Explore The Power of Actionable Org Charts in Successful Personalized Campaign
Personalized Marketing is when a B2B marketer tailors the marketing message according to the target account. It is unlike traditional marketing which targets a wide range of clients with a broad messaging strategy. Moreover, the goal of personalized marketing is to make prospects feel as though the marketers are speaking directly to them. Besides that, it gives your prospects a transparent and detailed view of the benefits of collaborating with your business. Thus, making it important to understand your target account concerning their:
Strengths, weaknesses, interests, opportunities, and challenges. Business prerequisites and chain of command. Market dynamics and budgetary matters. Existing connections and competitors presence. Preferences and tactics of key stakeholders and decision makers. For the above mentioned reasons, it is essential to opt for the authentic, customized, and actionable org chart of the target account. From deciding on the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) to creating the relevant pitches, an actionable org chart contributes to all. Eventually, it helps to reach out to the right set of target profiles at the right time with the most relevant offerings through personalized email messages. Moreover, the org chart developed by sales intelligence experts has proven to be immensely effective even for faster closure of enterprise deals.
Tumblr media

Please don’t repost/share my stuff (transcripts, GIFs, art, shitposts etc.) on public forums outside of tumblr. There are orgs, media, players, and their friends and family on other platforms, and algorithms will show them my posts no matter how much you think it’s just you and your circle of mutuals. If I wanted my posts on those platforms I would post there. I am just a member of the public, I did not consent to the virality machine. Peace and love on planet earht <3
Cross-section of some of my most used tags below the cut!
GIFs
I make gifs sometimes! Taking requests. When cool stuff happens, it goes in #puckpocketed details series, where I break down some of the action in alt text/ID and yap a little about what I thought was cool.
SOME OF THEM: details series | sharks | kings | ducks | caps | vgk | brave | cuda | juniors | ncaa | international | requests
research, archiving, transcribing
I like to go digging about hockey tactics, I like learning about the game and the people who play it, I like sharing it here — please watch out for times when I’m on a frantic media collection spree! I also archive and transcribe stuff here because I like to have it searchable on my blog. They are my trinkets and baubles <33 below are some of the tags I maintain — note there will be a bunch of crossover within some tags.
SECTIONS: transcripts | archiving | wailing about research | systems | the rink | reading | fandom | media | equipment | goalies | defenders | forwards | coaches | stats | charts and graphics
PLAYER MEDIA: kasper halttunen | leo carlsson
scouting/draft stuff
I like to poke around at prospects and draft related stuff. If I’m not watching hockey and learning about it, I’m reading/listening to draft + prospect material. When players get to the NHL, I find much of the coverage dries up. Any commentary on their play becomes vague, and everything is a stat + short comment rather than a detailed breakdown on habits and skills.
Public scouts publish long-form, detailed analysis (often including video reviews!).  You can learn a lot about how to watch hockey and how to understand what makes a player good by reading up on what public scouts are saying and comparing your own notes <3
Beyond that, I’m here for a vibe check. Most of this is fun media, interesting scouting reports, interviews, and draft day gifs! I’m just some guy at my desk. I have very few original, serious, well-informed takes about draft order or draftees. I can collect scout testimony and clips but do nawwwt expect my personal opinions about how good a guy is or where he’s gonna go in the draft. I don’t know what every team wants out of a draft and I do not follow every top draft-eligible.
The 2024 draft that we just had was the first one I experienced live, but I’ve been backreading stuff + looking toward future drafts. See tags below. Most are pretty empty, I’ll fill them sporadically — 2024 for obvious reasons is the tag with the most content right now so that’s a nice place to start <3
BY YEAR: 2018 | 2019 | 2020 | 2021 | 2022 | 2023 | 2024 | 2025 | 2026
hockey card AU
My special, special baby. This is MY #hrpf. This is how EYE play dolls!! I like to imagine players/teams as cards from card games I’ve played. I sit there and hallucinate their abilities and card mechanics and deck archetypes. Sometimes I even make art! This tag is where I dump all related content.
