have a silly little kaebedo regression drabble, all kaeya knows is that this helps albedo feel better, and absolutely nothing about the age stuff other than “oh he acts a little like klee”

if this gets, like, 10 or more notes, i’ll write it properly into a fic, but for now? enjoy :D

\\ Albedo hadn't wanted to go to the angel's share to be entirely honest. But he also knew that if Kaeya knew he was closer to 9 years old than 21, he wouldn't have even suggested it. He supposed it was his fault they were there, so he was content with it. Abesntmindedly chewing on his lip, they entered the tavern, and made their way straight to the bar.

After greeting Diluc, Kaeya began to order his drink, death in the afternoon(?) as usual, and when Diluc turned to him for his own order, Albedo paused. he hadn't actually been in the angel's share without drinking, and wasn't sure what to get.

Kaeya began talking for him at least, "He won't drink right now, what non-alcoholic options do you have?"

He looked slightly to the side feeling Diluc's eyes on him, watching him, as for a reason as to why he wasn't drinking. Kaeya saw the glance from Diluc and answered for him, a simple response.

"He's fine, just doesn't like drinking while under the refre-regression? I think it's called a regression?"

Diluc quirked an eyebrow, "Age regression?"

Albedo was shocked that the redhead had heard of it, and quickly turned back to face Diluc, jaw slightly agape. Before he could respond, Diluc was continuing, "Yes, I’m slightly familiar with it.” Answering Albedo’s unspoken question, before rounding on his brother. “Kaeya, why are you drinking if you're aware of his regression?"

He recovered from his shock, meekly interrupting the accusation aimed at his boyfriend, "No- um, he doesn't know. Not fully. It's okay Master Diluc."

Making eye contact with Diluc, he smiled weakly, obviously not expecting his secret to be exposed so openly. Diluc's eyes softened ever so slightly, and there was a silent agreement of "I won't ask any questions if you won't" shared between them. It wasn't long before Kaeya had caught onto what they had been saying, interrupting their moment with a loud outburst.

"Hey! I don't know what?"

"Oh it's nothing. Albedo, we have a selection of juices, is there any in particular you'd like?"

“Wh- Diluc! What do you both know that I don’t?!”

Albedo smiled at the dramatics of Kaeya, watching them bicker back and forth.

“I’m impartial to any drink. Is there any you’d recommend?” He questioned, trusting Diluc to make something he’d like.

“More to annoy Kaeya than anything else, how does grape juice with a small mix of strawberry, and pineapple juice sound? On Kaeya’s ever growing tab, of course.”

“Eugh,” Kaeya made a grimacing face, “you and your fucking grape juice.”

“That sounds amazing, Thank you.”

After a short while of Diluc making their drinks, and listening to Kaeya’s pestering about the situation, Diluc had still refused to elaborate other than a “Why don’t you ask Albedo yourself?” They were pushed across the bar, with a piece of paper and a pencil next to Albedo’s. He looked up at Diluc, silently questioning why he had been given those.

“You seem to draw and write a lot. While I have a few of Klee’s books here, I don’t think that’s something you’d like right now. At least not here.” Diluc answered, and Albedo just nodded, mouthing thank you before tucking into his drink. It had been served to him in a tankard instead of a glass, one wide enough for him to get both hands around to keep it steady, but not so heavy he struggled to hold it. The tankard also wasn’t clear, which Albedo thought was a smart decision so he would be able to lie about what drink he had, but was enjoying the juice so much he decided that would be his regular order from now on.

It didn’t take long for the fuzz in his brain to increase, especially when Kaeya started bickering with Diluc again, so he sat back snickering, watching and doodled them arguing while he enjoyed his juice.

Albedo often struggles with chronic pain; leaving him bedridden sometimes, in which he'll call Kaeya to come help him change and do things around his home. which can lead to him regressing ~

While albedo does call kaeya to look after him on particularly bad days, he'd prefer not to. ~

When regressed on bad days all he wants to do is be held and cooed over, in which if kaeya needs to clean up, jean is willing to take care of him, after all; she takes care of another little with chronic pain [diluc] so she knows what to do and how to help! ~

Jean will often start by running the littler a nice hot bath. before brewing him some lemon tea and getting him all diapered and changed and a nice warm bottle of either tea or milk. which will often cause him to settle into his headspace. ~

if he's big enough; he'll use mobility aids if he *has* to, he prefers being carried like a little prince by his dada!

