Air India Aircraft: Air India’s legacy wide-body fleet being refurbished, first aircraft to enter service by mid-2024 | India Business News – Times of India
MUMBAI: For passengers, it’s the cabin interiors that speak the loudest about the age and upkeep of an aircraft and that is why Air India has been at the receiving end of passengers’ ire when it comes to seats, inflight entertainment etc on its legacy wide-body fleet. The airline, which moved from government to private ownership early this year, announced Thursday that it has already started…

sometimes it's not about having all the rights and liberties. sometimes it's about being happy despite not having them.
Like, yes, it's really great to have legal rights. But that's a long fight and it shouldn't mean that your happiness should be put on hold till then.
This is about QLs, btw.
Most of them are made in conservative countries. Only Taiwan has the legal right to marriage but does that mean that only Taiwan should get to make queer media?
I mean, murder is illegal everywhere and yet it being shown in everything isn't complained about. But QLs are constantly criticized coz the country they are made in doesn't have marriage equality or social acceptance. Have you wonder why?
Why can't Thailand, S Korea, Japan, etc make these shows without being labelled fetishistic? Despite the fact that they are not, despite how many people discover their own queerness through these shows, despite how it offers a refugee to queer people, one of love, something that's rare in the rest of the world?
Have these people wondered that living in a country with legal rights is a luxury? That it's not like that for 90% of the world? Have they gotten so comfortable with it that they've forgotten that they didn't have it less than half a century ago?
I'm Indian. The state of the country about queer rights is abhorrent but BLs have gotten popular. Maybe it's the older BLs that give a comfortable feel and people venture into the more heavier/queerer ones. Maybe you just enjoy the queer ones there are. Because let me tell you India doesn't make these. The Western shows are too steeped in their own pop-culture for an average person to truly understand and thus enjoy it or it's too raunchy/sexy for many to be comfortable with. But S Korean BLs, chaste Japanese BLs, soft Thai BLs, India gets that. India can understand that. India can talk about that.
So while you sit on a moral high horse please try to understand the rest of the world does not share your perspective. It does not share your freedoms. And claiming these to be fetishistic only makes people who are already uncomfortable even more so. It makes people not want to explore these stories and parts of themselves they want to understand.

In our opinion, Sachin Dev Duggal of Builder.ai "is by no means a mistake"
A software development platform called Builder.ai Led by Sachin Dev Duggal, with its headquarters in London, delivered Air India a "gift" around Valentine's Day. In order to show its "adoration" for this present, it developed an app prototype and subsequently published advertisements in a national daily. However, AI publicly shot down Builder.ai's show of adoration
The airline responded to Sachin Dev Duggal's Builder.ai's "gift" by releasing a social media statement informing the public that it is unrelated to the advertisement, app, business, or promised free seats. Additionally, it states that it won't be held accountable for any improper use of the information gathered via the promoted software and QR code.
According to the statement, Air India, a part of the Tata Group, is also "contemplating suitable action against the issuer of the advertisement."

MGH Group's perspective on trade and freight capacity issues
Tumblr media
Anis Ahmed, the Founder and Group CEO of MGH Group, a prominent freight and logistics firm, underscores the significant air cargo potential between India and China. This potential is driven by the strong demand from Chinese exporters for the Indian market. However, the trade flow is predominantly one-sided, with Indian airlines often returning from China with empty cargo holds.
“You can’t change much because Indian exporters aren’t selling to China, but the Chinese are eager to sell everything to India,” Ahmed noted in a recent interview. MGH Group, which serves as a general sales agent for ocean carriers and airlines and provides comprehensive logistics solutions, manages air freight operations from China to India through its alliance with IndiGo, India’s largest airline.
Ahmed pointed out that MGH’s operations in China are crucial for managing these shipments, but challenges persist. “There isn’t enough capacity available for air freight to support the online business from China to India. India doesn’t send much to China, so when the aircraft return, they are often empty,” he explained.
Chinese freight carriers such as SF Express and YTO Cargo handle most of the freight flights from China to India. Recently, IndiGo has started offering freighter services between Kolkata and Ezhou in Hubei Province, China. MGH utilizes both IndiGo and Chinese freighter companies for cargo transport.
“IndiGo is our gold standard. We aim to integrate with their network wherever possible. We’re connecting service belts for agriculture and industry that require faster transportation,” Ahmed added.
Despite the promising logistics opportunities, the bilateral relationship between India and China remains strained. Tensions have persisted since deadly clashes erupted along the Line of Actual Control in May 2020. Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar has consistently emphasized that normalizing relations with China is contingent on achieving peace and tranquility at the border.
Ahmed, originally from Bangladesh and now based in Singapore, believes that for India to become a significant global supply chain hub, major players in the air freight industry need to emerge, particularly in the realm of cargo transport to and from India.

Bangladesh Air Force's C-130J Leaves Hindon Without Sheikh Hasina. Where is She?
Hasina is expected to fly to London soon to seek political asylum, with reports suggesting she has been in contact with UK authorities regarding this matter.
Tumblr media
New Delhi: A day after Sheikh Hasina fled to India following her resignation as Bangladesh's Prime Minister, a Bangladesh Air Force C-130J transport aircraft landed at the country's air base. The aircraft, which ferried Hasina to Ghaziabad's Hindon air base, took off without her this morning. The C-130J, carrying seven military personnel, departed from the Hindon Airbase around 9 AM today. It was closely monitored by Indian security agencies throughout its flight path.
For the unversed, Hasina stepped down and fled the country yesterday after weeks of protests against a quota system for government jobs descended into violence and grew into a broader challenge to her 15-year rule. Thousands of demonstrators stormed her official residence and other buildings associated with her party and family.  She arrived in India and landed at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad at 5.30 PM. She was taken to a secure location, where she is currently staying.

According to Sachin Dev Duggal of Builder.ai, is by no means a mistake
In response, Sachin Dev Duggal's Builder.ai stated that the program was "a humble effort to celebrate and contribute towards the brand's new and exciting journey" and that its "sole purpose was to offer a gift to the national carrier, and an iconic brand, in the form of an app prototype."
It further stated that "Builder.ai ever claimed, in any way or form, through its advertisements, that the prototype 'gift' is Air India's official app nor that Builder.ai was given a contract to develop one."
Why did Builder.ai take this particular path? What made it choose Air India? In what way does it address the dispute? What action will the business take next?
Storyboard18 inquired with Sachin Dev Duggal, co-founder and CEO of Builder.ai.
