The Adrien Swap

Working off this post, for an Adrien version of the two being swapped in their respective realities.

Special!Adrien has two potential routes when he's put in the canon setting. He could be working with his father to bring his mom back, though it's a tense partnership, and you can see Adrien is already rebelling against his dad, suggesting he'd turn sides in the future.

Or he doesn't know and is chosen to be a hero, but he decides he wants to use the Miraculous for his own personal fun.

Either way, he's more rebellious, and he changes his style to irritate his father. He actually gets himself to school and isn't so compliant, walking in just as Chloe is trying to uproot Marinette so she can be close to Adrien, only to be horrified when she sees him. Chloe backtracks so she can be as far away from Adrien as possible, upseating Alya instead. Adrien/Alya sits by Marinette/Nino.

Stoneheart arises, and if working with his father, Claw Noir is seen, otherwise, CN is a no show that first time and a stressed Marinette pulls through on her own, meeting CN afterwards, who makes it clear he's not a hero and he's not here to help Paris. He's just going to do his own thing, do as he likes.

OR he establishes they are enemies and he's going to walk the floor with her and take those prett earrings.

Either way, Ladybug is unimpressed and a little irritated.

Ladybug largely works solo, if a Miraculous rogue, Claw helps when it suits him, but otherwise she's on her own. Eventually, he'll be helping more often and actually become a hero, though a problematic partner at times.

If he's working with HM, they wind up frienemies and he eventually fully changes sides between a growing fondness for LB and his growing ire with his father, and Plagg getting through to him to accept the loss.

Now for the Special's world, Gabriel and Adrien are a family of heroes, potentially a Miraculous Clan, and potentially have 3. And as a father-son hero duo, things are going good, though his dad can sometimes be a little controlling or a little overprotective, but it's fine. They were doing good work and Paris loved them.

Until Shadybug.

The silly name was first heard being breathed by Chloe in fear, like it was a haunting nightmare that wouldn't leave her alone. But she insists this Shadybug wasn't a nightmare but a true villain terrorizing her, cursing her with bad luck.

And this being his childhood friend, Chat Noir/Catwalker took it upon himself to seek out and deal with this Shadybug. Only there seemed to be no trace of her. Try as he might he couldn't find any traces of this Shadybug.

It was sheer chance though that he found her. A ladybug themed villain who looked upon him with angry, calculating eyes and had no patience for his antics.

That first go just doesn't go so well.

And when his father joins in to help with this Shadybug, they learn she can easily handle them both.

And she wasn't going to be stopped, not until Chloe was as broken down as can be.

Leaving Gabriel and Adrien to race to try and figure out who Shadybug could be before she takes things too far with Chloe, and desperately try to stop her.

The biggest hope he does have is that she has helped him against near death encounters, that has to count for something, right?

If he can just get under that closed up shell...

What's Adrien doing in the Minnie Miraculous Au? If Marinette is wielding the turtle Miraculous and being the default babysitter, and Gabriel still being Hawkmoth (I think), is Adrien fighting on his dad's side? Or is he sent in as backup to help Turtle! Marinette when the kids get too rowdy? Marinette has experience being a babysitter, but even SHE needs help, and Adrien has proven canonically to be good with kids. And if so, what miraculous would he have? The tiger to be the offense to Marinette's defense as well as being an "older cat hero" for Chris to look up to? The dragon for similar reasons along the line of offense? The snake to help guide and watch over the kids?

Meet Sub-Terrain! Funnily enough, I was working on this concept before I got this ask, so here you go—Substitute Baby Sitter—I mean Turtle Miraculous holder for when Marinette is out of commission. (Sick, traveling, over-stressed and done with everything, etc.) He’s not bad, but, well, he isn’t always the most responsible “adult.” You know those Substitute teachers you had in high school who basically just let you have a party during class after about five minutes of lesson time? He’s kind of like that substitute teacher. So long as they get done what’s on the agenda (aka beating the akuma,) he’s pretty much cool with the kids doing whatever. It gives Marinette a migraine, sometimes, but he’s so good with the kids that she never stops begging him to take over as the Turtle full time. Also, he definitely encourages the kids to misbehave with their powers, jut a teeny bit.

And yes, Adrienette is a thing here.

In your Panthera Noire story, and sorry these might be a dumb questions, but how tall is Panthera? Is she taller because of the heels or is it magic? In the Picture Perfect chapter Juleka notices she gets taller after she transforms in front of Luka, so I'm also really curious about her height difference compared to the rest of the cast :]

Honestly, I think this is the most sunshiny au I've made. Look at them! Look at how cute they are!

All 7 main miraculous are already held by other people when the mouse and the dog are lost and found by a duo of middle schoolers.

Marinette and Adrien get to grow as superheroes with actual mentors and be kids while they're kids. They also get to know who each other are because they aren't LB and CN and also have adults around them who can look out for each other.

As for who their mentors/ the superhero team of Paris is, the ladybug, cat, fox, turtle, and bee are the team but I'm debating who they should be. While I was between existing adult characters and the quantic kids, I'm currently leaning aging up some of their canon peers :]

And it's been a minute since I've posted a fully rendered art piece I nearly forgot how to do it but I'm so glad I did bc she's so pretty (also idk how many people even know this is what my art looks like cuz I get compliments on the little paper dolls so frequently lol). I decided I'm gonna do a full illustration of the OG holder after the Kwami swaps, so look forward to that on top of the new designs 😉

It might look like Marinette is the only one w/o wings but no, no, no, fear not, she has some little Hermes bee wings at her feet :) (ignore Nino he's going to be cut from the series unfortunately)

Félix making fun of Adrien is funny but Adrien making fun of Félix is equally as hilarious because like. He’s so quick about it. He doesn’t have to think about it, he knows exactly how to do it like he’s thought about it before.

In the episode ‘Félix’ alone, when he’s pretending to be Félix when the Punishers Trio show up, he immediately acts CARTOONISHLY evil. Does a silly evil cackle and runs off. Then later when he encounters Félix as Chat Noir, he immediately hits him with the, “You don’t have many friends, do you? :)”

Too bad we never got Chat Noir and Argos fighting because you just KNOW Chat would be leaving some devastating blows. Cain Instinct Real.
