I have a quick question so my post makes sense and you’re the one I know as the most knowledgeable AFK lore person:

Meg was Hercules first love right? In AFK I cannot remember if they were actually married or just lovers, and then he took her aura when Zeus gave him the task to collect as many auras as he could. He did take her aura right? Or am I remembering everything incorrect?

I need to know so my idea makes sense and I just want to check before I post and then look stupid when I get the AFK canon lore wrong lol.

And sorry this is literally so late, but I only just thought of it😭.

Yes okay so! Megara and Hercules were married, she says that they fell in love young and married early. She was pregnant with his child and they were going to start their family when complications with the pregnancy resulted in there being no child. That's when Meg says she started to lose him, having also said that Hercules' want to be a god was something he always struggled with, but that he was a good man when they were in love. He became unrecognizable to her. So when he received his tasks, when he had his chance to become a god, he took it along with her aura.

BUT! It's later revealed by MC that Hercules took Meg's aura before being given his tasks, and the tasks were given to him as a way to cover it up.

(If it's needed, the episodes I referenced were Hydra s1 ep7 and Hydra s1 ep 15. also if it's needed, meg's artifact is the ink quill, and her aura is the crow :3)

I'm re-reading Cerberus route and I'm at the part where he's explaining how he and his siblings were abused by his mother. "You were born like dogs, so you'll be treated like dogs" bitchass. And how bad it must've been that even when Nemean had his aura stolen by Hercules he didn't mind because it means he's not the dog their mother treated him as.

And how fucking hurt Cerberus must feel everytime Hercules & Zeus call him "mutt" in S3.

as a general rule i don't write smut anymore, but as stated previously, i will write some PG-13 spicy stuff as i go about it. that being said, writing for me is an outlet to process a lot of life experiences, and deal with the ethos i feel people need.

as a student of communication, we learn that the Greeks used storytelling as a primary mode of communication to teach and instill history, morality, ethics, and religion into their populace. story has a way of sticking with us, of crafting us from the inside out. that's why Christ, the most prolific teachers of history, spoke in parables. that's why we have Robin Hood and Hercules and Animal Farm, Dante's Inferno.

that said, you'll see all kinda of ethos in what i write, mostly because i write from my heart and direct experiences. body dysmorphia, religion. chastity and morality. which, ultimately, means quite a bit of my stuff deals with dark themes and the less-fun stuff you don't necessarily see in the characters we know and love.

Yo, I just finished season 3 of Alex's route and I love bit to death! I honestly liked it more than Season 2 which felt a bit directionless until the third act, but season 3 was almost perfect! Can't wait for season 4!

Also, I've been inspired to write a fic that's basically a route for Hercules since he's my favorite Greek Hero and they did my boy so dirty and the prospect of a romance between Herc and the reincarnation of the Goddess that ruined his life has enraptured me. And because I can't abandon Alex, it'd eventually turn into a poly relationship with them as well.

Having AFK thoughts, as one does --

So you know the original myths Kronos consumed his children - Zeus etc and it led to the war between them. In AFK universe I think, he consumed their auras which took their strength and even allowed him to control them. Not like Pallas or Hercules who were taking people's auras but effectively eating and eating it while he was merged with his aura, that did the trick - it's a rare ability which passed down to him from his father Uranus and to him from Chaos. And guess who else gets this dangerous skill :)

After she was born and unaware of her aura or actual species, Eos didn't summon her aura - she transformed into it out of pure rage having witnessed Artemis kill Orion, her first love. She ate Leto's aura as she got between her and her children Apollo and Artemis and she didn't only eat Leto's aura she ate her too, it is unbelievable to anyone else bc she's supposed to be this charming kind mortal woman who's the daughter of one of H.E.R.A's founders. No one ever believed either Artemis or Apollo and they are too disgusted to explain properly anyways, and they never cared much for Leto *shrug*

I also think the transformation is literally ripping your human skin off and beneath it is the aura, all bloody. Like... a birth in itself every time.
