Crimson Ties (Bela Dimitrescu/Reader, Soulmate AU) Pt. 3
Fandom: Resident Evil: Village Rating: T for language Warnings: Typical Vampire shenanigans + mentions of animal death Genre: Hurt + comfort Summary: Time to meet the family! What exactly has Cassandra told her mother? Can Bela convince her family to calm the hell down? We'll find out! Spoiler: there's the start of a cute date afterwards Notes: Once more we visit Bela's private study, which I first described in a chapter of Serenade. Added a few more details this time. PS reader is probably low-key a theater nerd with a hint of a goth phase, just saying. Also this chap is a little short, sorry. Previous Chapters: 1: Stem the Flow, 2: Tangled Strands
3: Rumbling Thunder
Heart racing, you step into the dining room, just behind Bela. Both of you are nervous, but find comfort in each other. Still, what you see upon entering only makes you feel worse. At the head of a large table stands none other than Lady Alcina Dimitrescu. Besides her is her middle daughter, the one who confronted you earlier, who sends you a knowing smirk as you walk in. Lady Dimitrescu, on the other hand, is scowling. Her eyes are squinted in a clear display of disapproval. If not for Bela’s hand squeezing your own, it was likely that you would have fainted from fear.
“I see Cassandra has wasted no time in spreading rumors,” Bela said bitterly. You’re amazed by her ability to stand tall in the face of her family’s tension. Yet there was a part of you that wondered if you were worth the struggle, at least for your soulmate. Thankfully, you are not given much time to ponder the thought. No, you’re being pulled towards the closest side of the tabe, guided next to an ornate seat. Neither Bela nor yourself sit yet, however. “Please, mother, do not be hasty to make your judgement. I promise that-”
“Do not presume to tell me of my own business, daughter. The timing of my judgement is my prerogative, not yours,” Lady Dimitrescu interrupted, staring right at you. A shiver runs down your spine at the eye contact. What did Cassandra say to her? You wonder, struggling to breathe past the lump in your throat. Even Bela becomes visibly nervous at the interaction. “Now… are you certain, without a doubt, that this is your soulmate?” Did she really even have to ask? What were the chances that Bela would save you, one person out of at least a dozen in the cellar, for any other reason? Still, your soulmate straightens up at the attention, and replies as confidently as possible.
“Yes, of course, mother. I would not dare risk your anger for any lesser reason,” Bela assured. Then she gives your hand another soft squeeze, before pulling hers back a little, catching the thread that bound you together with her fingers. Lifting it, she tugs it somewhat absentmindedly. Out of habit you immediately return the action. Unfortunately, those around you would be unable to see the display. For all they knew, the two of you could be faking it, simply attempting to get out of the situation unscathed. Surprisingly though, you see Alcina hesitate. Her left hand twitches as if she was thinking of her own red string. Has she ever met her partner? Did she know the pure joy that her daughter had so recently felt?... Maybe she’d be more sympathetic to your situation if she had.
“We will see if your defiance pans out in time, Bela. For now… Why don’t we hear what your pet has to say about themselves, hmm?” Lady Dimitrescu suggested, giving a somewhat devious smile. Next to you, Bela grimaces, then sends you a pleading look. Alas, you cannot read her mind, and can only guess as to how you’re supposed to respond. Bowing is a sign of respect in virtually all cultures, you think, probably a good place to start.
“It is an immeasurable pleasure to formally make your acquaintance, Lady Dimitrescu,” you said, before giving your full name. Then you rise from your bow, once more making eye contact. Out of the corner of your vision you see Cassandra rolling her eyes. “I know that I am a mere human, and hardly the epitome of a prime specimen. But I am determined to prove my worth, for there is no prize on this earth more grand than being allowed to love Lady Bela. Every ounce of my willpower is prepared to devote myself to this task, entirely, so that I may give Lady Bela the courtship and happiness that she is deserving. It is both an obligation and an honor.” Hopefully your soulmate wouldn’t mind you using the same line twice, at least under these circumstances.
In the seconds that follow, several things happen: One, you see Cassandra frown a little, and refuse to look in your direction. Two, Lady Dimitrescu makes a surprised face, but quickly shifts into an expression of satisfaction. Thirdly, Bela’s hand finds your own again, giving it an incredibly soft squeeze. Last but not least… someone you haven’t seen before enters the room. She has red hair, a green pendant around her neck, and eyes that light up with curiosity when she sees you. If you had to guess, you’d assume that she was another one of Bela’s sisters. Here’s hoping she’s a tad bit friendlier, you think.