UNFILTERED YAPPING: puckposting (block this one + any liveblog tags if you’re just here for gifs/research)
UNSORTED: long form chatter | art | gaming/esports | baseball | photos | asks / anon

At a press conference in the Oval Office this week, Elon Musk promised the actions of his so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) project would be “maximally transparent,” thanks to information posted to its website.
At the time of his comment, the DOGE website was empty. However, when the site finally came online Thursday morning, it turned out to be little more than a glorified feed of posts from the official DOGE account on Musk’s own X platform, raising new questions about Musk’s conflicts of interest in running DOGE.
DOGE.gov claims to be an “official website of the United States government,” but rather than giving detailed breakdowns of the cost savings and efficiencies Musk claims his project is making, the homepage of the site just replicated posts from the DOGE account on X.
A WIRED review of the page’s source code shows that the promotion of Musk’s own platform went deeper than replicating the posts on the homepage. The source code shows that the site’s canonical tags direct search engines to x.com rather than DOGE.gov.
A canonical tag is a snippet of code that tells search engines what the authoritative version of a website is. It is typically used by sites with multiple pages as a search engine optimization tactic, to avoid their search ranking being diluted.
In DOGE’s case, however, the code is informing search engines that when people search for content found on DOGE.gov, they should not show those pages in search results, but should instead display the posts on X.
“It is promoting the X account as the main source, with the website secondary,” Declan Chidlow, a web developer, tells WIRED. “This isn't usually how things are handled, and it indicates that the X account is taking priority over the actual website itself.”
All the other US government websites WIRED checked used their own homepage in their canonical tags, including the official White House website. Additionally, when sharing the DOGE website on mobile devices, the source code creates a link to the DOGE X account rather than the website itself.
“It seems that the DOGE website is secondary, and they are prodding people in the direction of the X account everywhere they can,” Chidlow adds.
Alongside the homepage feed of X posts, a section of Doge.gov labeled “Savings” now appears. So far the page is empty except for a single line that reads: “Receipts coming soon, no later than Valentine's day,” followed by a heart emoji.
A section entitled “Workforce” features some bar charts showing how many people work in each government agency, with the information coming from data gathered by the Office of Personnel Management in March 2024.
A disclaimer at the bottom of the page reads: “This is DOGE's effort to create a comprehensive, government-wide org chart. This is an enormous effort, and there are likely some errors or omissions. We will continue to strive for maximum accuracy over time.”
Another section, entitled “Regulations,” features what DOGE calls the “Unconstitutionality Index,” which it describes as “the number of agency rules created by unelected bureaucrats for each law passed by Congress in 2024.”
The charts in this section are also based on data previously collected by US government agencies. Doge.gov also links to a Forbes article from last month that was written by Clyde Wayne Crews, a member of the Heartland Institute, a conservative think tank that pushed climate change disinformation and questioned the links between tobacco and lung cancer. It is also a major advocate for privatizing government departments.
The site also features a “Join” page which allows prospective DOGE employees to apply for roles including “software engineers, InfoSec engineers, and other technology professionals.” As well as requesting a Github account and résumé, the form asks visitors to “provide 2-3 bullet points showcasing exceptional ability.”
The website does not list a developer, but on Wednesday, web application security expert Sam Curry outlined in a thread on X how he was able to identify the developer of the site as DOGE employee Kyle Shutt.
Curry claims he was able to link a Cloudflare account ID found in the site’s source code to Shutt, who used the same account when developing Musk’s America PAC website.
On Thursday, Drop Site News reported, citing sources within FEMA, that Shutt had gained access to the agency’s proprietary software controlling payments. Earlier this week, Business Insider reported that Shutt, who recently worked at an AI interviewing software company, was listed as one of 30 people working for DOGE.
Neither Shutt, DOGE, nor the White House responded to requests for comment.

Onyx Storm RECAP ch9-ch14
It's time to do some action/adventure plot to keep us all stressed the fuck out.
