jax asked. “No. I mean; back then, he was friendly, had a steady job… He saw himself as a catch; and I guess he was. But I just didn’t care about him like that. He was… possessive. I tried to call it off, but he acted like I’d never said anything, and continued dropping by at my school; sending me flowers; and showing up at my apartment at all hours of the day”. Jackson bit his lip. “Sorry… I guess you’re off men for a while”, he said, and met my eyes again. I smiled. “No. Just him”. “Good to know”, he muttered. “But why didn’t you get a restraining order?”.
I sighed again. “I tried… he has connections. When he didn’t like my way of handling things, he let the word spread in the school council that I had an issue with drugs”. Jax shook his head angrily. “Asshole”. “Yeah”, I agreed. “I managed to get the drug accusations of my record – but it was too late, and I was fired”. “So you came to Charming”. I nodded. “I looked at names of towns on the west coast; and Charming seemed promising”, I smiled. “There was an opening as a teacher the elementary school; so I applied – and they must have been desperate, ‘cuz they gave me the position with just a phone interview”.
He squeezed my hands again. “I’m glad you’re here”. “Me too”, I muttered.
Jax put his hand on my cheek, and stroked my temple. “So if you’re not off men… mind if I give it a shot?”. I bit my lip, trying to stifle a smile, and shook my head.
He leant in, and stroked his nose against mine. Our lips brushed each other for a second; and he kissed me. I parted my lips slightly, and the tip of his tongue met mine. He put his hand on my lower back, pulling me closer to him. He smelled like leather and some musky cologne; a warm smell that fit him perfectly – and his kiss tasted like the beer he’d been drinking, and mint chewing gum.
He exhaled deeply and pulled back a bit. “Do you want to get out of here?”, he asked softly. My body was screaming yes, but I was desperately trying to control myself. “Jax… I just moved into town. We’ve known each other for 5 minutes… I don’t think…”. “I get it”, he smiled. “I’m not expecting you to jump in to bed with me. But I do want to see you again”. “I’d like that”, I smiled.
Our lips met again. “You taste like… pancakes”, he smiled. “Is that good?”, I smiled. “It’s perfect”, he said against my lips, kissing me deeply one more time.
The door opened, and Juice stepped outside with a ginger girl. “Shit, sorry”, he smiled. “It’s fine, Juice, the table is yours. Just clean it up afterwards”, Jackson smiled. “Come on”, he said to me, pulling me with him.
“I think it’s time for me to go home”, I said softly. He looked at me with a kind smile. “You want a ride?”. I jingled the keys in my pocket. “I got a new car; remember?”. Jax groaned. “Shit; I would have loved to have these legs wrapped around me, in one way or another”. He slid a hand over my thigh; squeezing them gently.
Juice looked impatient; and Jax took my hand – leading me over to a black, classic looking Chevrolet. “Wow…”, I said. “I popped an air freshener in there for you. It had a pretty gnarly smell”, Jax chuckled. “Thanks”, I smiled, and looked at him warmly.
Getting into the car – immediately thanking Jax an extra time for the air freshener; as it was needed – I rolled down the window. “Thanks for inviting me”, I smiled at the blonde man. Jax took the hand I had resting in the window-opening, and squeezed it – winking at me. His face suddenly dropped. “Shit, Cat. I didn’t get your number…”. I grinned, and rattled of my digits, and he punched the number into a flip phone from his pocket. Who uses flip phones anymore?
Jax leant in, and planted a final soft kiss against my lips. “Bye”, he whispered, and bit his lower lip. I smiled and started up the engine. My new car purred, and I had a wide smile on my face, as I left the lot – sending a final look towards the picnic table, where Juice was face deep in the red-haired girls cleavage.
Welcome to Charming, I grinned to myself, and drove off.

Your First Car Insurance USA
Your First Car Insurance USA
You may go for a Car Insurance USA, Car or truck as your vehicle.
It is also not a good idea to have a truck or SUV as they drink a lot of gas and the maintenance is high.
There are various types of cars to suite your needs.
There are coupes which have a capacity for 4 persons but only two big doors.
Primarily these cars are designed keeping in view for two, drivers and one passenger.
The power of the compact car is also a little less than the cars of other categories.
Other Progressive Rental Car Insurance has powerful engines and is rated as sports cars.
But I won't suggest this idea to people who have just come to the US, before/after marriage and don't have any kids.
Besides, it is always your dream and desire that makes you go for a particular type and model.
You can log in to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) sites to know about the pre-requisites and methods of getting one driver's license for your state.
I won't suggest anything or force you to go for what I think is right, but you must know the good and bad things involved in each.
* They might have more than one owner.
* They might have gone through an accident in the past.
* Some parts/components are just about to die.
* They may not be reliable for long drives.
Many other things are often discussed as advantages and drawbacks under both the headings.
However, I do not want to specialize in them immediately.
If you're convinced to shop for a replacement Car Insurance USA, then choose it.
Now it's the time for you to make a decision the Make, Model and sort of your Progressive Rental Car Insurance.
within the US you'll find many Make and Models (no Hind Motors/Maruti Hastings Essential Car Insurance of course).
From a Desi prospect, I might say it's better to start out with Honda/Toyota/Nissan.
These Car Insurance USA manufacturers know our requirements and never ditch us on the highways.
The lifetime of a Honda/Toyota is taken into account to be 300K miles.
But the design and interior designs aren't on par with the American/European Progressive Rental Car Insurance.
Take a cup of coffee, chat together with your friends and undergo some reviews before you opt upon the make model and color of your first dream Car Insurance USA.
Select the color and interior and appearance at the car through the simulator.
the foremost important thing that you simply must consider here is that when the subsequent model goes to be released.
If it's very soon, then don't choose it, because after you purchase your car, you'll see the newer model within the market and therefore the resale value of your
Cars with automatic drive and power windows have good resale value.
The leather interior is as per your wish.
Now you've got all the small print in your mind and therefore the budget is additionally finalized.
the subsequent step is to review the finance market and appearance for the bank/credit union that provides the simplest APR.
Also, do not forget to make a decision upon your Auto Insurance Companies In USA.
determine an honest A Choice Car Insurance firm and check out to urge a quote from them.
The premium varies from place to put.
With these things found out, attend the Auto Insurance Companies In USA Mall of your city.
choose a test drive for the car you've got already decided.
they're going to always attempt to sell you the foremost expensive Car Insurance USA they need.
But you should not deviate from your decision.
attempt to bargain with them for a possible reduction in their margin and invite extra accessories.
have you ever arranged one otherwise you want the dealer to form some arrangements for you?
If you're very new to the US and do not have any credit score, you'll not get an honest APR.
However, don't be concerned about the APR immediately.
you'll always refinance the loan with a far better APR after you buildup the credit history after a couple of months of repayment of the loan.
Once the deal is final, you would like to sign some papers then provide the A Choice Car Insurance details if you've got them.
Otherwise, you'll also provide the First Alternative Car Insurance broker s telephone number and therefore the sales representative will ask the insurance agent to urge the car insured before leaving their premises
(don't worry an excessive amount of for the insurance premiums now, it's important to urge your car insured before you drive out of the dealer's premises, however, you'll easily change
your insurance later, if you Discover Rental Car Insurance a far better one.
just in case you didn't get any First Alternative Car Insurance, you'll always choose binder insurance, but they're quite expensive, but you'll always cancel them within the middle once you determine your
First Alternative Car Insurance with somebody else and obtain a refund for the unused portion of your premium.
The next thing is to form financial paperwork.
you'll be guided to the dealer's accounts department and one among the accountants will assist you in finalizing the loan and payment for the Car Insurance USA.
At that point, they're going to attempt to sell an extended warranty for an additional 3 years after the manufacturer's warranty.
they're less expensive than new cars but at the value of your peace of mind.
you'll buy used cars from either a personal party or from any dealer.
Here also you've got to make a decision your budget and therefore the make, model and year of the car that you simply need.
Also, the opposite main factor is that the odometer reading.
Many sites offer you the links for used cars purchasable.
you'll also ask the local newspapers for any such advertisement.
There are places in some cities where people accompany their cars for auction/sale.
Rather get contact information from newspaper ads or the web.
Get the small print of the car like make, model and year of the car, miles it's run, condition of batteries, tires and engine condition, etc.
KBB will ask you some questions depending upon the private trading or buying from a dealer.
After you enter data about the private trading car, it'll show you an approximate value of the Car Insurance USA.
If you're buying a second-hand car from a personal party, then you would like to be more cautious about certain things just like the engine condition, the body condition,
the inside and therefore the accident/maintenance history of the car.
Don't choose cars that have already run almost 300K miles (for Honda and Toyota).
you'll start locating for used cars purchasable from various sources like newspapers, local ads, and therefore the internet.
After locating the supply near your home, prepare your matrix.
