Random thought that S1 could have instead had more consistent hinting/detail to it that Tommy *suspected* Grace in some way, and therefore his seduction of her wasn't entirely just the hearteyes it tried to be sold as, but rather attempting to sway her to his side. Because, given every other series has Tommy using his body/self/sex as a way to leverage influence he wouldn't otherwise have, it'd be consistent to have seen a hint of that with Grace.

And then to *still* have their revelation moment after the Garrison killings, because then how much more meaningful if he throws away his suspicions in favour of finding someone he feels sees him and gets him.

#idk i just do not find Tommy Hearteyes believable no matter how i try (and I do try?? other people cn see it but i struggle)#the eyerolling i do through most of s1 #S2 - may #S3 - tatiana #S4 - alfie #S5 - mosley #S6 - diana #i suppose you could say he's using his body/self and leveraging campbell's weird sexualised obsession for him in s1 #but it's more grace as that stand-in w kimber. then ada in the shootout #s1 the main sex bit is tommy quietly and subtly seducing kimber's accountant Roberts #my secret headcanon that Tommy also engages Roberts as a third party to test Shelby Co's accountants' advice for validity and flaws #a very longstanding professional friendship they develop #I suppose S1 shows tommy attempt to use grace in that way while campbell is exactly using grace that way #and then every season after has tommy having to do that himself in some way #i think what happens after s1 is the ways of “using body” for advantage (crime violence killings sex) blurs *significantly*#in s1 all uses are there but the lines seem clearer #by s5/s6 it's just the most twisted mess #i keep meaning to start my rewatch but infant has had fevers this week :/

I love these manga panels sooo much. I don't really remember how it's framed in the anime but it feels so much clearer here that Gojo is testing Megumi ... and Megumi only seems willing to consider breaking or going against jujutsu regulation in favor of his personal wishes when Gojo arrives. Gojo looks pleased that Megumi gave the right answer (saying "fuck jujutsu regulation, please do this for me" lol)

But like in this whole scene it's the second time Megumi brings up jujutsu regulation ... like right before he is about to exorcise Sukuna/Yuuji he says that he will do so "under jujutsu regulation"

I know it's also got to be for exposition/showing sorcerers are operating under a regulated system since it's the first fight ... but just think it's interesting the way it's done is by making Megumi say it. I just feel like these manga panels tell us a bit more about the kind of person that Megumi is (dutiful, but partly that's simply acknowledging he's not powerful enough to break the rules) and the kind of relationship Gojo & Megumi have than the anime does

#which is strange because I don't think there's a major difference in how this one's done in the anime #I think it's just about the voice acting and animation itsef #where it comes across as Gojo teasing Meg about wanting to break the rules. but here he's testing him #jjk #ada reads jjk

also i think i am having a bad allergic reaction to the mold in my office. there’s mold in my office btw

#their solution was to clean the carpets and talking about hiring pros to come in and clean the walls #then sending out an email about how taking everything off the walls would too hard.#but there’s lysol wipes in the hall if you’d like to clean them yourself #anyways i started getting a really bad cough and a little congestion last week.#also had a covid exposure at the office so i was freaking + testing like crazy bc i was getting respiratory symptoms + mildly elevated temp #all negative‚ requested an extra remote day just to be safe. cough went away and i felt much better after a few days. figured it was a cold.#worked my first full day in the office again today and the cough is mysteriously back and worse.#now i’m no doctor house but —#ig my next move is getting tested for mold allergy?#and if i have to submit an ada request to have Working In A Place With No Mold be granted as a reasonable accommodation.#that will legitimately be the funniest thing ive ever done.#there is everyone’s too much personal detail liz update of the day We Live in A Society

a lot about ada's character in resident evil 6 flies over people's heads but i'm always thinking about ada's line as she's about to provide sniper fire & help jake & sherry, "i suppose i should return the kindness their parents showed to me." a lesser pettier woman might've indulged in letting the children of two people who've separately put her through hell suffer as recompense. while i won't say she goes out of her way to offer aid given the only danger she puts herself in throughout the whole exchange is zipping around to whisk sherry to safety & the only reason the ubivsto is chasing after jake & sherry is because ada failed to kill it previously, it does speak to ada's rather wrapped moral fiber, something always shown & never told

#* file // : OOC — ( 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑'𝐒 𝐂𝐑𝐔𝐒𝐀𝐃𝐄 . )#for reference on being put through hell annette blew her cover and got in her way throughout raccoon city #and wesker tried and failed to make her subservient to him while she spied on his operations #always finding ways to ensure her missions are way harder than they should be (also blowing her cover in south america for example)#the whole kill order on leon in RE4 which to me always read like a mindgame to test ada's loyalty #as wesker was aware she almost compromised her mission in RC for leon's sake and the organization saw it as a betrayal #which was revealed in death's door released two years later so who knows if it was in the mind of RE4's staff #RE is so inconsistent across each game it's hard to tell #the RE4 guidebook just tells you ada appeared out of thin air with no prior history and while she was mistrusted by the organization #they found her the perfect counter to wesker's activities as a double agent
