Sad and Disappointing information for Zuma Fans.
The reason why he's been left out in both the show and merch is because his toys aren't selling well and they just think that Zuma isn't marketable because he's just a plain brown dog.
Not selling well? They are LITERALLY SOLD OUT IN MY COUNTRY. The few Zuma toys I found are some of the movie ones and the small plush version (in bad shape btw, his face is washing out in every single one of them lol).
These pics are from when I was at one of the biggest malls in my city a couple weekends ago. There was also only ONE of his big truck pups toys. I still need to go look in the other big mall and hope they'll have something else, I'm planning to go there this Friday when I don't have any classes to teach, but I gave up finding Zuma, I'll probably MAYBE find Marshall- WHO'S ALSO NEARLY SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE.
I swear if Zuma wasn't selling well around here, I WOULD'VE FOUND HIS LEFTOVER TOYS to buy by now. I can't find them in stores here, neither in our online shopping websites, the ones I find are the movie ones or "to import" options. Everything else IS COMPLETELY SOLD OUT!!! THEY SOLD EVERYTHING HERE!!!! THERE'S NOT A SINGLE TOY LEFT!!! They're just NOT RE-STOCKING.
Wanna know who's NOT selling well here? Rex. Poor guy has SO MANY of his vehicle toys just sitting there waiting for people to take pity on him and buy. I don't blame. He's looking ugly. I love him and I don't think I'll spend 130 on his vehicle toy. They didn't add not even stickers to it like the others and his face looks like he saw things that can't be unseen.
Meanwhile, Zuma's toys are the hardest to find because they sold out and whatever else I'm able to find are EXPENSIVE AS HELL. I'm sorry, I love Zuma with all my heart and soul, but I'm not gonna sell my kidney to be able to afford his movie hovercraft. AS MUCH AS I'D LOVE TO, anyway.

how in the world is mobile compatibility akin to accessibility? a big swath of neocities users are there BECAUSE they hate the way smartphones have become so widespread that many people have them instead of a computer. it's a pretty important part of the movement. "accessibility" is important because disabled netizens deserve to be able to view websites as much as everyone else, not because it can cater to more users. not having a computer is so far from being a disability that it's almost insulting to imply that the two are related in any way.
not everyone has access to devices with bigger screens. devices cost money. some people do not have enough money to purchase device with bigger screen. intentionally excluding people who cannot purchase bigger screen device is classist. (also some ppl just don’t want to have another device, or could buy another but aren’t for which reason.) denying access to someone who cannot afford a device is in my mind pretty similar to things like not providing image descriptions or being wary of eyestrain during creation.
PLUS. is there potentially a link between someone being disabled and not having the money for another device? That would be crazy to think about wouldn’t it /sar
mobile support on the small web doesn’t have to be perfect, but how is not trying—or worse yet just being an ass—any better than not having image descriptions? if someone needs yet another several hundred dollar device to engage, what is the point of the “movement”?
A web movement that does not try to be accessible is not free. Classism and ableism (just like every other social issue) are linked. What’s insulting is to imply that they aren’t.
And if you can’t find some way to make your site more accessible, you aren’t a good webmaster.

i... i finished my first edit of my novel. 107,098 words.
i don't even know what to do now. do i just... start from the beginning and go through it with my metaphorical red pen again?
do i invite people to read it and give any notes?
idek how i'm gonna be publishing this when it's Finished Finished. i want it to be accessible to the target readership (queer neurodivergent young adults) and i hate amazon so like. idk where to host it. or if it should just be a file to download. or what. AAGGGGGHHHH.
but anyway... I JUST FINISHED MY FIRST EDIT OF MY NOVEL.

"Let’s not forget this is a designer brand" What do you think qualifies it as a "designer" brand?
Oh anon, it’s very early and I absolutely knew that sentence would invoke something. So cheers for being predictable.
Designer brands are qualified in that they are products labelled and marketed under a prestigious umbrella, usually of a higher quality and usually named for the founder, creator or designer. 28OP fits that description. Designer brands are typically at a higher pricing point, but 28OP is still accessible.
There’s a point to be made here that there is a difference between a standalone clothing brand (regardless of your nitpicking qualifiers) and artist merch.
I’m excited to see what he does with it.
