Flight of Fancy . I’ve always loved capturing the motion of birds, so it was a bonus to have several cormorants lined up side by side, flying in front of the sunrise. . By slowing down the shutter ever so slightly, and panning my camera as well, these flying cormorants become more whimsical, abstract pieces of art. . As much as I love to capture moments in time, I also love exploring abstract forms during sunrises. Every now and again the colours near the horizon form layers upon layers of beauty. I love doing long exposure photography at this time where I can smooth out the transitions between the layers while still maintaining the colours of the individual layers.
