finding it kind of funny* how so much software these days is all electron, or at least electron-adjacent.
I get that it has its advantages, but when I'm looking for lightweight software, I actually do mean lightweight software, not "webpage locally running node.js through google chrome"
And sure, there's absolutely good electron-based stuff out there and there are some that I use on a pretty much daily basis, but that doesn't change the fact that they also tend to gobble down on memory and processing power much like a flock of starving labrador retrievers at a slaughterhouse all-you-can-eat raw meat buffet.
A little bit more consideration for some actual performance would be nice is what I'm saying. Just because giants like Adobe or Autodesk doesn't give a shit doesn't mean nobody else should either.