* Call each of them to repair a meeting for trial.
* Get the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) from the owner.
* Compare the advertised price with the approximate cost that you simply received.
* Use the VIN to seek out accident/maintenance history from Car Insurance USA and check for any major incident.
there'll be a registration fee for CarFax.com, choose the one month pack.
*, ask a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection of the vehicle.
it's better to travel to some brand names like Pep-Boys.
they're good and reliable, but you'll get to make a meeting beforehand.
* attend the owner, see the car physically (for any visible dents, body-color, torn airbag containers, and interior) then drive it with the owner.
* (All the cars need a timing belt replacement after running for around 100K miles, so if the car is around or over 100K, then you would like to work
out if the timing belt has been replaced, this information might be obtained from the CarFax report too.
One thing you want to remember that, in the US, the Auto Insurance Companies In USA spare parts aren't that expensive, but the labor charge to put in them is just too high.)
* The mechanic will offer you a report, during which it'll indicate the present condition of the car and what must be fixed with a rough estimation.
With the Kelly Blue Book report, CarFax report and therefore the mechanics' report, you'll have an honest bargain with the owner. If you wish the car and everything looks okay to you, then start bargaining. Don't focus more on the tires/batteries, they're not that important because of the engine.
NEVER BUY A CAR THAT features a SALVAGED TITLE.
Once you've got decided to shop for the car, ask the owner about the payment and mode of payment (check or cash). The owner has got to offer you a dismissal indicating that you simply purchased the car and it's yours now. He cants simply complain about the police saying you've got stolen his car.
He has got to inform the DMV office about the sale and transfer of title. you ought to also apply to DMV for transferring the title to your name. For registration, you'll need the dismissal, the Hastings Essential Car Insurance (get one immediately) and smog certification. After you apply for the transfer of the vehicle registration into your name, you're the proud owner of the Car Insurance USA.
It is too cumbersome to shop for a second-hand car from a personal party, sometimes it's too risky and altogether the cases it's damn cheaper. for a few unlucky guys, it'd have resulted in spending huge money on maintenance subsequent day. But it's not always true. However, you're alleged to visit the mechanic frequently and spend tons of your time there.
Buying from Dealer
The next neatest thing that you simply can do is to shop for second-hand Car Insurance For USA from a dealer. it's going to not be as cheaper as buying from a personal party, but 100 times more reliable. Even some dealers provide a warranty on the used cars they sell.
They buy the used cars, clean them up, do a radical checking of the engine and repair any damages, dents, etc before putting them on sale. you do not need to take the car to a mechanic for inspection, worry about the smog certification.
But always remember to see the approximate price through KBB and have a Car Insurance In The USA report handy before making it affect the dealer. Normally, good dealers don't keep cars purchasable that have any major issues like bad accident history, salvaged title, etc.
Go to the dealer, ask the sales representative about your purpose. He/she will show you all the various used Car Insurance In the USA they need that matches your requirements also as your budget. Once you've got selected the model, make and color, choose a test drive (don't forget to see the odometer reading).
If everything feels okay to you, then attend the dealer's office and access their computer to logon to KBB for approximate pricing also on CarFax for accident/maintenance history for that car. Some dealers even do that free of charge.
Now with these things handy, start the discount. you want to always consider the worry-free affect the price of the vehicle you're paying for. you'll find yourself paying a touch quite that of a personal party deal, but there won't be any worries after you purchase the Car Insurance USA Rental.
If there'll be any problem with the car (which is roofed under warranty), you'll always come to the dealer for having it fixed free of charge.
The dealer can also arrange a loan for you and look out of the opposite formalities like title transfer etc. you'll save tons of time/worries about this. Time is vital and dear during this country. So it's your call again.
After you finalize the deal, it follows an equivalent process as a replacement car purchase. to end all the paperwork and drive the car safely back home.
Tips Car Insurance In USA For Foreigners
* If you own an old used car that needs maintenance and therefore the mechanic gives you an inventory of jobs to be done, then do all of them once. That way you'll save tons of labor charge.
* As per my experience, buying a replacement car is usually better than buying a second-hand car from a dealer and buying a second-hand car from a dealer is usually safer than buying a second-hand car from a 3rd party.
* It seems to be an enormous amount within the starting to buy a replacement car. But if you compare the cash spent on new (repay the loan) and used car (repair/maintenance), then over three years they're going to almost equate with one another. So, why to not enjoy the ride of a replacement car.

ok ok a 68 plymouth gtx for ris is perfection but what do u think the rest of the squadra has? i really wanna say one of them has a studebaker somehow but i just dont know (ignore it was a us based company i love them anyways shhhh)
god. this is the best ask i couldve ever gotten. buckle up. ha ha. bc cars. and also bc I’m not gonna shut the fuck up
but YEAH NO SAME i also chose to foolishly disregard that italians wouldnt likely drive american cars (or necessarily drive at all…america is mad obsessed with cars compared to a lot of other countries so sdkfhsdkj) bc its all fun and games so ik a lot of this would be unrealistic but I’m american so i really only know about american cars/cars that are popular in america dskjfsdkjf so sorry for America-Centrism On Main but if any italians or ppl w knowledge of italian cars wanna chime in w their own takes, by all means!!!
oh and this post also foolishly assumes la sqaudra has money. lets pretend for just this post they all actually got paid for their jobs
SO WITH THAT OUT OF THE WAY warning this is gonna make this post rly long but I’m gonna ad pics of the cars i think they’d all drive like. in case anyone reading wants to know what they look like but doesn’t wanna look em all up so I’m gonna throw this under a cut in case it gets crazy
ok i can 1000% see sorbet and gelato sharing a like studebaker speedster that they would take out cruising for special occasions….it would spend most of its time under a tarp locked in a garage bc if you touch that car without permission you WILL die by their loving intertwined hands. some couples have babies. some couples get dogs. sorbet and gelato got a studebaker speedster and treated it with almost as much love as they do each other. one might think their driving would match the “crazy” impression everyone has of them but honestly? they prefer to take it slow and cruise so they have more time to enjoy each others company. on the job they’ll wreck a rental all to hell, but not their baby. the rest of squadra would low key fear for their lives on the rare occasion that sorbet and gelato offered them rides in their car bc the inside is spotless and they all knew if they left anything out of place or dirtier than they found it their time was up
Tumblr media
i think they’d dig a color scheme something like this; still looks mob and sophisticated without losing the whimsicality u feel me
i really like a classic chevelle ss or ‘67 mustang gt500 for formaggio
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(ignore how fuckin shiney these are bc make no mistake his would be scratched and worn all to hell)
in line w my headcanon that he’d be knowledgable about cars, i think he’d like supe them up and mod them for street racing or 1960s style drag racing. since we don’t get a lot of individual sqaudra backstory i sometimes think about him maybe losing his parents at a young age or having a bad home life as is typical of passione members and getting taken in by a local mechanic, and only as he got older realizing the shop had mafia ties which eventually paved the way for his induction etc but the knowledge and interest in cars always stuck with him. i think he’d probably drive the most recklessly out of all of squadra (rivaled only by ghiaccio ofc) bc he just loves to go fast as fuck and show off. he’s definitely a revs-the-engine-when-he-drives-by-someone-cute ass bitch
illuso would drive a ‘71 dodge demon, and honestly only because he liked the name and how it looked
Tumblr media
it would honestly drive formaggio insane that illuso would ONLY use this car to get around as opposed to flying down the countryside or doing burnouts in a field. illuso doesn’t know much about cars and he doesn’t care to learn either; if it looks good and the engine turns he’s happy. formaggio would BEG him to race him or let him take it for a spin, but illuso would be adamant in turning him down every time. he has no desire to take risks and tear up a perfectly good car, but if he feels especially generous he’ll let formaggio ride with him while formaggio excitedly rattles off specs illuso doesn’t understand in the slightest. he won’t readily admit to it but seeing formaggio that excited is really endearing and illuso would even end up learning something here and there from their time spent together
ghiaccio is anal enough about All Things Italian that he breaks my disclaimer and actually does drive an italian car. y'all already know what the fuck is going on
Tumblr media
hell yeah ghiaccio drives a lambo. ‘71 lamborghini miura to be exact. and boy does he make this motherfucker screech and drift. as much as he seems to abuse the car he’s extremely uptight about upkeep and will take it in as often as needed for repairs. you can also bet your ass he’d berate any of his fellow squadra members that didn’t drive italian-made cars, asking them why they’d choose to drive that trash on wheels when their country is home to the best cars in the entire fucking world and they have their pick. being in the passenger seat with him at the wheel is terrifying, don’t get me wrong, but he’s actually a very skilled driver, like to the point that he probably couldve been a stunt car driver if he wanted. but whatever you do don’t show any adverse reactions to his hard turns or brakes bc he will take it as a personal insult to his skill as a driver and you will find that the louder his voice gets the heavier his foot gets on the gas so Good Fucking Luck. (also yes ik we already see ghiaccio driving a car in canon but its headcanon time and during headcanon time ghiaccio rocks the fucking lambo)