“Did I miss anything? Ooh, please tell me we’re having this lovely stranger for breakfast?” She asked, grinning maniacally. So much for being friendlier, you think, figuring that she was being literal. Based on the way Bela tenses up in response, you’re probably right. Before she can protest, however, Lady Dimitrescu clears her throat and speaks.
“Ah, Daniela… This stranger-” she says the word with far less venom than you anticipated, but it is venom nonetheless- “is your dear sister’s soulmate. We will not be draining them of blood. Again. Assuming that they behave themselves. Is that clear?” She asked, staring down at the newcomer. There’s a slight pause, tension still lingering in the air, followed by a sigh of relief from Bela. Much to your surprise, neither Cassandra nor Daniela seem particularly upset by this announcement. In fact, the latter simply shrugs and takes her seat at the table. Next thing you know everyone else is sitting as well, including Bela, who gestures for you to follow suit. “I’ll have one of the servants fetch you some more… appropriate food. Cynthia, my dear?” Soon enough a maiden, perhaps a decade or two older than yourself, hurriedly enters the room. With a bow, she addresses Alcina.
“Yes, Lady Dimitrescu?”
“Have Miss Bouregard make an extra plate of whatever it is you sort eat, and bring it here. We have an… unexpected guest,” Alcina explained. At that, Cynthia glances at you, her eyes briefly widening in surprise. Without another word she turns away, giving another bow before heading away to fulfill her task. Once more you’re the only human in the room. Oddly enough, you manage to feel quite at ease, as if surviving one round was enough to guarantee you’d win the overall game. Well, at the very least you now had a chance. Regardless of what was to come, you were glad for that, for this opportunity to be with your soulmate. At the end of the day… little else mattered to you.
———————————
Much to your relief, the rest of breakfast proceeded smoothly. Conversation was sparse, with most of it being hushed whispers from the other side of the table, but you hardly minded. Normally you would find it rude. Now, you were simply pleased that they weren’t being up front with their hostility. More so, it allowed you and Bela to have your own conversation, which mainly pertained to your plans for the day. Several times during your discussion, a glance elsewhere would show you that Alcina was paying attention. Exactly once you even saw her attempting to hide a smile. A sense of pride had swelled in your chest at the sight.
It has remained there, even until now, as you move into Bela’s private study. One quick survey of the room tells you a thousand things about your soulmate. For starters, it’s clear that she’s musically inclined. There’s a harp in one corner, adjacent to a folded music stand, as well as a small bookshelf dedicated entirely to sheet music. A couple medium sized instrument cases are nearby, but you don’t immediately recognize their shape. Further into the room is a rather old looking desk, slightly worn, yet clearly cared for. Possibly passed down the generations? Next to the desk is a massive window with a couple spare chairs. All across the walls were bookshelves and mementos, including several skulls (at least one of them human). Every book you looked over appeared to be well read, with many bookmarks inside, some held together by tape and prayers.
“This… this is sublime, my darling. I could rest here for a month and hardly finish cherishing half the space!” You said, grinning at your soulmate. She’s equally pleased, seeming a tad relieved as well. Perhaps she had worried you’d be thrown off by the skulls? Wanting to reassure her, you approach that particular shelf, examining them closely. However, you do not touch them, not wanting to risk damaging her collection. “Truly marvellous. Dare I ask where you got these specimens?” It’s a joke, but Bela stiffens nonetheless, making you quickly redact your statement. “My apologies, I meant it as a jest. Though you are welcome to tell me more about them if you so desire! I will listen with rapt attention, I promise.”
“Most of them are gifts from Cassandra. During the summers we hunt, her more so than Daniela or myself. I… dislike wasting anything, and there’s only so much to be done with most bones. They have quite a few ornamental uses, however. Useful for study, as well,” Bela mentioned, smiling softly. Then she moves to stand next to you, carefully reaching to grab one of the skulls. “This was from one of our hounds, actually. I raised her from puppy to adult, took her on every hunt, even let her sleep in my quarters on colder nights. When she got sick I…” A pause, mouth open but unmoving, eyes slipping shut. “I couldn’t bring myself to put her down. Even argued with my mother, night after night, begging for another choice. None came, of course, and in the end even I could not deny her the softest embrace of death… Still, you must think me strange, to keep such a thing as a reminder of her.”