WTF is happening in ch9-ch10?
Iron Squad shows up at Samara, both riders & fliers. The Lt. Colonel there looks exhausted & doesn't know what to do with them. Maren is worried about a village called Newhall over the border, where her family is living. They all pile into Xaden's old room, which is still warded, so everyone can sleep without getting a knife in the back.
Violet has a weird dream about trying to escape a fire with Cat and needing to grab a portrait of her family before she can leave.
Oh shit, Newhall is being attacked and there aren't enough dragons to protect it. Iron Squad votes to fly into the obvious trap go save Maren's family in Newhall. Big action sequence with wyverns & venin.
Damn, Garrick shows up? He's a distance walker & Xaden sent him to protect Violet. A tornado brings Violet & Garrick & their dragons down.
Violet meets her new nemesis, the silver-haired female venin Theophanie. They do some bantering. Theophanie wants to know which dragon chose Violet first, Tairn or "the irid." Cool, now we know what Andarna's kind are called.
WTF is happening in ch11-ch12?
Theophanie knows about irids and wants to see Andarna. She alludes to the fact that she (Theophanie) is "immortal" – so this bitch has been around for awhile. Interesting.
Theophanie appears to be making lightning (!!) happen around them. She predicts that when Xaden joins the venin, Violet will come with him. She wants Violet to choose her as her teacher, not Berwyn (that's the Sage). Theophanie says she'll give Violet what she wants most in the world, "control & knowledge."
Confirmation that Garrick has 2 signets and is a distance walker. Iron Squad arrives back at Basgiath. First mention of arinmint, which is illegal to remove from Tyrrendor.
Aetos acts like an asshole to everyone. There's a lot of back and forth about who commands whom, but all that matters here is that Aetos is gonna be a dick and Xaden, Violet, & Brennan are gonna do whatever the fuck they want. You don't need an org chart.
Xaden orders everyone out & they think he's gonna yell at Violet but there's kissing instead. Xaden admits he was having Bad Venin Emotions because Violet was in danger. Says something is broken between his head and his heart. They do some relationship negotiation, but everything feels solid here.
Violet brings up second signets. Xaden admits that a lot of the marked ones have second signets, because their dragons came looking for them to "build their own army." More signets = more power.
Violet tells Xaden that Theophanie wields lightning, and that venin have signets. Classes are back in session & Xaden is at the border. Xaden slipped up and channeled from the earth again because he's beyond the wards.
Only mention of Emery & Heaton in this book (miss them!) bc they're guarding JfB. Violet interrogates JfB. He says Sages & Mavens can disguise/mask their presence, even from lesser venin. Jack clearly knows a lot of interesting shit that we'll be theorizing about for the next 2 years. "There's no cure because magic does not negotiate."
WTF is happening in ch13-14?
Violet joins her friends for bantering. They roast the way Violet & Xaden fight, which feels like fan service acknowledging how much we all hated that dynamic in IF.
Sawyer thinks leadership loves Xaden + Violet and wants them to get married and make a new generation of powerful rider babies. Violet drops mentions of Loial (goddess of love) and Hedeon (god of wisdom) and this is where I started to realize that the gods were gonna be A Thing in this book.
They visit Jesenia in the Archives, where she's been demoted & bullied because she defected to Aretia. Sawyer + Jesenia are still adorable. There's a bunch of lore drop here but what's important is the isle kingdoms are happening in this book.
If you’re confused about what happened in the 400’s in Krovlan, don’t sweat it. You’re not supposed to understand and the details will come out in the next 10 chapters. Vi realizes she needs her dad's research to figure out All This Krovlish Shit.
Battle Brief. There's a lot of Poromiel geography here, but all you need to know is that the venin are still on the offense and everything is fucked. All the cadets get a book full of info about fighting venin, some of which was compiled by Drake Cordella.
Oh hello, Professor Riorson arrives as the new sparring professor (!!) in the quadrant and 500 new WIPs go up on AO3. Violet realizes that oops, she's not allowed to fuck her teachers (ha!).

