Okay so I don’t know why I thought this would be so funny but I just imagine the boys having a crush on you and doing their guy things to try to impress her.

But they’re like nervous and shy and they do secret presents and all of that. And you somehow confuse the assortment of heartfelt feelings and gifts for someone that’s completely not them.

And I just can’t help but laugh and think that you think it’s Monoma or even Mineta and everyone is just horrified that one of these two ends up on a date with you. (Whether out of gratitude or giving them a chance is up for discussion).

You don’t have to write about it, but thinking about the boys’ various ranges of mad/ disbelief is sending me and I thought I’d share.

(Let's go with Monoma because I don't even want to entertain the thought of Mineta going out with you)

Poor boys!!! Can you imagine they put so much thought into your gifts only to find out that you think it was NEITO MONOMA!!! I'm sure the guy has an eye for romantic things... but we know the only reason he doesn't deny that it was him is because he doesn't want his former 1A classmates to have you.

I feel like... as subtle as Bakugo probably wanted to be initially, if he sees Monoma (of all people) taking credit for his work, he's the one who reacts to it the worst. Maybe not immediately reveal it was him who gave the gifts, but at least start a fight. March on over to wipe the smirk right off his face and call him out for not even acknowledging how nervous you seem about dating him in the first place.

It's probably only after the inevitable screaming match that has to broken up by other heroes, when you and Bakugo are standing together in the aftermath, that he starts blushing and rubbing the back of his neck, like... "So... you did like the uh, the flowers then?"

Kirishima is definitely equally as mad but maybe not as reactive. Literally the last thing he ever wants to do is deal with Monoma, so he probably waits until after your awkward date is over to creep over and be like... "So... y/n......... you and Monoma, huh?"

Mostly because he doesn't wanna stop you if the person you really wanna go out with is the big M, but also because maybe there's still something to salvage...

And it's only when you reveal that the date was super bad and you're sorta... upset that it wasn't anyone else who sent the nice gift that he steps up and tells you it was actually him. Saving you from Monoma is the manly thing to do!!!

And Deku, omg... such a funny situation to find yourself in because maybe Monoma doesn't realize it was Deku who sent something either??? So when he creeps over to like... gently explain that he didn't leave the gift and the date was a mistake, Monoma's just, "Oh? Well, I didn't see you asking them out so I'd stop interrupting if I were you!"

LMFAOOO AND DEKU'S LIKE SCRAMBLING BECAUSE yes it was, but you're right there watching, and this isn't romantic at all, and he doesn't want you going out with a liar and, and, and now he's just standing there looking like an idiot...

And it honestly probably has to be you who tells Monoma that you'll talk to him later because right now, you need to help your friend... and Deku is just sighing because... yeah. That's why he liked you in the first place <333

And I'd go into Todoroki more... but he's the one who just fixes it beforehand, walking over the second he sees you planning something, with: "Actually Monoma, I gave y/n that. Stop taking credit for things you didn't think of."

And Monoma is just... left there stuttering omg. You're surprised too, but hey. Means you don't have to sit through any terrible meals with him aklsdfjkalsdjk

(And I can't help but think about after, too... when Monoma tries to sneak over and ask, "So, how was your date with the class 1A loser?"

And having been wined and dined before getting your back blown out, are just like: Oh, it was good haha😊
