Aaaaaand by two votes (by my calculations anyway), the dragon onesie wins first place! Followed closely by the kitty onesie and with the bunny onesie in third place! It's hilarious because the kitty and dragon onesie were tied quite a few times 😂

Now, what does this mean? Well, as I stated before, the top three winners would be sketched out concept wise, but it also means in the long run, whenever I get the urge to draw monster!AU shenanigans with mini!Yuu, I will alternate between the top three choices!

I really want to see your drawings of the Kaiju AU, I can’t stop thinking of Ragebloom as a giant hedgehog with lots of flowers and mushrooms on his back. Maybe with large sturdy nails that helps him create burrows and pick stuff up.

I am so sorry this took me so long to answer, but I am finally feeling confident in my arting ability to attempt to draw giant Kaiju bois! I'm currently working on each design, so expect to see more soon enough!

Since you really wanted to see Ragebloom/Riddle's Kaiju form, here's a concept I was finally able to narrow down!

Since he is part plant, this means that Ragebloom/Riddle's "tail" continues to grow, wilt, and experience the same issues as any other plant. Here's some little headcanons on our boi here~!

When he sneezes or shakes his body, there's a chance that some of his quills will go flying and may accidentally stick one of the other kaiju. Shellshock/Trey is the only one who doesn't have to worry too much about this due to his shell.

Prunes his "tail" with his teeth to get it at a decent length that can still defend while still retain his regal status as pack leader. Rarely lets anyone else touch it except for Shellshock/Trey, Crystalflayer/Vil, Crewelfang/Crewel, and Yuu. Smells like grass trimmings and sap when he's pruning the leaves.

His "tail" can hide thorns and vines that can be used to strike like a flail/whip or restrain his target.

When he's feeling sick, his colors fade and his "tail" turns brown. Major pruning is needed if black or white speckled leaves are found to prevent him from getting severely ill.

Rarely ever gets caught in the rain, but he does enjoy a good soak in a pool of water to rehydrate himself. He is part plant, after all, so he has to maintain the proper amount of hydration to survive. When he's done soaking, though, he smells like damp earth.

Uses his long claws to dig holes in the earth, using it as a "nest" so he can circulate nutrients from the soil into his body. He never beds down in the exact same spot for longer than a week before he moves to ensure the nutrients have a chance to replenish.

He can grow mushrooms on his body, though he rarely does these days after a run-in with Heartbinder/Floyd terrorized him while he was trying to give some to Heartshocker/Jade. These mushrooms can serve a variety of different purposes, ranging from creating medicine to creating noxious poisons.

Ragebloom/Riddle is the only kaiju besides Echofang/Lilia who is immune to most paralyzing agents and poisons, as he's able to absorb said toxins into his system and create the very plant/fungus that produces it.

Monster AU Kalim and Jamil Concept Update

Soooooo...fascinating how two years can make a huge difference in how you approach concept designs 😂

In continuing with my desire to make the characters in this AU more closely resemble their monster selves while still being recognizable, I went back and reconceptualized Jamil and Kalim from the old sketches I did two years ago (see chibi-ish sketch below)!

Honestly, I'm really proud of how Jamil turned out since I was trying to go more with the "flatter non-human face" that some naga/gorgon designs I've seen have, and it looks like he has a :3 face like a python 🥰 Noodle boi~

Kalim was a little trickier to work with as I didn't want to give him too much of a canine face, but still wanted to give him some non-humanish features. So fur fluff on the cheeks and a broader "snoot" seemed to be the best way. UvU Not sure what I'm gonna color his shoulder feathers though, but chances are they'll be the same color as his hair.

Jamil's lower jaw and underbelly, I'll be following the designs of actual snakes once I settle down long enough to do some digital coloring 😅

Expect to see more in the coming days, I'm on a roll!

Vil Monster AU Redesign Concept

So I'm slowly working my way back into enjoying Twisted Wonderland again, and I decided to revisit some of my old work to try and see if I can spark something again.

So remember this old post here from two years ago where I did a bit of a concept on what monster!Vil would look like as a unicorn monster? Well...

Ta-da!

Now that some time has passed since my first concept design, I realized that I was bothered by how I executed some of the designs. Sure, I still love some of the things I did, but in the end, there was just something lacking for me.

I think what I'm going to do is take the designs I have so far and make them feel more "monster-ish", yet still retain enough of their human-like selves to be recognizable.

Right now I'm happy with this version of Vil, and his horn feels much more elegant this way rather than a full curve! Also...MOAR EXCUSES TO DRAW FLOOFS!!!!