“Not at all, my dear. We all remember, and grieve, in our own ways. I’ve often found myself intrigued by skulls, of all sorts,” you admitted, sheepishly rubbing the back of your neck with your hand. “All we are, our minds or mayhap our souls, contained in one hard shell. It’s incredible, and terrifying, all at the same time, to hold one in my hands, or even merely examine one. Oh, what stories these bones could tell, if only they could talk… Though I suppose there are entire fields of science devoted to such a thought…” With that said, you look back at Bela just in time to see her staring fondly at the canine skull. Then she places it back on its perch, dusting her hands off afterwards, taking one last moment to appreciate her collection.
“I’m glad you and I agree on this,” she said softly. Once more she’s looking at you, smiling wide. “Now let’s make memories of our own, to hold in our bones forevermore, yes?”

BUCKY’S POV
“Steve, we have to find her.”
“We will, but we need to figure out who has her first.”
“It’s obviously HYDRA.”
“No, it’s not. Y/N was in the army, she’s bound to have made enemies. We’ve called Agent Hill and she’s going to bring in Y/N’s file.”
“Don’t we have a copy of her file?”
“We have the redacted version.”
“What was so bad that they would have to redact her file?”
“You’re guess is as good as mine.”
But as we waited for Agent Hill to show up, I started going through all of the files that we had on HYDRA: any possible locations, known associates, anything that could possibly tell me why they would take Y/N.
Of course, my first thought would always be that they took her because of me. Maybe they took her because we were getting closer or at least I thought we had been…
“Then why don’t you?” I heard her ask me. At first I thought I had imagined it, so it took me a minute to react to her. I looked her in the eyes, looking for any sign that she actually didn’t want this and when I didn’t find anything but hope in her eyes, I  stepped forward, grabbed her face in my hands and moved to kiss her.
But before my lips could reach hers we were interrupted by Steve and Sam walking down the hallway.
She pulled away from me and we both took in a deep breath.
“I’m sorry for yelling at you.” She whispered before she turned and walked away.
I watched her as she walked away from me and it took me a second to realize what I was about to do. I liked Y/N, but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to screw around with what we had.
“So what was that about?” Sam asked, sounding exactly like he was mocking me.
“You guys are seriously the worst.”
I stormed off towards the elevator and tried to push the button for my floor, hoping it would close before Steve caught up to me. But I was wrong.
He walked into the elevator and stood right next to me as the doors closed.
“So…” Steve started.
“I really don’t want to talk about it.”
“I can tell that you really like her.”
“It doesn’t matter if I like her.”
“Why not?”
“Because I’ll never know for sure.” I looked down at my arm and back up at the door. “She doesn’t deserve that.”
“Bucky, there had to be a reason that the numbers never counted down…maybe they didn’t because she hadn’t been born yet.”
“Don’t you think that I thought of that? I’m saying that there’s no way to know, not with this anyway.” I lifted my metal arm so that he could see what I was talking about. The doors opened on our floor and I walked out first, not in the least expecting him to stay in the elevator.
“But you have the numbers and you know the day you met and I’m sure we could even figure out a specific time from the cameras.” He said, catching up to me.
“Steve—”
“And we can look up when she was born from her file.”
“I don’t want to know.”
“You don’t want to know?”
“No. I’ve thought of looking before, I wanted to connect the dots…”
“But?”
“But if she isn’t…my soulmate…I think it would be worse than thinking that she could be. I like Y/N and she seems to like me too, even if she doesn’t like me like that. I just like being around her and now she’s talking to me again, so I don’t want you stepping in and looking into this.”
“What if I said that Y/N was asking about you.”
“Asking what?”
“About you.” I glared at him. “Just simple things, like what you used to be like and what kind of things you liked.”
“She really asked that about me?”
“Yes.”
“Well you’re still not going to change my mind. The only thing I care about is getting to stay close to her, I enjoy her company and I don’t want to do anything to jeopardize that.”
“Like kissing her?”
“That was heat of the moment and not that I didn’t want to, but it could have confused things. She means too much to me, so we’re going to keep things the way they are…right?”
“Whatever you say.”