CW: scars/injuries, medical diapers, refusal of regression.

(-LITERALLY he's just the embodiment of the "tall little, short cg" dynamic)

-very small guy, around the headspace age of 1-5.

-has got a 'record' of refusing his headspace for three months. (He likes to brag about it to his CG, despite it not being a good thing.)

-due to his injuries that were obtained during his vigilante period in Snezhnaya, he has to be medically padded. (The first time he was told that, he refused to wear them for a week straight.)

-didn't realise he was regressing until Jean told him that he probably was, and he did some research and decided to try it "just once". (He regresses at least ONCE a week.)

-has one stuffie and it's his childhood stuffed valcon, Vannessa. It's not like he wants more stuffies, she is enough for him!

-main CG is Adelinde (head maid at the winery) as well as people like Kaeya and Jean!

-Jean was the one who introduced him to regression as mentioned earlier, but Kaeya found a crying Diluc while walking home, and he admitted (in babbles, mind you) about his regression, and how wrong it felt.

-kaeya had to tell him otherwise. (We love a supportive brother.)

I think he’s a CG :) he takes care of Sucrose when she regresses, and obviously Klee. She’s his best friend <3 I think he’d also take care of the ragbros when they’re regressed. I don’t think he can regress personally since he’s a construct from chalk, and he was made to be klee’s caretaker basically!!! So :) I like him lots he’s my second main for geo (itto is my main. Lmao)

Normally, Kaeya would go to the tavern to unwind! But when he has his little one to watch over, Kaeya will go home and have some tea instead. He loves listening to little Albedo talk (well...babble) about his alchemy because the way he explains things is so cute and childish! What really relaxes Kaeya though is when Albedo has had enough talking and crawls over to snuggle into his papa's chest for a little nap~

Caregiver Diluc headcanons

+regressors Aether, Kaeya, and Venti

Absolutely it’s alright to send multiple requests at once! The separate part is just for my own peace of mind trying to complete things in an organized manner, especially being a multifandom blog. You did it completely right!

Also I’m answering by this one first because Diluc brain rot is real and I will take any excuse to ramble about him. Okay onto headcanons now :D

~Mondstadts’ resident papa™

~He denies it to the very end about ever caring. The copious amounts of agere gear stored at the Dawn Winery (and the smaller stash at Angel’s Share) begs to differ

~Comes homes more times than not with a little one

~He’s Aether’s main caregiver. Babysits for his brother (who 8 times out of 10 will drag Diluc into headspace along with him- he swears the younger does it on purpose but he has no proof) and for Venti. (At this point he might as well be the bard’s main cg it just isn’t ‘official’)

~Diluc’s babysat Sucrose and Albedo once or twice on the very rare chance that they are both small at the same time

~Aether accidentally called him “Dad” tried to quickly change it to “Diluc” and now it’s a running joke to call him “Dadluc”

Aether: *exists* Diluc: (pulls out adoption papers) Kaeya meanwhile: (resigned to getting another adopted brother)

~Super overprotective

~A little rough around the edges and he has definitely made his little ones cry on accident. Which usually has him freaking out and asking Jean for advice

~Grape juice >>>> apple juice. He claims it’s a healthier alternative. Aether doesn’t care either way as long as it’s in a bottle. Venti will cry once he tastes the drink, calms down after a while. And Kaeya will throw a temper tantrum (and the bottle right back at his brother’s head-)

~Tells the best bed time stories. Mostly of a certain dark knight hero that- no- he has no idea who it is under the mask- hush you’re going to ruin the story

~I have the super cute idea of Diluc babysitting all three regressors at once and them all falling asleep starfished across Diluc in his bed. He’s a living furnace it’s not the little’s ones fault he’s so comfy
