Kiss, kiss baby: 2021/07/10 & 11 - Saturday & Sunday

It is already late. So late that the next morning is much too close, as fast as time goes by. Atsumu and Hinata try to convince Sakusa to drink a few cocktails, Bokuto has already drunk a lot and dances closely with Akaashi, and doesn’t want to let him go. But no one cares how close they are, you all are happy to celebrate Kita's birthday, your friends win and also the time with your friends.

Aran and Kita sit at the bar, watch everything with satisfied faces while they are slightly drunk, like all of you, and talk about the old times. Akagi and Suna pretend to dance, but they only watch you and Osamu with conspiratorial looks. Because the two of you move your bodies to the music almost as if you’re glued together. Osamu's hands brush over your waste, your hands around his neck.

You realize that you’re getting easier with your moves. You’re losing your inhibitions because of all the alcohol you’ve been drinking. Osamu also has a few drinks, but he doesn’t really care about his condition. You’re all having a good time and he really enjoys celebrating with all his beloved friends. Due to his ex Watanabe, he couldn’t do stuff like this in the last few years. But that was the past.

First with a distance, now almost completely without, you continue dancing together. You feel how Osamu touches your hand, pulls you towards himself and past him, seducing you into a rather less elegant spin. By the fast spin you lose your balance, suddenly find yourself on Osamu’s broad chest, his arms wrapped tight around your waist while he's stroking your lower back lovingly. And suddenly the entire room feels warm, the music falls silent and you just hear your own quick beating heart. Or is it Osamu’s heart, knocking loud against your cheek? You can’t say.

Like a deer in the spotlight, you look up to him, thinking that the alcohol floats through your face to your cheeks for a blink of an eye, but Osamu just laughs. You are so cute when you look at him like that. In general, you are pretty and stunning today, he thinks. It must be the alcohol that makes his heart the ruler of his mind right now, because in his head, too many things are going through that are not appropriate.

It just feels too common to hold your small body in his arms, to smell your sweet scent, to kiss your lips shining through your lip gloss... How they would taste? He would love to try it out. Would you push him away if he... His laughter falls silent as he leans forward towards you, takes one arm from your waist to pull your chin up to him. He sees how you close your eyes before he comes dangerously close to your lips, as the last bit of rational mind still active in him keeps him from making a mistake. Instead of giving you the kiss he would so much like to steal from you, he tilts his head so that his lips are now close to your ear. What did he thought... He can't just kiss you, that would have been wrong.

“We should get some fresh air. It’s pretty warm in here, don’t ya think?”

Embarrassed, you open your eyes, feel like an idiot, and hope that Osamu has not seen that you have already prepared yourself for a kiss. You nod, barely visible, look to the side as he takes your hand casually and goes out with you. Followed by Suna, who together with Atsumu was probably the most sober, as the two had offered themselves to drive the men to the hotel or home later. Suna notices his eyes getting tired and that he needs to catch some air to stay awake, not noticing that he wasn’t the only one thinking about going outside.

Once outside the store, Osamu and you take a deep breath, start laughing at each other at the same time for no reason, and look into the other person’s eyes. It just feels so natural being here with him, laughing with him about nothing. Even if your chest feels heavy.

“It’s a fun night, isn’t it?” Osamu suddenly asks, scratches his neck and leans against the facade of the shop behind him.

“Funny? You mean your surprise for Kita turned out incredibly well, and you did such a good job there! Everyone has fun and Kita seems to be sooo happy as well.” Pouting, you jump in front of Osamu, sway a little to both sides and lean on his arms before you let go of him and look into his dark eyes.

“Funny… The evening is incredibly great and really nice! Everyone is enjoying themselves. That makes me so happy.” You continue your sentence.

For a moment, everything is silent. You only see your own eyes sparkling in Osamu’s pupils when he opens his mouth and moves away from the wall to straighten up.

“Ya know what else is beautiful, incredible and makes me happy?”

“N- no, what?”

“You.” He whispers huskily as the distance to you decreases to the minimum before his warm fingertips touch your cheeks, followed by his lips that taste slightly like beer. You can’t believe what’s happening here, just notice your whole body tingling and your heart almost exploding. The last time you had a feeling like that was a long time ago, but you would always recognize it. It’s the same feeling you had for Yahiko. You fell in love with your boss... again.

But time to enjoy the kiss, to return it and to feel his warmth longer does not remain for you, because Osamu quickly detaches from you, looks at you shyly and begins to hastily utter any words.

“Heh, so sorry. I don’t know what that was about. That was really inappropriate and somehow not what I wanted to do.”

Ouch, a slap in the face. Those were not the words you would have liked to hear from his mouth after such a short but nice kiss. Your chest contracts and you notice how hard it is for your lips to form clean words as you clear your throat and force a smile.

“Oh haha, no’s all right.”

“Well, no… I didn’t mean to… Sorry.”

“Uh yeah, no, so it’s really fine, I’m -”

“Maybe we should go inside again, don’t you think?”