“Thank you.”
The next time I saw Y/N we didn’t speak of the kiss…the almost kiss. So instead we completely ignored any feelings and spent the next couple of months becoming close friends.
We never argued again, at least not like we did. We fought over things, but more like where to go out for lunch or who was the better driver. And getting over our deepest secrets seemed to have made us more comfortable around each other because we told each other everything. Neither of us held anything back.
That being said, it was very easy for me to fall in love with her. I know that I had told Steve that I just wanted to remain friends with her, but every time I spoke to her or saw her smile or made her laugh, it was like my heart grew a little more for her, like it was trying to make more room to love her more. And it was driving me absolutely insane.
I just wanted to touch her, to hold her, do anything but sit there and wish that I could. But I would never tell anyone this, especially Steve. And unfortunately not Y/N either.
I sat and stared at the screen, I had pulled up my file…seeing if maybe there was someone to cross both of our paths. But the longer that I stared at the pictures of what I had done, the longer I spent convincing myself that this was my fault, that I didn’t deserve someone as good as Y/N.
“Don’t do that to yourself.” I heard Steve say from behind me.
“Do what?”
“Blame yourself.”
“I don’t care what’s in her file, I know that this was HYDRA and I know that I’m involved somehow.”
“If you are then you know that, if I let you go to rescue her, it could be a trap.”
“If you let me?”
“I have to consider things, like the fact that I know you would give yourself back to them if it meant getting Y/N back.”
“No I would just kill them all.”
“Bucky, if that’s what you plan to do than I really can't—”
“Steve, I wasn’t serious.”
“Well don’t say things like that then.”
“I am very serious, though, about getting Y/N back, so I would advise that you don’t pull me off of this.”
“Bucky—”
“Don’t Steve.”
“Fine. I just came to tell you that Agent Hill should be here now.”
“Great, let’s find her.”
I followed Steve into the conference room where the whole team now sat, Agent Hill at the head.
“Let’s get started.” She said, handing out copies of Y/N’s unredacted file.
“Sergeant First Class Y/F/N Y/L/N. Born in Y/C/N, Y/S or C/N on September 21, 1989. She enlisted when she turned 18 and has been in the army until about 3 years ago, when she was honorably discharged. When she got back to the states, she had a few jobs, but none of them stuck and she never had a permanent address after she returned. A year later she reenlisted and was immediately deployed overseas. Now, the event to lead to her final discharge and quite possibly the reason she was taken. Her last mission, was an eight month stay in Vietnam. Now, I was able to get most of her file cleared up but this mission is top secret, it was even need to know to Y/N’s unit which is why she got all those cool moves, because they had so much free time waiting for orders.” We all smiled a bit thinking about how awesome Y/N’s moves were. “So unfortunately I don’t have all of the details, but I do know what happened. Y/N and her unit were ordered to storm a warehouse that was believed to have connections to a terrorist’s cell. But when they got inside it turned out to be a group of HYDRA agents. Unfortunately they shot and killed any of the soldiers who resisted, then relocated the remaining soldiers and tortured them. We had been notified of the kidnappings and the belief that HYDRA had been involved so we sent in Tony, Wanda, and Clint to aid in the rescue of her unit. When they got there Y/N was the only survivor and barely at that.” Flipping through the files there were tons of pictures of what she had looked like after she had been rescued. I tried my hardest to be objective, to work this mission like every other one but seeing her like that, barely breathing and beaten so bad to cause them to put her in a medically induced coma, it just broke my heart.
“So what? HYDRA’s mad that one soldier was rescued despite the fact that they brought down an entire military elite squad? No they don’t think like that, they do things by the big picture. Y/N was one soldier.” I said, clearly upset.
“I wasn’t finished. We all know Y/N, she’s a fighter. That being said, they planned on killing her with everyone else. But she found a way out, was making a run for it and she killed a HYDRA agent in the process. They got to her before she could completely escape and they kept her alive so that they could avenge the guy she killed.”
“But we can’t assume that HYDRA just randomly found out where she was and decided to take her now.” Steve commented.
“Yes we can. She killed one of them, they don’t leave any loose ends.” I confirmed.
“Then we also have to assume that this was a way for them to get you back. You’re a loose end too.”
“Did Y/N have any other enemies, beside HYDRA?” Tony asked, stopping the banter between us.
