Today the @agnesbluesfest have announce my band as the first act on their 2024 lineup. I’m also the Festival ambassador this year ahead. It’s so easy to spread the word about a town and festival that I love. I’ve made so many friends and memories in Agnes Water and 1770 jamming my guitar 🎸 for several years. In my humble opinion, it’s one of the best blues, roots, and rock festivals in Australia with a fantastic community atmosphere. It’s all about the vibes maaaannnn! Haha 😛 Book your early 🦅 🎟️, tell your friends, and let’s do it all again in 2024! #agneswater #agneswater1770 #agneswaterbluesandroots #agneswaterbeachholidays (at Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival) https://www.instagram.com/p/CpRnW1vy6Ic/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

ESP/ENG . When we decided to travel by car along the #Queensland Coast, several locals told us about what we could not miss. Located in the seaside town of #AgnesWater, it is a beautiful little path through a forest that seems magical. We had seen many images of this place before visiting it, but the truth is that reality exceeded our expectations 🇦🇺🌲🚶‍♀️ . It is a very easy 10 minute walk through thick and lush undergrowth. You will tiptoe through the wetlands until you are completely surrounded by hundreds of paper bark tree trunks and the majestic green fronds of the cabbage palm 🌱🌵🌿 . This short but spectacular takes you into the heart of a very special (and green) type of forest, rarely seen in such pristine conditions. Keep an eye on the butterflies and colorful mushrooms while listening to the calls of the frogs when you pass through their habitat 🦋🌳🌴 (at Paperbark Forest Boardwalk Agnes Water) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNhNPu2gz8c/?igshid=53i39n7hsren

In Loving Memory of Chris Sammut, he was one of four missing crewmen of the trawler 'Dianne', that sank in rough seas off the coast of the Town of 1770 in October 2017 which described as one of the worst maritime accidents in recent Queensland history. Only one man survived. Bodies of two were recovered from the sunken vessel few days after the recovery mission started. Chris Sammut along with other three were never found. . Where I saw this tribute on a branch of a tree, was an amazing place full of ocean breeze that soothed my inside. But, in the same time...thinking of the families of the victim of this tragedy saddened my heart. I tried my best to pretend to be a happy sightseer but I took photos of these flowers because I knew I will write something about it one day because it caught me, no matter it was just for few moments. . #moment #1770 #agneswater #Queensland #tragic #agony #travelphotography #natgeophotographer #natgeoyourshot #australia #history #maritime #wahidadnan #fujifilmxe1 #flower #tribute #condolence #traveldiary #travelog #everydayeverywhere #accident (at The Town of 1770, Queensland) https://www.instagram.com/p/B47kKgjncd3/?igshid=7kfbfzmnqhfn

Agnes Water, my little paradise.
I was so happy to be back at this place that I started crying while walking on the beach. I just love Agnes Water, if you get the opportunity to go to Australia, just give it a shot.

➖➖➖➖ #abordodelmundo #travelawsome #viajaresvivir #travelbloggersvibes #viajarporelmundo #nomadlife #quetalviajar #agneswater #exploringtheworld #visitqueensland #thetravelwoman #viajaresvida #vueltaalmundo #thisisqueensland #igtravellers #catalanspelmon #ilusionviajera #australianroadtrip #buscablogs #blogdeviajes #trotamundos #mondofotodelmes #quieroviajar #vivirviajando #viajandoporelmundo (en Agnes Water) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0OCyPLB5xB/?igshid=7oo7cc2j3ie4

Vanlife, Surfing and a police incident..
Already two weeks gone sincewe arrived in Aussie land. Time really flies but we enjoy every second experienced in this country. There's a huge diversity of things to do, to see, to make and to experience. The last seven days we travelled from Cairns down the east coast towards Brisbane. We haven't yet reached our goal, but soon will be. We're now in Hervey Bay to get some free wifi once again and to book a tour to fraser island. Speaking of wifi: It really really is difficult in Australia to get some good internet connection. There are a few restaurants or malls that offer free wifi but that is either qualitively bad or it is limited by time or by data used. In the worst and in my experience most case it is both of it. Malls offer the best wifi as far as I can see. So what have we done the in the last week.. we drove approximately 1400km in our Henry so as you can see we took our time. We've see a lot of waterfalls, we met a lot of Germans (honestly how many are they, they're everywhere?!) and we went swimming in the sea the first time in Australia. Okay not really the first time, since we've been to Palm Cove above Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef. But it was the first time without beeing threatened by leathal stingers or covered by nets the government put on to protect swimmers against crocodiles. It was the first real beach experience and it was great. We arrived two days ago in a little town called Agnes Water which is located beside 1770. Yes this town's name is really those four digits and we found that quite cool since this is the date Lt James Cook landed on Australia in this very spot. Agnes Water is a nice place to swim and to surf, that't why we went there. We arrived in the afternoon and met a cool German group again by coincidence we got to know two days before. We decidee to sleep at the beach this night. It's actually prohibited to do so, but we found we'd take the risk. We packed our sleeping bags, waterbottles and flashlights and made ourself confortable in the sand. It was a really stunning moment to lie on the beach, besides palm trees, underneath the shining nightsky and hearing the ocean's waves breaking on the coast. It took some time to just enjoy this precious moment until i fell asleep.. I woke up to people chatting and bright flashlight burning my eyes. It was midnight. The police drove down the beach by their jeep and they found us sleeping. My first thought was now we're done, since there's a 300$ fine threatened for sleeping on the beach. Police in Australia seems to also habe the vibe we so love in this country. The officer just meant that they 'really couldn't let us sleep on the beach'. Since we didn't have any other accomodation they even explained us where we can freecamp with our van on a place 'where the police wouldn't be' he said. I love it, this cool vibe from down under. The next day was our premiere in surfing. Lucky for us the German dudes already went surfing the day before so they showed us the basics. We hired boards for 15 dollars and dove in. Surfing is quite exhausting I quickly found out. The waves weren't that good on this day but every now and then we caught a good one. It was really fun and i really felt it. The sun shone pretty badly this day and since the surfshop closed at two we had to surf during noontime. We obviously burnt ourselves but it was worth it. So that's a few highlights we had this last week. To describe everything I could fill books but these were some of the coolest one. Next on tap will surely be fraser island and afterwards we head more southern towards Brisbane. See you guys soon 🙂🤙🏼

My East Coast trip is on its last third and the time so far has been just very troubled, though exciting. After my Castaway ( http://www.1770castaway.com.au )trip initially being cancelled, due to a horrible plane accident with one deceased person a couple of weeks before my dates, my spirits were lifted again by the message that the trip was still going to happen. Quickly I realized that I was going to be on one of the first trips after the crash, which had me concerned about the atmosphere of the trip. The Survivor trip is based on the movie "Castaway" and simulates three days of being marooned on a small island having to fend for oneself. After a couple pro and con thoughts I found myself convinced to go, which was the best decision to make. Sergio, our guide and Bruce, our pilot where the two that were directly involved in aiding at the crashs site, at which they did a heroic job. Without a doubt both of them are some of the strongest and most interesting personalities that I have ever met. They allowed us to ask any questions that we had, explained and most importantly made my/our trip one of the best I have ever had. The three day tour allowed us to fish, kayak, sand dune surf, go hiking, swim... hell, I even speared a stingray. It was truly a blast and I think the group in return lifted the crews spirits by showing respect for their work and passion and being thankful for all their energy. My heart today is with the families of the affected and with every one involved. Also a big thank you! to all the Castaway crew!
