How small is Yuu and mini Yuu in monster au? And in comparison to the other characters who are monsters?

Ah, well here's the thing: Yuu and mini!Yuu is meant to be...well, you! Or rather, whichever of your characters you want to be in this AU, so their height is going to be different regardless of what I say here. Given my own height and my own character's height, we would be pretty small and close in size to Epel in comparison to say someone else whose character is as tall as Malleus in game 😂

But! Since you asked, I'm happy to provide examples and ideas on how tall the monsters in this AU are! For this, I will be using myself (female 5'1" or 156 cm) for visual comparison. Yes, I will be using both feet and cm since I know not everyone measures in feet or inches and vice versa. I had to do a lot of conversions so these numbers are as close as I can get @A@

Mini!Yuu is about 3 years old in this AU, and the average height tends to be about 3'1" or 94 cm, so I'll have it at that. Just to give an idea of how tall these heights are in comparison, here is a height chart of me (I just gave myself the mini!Yuu height so it's easier to see the comparison) with Grim and Riddle from the game versus Monster!Riddle:

Quite the difference huh? I tried to make sure that their heights would translate well enough for those whose legs are different, among other things, so yeah, these guys are much bigger than their canon selves!

Ok so this is more of a rant than a ramble. But it also applies to Outlander. It bugs the hell out of me when people use the wrong horse breeds in their shows/movies for The Aesthetic. We get it. Friesians and Andalusians are pretty. But they are not always appropriate choices! For either the period or the situation!

So Outlander specifically. The horse Jamie tries to win from Wylie is a Friesian in the books. This is appropriate! That breed was in-demand and popular at the time, and it makes sense that a stallion would be worth quite a lot. And the horse they used in the show was also a Friesian. So far so good.

But in the show, they’ve already used Friesians for...well just about everything. The horse John rode on the way to Helwater was a Friesian. It suddenly doesn’t make any sense to make a big deal out of a horse whose basic look has already been seen everywhere. So they went with “This horse is a descendant of Eclipse!”. And that makes. No sense. Friesians are not race horses. They look nothing like race horses. They are in no way related to (Thoroughbred) race horses.

Changing the reason the horse is valuable without actually changing the horse itself to fit that reason is an odd choice. I guess they just assumed no one would notice or care.

Which is pretty standard. But credit where it’s due. Some movies get it right. The Black Stallion used Arabian Cass Ole to play the title Arabian horse. Hidalgo used Arabian horses for it’s Bedouin horses, and while a (few different) Paint horse(s) played the title Mustang, they’re similar enough in type I can overlook it.

And that’s what I have to say about that.

L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)

Roger has (had? too soon?) an amazing singing voice and I really liked the parts where he’d be playing anachronistic songs. (I don’t hate or even dislike Roger but he fits into the “Not my faves” category.)