Hope you all enjoy, and I'll be slowly working my way back into the fandom and enjoying the AUs I have, including ones I still have yet to properly develop/introduce ;;v;;

I know I just posted a thing saying I'm still on break from writing for the blog, but I came across something that just...absolutely could not wait because it is human chaos and weirdness at its finest!

Picture this: Yuu in the Monster/Deity/Kaiju/Mermaid/Marine Biologist/Demon AU is completely bored and wanting to do something to alleviate said boredom.

Now imagine them coming across these stretchy silver, slinky-like tubes used for vents or other construction based things. It sections off into three tubes, large enough to fit an entire person inside...

And you get human weirdness at its finest here 😂

Absolutely no one would know how to process what they're seeing, and many are wondering how the hell this inhuman movement is still Yuu dancing around! (In Kaiju AU, they absolutely would have to put it on in front of the Kaiju to pull it off, or they'd get swatted away by accident). 🤣

Hello my lovelies~!

I know it's been a little while since I last posted anything here, but I wanted to at least post a little update. While I'm not entirely back in the groove of writing for Twisted Wonderland, I wanted to at least let you all know that I'm doing okay!

I really do miss writing for Twst, but I want to make sure that when I come back, it'll be fun and enjoyable for me and for you all as well. On the bright side, I've been able to revisit and enjoy old fandoms I fell out of love with for a long time, and I'm enjoying some new anime that have been coming out!

Especially a certain one that's been motivating me to try and eat better and healthier meals. >v>

It looks like you haven't posted here in a while so I just wanted to make sure you were okay. I hope you're having a great day wherever you are.

Hey! I'm doing okay, things have just been a little on the crazy side between work and just struggling with writing in general.

I kinda realized that I may have been burning myself out trying to write a lot of the stuff I was working on. Too many projects in mind, not enough time or energy to write what I want to write, too many thoughts on how to write something and not being able to choose, and just...not feeling happy with the results I've got written so far or the fact that it's starting to feel more like a chore to write something that I love and enjoy. I guess in a way I set my expectations and standards for myself to create stuff a little too high, which isn't fun when you're trying to work on adding more than just one or two words to a long fic or a short response to an ask.

Don't worry, I'm not quitting the blog or Twisted Wonderland or abandoning any of the aus or projects I've got! I'm just taking a little break from writing for it to focus on myself and maybe play around with other fandoms I like for a bit, sort of like a reset button to refresh my creativity and make me feel like I can still enjoy the act so I can come back and make it fun for myself again.

Aside from some stress from real life and just feeling tired overall, I'm doing okay. Just experiencing a little bit of burnout at the moment, but I'll be back when I'm ready. Just know that I love and appreciate everyone that has sent in asks or comments on my writing--they all make my day knowing that so many people love what I've created, I just feel a little guilty that I've let myself start feeling a little overwhelmed and not responded to a few of the asks I've got in my inbox. 😥

Okay so, my mother works in maternity and being born stuff. Here is a thing I heard from her a LOT

Skin to skin contact between mom and baby is the MOST important thing, first thing out of the womb besides making sure the baby breathes and healthy. Heart to heart.

That way the baby gets healthier or something? Don’t remember but makes the baby work better, frees oxytocin or smth Idk.

Also, babies some get ATTITUDE as soon as they pop out. Like, drama queen attitude. But understandable because they are babies.

Yeah, I'd heard that about childbirth! Skin-to-skin contact is important for developmental growth. According to Google, it helps calm and relax both the mother and baby and regulates the baby's heart rate, breathing, and temperature.

I read somewhere once (I think it was in a health textbook back in high school) that aluminum foil is used to help keep newborn babies warm by swaddling them in it, since they lose heat faster than adults do. Considering they have aluminum blankets as part of an emergency survival/first aid piece to help prevent hypothermia, I can believe that!

Considering they go from being in a confined space to a big cold wide world, I'd be surprised if one didn't come out screaming! 😂 But from what I understand, this is a good thing, though I think I've heard it's possible that babies don't always cry or scream. Either that or I'm thinking of after they're born and have settled 🤔

I really want to know what just. Inspired you to make such a long fic about preggo Yuu. Was it baby fever, or just cute baby animals?

A mix of baby fever (despite only having two fur babies and no biological kids), cute baby animal pics and videos, and the sheer shenanigans of the monster boys and staff panicking because the baby is coming 😂

It was also an interesting idea to work with figuring out how each dorm might chip in and help prepare for the arrival of a baby, let alone how mama!Yuu's maternal instincts would kick in for some of the boys *cough* Riddle *cough* and just being a reassuring presence for them.

