Last year I stepped on stage to prove to myself that after three kids and running a business while pursuing my PhD, I could look just as good if not better than other women in magazines and in tv. I accomplished that. This year I wanted to look better than I did last year. 💯 With injuries plaguing me and working longer than ever before (the kids didn’t disappear either), I took my training to the FIT Lab and with the guidance of my coach and personal chiro, Jim Goetz went to the research journals and coached me what would be considered outside the gym box. It worked better than ever expected. 💯 I will admit there were times especially towards the end that I lost my passion to compete and wanted to stop. I did not. It was due to the plethora of supporters and outpouring of DM’s, emails, patients and fellow Team Functionised members that kept me going. I wasn’t going to let anyone down. 💯 From the bottom of my heart I thank you. If it weren’t for you I don’t know if I could have finished. You were more support than you could imagine and inspired me to keep pushing forward. 💯 I know my weaknesses and have already begun to work on them. I was going to just take up golf but some at FIT today made some comments that got me thinking to really make an impact. I was wondering if my efforts have been paying off. My coach Jim Goetz sent me this today. The pic on the left is when I started prepping for the show on the 17th just eight weeks ago. The pic on the right is me today. My training has been done in the FIT Lab with the ARX, @carolfitai , Vibration plate with altitude mask for increased EPOC and laser. Nutrition has been carefully planned and I’m adjusted almost daily. There’s nothing here I’m doing that you cannot do as well. We have some proprietary techniques but they are all well researched as they are effective and proven and best of all, we share them with everyone in our FIT Lab. 12 more days until the NPC show!!! I can certainly say that as I look back I have done all I could. I am ahead of where I was last year and hopefully I won’t have to dehydrate as much. 💥 The closer I get the more nervous I get. But this is always normal for something you put forth the time and effort into. 💥 I was actually a bit down on myself until my coach took these photos.