“No. She was one of the best soldiers, she was highly decorated and she was respectable to everyone.”
“Y/N can have a short temper, maybe she upset someone.” I wanted to believe that this wasn’t HYDRA despite every alarm in my head telling me that it was.
“You know, she’s only like that with people she likes.” She smiled at me and everyone else kind of snickered.
“This isn’t about me. We need to focus on finding Y/N. If she’s with HYDRA and they did all of this to her the first time, then it’s bound to be worse this time.”
“Well they may keep her alive if they want you to come for her.”
“Let’s hope so.”
I grabbed my file and left the conference room, not wanting to talk about HYDRA anymore. But what I had missed was Agent Hill telling the team that she knew a few new possible locations in the states. It wasn’t the surest process for locating a missing Agent but we figured that if they were trying to draw me out, they wouldn’t be hiding very hard which meant they were probably close. It was a hunch, but it was better than sitting around.
So we all climbed into the jet and headed to the closest location on the list. WE didn’t have much of a plan other than get in and get out as fast as possible. I don’t think that anyone had been in the mood to wait any longer, not with HYDRA’s reputation.
I sat in the back of the jet, furthest away from everyone, trying to keep my mind off of those pictures, off the way they had found her before. I think that everyone could feel how nervous I was because as long as we spent in that jet, no one came up to me not even Steve.
We landed right outside of what looked like an abandoned building, but knowing too much about HYDRA, I knew that once we got inside we would find a sophisticated operation. So we split up into teams and took separate sections of the building, promising to notify the other teams if we had found anything. So Steve and I walked around the building, making sure to check all of the rooms, even if they were locked and avoiding all HYDRA personnel or taking out any we couldn’t.
“Hey Steve, I think we’ve got something.” We heard Nat say over her com and we rushed off to where Nat and Wanda were assigned.
As we got closer to their area we could see exactly where the “sophistication” stopped and the old abandoned building continued. The rooms down here looked a lot like operation rooms, which was strange since this building looked nothing like a hospital. Nat and Wanda had taken out the few Agents who had been guarding the area, which gave us free reign to check all of the rooms knowing full well that this type of space would be exactly where the would keep prisoners. So we checked all of the rooms until I came across the only one that had been occupied.
Then the whole world seemed to slow down…
I stood in the doorway, obviously seeing her strapped to the chair.
I tried to unsee the things that they had done to her. I closed my eyes, hoping to get the image out of my head, but when I opened them again, she was still there, looking just as beaten as before. The room was empty, she was alone.
I tried to say something, I tried to open my mouth to let the others know, but it was like my lungs didn’t work anymore, it was like I had forgotten how to breath. It felt like forever, but air filled my lungs once again and where function lacked, pain and fear took over.
I tried moving towards her but it felt as if my femur no longer fit in the Acetabulum, my humerus no long rolled in the glenoid cavity, like I was just a torso, with no way to move. It was like I had ghost limbs, a feeling that I had come too familiar with what seemed like a million years ago.
I tried to think of someway to help her, you would think that after seventy plus years of elite training, I would know what to do. But my brain was stuck in an endless loop of what ifs and pictures of what had happened before.
I tried to feel… but my heart stopped.
I tried to hear something coming from her, a breath, a sign of life. But the only thing I heard was someone calling after me or someone trying to get my attention.
And in that moment, I snapped back to reality, where everything was a lot faster and wasn’t in second by second snapshots.
“Bucky!” I heard Steve yell from where he stood next to Nat and Wanda.
I looked at them and when I saw the concern on their faces it was as if everything that had just happened to me vanished and the only thing that mattered was getting Y/N to safety.
I walked over to the chair and took in a deep breath pushing down all of the reservations and terrible thoughts flying through my head.
“Y/N?” No response. I looked at her…really looked at her. Most of the skin that I could see was badly bruised and they must have been looking for some information because she had a few broken fingers.  Honestly I had expected worse, which made me suspicious…
Steve and Nat started to remove her restraints and I moved to pick her up, putting my metal arm under her neck and my flesh hand under her knees.
“No, no, no!” I tired to pick her up, but she fought against me. So instead of picking her up, I just pulled her into my arms and keeping her as close to me as I could without hurting her.
“Y/N, hey it’s me.” I said right into her ear, where she would hear me. “I’m here to take you home. You’re safe now.”
