Here’s a place that is near and dear to my travelling heart ❤️ Marathon, Ontario where Pebble Beach is located. 🚙

I came upon this beauty of a place by accident. Back in the day when my kids were little my parents would road trip out here to Manitoba, stay for a visit, and then we’d all get in their car and travel back to Toronto. ⭐️ .

We stopped at some really cool places doing that trip. Places like Fort William Historical Park and the Terry Fox Monument, Sudbury Science North, White River, Sault Ste Marie Locks, Lake Superior Provincial Park to name but a few ... .

.

Then one year I had an idea to drive straight through to Marathon and stay there. My dad found out their was this cool beach called Pebble Beach that had these egg type rocks. All the rocks from big to tiny were egg shaped and smooth. .

.

When we drove up to the parking lot it was instant love at first sight .... the views were spectacular, the sounds of the crashing waves were like music 🎶 and the smell was just so intoxicating. .

.

After that first visit back about 10 years ago I’ve been back every drive since. 🚙 I can’t drive past without stopping to walk down on that beach 🏖

I always carry a piece of that place with me in my two necklaces .... little pebbles from the beach where I love to be ☀️ ⬇️

Cars !!! 🚙

We all have our favourites. We all have ones we’d never buy .... Cars get us to and from so many places, take us on trips, Doctor’s appointments, visits to friends and so many more places ☀️ Oh and don’t forget work lol 😆

Some have sunroofs, some have window tinting, two doors, four doors, blue, grey, red, black .... My trusty Focus has been with me awhile, been on some great road trips too !! My dream car is a nice dark blue Ford Mustang - loaded .... or a 1969 Dodge Coronet 🚘

During my travels every summer across Lake Superior’s North Shore I always stop at Agawa Crafts and the Canadian Carver. It’s become a tradition in my travels... 🚙 ... BUT the past years the store has been closed. It was sold and the new owners have not re-opened yet 😢 I’m really, really hoping the store is open on my return trip home 🏡 .

Two years ago my eye caught a really cool umbrella by the check out counter .... it was a Croatian Umbrella. Having a good portion of Croatian blood in me I couldn’t resist and picked it up to find out more ....

This umbrella intrigued me so I googled it. Made in Zapresic, Croatia 🇭🇷 this umbrella is made with handmade care in a factory that employs mostly women who are underprivileged and need work. 👍😀
