The Island of Sri Lanka is shaped like a teardrop and the island is ringed by a broad coastal plain, rising to an inland terrain of gently rolling hills. When focusing on hills Ella is a place where you cannot forget. It could be described as a “lovely sleepy hill town". Ella (ඇල්ල- in Sinhala) is a peaceful small village in the middle of a beautiful green countryside with spectacular views. It is surrounding by higher mountains. Funfact: Drei Religionen beanspruchen den Sri Prada, den 1,8 Meter langen heiligen Fußabdruck auf dem Gipfel, für sich:

Christentum: Adam’s Fußabdruck beim Abstieg aus dem Paradies (daher auch der Name)

Bhuddisten: Fußabdruck Bhuddas

Hindus: Fußabdruck Shivas.

Ein bhuddistisches Kloster umgibt die Felsvertiefung, Pilger beten dort und spenden Blumen, Geld und Essen.Gesehen haben wir das Heiligtum nicht, es war mit einem Zierdeckchen verhüllt.

The world is amazing and beautiful, and as for me, its most beautiful outfit is the rays of the dawn sun. It has its own magic: at dusk the outlines of the mountains are barely perceptible, but only a couple of minutes pass and a blinding, juicy, golden light floods everything around and as a reward for waiting you get a picture that you could not even dream of.