prosciutto would drive a big beautiful blue ‘65 thunderbird convertible
Tumblr media
he would also be very particular about the upkeep of his car, but without any sort of personal touch; he hasn’t the time nor desire to keep up with the car himself so he just makes sure he takes it to a reputable shop to do it for him. it’s not his “baby” or an heirloom; its just a car. it runs and looks good as all fuck while doing it so thats all he really cares about tbh. that said, if anyone ever scratched or keyed or dented it they wouldn’t live long to regret bc as a wise man once said, you don’t fuck with a mans automobile. i mentioned this in the my squadra meme as well, but even though he smokes like a chimney, he NEVER smokes in his car. no smoking, eating, or drinking in the thunderbird. sealed packs of cigs in the console only and if the seals been broken it has to stay in your pocket. the upholstery is pristine and he prefers to keep it that way. he’s a very mild mannered driver and even often errs on the side of slow; he doesn’t really see the point in wasting gas by speeding or messing up the tires or alignment by showboating. he knows that he AND the car already look good enough to command bystanders’ attention so he doesn’t waste his time with any extra flashiness
ima keep it real with you chief: melone would drive a car you could fuck in the back of and thats about all there is to it, so look no further than the spacious ‘61 chrysler newport
Tumblr media
he would somehow figure out a way to get an aux cord and a sound system in this old motherfucker and would listen to his music so loud it about rattled the doors off, much to any passengers’ chagrin. he’s almost worse to ride with than formaggio or ghiaccio because he texts and messes with the music the entire time he’s driving. like its almost impressive how often he manages to NOT have his hands on the wheel. he’s a master knee-driver. all that in mind the rest of squadra groans in unison when melone offers to drive and risotto, who doesn’t have time for a squabble, gives the ok and send them on their way bc they know they’re gonna have to deal with melone insisting that driver picks the music and white knuckling the handles the whole time. but regardless, if the chrysler’s rockin and the britney’s boppin, don’t come a-knockin
since i see pesci as the youngest i think he’d be the last to get a car, but the rest of squadra would surprise him by all pitching in and getting him a ‘69 buick sport wagon
Tumblr media
it’d definitely be a fixer-upper (prosciutto insisted it’d be good for pesci to retroactively “earn” the car by learning how to take care of it, prompting the rest of squadra to point out prosciutto never even learned how to fix a car himself) but pesci would be out of his mind appreciative of it either way. after years of only ever riding in the back seat of someone else’s car he’d be so excited about finally having a car to call his own. formaggio would take him under his wing and show him everything he needed to do to make sure she stayed running in tip-top shape and they’d grow pretty close over it; formaggio would lose his damn mind the first time he’d convince pesci to do a burnout on his own. pesci would try his best to keep the car clean but he’d probably have a bad habit of leaving empty drink bottles in the floorboard or extra jackets in the back seat, but all in all he’d do a pretty good job taking care of the car and making the generous gift from his team worth it. most non-work related outings would have pesci chauffeuring, but he wouldn’t mind, bc seeing all his friends crammed into his car and having a good time would make him really happy
and last but not least risotto and his ‘68 plymouth gtx 🖤
Tumblr media
perhaps surprisingly he wouldnt be excessively meticulous about upkeep; he definitely wouldnt do anything needlessly reckless to harm the car or neglectful of standard upkeep, but he would definitely see it as more of a personal part of him than a machine that needed to maintain perfection. he wouldn’t really sweat scratches or dents here and there; they’re bound to happen to a car that old and if he found the time he’d take it to get it buffed. like i said in the hc meme i think it would’ve belonged to his father (or any family member he was close to really) and it was passed onto him when he died so it’s kind of a sentimental thing for risotto. though not quite the same level as formaggio, he’s fairly good at making standard repairs on his own, and doesn’t mind spending a weekend or two up under the car fixing it up and making sure it runs smooth. the rest of squadra would each be surprised the first time they ever rode anywhere with him; the second the car started old classic rock or metal would blast through the speakers, with risotto mumbling a quick sorry and turning it down, but not all the way off. they would find out that their stoic leader prefers to drive with the windows down, one hand on the wheel, other out the window tapping to the beat of the music on the hood
aaaaaaaaand YEAH. i told you i wasn’t gonna shut the fuck up DSFHKJADHKSDJ LMAO SORRY I WENT TF OFF BUT YEAH THOSE ARE MY. SQUADRA CLASSIC CAR HCs

Norwegian elkhound rejected by Sun Myung Moon
Tumblr media
an extract from the book, Heavenly Deception by Chris Elkins (1980)
Chris Elkins joined in Tucson in June 1973. He left to think about things on January 5, 1976. He spoke at the Fraser House Subcommittee on September 27, 1976.

Chapter 13
January 1975. Washington/New York
During my months in Washington I hadn’t much time to think. The schedule was as hectic as ever, and I was realizing that this was the course of life in the Unification Church, whether one sold candles or “influence.” There was always something urgent to be done, and it was strongly communicated that individual effort, or rather, lack of it, could be the hand of Satan sabotaging the movement’s divine mission.
By now I was living on Military Road in northwest Washington, and I was managing the staff of the Ginseng Teahouse. I had been transferred away from the Freedom Leadership Foundation because of a conflict with one person there, and I had desired to move on because of personal doubts concerning the direction of the political wing of the movement after Nixon’s resignation. I had been sent to work in some congressional campaigns for a while, and I had participated in Moon’s Madison Square Garden Rally on September 18, 1974.
Now I was enjoying the work at the teahouse. It was a new venture of the Unification Church and everyone had hopes that it would turn into a chain restaurant operation. We served Moon’s ginseng tea, the Il-Hwa brand, and we prepared health food lunches. We had a staff of twelve but hired some waitresses from outside in hopes of winning them to the movement.
I kept busy, but not quite as busy as I had been at FLF. Certain doubts crept into my head, especially about Moon. At times, the only thing which confirmed my faith in the Unification Church was the conviction that there were no other alternatives—my parents hadn’t trusted in me, I felt, and the church Christianity that I had known before wasn’t a Christianity of commitment and action as this was. And it certainly didn’t manifest the sort of love that I experienced with my Moonie brothers and sisters.
I learned that other Moonie friends had doubts too, but that they were stronger than I because they had spent more time studying the Divine Principle. They had moved up in the Church more slowly than I had. Moon had captured my heart and will, but it seemed that his grasp on my mind was not quite so firm.
Once I was sent on an errand that challenged my feelings about Moon and the Church. I was called out in the middle of the night to buy a birthday present for one of Moon’s children. At first I thought it was a joke. But as it was explained to me, I realized that this was a serious and important project.
Keith, an administrative aide, was telling me, “We know that Father has been wanting to get the children a dog and is really fond of Norwegian elkhounds. Since they are rare and extremely expensive we feel that the best bet of finding one fast will be in New York City.”
I still did not see how this all tied in with me. Why not get someone in New York to get the dog and take it out to Moon?
Neil Salonen explained, “We need someone to do the job quickly and efficiently. If the gift arrives after noon, it will seem as if we have forgotten the birthday. Since I can depend on you to do a job well, I want you to fly to New York on the next available flight and find an elkhound.”
Then, half jokingly and half seriously, he said, “And who could better find a good elkhound than someone named Elkins?”
I dutifully chuckled at the humor, but I knew that he was serious. “Sure,” I said, “I’ll be on the next plane.” Paul, the Unification Church treasurer, handed me an envelope with several fifty dollar bills in it and asked me to turn in all of the receipts.
On the way back to the Center, I heard a voice behind me.
“Excuse me, sir.”
I wheeled around to find a clean-cut young man with a bucket of carnations under his arm. I knew that he was one of our fund raisers on a mobile team, but catching me off guard the way he did gave him the opportunity to continue his sale before I could say anything.
“I am working with an interdenominational youth group raising money for missions,” he continued.
I decided to play along. “Oh,” I said. “And what is the money used for?”
“We’re using it to help kids on drugs and to start mission work around the world to help people,” he enthusiastically told me. I had to work at keeping a straight face. This was the first time I had ever been on the receiving end of a fund raiser.
Coyly I asked, “Is this connected with Reverend Moon in any way?” I knew that that was the hardest question to answer. To say yes would kill the sale, to say no would be a lie too easy to be caught in.
“We support many churches,” he said. “We just want to share God’s love with everyone.”
“And all of this money is used for mission work?” I asked, knowing what he would say.
“Yes, sir!” he said, almost straightening up to attention.