Also, who wouldn't want to see Grim behaving like a protective kitty who climbs into the cradle and naps with the baby or gives chimera kitty kissies to calm the tiny bab 🥹

Just...too much cuteness and me trying to translate the ideas into words 😅 Hence why it's taking so long and feels like it's going to be much longer than what I've written before!

Hey there! Good to have you back!

Not sure which drabble you're referring to since I have a couple like that, but it's nice to have you visiting again!

One of the works I've been working on involves a fem!Yuu who's pregnant in Twisted Monsterland (monster!AU), and it's something I'd been chipping away at for a while now (mainly due to character stubbornness and writer's block). If I had to say though, I'm about...70-75% done with it. This thing is a literal *beast* of a fic I'm writing, so I'm thinking it's going to be longer than the Toothfairy mini!Yuu fic. @A@

I've also been chipping away on the side a rewrite/expanded "prologue" on how Yuu/mini!Yuu arrives in the Monster!AU, the next installment of the Kaiju!AU, and a skit involving Yuu trying to make a saddle for Kaiju!Grim. It goes about as well as you'd expect, but hey, I'm having fun with it! 😆

For the monster au

Is there a student at the school that could have four legs? If so do they need a custom seat in order to sit down?

There actually is a student that has four legs: Deuce! He's a centaur in the Twisted Monsterland AU, which means that movement for him will be a little trickier in smaller areas. But thankfully, most of the facilities and furniture is designed for larger monsters as it is, so it's not like he's going to be squished into a seat.

If anything, I'd imagine that the tiered/auditorium styled seating is capable of adjusting easily to accommodate such students, having various hinges and patches of wood that can be retracted or pushed out. Think of them as like those desks where a push of the button causes the computer monitor to sink down into the desk or flips it over so you have a flat surface! Or those tables where you can add or remove a piece to shrink or expand the amount of space you have!

Granted, for freshmen it's more physical for them to make the adjustments until they figure out how to do it otherwise (aka when their seniors can stop laughing long enough to share their wisdom). Since this is NRC, all Deuce or any other student who requires more or less room at their desk has to do is tap their pen against their seat (since it is their student ID), and the enchantments in the wood can adjust accordingly!

Which would also benefit Yuu now that I think about it since that world isn't exactly built for human sizes. 😅

Of course while they can stand off to the side if they want to, it's much funnier to imagine Deuce sitting like this 🤣

This does also bring up a thought on how they'd manage if they needed a wheelchair to get around since crutches wouldn't exactly be a viable solution given how heavy their lower bodies are compared to their torsos. And this goes for any four-legged monster by the way!

I'd like to imagine that for four-legged monster students/adults, they'd have wheelchairs akin to how you'll see dogs or cats have them strapped in to allow them to move around easier.

Though the artist below (and they're here on tumblr too under the same name!) has an interesting concept for centaur based wheelchairs, as well as other worldbuilding things for their characters, so go check out their stuff!

Keep in mind that I'll be creating my own ideas for this AU and centaur monster species, but this is a general concept for how the facilities would work for monsters with 4 or more legs. Hope that clears some things up!

So while organizing my papers and trying to find pages I KNOW I wrote and didn't just dream, I came across a small list of monsters I had written when I was looking for ideas regarding the Monster AU and hadn't figured out who to use.

One such creature is known as a Peryton, which broken down is a winged deer hybrid. It's one of my favorite lesser known (from what I'd seen anyway) monsters/mythical creatures that I hadn't seen used often enough in designs and the like.

You can see why I like them 😂

I wanted to use this species in the AU, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out which character would have fit it the most and simply gave up...until now. You want to know who would be a peryton in the Monster!AU? Why none other than...

Marja Felmier!!!

Honestly, I feel so silly for not even realizing it in the first place that she could be one since Epel is a hybrid of a faun and an enfield! Genetics work in interesting ways anyway, so no one would question why Epel has wings on his back yet looks different as a faun or an enfield with a long fluffy tail once they meet her!

...it's the power of NaNoWriMo, I swear 😂

Anyway, I wanted to apologize to everyone for being silent for a while and for being slow at posting responses to asks/fics. Been in a bit of a creative slump and real life just got a little overwhelming, so I'd taken a slight hiatus to just focus on myself and just play some games. Not sure if it was writer's block or what, but it was annoying. =A=

Despite that though, I've gotten a surge of inspiration lately thanks to NaNoWriMo though, so I'm using that motivation to finish some asks I had started but got stuck on and finally finish these fic ideas I'm trying to write!

Look forward to more stuff soon enough as I juggle ideas and try to get back on a somewhat regular posting schedule~! >v<