Feudalism is, of course, a terrible system of government for basically any IRL purpose. But in fiction, it's dramatic as heck.
In its simplest form, it's character-driven to a degree few forms of government are. The king's word is law, limited only by his personal beliefs, the actions of other kings, and whatever traditions the author wants to include. The only other politically significant people are the king's family, his friends, and people he doesn't really like but can't get rid of. (Or, often, some combination of the three.) This simplified feudalism paints a world directed entirely by its major characters and their relationships, which is very appealing to writers who want to make a character-driven narrative.
And if you add historical detail? Well, there's some degree of inconvenient history and expectations and procedures and such, as there always is when you add historical detail. But mostly, you're adding more characters to the org chart. Vassalage is interpersonal and familial relationships turned into an institution, and you have to add a lot of inconvenient historical detail before you stop reaping all the narrative benefits of a character-driven political system.
That's probably why so many constructed worlds use some variation of feudalism—why, on the infinite blank slate offered by worlds of fantasy or science fiction or both, people keep inscribing the same basic political system, over and over.
(There's also that thing Abigail Thorn brought up in that one PhilosophyTube video about monarchy. You know, the now-outdated point that lots of people wanted to f*k the queen.)

Shorten Your Sales Cycle by Generating Quality Leads Through Actionable Org Charts
Generating high-quality leads is one of the most critical parts of successful prospecting. It requires detailed and customized information about accounts, their buying behavior, needs & requirements, challenges, etc. Even though it has been adopted by marketers for many years, the process of collecting authentic leads can be quite difficult. It takes up a huge amount of time for marketers to filter out low-quality leads from marketing qualified leads (MQLs). As a result, it slows the entire process of approaching the relevant target account and affects the overall growth of the marketers.
There comes the significant role of actionable org charts developed by sales intelligence experts. It provides a visual and graphical display of the lead's business solutions, the products & services they are interested in, the challenges they are facing, etc. Thus, the valuable insights of the org chart help to generate quality leads in no time while boosting the win rate of the company.
Tumblr media
Let's explore more about what are high-quality leads and how actionable org charts help in quality lead generation.
What are High-Quality Leads? They are the ideal prospects that have a high tendency for conversion. As the quality of leads increases, it is most likely that they are well-informed about your offerings and are already interested in making a purchase. This makes it easier for marketers to connect with the leads and close the deal faster. Moreover, the ideal way to classify quality leads is by attributing values to the actions taken by them such as interest in marketing content, job title, budget authority, and match to your ideal buyer persona.
How Actionable Org Charts Help in Quality Lead Generation? Actionable Org Charts built by sales intelligence experts is a well-strategized representation of the relationship dynamics and data points of the prospect accounts. Besides that, it provides many more details about the leads such as:
Birds-eye-view of the whole company structure Complete Business Knowledge Graph Key stakeholders & their contact information Multiple entry points into the organization Buying behavior, Challenges, Requirements, etc.
The actionable insights available in the org charts allow marketers to strategize account-based marketing & pitch in effective personalized campaigns for generating high-quality leads. That’s why it won’t be wrong saying that actionable org charts gives an edge to the process of quality lead generation. And, with sales intelligence, the process becomes much easier & effective.

The Roottrees are Dead gave us excellent "fill out that family tree" action that Obra Dinn gave with "fill out that crew roster" and Golden Idol gave (gives, it's still going) with... well, "fill out the story" I guess.
Now I'm just waiting for a game where you fill out a corporate org chart or try to piece together the structure of a government with obscure internal workings and ambiguous internal power dynamics that get revealed as the game goes on uncovering various important secrets. Maybe I'll make that one one day. Probably not but maybe.
I think perhaps few individual games have indirectly benefitted me as much as Obra Dinn though, it's distinct enough that it's probably not a guarenteed game to exist and yet is perfectly optimized to both make me like it and also create a whole genre of derivative games that are also generally good.