“You do an excellent job at fund raising,” I replied. A bewildered look formed on his face. I laughed. “I, too, am a Family member,” I said. “If I hadn’t been, you would have had me sold.”
As we bid each other good-bye I almost told him about the mission I was being sent on. I am sure that he had no idea that the several hundred dollars that he worked eighteen hours a day, seven days a week to earn would be spent on a dog for Moon. Although he would not have questioned the expenditure openly, in his mind it would have indeed raised doubts. I chose to let him remain naive.
Once in New York, I quickly started phoning. Elkhounds were hard to find and soon I realized that I would not be able to get the dog to Moon by the middle of the day. But I continued, knowing that Salonen would want a gift to get there no matter how late.
I finally found a dog in Greenwich Village at a rather posh pet shop. Filling out the papers, I had to disclose to the clerk who would own the pet.
“The name of the owner?” the clerk asked me.
I paused for a second and obviously was hesitant about saying it. Suddenly everyone around seemed to be listening. “Let me spell it for you,” I said. “S-u-n M-y-u-n-g M-o-o-n.”
I could feel the atmosphere grow thick. Although the clerk did not say anything at first, she looked as if she had become frozen.
She looked up and said, “Is this who I think it is?”
“I don’t know,” I answered. “Who do you think it is?”
“The guy with the posters up all over the city. The Korean guru,” she said.
“Well, yes and no. He is the guy with posters up everywhere, but he is not a guru.”
“Do you believe in him?” she asked. By this time a small crowd had gathered around me.
That question always sent me into a tailspin. I knew deep down that I still had major doubts, yet after being in for several months I had an obligation to answer yes.
“That’s a long story,” I said, trying to evade the question. “I am a member of the Unification Church, which is a Moon organization.” A lady standing nearby asked, “Well, don’t all of you believe that he is the messiah—the return of Christ?”
I found myself automatically giving the answer I had been trained to say. “We believe that he is perhaps a prophet, much like a John the Baptist figure, preparing the way for Christ’s return.”
“That’s not what I have read,” she said.
“Do you believe everything you read?” I asked.
“Of course not,” she said, trapping herself.
“Then, I suggest if you want to know who Moon is and what we believe, that you come see for yourself.” Obviously this frustrated her.
“Well,” she said in a last ditch effort, “I believe in the Bible.” “Good,” I said, “so do I. And in it you will find instructions to judge a tree by its fruit.”
By this time she was flustered, and rather than argue any further she simply turned and walked away. Although visibly I had won the encounter, I felt inside that I had been deceptive, and it disturbed me.
By the time I got the dog it was two o’clock. I rented a car and immediately left for East Garden, the estate where Moon lived in Irvington, New York. If I made good time, I would be there by three.
Once I arrived, the guards at the gate were hesitant to let me in. They had not been informed to expect me, and until someone from the main house gave clearance I wouldn’t get further than the gate. The security around Moon was always tight.
Daikon, Moon’s driver, was at the main house, and when told of the purpose of my visit he gave permission for me to come in. By the time I reached the front drive, Daikon was there to meet me.
He was a very pleasant man, quite trusted, and extremely close to Moon. “Hello,” he said, making his l’s sound like r’s. “You have gift for Hye-Jin?’
“Yes,” I said gleefully. “We have a Norwegian elkhound puppy for her from the American Church. May I present it to Father?’
“I think maybe not,” he said in his Oriental English. “Father expect gift this morning. Maybe I should take to him.” At that he disappeared into the house for what seemed to be hours.
When he returned, he still had the puppy in his hands and motioned for me to walk with him over to the garage. Daikon was in charge of Moon’s cars and he slept in a small apartment above the garage. Upon entering the garage, I noticed the limousine and the Mercedes Benz. Daikon told me that Moon had a sports car too, which was being repaired.
He put the puppy down and said, “Father would not receive puppy. But, I keep him here and soon Father will love him.”
The puppy playfully ran around the garage while Daikon and I talked. The more I considered the situation, the angrier I became. I had spent most of the night and all that day finding that dog. Besides spending a fortune on it, my airplane ticket and car rental had made the venture quite expensive. And for him not to receive me and then to reject the gift only further increased the growing conflicts in my mind.
“We’ll need at least fifteen San Juaquins and probably ten Poconos,” I said, referring to our teahouse sandwiches. We spent most evenings preparing the food for the next day. While talking in the kitchen, I heard the jingle of the bell on the front door signaling that someone had come in. Assuming it was a customer thinking we were open, I walked toward the front of the restaurant to tell him we were closed.
To my surprise I found Randy Remmel, the choir director. “Randy!” I said as I ran to embrace him, “It’s so good to see you.” We laughed and talked for a few minutes and I asked him in for a cup of tea, which he gladly accepted.
We sat down in a quiet corner of the restaurant and began to talk. I was pretty much running the teahouse myself now and was worse for the wear. Often half of the staff would be called off on a special mission at the last minute and leave the rest of us to try to handle the situation. Many times we almost crumbled during the heavy lunch rushes. Keeping up the morale of the staff when I could hardly keep up my own morale was getting more difficult. Randy was a breath of fresh air for me, someone I could talk to.
Randy reached across the table, put his hand on my shoulder, and said, “How are you doing, Elk? I mean really deep inside, how are you doing?”
Randy had a way of reaching down inside me, going beyond the facade that I often put up for everyone else. Just calling me “Elk” made me comfortable with him and reminded me of our abiding trust in each other.
I opened my mouth to respond, but words did not come out. Suddenly my eyes were flooded with tears, and great sobs began to well up inside of me. For several minutes all I could do was cry. Randy sat there and soothed me and told me not to feel bad about crying and just to let it all out. He knew that I had been under a great deal of pressure.
Once I gained my composure I said, “Randy, I don’t know why that happened. I had everything under control until you asked about it. But, things are pretty rough. We are expected to make this restaurant an ideal business, yet I can never be sure from day to day if we will have enough people to run it. We are behind on our bills because we have been using Teahouse funds to support other church activities, and sometimes I feel the weight of all of this on my shoulders.”
Randy smiled sympathetically. “But you and I both know that that is not the biggest problem you have,” he said.
Knowing what he meant, yet afraid to admit it, I asked him, “What do you mean?”
“All of us are asked to do the work of a dozen people everyday in half the time, and unless we have absolute faith in the True Parents none of us will ever make it.”
“I know what you mean,” I said, looking down at the floor.
“Chris,” he said. “Don’t think that you are the only one having doubts. If we had all of us together at one time, over half of us would seriously doubt the validity of our actions. If we did not need each other so badly, many of us would leave.”
There was a long period of silence between us. Several times we had been interrupted by teahouse staffers asking me questions. Randy began to see how trapped I felt....

 …
Morning came but as Tom pried himself out of his lonely bed you were already up and showering. In the towel on the rack along the wall you combed through your hair you wound up into a braided bun after blow drying it. As you brushed your teeth you straightened the panties you had pulled on, then your fingers eased under your sports bra to unfold it easing the pinch in your ribs. Leaving your towel on the rack on the wall you walked through the room to your duffel bag to add some socks and a pair of knee length sweats in a bright green contrasting the black loose tank top with cutouts along the back you hoped to help keep you cool in the long day of rehearsals.
Wetting your lips you tied your converse on then grabbed your bag and phones, adding your work phone to the bag while the other rang drawing out your smile. Shouldering your bag you joined the others in the lobby to sign out of your rooms and file into the waiting tour buses outside. Thankfully you had managed to secure the busses through the same rental service the Cyrus’ used and even though it wasn’t as lavish as theirs it still was impressively furnished and able to house you all for this first run through testing how you could manage the tour together in such a confined space.
Your bus held your dancers as the other had been sent around to pick up your band members. On your couch cushion you curled your legs in front of you as you texted Tom in his own towel clad process of readying for his early morning interviews. A pair of pictures were swapped of you in your towels before his picture of the view from his window of his hotel at sunrise as you sent one of your bus in the early flickers of sunlight as it pulled into the stadium parking lot. All your belongings were left on the bus and you led the groups of yawning people through the parking lot to meet up with the camera crews.
After hand shakes and a tolerable yet slightly awkward intro to your rehearsals you fumbled through was saved by the aid of your band mates to ease it into something more natural. On the path to the opening front gate the cameras followed along filming your path through hallways after the assigned guards to the stage where you set out the notebook with the set list out on the ground to read out the first section on queue for rehearsing. Back in the wings of the stage you spotted the lights and sound system manager readying as Roddey got the last of the instruments and speakers ready.
The first sounding of the drum intro to the first song brought on the attention of the crews finishing the inspections on the seating as well as planning out the seating to be added to the field in front of your stage. Pictures were stolen of the faint music and casual rehearsal in the distance while the lights ran through the preset motions around you. Until noon you ran through what you could until breaking for a lunch that was delivered for you only adding to the excited bubbly yet tired mood through you all. Around the floor of the stage you ate then piled the trash in the cans supplied and downed the rest of your waters to get back to work again.