“Bucky?” She whispered. I don’t think she was able to see me but she could hear me.
“You’re safe now.” I went to pick her up again but this time she let me and then we walked out of the room and towards the front of the building where we would get back on the jet. We tried our hardest to avoid people, go through the places that the team had already cleared that way we knew that no people of importance had been notified of an attack or rescue.
Y/N buzzed in and out of consciousness and yet she was trying her hardest to tell me something.
“Stop.” I stopped walking and looked at her, giving her a minute to respond. The team stopped as soon as they saw I had. “Bucky…wait it’s a trap.”
“I know.” I said, finally coming to terms with what was most likely going to happen when we tried to step out the front doors.
“Then why’d you come?”
“I couldn’t leave my girl behind.”
The thing about this mission that had me thrown off was the fact that there was no other prisoners in the building except for Y/N. If this had been an actual HYDRA facility the place would have been crawling with Agents and they would have been doing terrible experiments to people and we would have had a lot harder time getting in.
I know that they must have had a plan, they wouldn’t have just let her go unless they had a plan and not knowing that plan made me all the more nervous.
I decided to push away those thought for now and just worked on getting Y/N back to the jet.
As we got closer to the jet, more and more Agents made their way to us and it started becoming harder to fight off the advances. At least with just the four of us.
Tony, Clint, Sam and Vision found there way into our fight which gave me the perfect opportunity to make a break for the jet.
I got to the jet and saw Agent Hill standing at the entrance waiting for me to bring in Y/N. I climbed up the ramp and laid Y/N down on the bench and she started to look at Y/N to see if there was anything that couldn’t wait to be addressed.
But as we sat there trying to help Y/N we both had been completely oblivious to the man that was behind this all climbing onto the jet.
“I knew you would come for her.” I quickly turned to face the man who had a gun pointed at us, using my body to shield both Agent Hill and Y/N.
“What do you want?”
“You.”
I looked at the man’s face as closely as I could. I felt like I had met him before, it wasn’t a long shot that I had, but he was dressed as a scientist and god knows there were plenty of those operating on me at any given point.
“I did all of this to draw you here, I saw you in New York…with her. I had to get you here, to my lab.”
“Are you part of HYDRA?” I asked, not completely convinced now that this guy was actually one of them. As much as I wanted to believe the guards were, they were a little too easy to take down, where HYDRA would have had them trained better.
“They never believed me when I told them that I could draw out the Winter Soldier. But I was going to find you, even if it was the last thing I ever did.” I took a good look at the man as he talked about something that I stopped listening to, I think it was something about HYDRA but I noticed what may have caused Y/N kidnapping.
“You’re an amputee.” I said, interrupting him. I saw the signs of a limp as he moved around, pacing out of nervousness.
“Yes. I want to replicate the science of that arm. I broke into Stark Industries, I tried to take the one that you didn’t need anymore, but I failed. So I reached out to a member of HYDRA, knowing that they would have the file I needed. Of course they thought I was crazy saying that the only person who could replicate the mechanics of that arm was dead.”
“But you weren’t convinced and you made a plan to draw me out.”
“And you’re here.”
Ignoring the gun that he had pointed at what just seemed like me, I stalked him and wrapped my metal hand around his throat, suspending him in the air.
“You took an innocent women, beat and tortured her, because you wanted the technology behind an arm that has killed hundreds of people? You have played around with HYDRA and you have messed with my friends—”
“Bucky…put him down.” I heard Steve say. I looked over at him as the rest of the team stood behind him. I dropped the man and moved his gun far enough away from him so that he couldn’t hurt anyone. And then I let the rest of the team take over so that I could go back over to Y/N.
Agent Hill put the scientist in handcuffs and was planning on taking him somewhere once we got back to New York. The team every so often would come to check on Y/N but nothing had changed since we had gotten her on the jet.
It didn’t take us long to get back to the facility and where we landing, it looked like there was a small group of medical help waiting for us so they could help Y/N. But as we got the doors open and we’re planning on moving her, Y/N grabbed my hand and started to whisper something. I moved closer to her so she didn’t have to work so hard to tell me what she needed to say.
“27:08:23:14:36.” She said with no problem at all.
But the only thing I could think of as they came into the jet, placed her on the stretcher and rolled her off to the medical ward, was how did she know my numbers?
