Before Atlas Cove, I had never put such thought and detail into an island. I was super inspired to make a small little farming community back when springcore became more popular, and I think I managed to pull it off! From designing the flag to finishing my beaches, every inch of this island has my whole heart.  I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do! Happy crossing! 👩‍🌾

I'm skipping ahead a bit in my queuing up of pictures from the last few weeks because I wanted to post that I updated the dream of Supertown on Toy Day this year.

Mostly, I'm curious if the town, and the islanders, will be decorated for Toy Day. That is, will people be wearing their red hats? I doubt it, to be honest.

I'd love to see even one person post pictures of themselves visiting Supertown, so if you do, don't hesitate to let me know about it. It might not be the most exciting island around, but I did still put my heart into it, and I'd like to see someone else explore it sometime.

If nothing else, visit Rika's basement and say hello to the dream version of Marigold! She won't care any more than the real version, of course, but you might enjoy it.

I’m resetting my acnh island soon so I can restart the game from scratch, but first I’d like to share some of my favorite places on New Haven with you all! And maybe convince you to visit in a dream ☺️ I’m saying goodbye to New Haven, but it’d make me happy to know it’s still getting visitors!

New Haven is a hometown island with all the eccentricities you’d expect of a town ruled by a friendly overlord. There’s something going on in every inch of the island, and you’ll find all sorts of people and places as you explore. I’ve spent over 1100 hours here, and I’ve put a lot of love into it ^^

Visitors should feel free to explore the main thoroughfares of the island, including an after-hours stroll through the beach market

There are three neighborhoods on the island, each with their own unique quirks. Every villager also has their own backyard that tells you more about them! Punchy for example is building his own rocket ship, and Pancetti enjoys birdwatching :D

You’ll find gnomes in charge of running most island functions, while gyroids assist their fellow island resident, Alex, in running the local rec center. The rec is a fully-equipped facility for the use of any and all island residents

For something more lively, there is of course the local carnival grounds and the concert venue nearby!

Can’t forget to mention the rose maze. Your mission, should you choose to accept it? Make it to the winners garden at the end after finding and picking each of the nine rose colors hidden within the maze!

I should also mention a few of the, ahem, other residential locations on the island. They range from an alien crash-landing site (with its accompanying conspiracy theorist camp), to a fairy forest in which you should not under any circumstances accept any strange candy found laying around, to a mermaid-pirate turf war with a gnomish encampment caught in the crossfires. New Haven is open to all sorts of folks who make their home here!

Thank you for taking this tour of New Haven with me! This island has brought me a lot of joy over the past couple years, and I think it shows. I hope you’ll consider visiting!

I've been on Tumblr now for over 1 year. 🎉 I thought it might be time to (re)introduce myself and how I've been handling this account.

My name is Layla. I'm almost 42 years old. ♑☀️♒🌙���⬆️ I just started a personal Tumblr that you're welcome to follow if you want to learn more about me. @trauma-tits (Named after my weekly newsletter. I write a few other places on the internet too.)

Animal Crossing New Horizons is the only Animal Crossing game I've played. I love it so much that I can't move on to other video games because I'd rather be playing ACNH. I've only had one island called Praxis, but I hope to start a new one very soon! (In full disclosure, I've been saying that for months and life keeps getting in the way.)

I usually have my finger on the pulse of fresh posts, but you'll never know that because I reblog everything to the queue which hovers around 300 at all times. I use reblogging in real time to indicate when things aren't from the queue as opposed to marking everything that is. On Fridays, I hit "shuffle queue" and sometimes tweak the times and number of posts.

I've been sharing screenshots from my island Praxis with acnh praxis, animal crossing, animal crossing new horizons, acnh, acnh screenshots, acnh life, & animal crossing creations, and the vacation homes I've decorated in Happy Home Paradise with happy home paradise, happy home designer, happy home dlc, acnh happy home paradise, and acnh exterior or acnh interior as relevant.

Other tags I use:

ac [villager name] and acnh [villager name] because I couldn't remember which one I started with so to ensure I can go back and find things I do both on each post that highlights a villager to remain consistent.

If there is more than one villager showcased, I usually try to tag each one individually. However, if I am in a hurry or I don't know all the villagers and don't have time to look them up, I will use the general acnh villagers. I try to also use acnh [species name], especially if the post is solely one species.

Anything regarding dialogue (photo edited or organic) I use acnh dialogue or ac dialogue if it isn't New Horizons.

acnh codes, custom codes, and acnh custom design for the codes. This is not my strong suit, so any custom stuff you see in my screenshots someone else created (unless otherwise specified). I do not usually share the codes in each post since they aren't mine, but if you ask for them, I'll share.

For dream address posts I also use the tag i really need to start dreaming again because I haven't done it in awhile.

acnh inspiration is for anything that I see that makes me go, "Wow, I wish I was playing right now because this has INSPIRED me!" I never use this tag on my own posts, only rbs of others. If I rb your post with that, you should take it as the HIGHEST compliment. 😘

If there is crossover content between AC and other fandoms, I use when worlds collide, and sometimes I even share crossovers where I am not familiar with the other one.

I love it when people like, reblog, comment, and use my ask box. I love talking to strangers (because a stranger is just a friend you haven't made yet) and I love answering questions. I really like the animal crossing community, and I love making new friends. 💞

I'm still trying to figure out when I should be writing my commentary in the body of the reblog and when it should be a tag instead. i love animal crossing with my whole heart but I've recently replayed ac new leaf (they're closing servers to play online in april) and compared to new horizons it's totally on another level.

I mean it's literally a perfect game, everything about it is perfect, shops and locals like the disco club and the dream suite are perfect, the tour island is perfect and every past character fitted perfectly, even don resetti, and a lot more were added.

I liked some additions they made to new horizons with the updates, like the harvey island and his commune, knapp'n's tours, even the dlc happy home paradise. but if we look at the first version of the game it was totally soul less.

it seems like nintendo is trying to replicate the past versions with a similar but 'different' idea and some characters are here just to fill a hole - like tortimer or harriet - and a lot of characters have been forgotten!! (I really hope with updates they'll find a way to fit everyone)

don't mistake me, i love acnh, it was just a rant about how soul less it is compared to new leaf.

there’s still so much I want to do and finish (especially the homes as none are done except for Tohru’s tent) but I’m very satisfied with the way it’s currently looking! also just a little reminder that while it’s fruits basket inspired, there are still some areas that aren’t necessarily based off the manga/anime and are more so simply inspired by city-core aesthetics and rural Japanese aesthetics.