The long rehearsal ended and you all packed up again to head out to the busses where you sprawled out freshening up in the bathroom on the bus in three minute showers leaving you all in towels in the bus as the next person filed in for their turn. Under those you redressed then dried your hair adding the towels to the hamper in the bedroom where you claimed your phone to answer Tom’s call for a long conversation signaling the cameras to stop filming for the time until you moved to climb onto the bed you shared with a pair of your band mates.
.
Tumblr media
The next day was another run through in Oklahoma that went through seamlessly with you filing back onto the bus to head out to Louisiana where you would be meeting Roddey after his flight out to see how the repairs had been going. As soon as you arrived you could feel the embarrassed tensions as the flashlight bearing guards led you to the pre set stage where you spied the set up lanterns the road crew had set up as well as the generator your amps and equipment had been hooked up to.
Sure enough as the film crew walked both around the edges of the stage and down in the pit you could see their straight out awe as in your upbeat number you slid onto your mark then rose up and flipped forward over the back of a crouching dancer. Mid air the lights cut off with the road crew flipping the switch triggering the lanterns to light up earning stunned gasps and claps from the watching crew supposedly setting up the seating on the covered field.
After a brief pause you had added to your live version of the song to allow you and the dancers a momentary break before snapping back to the rest of the song. The crowd of workers watched your number and the one after it until the lights cut on again, all noting your determination to keep going even in the dark, not wasting a moment. A clip one of them had shot quickly made rounds online along with a few more of your lantern lit numbers in the power cut offs assuring those with tickets for those shows that even if the problems continued they would still be in for quite a show. With a groan you rode the bus back to Texas where it dropped off the band and dancers at the pair of double wide trailers on the stretch of acres on Roddey’s vast ranch he offered to you for the tour dates in Texas with his brothers offering the same in the other two.
Leaving them you hopped out of the taxi thanking them for the drive to the airport for your short fight to Georgia for your Spider Man cameo. Groggily from there you climbed into the waiting car Marvel had sent for you that drove you straight to the set where you accepted little Tom’s crashing hug that you giggled through. As requested you wore your jeans and a pair of heeled boots leaving your curls free knowing they would supply you a shirt and a pair of contacts they wished for you to wear. Wetting your lips you listened to the simple scene they wished you to be in, after adding the bright blue contacts you removed your t shirt freeing them to add a fake tattoo of Loki’s helmet. Softly giggling to yourself you added the tank top with most of your back and sides exposed with strips of the silver top revealing the tattoo when your arm was raised.
Tumblr media
Across the fake street you walked to the café to sit at the table offered, crossing your legs as asked with the sunglasses they had given you being eased into place while the other actors got into place. Action was called, through the alley behind you Peter stumbled out with his friends on the walk home after school with bags over their shoulders, you were spotted and asked for a picture you kept the sunglasses on for. Screams sounded in the distance making Peter wet his lips and fidget with the neck of his shirt. On your lap your fingers eased around the mask that had fallen out of his bag when he dug for his camera, in his move to pull away you cleared your throat offering it to him stirring an anxious smile across his lips.

Before he could say anything another scream was heard and his friends turned to the crowds to stir up a distraction as he stripped and raced off hiding his clothes and bag for them to collect as you got up and strolled away. Down the block the camera followed you as Dr Strange came into view on the sidewalk in front of you stirring a grin onto your face. Easily you raised your sunglasses exposing the bright blue eyes and hidden tattoo on your ribs below your bra strap while on the monitor it showed a shop window reflecting Loki’s appearance before you followed the distracted Doctor into the shop as Cut was called. Though in his entrance Benedict turned wrapping you into a tight hug making you giggle and hug him in return while he stated for the camera, “I’ve got you now, Loki! Trying to foil my quest for my morning muffin!”
You giggled again at his peck on your cheek through the cast and crew shifting for the next scene freeing him to whisper lowly by your ear, “Tom’s lost without you, you know. Just about lost it at the exhibit.”
“Ya, he mentioned that. Heard my ex was promoting for his spot on a soap drama, I hoped he wouldn’t run into Tom.”
With a grin he joined you to change as he stated, “He’s got a surprise for you you know.”
You smirked at him asking, “What is it with him and surprises?”
Benedict chuckled, “Just mad about you. Stark raving mad.”
Making you giggle again through the picture he took with you in your costumes before you removed their shirt and add your tank top again as he changed his shirt sharing about his own week ahead and the table he’d reserved for you both. Another quick stop later you stole a tight hug and peck on the cheek from little Tom, accepted Benedict’s hand folding around yours and headed out for lunch until you shared a taxi to the airport.
The nap you had hoped to get on the long flight was hindered by the man arguing with his friend in the seats behind you for the first half of the flight until his loud snores and stomach gurgling disturbed you away from your exhaustion for fear of what it might stir in your sleep. Simply you doodled in your notebook for the second half until the ping reminding you to buckle up for the landing making you realize the perfect venue for a wedding you had drawn along with the fully detailed dream dress you had always wanted for the ceremony. Thankfully for your sake and the irritation of the elderly woman seated beside you the faceless images only left her to imagine you some sort of event planner or illustrator of some kind.
On your awoken feet you walked through the tunnel and out to the exit gate with your duffel over your shoulder switching your phone on finding Tom’s message that he was waiting for you by his car. Through the sea of people you caught flickers of screens along the wall of a man’s face over the banner naming him as the culprit behind the electrical problems in Louisiana. The muted anchors discussed the charges ahead as the listed amounts of damages and monetary fines that had been put on him to compensate the stadium. As well as those from the staff at the injuries inflicted upon the repair men trying to repair what he had done above the estimated jail time he would face for the preplanned ‘assaults’ he had committed via sabotage. No doubt you would have quite a lengthy set of emails waiting for you all assuring that your shows would be problem free.
Behind a set of glass gates you brushed your hair from your face peering around for Tom only to find him peering out from behind a pillar across the walkway trying to hide from the gaggle of teens you had to slip through. Near him was a van with a camera crew eagerly filming as, behind the pillar, Tom folded around you in a tight hug with his lips planted on yours. Breathlessly your lips parted and his hand moved to claim your bag and guide you around the back of the car to leave it in the boot and help you into your seat then trot around the car to hop in and quickly back out and drive off at the first shriek of his name. Mid chuckle he pulled back onto the highway then glanced over at you to say, “Sorry to rush our reunion, however I wished to keep the swarms away Dearest.”
His hand folded around yours to raise it to his lips to gently kiss your knuckles widening your smiles when his fingers wove between yours, “Not a problem for me. Barely made it through the girls the first time.” Making him chuckle softly and wet his lips.
“Benedict sent me a message about your lunch. It was quite amusing some of the rumors swirling around about it. First spotted in his arms on set, he kissed your cheek then a private dinner in a back room out of sight.”
You giggled again, “Oh yes, we’re out to ruin some lives with those headlines aren’t we?” making him chuckle again, “He said you had a surprise for me?”
He grinned at you and your playfully narrowed gaze at him, “Yes. Though it isn’t as grand as your bracelet, simply a dinner. Reserved a back room for some headlines of our own.” He wet his lips again as you smiled and rested your head against his bicep, “You didn’t happen to watch the news on your flight?”
“No, the guys behind me were too loud to focus on the tv. Though walking through the airport I spotted the footage of a guy they caught that damaged the stadium.”
Tom nodded, “Yes. The fourth day he fumbled walking into view of a camera, one of the guards knew him right away and his prints matched the ones on the controls.”
“Good news at least.” Your free hand began to smooth circles across his forearm under his rolled up sleeve, “How was your flight back?”
“Nice and smooth, though dreadfully loud. Nearly had to land early a pair of men got into a fight in the back of the plane.”
“Ah, maybe they’re related to the men from mine.” Making him chuckle again. Only for a brief few moments your hands broke apart so you could exit the car and rejoined for the walk inside the cozy steakhouse Chris had recommended for him. Smiles rippled onto the faces of the people along the path stealing pictures of you as they could until you had been shown into your table in the private room in the back.
Seated beside you his hand moved from yours to your crossed legs while you flipped through the menu resting your free hand on top of his widening his grin at your fingers smoothing over the back of his hand and fingers. When your mango tea arrived with Tom’s peach tea you handed over your menus with your orders, all through the meal his eyes lingered on you when his hand left your legs allowing you both to eat freely.
With a grin you both enjoyed your desserts and walked back to the car after he had paid. A short drive later he parked outside his rental home, he nipped at his lip, eagerly guiding you inside with his hand locked in yours with your bag on his shoulder. The bag was left by the door he locked freeing him to turn and lift you in his arms making you giggle at his wrapping you around his middle through your giggles that sounded against his lips. Tightly in his arms he carried you into the living room to stretch out on the couch, for what seemed like hours his lips worked against yours in a seemingly endless tangle of limbs simply enjoying what you had missed for the past few days. Where you might have imagined him taking you to bed to tear your clothes off and ravage you senselessly he chose to close what distance he could between you.
At the numbing of your lips quietly he settled his head against yours folding you in his arms tightly against his chest through the steady beat of your hearts assuring one another you weren’t dreaming and you had actually come home to each other’s arms again. In a reach up your fingertips eased along his lower lip parting them while your nose eased against his at your soft whisper, “I missed this.”
At your move in his lips melted against yours for a quick kiss you broke to nip at his lower lip parting them again earning a weak chuckle from him that died at your move in to claim another kiss. Though at your head tilting his eyes shut and his tongue darted out to flick against yours between your locked lips as your hands shifted from cupping his cheeks to ease through his hair drawing a content hum from him as his body flattened against yours. Firmly his hands eased along your back drawing you even closer to him at your arching under him.
Button by button you undid his shirt and giggled against his lips at his shimmy to ease out of it freeing his hands to draw you closer to him with just barely enough space for your hands to shift from his middle. A soft chuckle left him at your lips parting in the shiver you triggered from him freeing his eyes to lock onto you in the seemingly awed detailing of his body above you.
The singular image of your pool of curls around you in the stream of dying sunlight shining through over the curtain tops casting a golden light over you and the room once again triggered his struggle to speak the unspoken. His single struggle since first spending time with you had blossomed up once again with his mind rambling. Just so simple, three simple words, I love you… So perfect, right now would be perfect…
A glance upwards at his silence brought a curious grin onto your lips to ask, “Why are you looking at me like that?”
His eyes darted from your hair to your eyes making him lose his nerve knowing he didn’t want to say it just yet, not when he’d be forced to repeating it for so long over the phone possibly making you assume he might have said it just to somehow make you stay. He shook his head and a playful grin spread onto his lips asking, “If I had not been mistaken, Benedict mentioned a surprise of your own for me?”
Your brow rose only to fall with a giggle at his hand shifting from your hip up under your tank top inching higher at his nip at his lip stirring a blush onto your cheeks as your smile grew freeing his. Both of his hands moved to raise your shirt to just under your bra and he chuckled again smoothing his thumb over your ribs tracing the helmet there, “If Troy sees it he might make me get it for real.”
Tom nipped at his lip lowering above you to press his lips to the mark snaking his arm under you as he did, rolling you both over to lay you across his chest nestling you against his bare chest easing your arms around his shoulders in return settling your forehead against his chin. A soft sigh left him as his lips pressed to your forehead before he chuckled again making you prop your chin on his chest as he shook his head trying to bite his lip to keep his amusing thought to himself.
Moving your hands you planted them on either side of his head hovering above him drawing his eyes lovingly back to your face in the wall of curls around you both making his arms tighten to hold you in place unwilling to lose this moment just yet, “Are you going to tell me what’s so funny?” Barely you had been able to steadily ask that over the racing of your heart at that look he kept giving you. For weeks now that same damn look, as if he was a child staring up at something they treasured, it was a look only equivalent in your mind to staring up at your everything.
Again you blushed hoping that it wasn’t so staggeringly obvious that he was yours, that so easily that impossibly kind of his had ensnared yours completely. Especially when all he had to do was ask if you were ok. That first moment being stuck on his lap not so long ago when he’d called you Love. No doubt an obviously common endearment for strangers and lovers alike, surely just a slip of the tongue. But coming out from those teasing and tempting lips and the tongue bringing to life words that had so easily left you near to dropping onto the floor in his films and audio recordings of great sonnets and classical literature. All under those eyes just overflowing with a great quivering hope that the injured stranger in his arms was not harmed and would get over that embarrassing meeting. You hoped you were so far from translucent as you had assumed yourself.
“May I take a picture of it?” You nodded then squeaked in his turn to roll you onto your sides, only to giggle at his shifting your hair from your faces and adjust your shirt then ease his phone form his pocket and open the camera app.
You wet your lips and giggled again at his raising the phone showing you both peering up at in a mingled pool of curls, only after he captured the picture he switched to recording, “Are you…you’re recording?”
A squeak left you at his lips pressing to your cheek after his low purr of, “Mhmm. Simple snapshots cannot capture your splendor.”
Folding your hands over your face he chuckled leaning in to kiss your cheek again, “You and your flattery…” You giggled again at his arm drawing you closer to him away from the back of the couch allowing him to kiss your cheek. Though in the shifting of your thigh over his he adjusted his hips only to be knocked off balance and slide off the couch to the floor making you squeak again and burst into giggles landing on top of his chest as he chuckled at his phone falling to his side. Brushing your curls free from your face you giggled out, “Do you see what you’ve done?”
He chuckled as you flipped his phone over to end the recording only to lock eyes with him seeing that same look on his face as he saw you seemingly wrapped in the golden light filling the room making his hand rise to cup your cheek in his rise up. Just a breath away from your lips he purred, “I could ask you the same thing Dearest.” Firmly his lips planted on yours silencing any chance of asking for an explanation only for him to growl against your lips making you giggle again at the knock at his door.
Another squeak left you at his shift to his knees to set you on the couch stealing another kiss before turning to find and tug his shirt back on. Hastily he hopped up straightening it around his shoulders in his lean in to kiss you again planting his hands on your sides to cover your middle again under your shirt. Another shift of his hand claimed his phone he set in your lap on his path to the door, buttoning his shirt as he did. A grin eased onto your lips admiring the photo and the screenshot of the video you sent to your own phone then glanced up at Tom’s abrupt drop to his knee with a chuckle. Peering over at him you heard Chris clearly stating, “Now I know you asked for another night but he just kept looking at me with those eyes and kept making this noise. Elsa said just ignore him but he just looked so sad.”
Tom chuckled holding Bobby in his arms petting him as the puppy rubbed against his chest and chin while Chris followed him into the living room only worsening his reaction when you were spotted stirring another chuckle from Tom. His arm extended swapping the puppy for his phone while Chris settled beside you with an excited grin saying as his arm propped up on the back of the couch in his shift to face you through Tom settling behind you as you calmed Bobby down by stroking him. “Have you heard yet? Bout the vandal at your stadium?”
You giggled saying, “Not my stadium, but I caught a glimpse on my way out of the airport they caught someone.”
Chris chuckled saying as he shifted to grab the tv remote, “Turns out he was ‘coerced’ into it by your ex music producer.” Your lips parted and you watched the news report unfolding on the producer that had recently been charged with stealing money from his other artists for decades who had been noticeably angered by your huge paydays and sold out tour he would have sapped as much as he could from them if given the chance.
While you watched the story unfold Tom grinned at the saved picture once again then pocketed his phone turning his attention to Chris as he eased you between his legs and flat against his chest grinning against your neck planting gentle kisses along it between glances up at Chris lost in his excited recounting of his week without you both and plans he and Elsa had made for the days ahead for time with them on more couple outings.

How can I prevent this girl from completely taking advantage of my insurance company?
A few nights ago I accidentally brushed the side of my neighbor's car with my front bumper (cause she was parked like an idiot as usual). I'm taking full responsibility of it cause it's my fault and I have no problem with that. Initially I was going to pay for the scrape to be compounded out and whatever else was wrong as a result of me hitting it. However, when I spoke to her, she started pointing out a ridiculous amount of things: there's a scratch in addition to the scrape (ok, sure), she says I cracked her light (maybe I did, it's possible) but she's also saying that I caused her tire to pop out and that there's tread missing from it (which makes absolutely no sense because I didn't hit the tire or rim or wheel well at all). Basically, she expects a whole new paint job and a set of tires which is ridiculous for the small amount of damage that was done. I want to make sure she isn't trying to take advantage of my insurance company and cause my rates to skyrocket as a result. The car is a complete piece of sh*t and she doesn't take care of it at all - the paint's dull, the rims are rusted - and I think she's trying to fix these things by making it like they were a result of me hitting her. I have no problem at all taking responsibility for the damage I did, but I do have a problem with her making things up and trying to fix other issues through my insurance company. The last claims representative I spoke with told me that I would not be contacted by the adjuster at all since there is no damage to my car. Since she's going to be talking with the adjuster and I won't, I'm afraid she's going to exaggerate the amount of damage. Should I call my insurance company and tell them this? Will they care? What can I do?""

Car Accident and Insurance?
On 7/24 I was at a Dairy Queen drive thru the person behind me hit the truck I was driving. I was looking at her in the rear view mirror the entire time. She had a cigarette hanging from her mouth that was unlit and she eventually backed up after hitting me. I got out of the truck and looked and I did not see any damage. She then said I didn't move you hit me I then told her No I did not hit you I am in front of you and this truck was never in reverse. Since there was no damage to the truck I did not bother getting any of her information since it was not my fault. On 7/27 I got a call from the police saying she told them I hit her. I gave them my side of the story and they said she had a witness who was a passenger in her car and they will be in touch. I also let them know I had a witness as well. The cop called me back yesterday and wanted to get my insurance information so her and I could exchange information. My question is do I have to give my insurance information to this cop? I did not hit this woman and I think she is trying to get one over on the insurance company. The cop said yesterday I'm surprised the truck does not have any damage because her car does have damage. This truck was a rental truck which was inspected at the time it was dropped back off at the rental company obviously there was no damage to it. This woman looked like she was on something to begin with and I'm guessing she was not paying attention probably looking for a lighter and let off the break and hit me. Which I still don't see how her car would be so damaged. I don't want this con artist having my information. So should I tell the cop I am not giving him my insurance information and tell her to take it to court? Should I get a lawyer? I'm not sure what to do I am 29 years old and I have never been in a accident so I am not sure how to go about this but I know this woman is trying to pull a fast one and I am not going to sit back and let it happen.

New Fic: Rough Riding (Sons of Anarchy)
Chapter 1

Chapter 1: Welcome to Charming
California highways were always the best for long drives, especially to motorcyclists. The long stretch of road seemed endless, the wind playing across the rider’s face and tangling poorly prepared hair. The power of the bike vibrating through the very fiber of their being, there is no losing the sense of danger that teases at them flirtatiously as they ride faster, harder, and on more twists and turns than they ever dared before. Unless it was a drive to clear one’s mind, you’ll find a smile hidden behind the eyes of any rider, unless they have shades on to hide their joy from you. Hidden behind the badass biker scowl there is always a joy for the ride.
At least that was the feeling for the woman, her brother and her friend. Two of whom were  trapped in a van that held their bikes along with supplies belonging to the third boldly speeding ahead of them on his own Dyna. Both girls glared at him, wanting to have the cool night air skim across their skin and not deal with the stuffy rental that smelled of gas station sushi and the aftermath of such bad decisions. They had been in the car for so long that they’d gotten used to it, but every pit stop they were slapped with the putrid odor while Tank rode freely, his wavy, shoulder length hair billowing behind them as he stupidly rode sans a helmet. A further insult to the girls and how they were trapped.
“We better get there soon.” The passenger grumbled, her youthful, pixie-like face hardening with her frown and her pool water blue eyes hardening at the tanned figure in front of them. “Or I’m stealing his Dyna at the next stop.”
A brief and rough snort escaped the driver’s throat as she tried to imagine it. “I’d pay money to see that, not gonna lie. You know Tank won’t go easy on you because you’re a girl.”
“I can take him.” Came the defense with a seemingly indifferent bob of the shoulders.
“Ren, he’s got a foot and I’m pretty sure a little more than a hundred-fifty pounds on you.” A fuller bottom lip pushed past it’s top lip in a concern pout. “He also has, ya know… a rep when it comes to fist fights.”
“You say that like we don’t either.” Thin lips pulled upwards mischievously, Siren’s voice still unaffected. “Besides, I was our Sergeant at Arms, wasn’t I? Thanks for The lack of faith, Vix.”
Vixen Tirado let out a tired sigh, running her hand through a mess of chestnut brown hair. She new perfectly well how capable the raven haired girl was. Her rail-rod thin frame mixed with her youthful face and short stature made it easy for people to underestimate her. No, Vix knew better, but she also knew her brother; he wasn’t named ‘Tank’ for no reason. After a moment of careful thought, not wanting to insult the only female she’d opened up to, she let out a small sigh with an airier laugh this time.
“I mean he does lack the agility and reflexes that you do.” She offered a sidelong glance at the girl smirking next to her. “But if anybody is gonna knock my bro on his ass, it’s gonna be me.”
Both women laughed at that, Siren fully aware of the sibling rivalry that was known to get physical. Vix was never a tomboy,  nor was she a girly girl, but she refused to live up to the Old Lady Example of her mother or any of the sweetbutts that she was subsequently raised by. No, she was going to ride on her own, and made sure she found women that felt the same way. Her brother, though sometimes concerned about what other men would say, always supported her in this, and taught her everything their dad taught him. Thus begat the never ending competition.
“Okay, that’s fair.” Siren nodded, turning to look out at the span of desert around them. “When he invited us to join him on his run Charming I thought I was gonna get a decent ride in. Not this delivery bullshit.”
“Yeah, or that he’d have a brother or two,” Vix grumbled, amber eyes checking her mirrors for what felt like the millionth time this trip. “But no, he tricked us into this fuckery. They must be using up all the prospects for something else.”
“And here I thought it was that SAMRO finally decided to go Co-ed. Or that a certain Tacoma resident was missing you.” A pale hand went to cover a doll-like face that held no real innocence in the mock expression. “Oh shit, did I say both of those out loud?”
Vix let out a snort, shaking her head at her friend’s eccentric ways, doing her best to. “You know you did, ‘mana.”
“Oh, I must have struck a nerve! The spanglish begins.” Though Siren new that her friend was simply calling her a sister, she needed to live up to the name. “I mean, it’s great that you are bilingual, it helps me to understand your tolerance level.”
Her response was a nod coupled with a small hum of affirmation, leaving the other girl to turn on the radio and sing along with the music. Siren was known to babble at times, leaving Vixen to quietly listen and add to the conversations as she saw fit. She knew that her friend didn’t have a lot of people to talk to, and though Vix didn’t say much, what she did have to say usually helped to sort all the noise in Siren’s head.
About eight songs later, they both straightened up at the redwood sign coming up to the right of Tank. They both turned to each other with smiles on their faces in spite of their previous complaints. The small town of Charming opened up to them, small shops lining the streets, and giving way to houses and more business related real estate. Free of commercial real estate, the whole town was full of small businesses and family stores that have been around forever. Their town slogan wasn’t wrong, the name did adequately say it all. Vix was sure there was more to the town that met the eye, based on her business here, but the look of the town was quaint and homey. Siren seemed more than a little excited about it while Vix prefered being back in Tacoma with the long runs to go shopping and the open air around everything.
They soon pulled up to Teller-Morrow Automotive Repair, turning into the open gate with ease. Vix jumped out of the cab as soon as she took the keys out the ignition, stalking her way over to Tank so quickly, her hair came up in down in a ripple of waves around her shoulders. She waited for him to back his bike into the line of other bikes, with her hand held out expectantly.
“Have a nice drive?” He smirked, his hardened face opening up with the expression.
“I had a drive.” She responded, looking pointedly at her empty palm. “I’ll have a better one when my Harley is free from being stuck with whatever we brought here.”
Tank gave out a deep, but jovial laugh, keeping the keys she was looking for tucked away in his kutte. When she ground her teeth at him in annoyance, otherwise not moving, he let out a sigh, a tired hand running through wind-tangled strands. Stepping around the bike, he wrapped a burly arm around her lean frame, squeezing her close for a second before releasing her.
“Gotta talk to the Prez and the SAMTAC contact first, Cyn.” The timbre of his voice meant to be more calming than his normal gruff tone, but it set her on edge even more. “Can’t have you two opening the truck without them. Already took a chance bringing you here.”
“Right, and I’m sure it had nothing to do with the fact that Koz was away and you had no one to babysit us.” Vix punched him in the shoulder. “ Which is really not needed given that we are only a couple years younger. Also, cut it out with the real name shit, I have an alias for a reason.”
“You and I both know that Melly would have ended up needing you to bail her out, or you’d get into a fight after drinking too much, and without any Sons to have your back…” He sighed. “Look, I get that you miss your charter, I do, but they’ve been patched over by a group you didn’t like, so you left. You need to start following our rules again.”
“I didn’t even get to wear the full rocker, Tank.” She crossed her arms, not liking to be reminded of that. “Stupid Steel Sirens stole away my chance.”
“They also would have taken Melly’s name away from her if she stayed, so don’t act like you’re the only one who gets to be angry.” A large hand gripped her shoulder briefly. “But come on, she’s staying by the truck, talking to their prospect it looks like, let’s get this done and we can figure out accommodations.”
“Great, another thing I could have done had I gotten a chance to ride.”
The woman’s grumbling was akin to a teenager, not someone twice as old, but Tank took it in stride, letting out another chuckle as he lead his sister toward the clubhouse. The lounge opened up to a gameroom with a bar to the side, and a set of large double doors closing anyone who didn’t belong to the club out of church. In it sat the redwood table that the Sons of this charter sat at for votes and important meetings. His sister would never see the inside of that room, no matter how much she wished she could. It was a big part of their old man’s life, having been one of the first Nine before moving to Tacoma to start off the Washington charter.
He felt his sister stop next to him, her body rigid and full of tension. He held back the need to hold her, knowing that it would only make things worse. They haven’t been to Charming before, or if they have, they were too young for her to remember anybody, so it confused Tank as he watched her reaction. When he followed her gaze he instantly new why, and cursed himself for not asking who it was.
Standing at the bar, a shot in his hand, stood his brother in club as well as charter. Baggy jeans rested on his hips, his knife holstered where it should be, and a gun on the other side. He wore a grey reaper crew t-shirt under his kutte, with his patches sewn in place with care in spite of their dirty state. Around his bald head coiled an inked Snake, one that she’d done herself, giving him two pairs of dark eyes to look at her.
They both stood unmoving, the mostly empty room becoming tense. To anyone observing they looked relaxed enough, but Tank knew them both far too well to let it stay how it stood. Moving his hand to clear his throat, he was saved by Siren bursting through the door with Clay in tow. How the small girl knew who to find, he’d never know, though his guess was that she fluttered her eyelashes at the prospect who was close behind them. Pointing to Tank, she smiled and whispered something to Clay before breaking into a skip and stealing the SAMTAC member’s shot.
“Heya TK,” She greeted, downing the shot with a grin. “How’s Cali treatin’ ya?”
And just like that, whatever hold they had on each other broke. Vixen’s body relaxed a fraction of an inch, and moved to introduce herself to the Prospect (Half-Sack he heard him introduce himself as) and Clay. Tank let out a sigh, moving to his brother, and wrapping an arm around his surrogate sister thankfully. As he reached them, they were in relaxed conversation.
“That was the last of the good stuff, Kid.” There was a frown stretched across his features before he turned to Tank. “‘Sup Killa?”
Tank clasped arms with Happy Lowman, giving his brother a friendly pat against the back. “Wishin’ I’d asked Koz who they sent down here before agreeing to this. Would have brought different company.” It wasn’t quite an apology, he didn’t need to give one, but he hated to see his two families collide like this. “Or given out proper warnings.”
“Can’t avoid each other forever.” Hap shrugged. “Haven’t really talked since the patch over.”
“That’s because you’ve been more Nomad than SAMTAC.” Siren said. A fresh bottle of tequila in her hand. “Found more of what you call the good stuff for ya, Hap.”
“Whose side you on, Reddy? Cuz honestly I just got mixed signals.” Tank joked, accepting a shot glass from the petite woman.
“She’s on the side of whoever helps her at the time.” Hap smirked, taking the bottle from her and pouring drinks. “Or she’s jus’ good at the whole neutral thing.”
“To quote something Vix taught me…” the girl said, looking to her friend for a second her eyes the only indicator of her worry. “¿Porque no los dos?” (Why not Both?)
“Yeah, yeah” The boys laughed her smug comment away, before Hap ruffled her hair and they followed Clay into Chapel. The doors closed behind them, and Siren moved towards her friend.
“You good? I know I made a joke about it, but I honestly didn’t know he was here.” She bit her lip, and looked into the amber and olive tones that swirled dangerously in Vix’s eyes. “Judging by the conversation I just heard, I know that Tank wasn’t trying to pull one over on you either.”
Vix nodded slowly, blinking as she turned away from the closed doors and started to move outside. “Well, it’s like you both said, He’s been more nomad than anything, but we can’t avoid each other forever, can we?”
Siren paused for a second, simultaneously shocked and guilty that she had heard it. After recovering, she trotted after her, wishing that just this once her friend would open up and talk to her. “It doesn’t mean you have to be okay with it, or that this Club business has to force you into it.”
Vix laughed at that, opening the truck door and pulling her old kutte around her shoulders. She always took pride in the life, and dressed the part, something that earned her respect among the boys, and jealousy from all the sweetbutts. She’d pulled most of the club official things from it, the Daring Divas of Tacoma- hell as far as they knew even the Daughters of Chaos- no longer existing. She kept her charter patch on though, as well as her Daughters of Discord one that proudly marked her as a woman who’s killed for her club before. The back no longer bore the rockers, but instead was a collage of biking and other patches, the two on her left breast the only thing that showed her old loyalties. One the right there was an embroidered fox that’s tale wound around her biking name.
All the other girls would see it as her asserting dominance, or pretending to be someone who was more than just a hang around, but Siren new better; This was Cynthia Tirado’s armor just as much as it was a second skin. The other girl pulled her hair out from under the collar and walked up to her friend, pulling a pack of smokes out and a lighter.
“Care for a Cig?” She offered, nodding her head towards the picnic table that sat outside the clubhouse doors. “I know I could use one after that drive.”
“Somehow, I doubt your sudden craving of the Nicc is just from that ride.” The paler girl mused, following in her footsteps anyway.”
“It would just be the ride if you and Tank would stop poking the bear.”
Vixen spoke plainly, wrapping her lips around her cigarette, taking a long and heavy drag from it the second it was lit. She sighed out the smoke, stepping onto the bench and sitting at the table. She offered Siren the box and lighter, knowing that she’d take one. The brunette wasn’t much of a tobacco smoker, but she always kept a box around for social situations or ones like this where she didn’t have a joint on her. The two sat in silence, Siren clearly wanting an elaboration on the comment, and Vix tried to figure out what that was. Relying on the calming qualities of the cancerous stick, she blew the most recent drag’s smoke to the side, turning to face her friend.
“Hap and I are fine; have been for years now.”
“Oh, yeah.” Ren droned, puffing out a smoke with a look stating she didn’t believe her. “Sure is easy to say that when you’ve both spend the past five years apart. Him going Nomad right after it all and you throwing yourselves into prospecting into the daughters. And the two of you doing your tattooing shit, and random hookups with people you both pretend are the other.”
The final thing was said with a knowing smirk, making Vixen groan out. She wasn’t one to openly talk about things, let alone her complicated past with the Tacoma Killer, but Siren was too goddamn observant for her own good. She took a few puffs before stamping out the quickly killed cigarette in the ashtray next to her hip. Vix talked about very few things, but the Happy case was a thick file tucked in a small cabinet along with her daddy issues and emotional detachment. They were red tapped as confidential until a yet to be determined date.
“We all have have our coping methods.” She said, feeling her skin prickle around her shoulders uncomfortably.
“Doesn’t always make them good or effective.” Siren stamped her own cig out, a small frown pulling at her delicate features. “Listen, Cyn all joking and banter aside you know you can always-”
“Talk to you about my deep seeded issues and relationship related trauma,” Vix finished for her, having heard the speech too many times. “I know, Ren. I just can’t.”
“You say that, do you really-”
“Enough Ren.”
This time the comment was snapped, ending the train of conversation. She ficked her lighter on, dancing her fingers back and forth across the flame. She waited out the various faces her friend made, and the stammered attempts to restart the conversation, her face devoid of motion as she took in her surroundings. The lot at this point was mostly empty; two or three non club bikers and the prospect working in the garage and more than the people they’d seen worth of bikes lined up in a row. Vix wanted hers out of the back of the truck along with whatever the hell her brother was delivering to the mother charter.
Her eyebrows perked up as a Caddy rolled in and an older looking woman jump out before the vehicle had fully stopped. The men came out, including the owners of the rest of the bikes, meeting her halfway. The conversation was hushed and quick, but there was an urgency in all of their forms. Tank turned to the girls at the table, muttering something to a blonde with a clasp of the shoulder. As the group disbanded, the older Tirado made his way toward them, his face taking on the more dangerous look of something serious happening around him. Vix stood up to meet him halfway, tucking her things into her kutte and her hands into her back pocket.
“That looked more important than an emergency car repair.” She stated watching the woman and the blonde take off. “Those the rest of Morrow’s family?”
“Jax never took Clay’s name, and Gemma tacked it on to the Teller, but yes on both accounts.” He jerked his thumb to the warehouse. “You and Melly hang out here for a bit. I gotta take the cargo straight to the customers, and then meet up with Jax at St. Thomas if he needs anything. Gonna be a longer stay than I thought.”
“Oh good thing I packed my saddle bags then.” She nodded. “You better take care of my goddamn bike. I’ll behave up here as that mandate is followed.”
“Wouldn’t have it any other way, Sis.” He smirked, dropping a kiss to her temple before hugging Siren. He muttered the next into her hair, but Vix still heard it. “Make sure she doesn’t cause trouble, yeah? Fuckin’ trip is gonna be long enough without her making things worse.”
“Course.” She chirped, earning a glare from the other woman. “I’ll even make sure she doesn’t hussle the people here too hard.”
“Great, first I’m places under club arrest by my brother, and now getting all possible fun ripped away by my sister.” She spun on her heel with a frown, marching off towards the club house door. “Guess I’ll just drink myself into a coma or something equally as boring.”
“Love you Vix!” Tank called out, laughter clearly in his voice.
“Fuck you too, Tank.”