“Yeah…”

Both of you are clumsy with the words. Osamu, more than you as you make your way to the entrance of the store. Just seconds ago, the mood was so good, now it feels so unpleasant and odd. No, you don’t want the evening to end like this. You take a deep breath, clench your hands into fists before calling Osamu’s name in a firm tone. Surprised, he turns around, waiting for you to say your words.

“Even if that wasn’t on purpose, the kiss was really nice.”

Your expression relaxes again now that you’ve said what you thought, even if it’s probably just the alcohol that’s got you talking so freely. You see his shoulders droop in relief before he leads his hands back to yours and unexpectedly gives you a kiss on your forehead, caressing your cheek before he looks you in the eyes.

“Don’t get used to it. That was really stupid of me, sorry. It won’t happen again.”

“O- okay…”

“Let’s go inside.”

Once inside, some of the men are looking at you conspiratorially, while others are still doing what they did before your brief break in the fresh air. If they have seen your kiss with Osamu? No, you stood so far away from the windows that no one could have seen you. Maybe you’re just imagining their looks.

While Osamu strolls to the bar to mix a few drinks for all of you, you sit next to Atsumu, your best friend, who is resting next to Sakusa. The man with raven-black hair has still drunk nothing but his water and a champagne, to toast on Kita. Sakusa is visibly annoyed, but his mood brightens a bit now that you’re here. He can’t say why, but somehow he likes you. The way you talk with him with a proper distance, how you always took Atsumu in his place and that it’s strangely easy to talk with you about random topics.

You talk with them for a long time, celebrate the night while you try to think of anything else than the kiss, drink some more alcohol, which still goes over the tables as the first eyes feel heavy with every blink. You’re not sure, but you think you saw Akaashi stumble over Bokuto and how the two of them lay on the ground for a few seconds, asking Suna for a blanket. This was probably the starting signal for everyone to get ready for the hotel.

Partly alone, partly with help, the men stumble to Suna’s and Atsumu’s car, get in without bumping their heads, which surprises you. From Atsumu’s car you hear Bokuto complaining that you only gave him a short smooch and no kiss on the cheek, like always. Sakusa sits at the front with his mask up, shouts at Atsumu that he should finally hurry because he does not want to spend so long with all the bacteria in a car. Hinata, resting in the back between Bokuto and Akaashi so he doesn’t get sick, is still desperately trying to find the seat belt, while the men sitting in Suna’s car are as quiet as at a funeral. Maybe they’re asleep, you don’t know.

“Hey babe, I’m gonna drive the boys to the hotel and then come back here and pick ya up, okay?”

Atsumu turns to you one last time, looking at your radiant, drunken face. You really are cute when you look like that, he thinks. But you’re always pretty, no matter what you wear or in which state you are.

“Oh, but I wanted to help Samu clean up the store! Erg… Osamu.” You correct yourself and notice how Osamu puts his arm around your shoulder and laughs.

“Told ya Samu’s fine. Stop being so formal. You’re always so casual with Tsumu, I’m his brother.”

“Yeah, because we’re both best friends, ya fool…” Atsumu complains, who pulls Osamu’s arm from your shoulder. “That’s gonna take a while until the boys are in their rooms, anyway. Until then, ya both should be done, right? I like to pick you up, babe.”

“Don’t go to any trouble, Tsumu. I can bring her to you when we’re done. I think a little walk in the fresh air would do us both good, wouldn’t it?” Now he turns to you, nudges you with his elbow, before he looks again to his brother who stares at him skeptically.

“Osamu is right. Don’t worry Tsumu, tomorrow morning I’ll be back in bed in your cosy and fine apartment.”

You giggle and hug your best friend, who mirrors your movement and presses you to his chest. He’s worried, but his brother promised not to do anything to you. He should probably be able to get you home when you’re done, doing nothing stupid.

“Eww ya stink of beer! Don’t you give me a kiss!”

“Awww a little smooch for my Tsumu-boy~!”

“Ew no! Well, okay, fine… Take good care of her, Samu. I’ll see ya in the morning. Don’t clean up for too long.”

Both of you nod to Atsumu, before you wave goodbye to the two cars with all your friends and now stand alone in the shop, which was filled with loud laughter and people before, and is now empty, only the quiet music in the background echoes through the room.

“So where do we start?” You ask, try to turn to Osamu, but hold on to a chair to keep your balance.

“What do you say we celebrate the successful evening a little and then clean up?”

“And how are you going to celebrate?”

With an impish grin, he comes closer to you, leads you behind the bar and then reaches for the last few lime slices and fetches the salt shaker. Grinning, he points at the tequila that stands at the top of the shelf behind the counter.

“What do you think of a little and last drinking game, with tequila, salt and limes? Do you know this game?”

Of course you know this drinking game, and just thinking about playing this game with Osamu makes you feverish. Less than two hours ago, he told you the kiss was a mistake, and now he wants to play such a game? Wait… Did he say it was a mistake? Well, actually, you forgot what he said. You try to focus again, want to give him the answer by taking the liquid in your hands, ready to play. After all, you can't deny that you're curious in your drunken state.

Searching for the bottle, you stretch out your hands, your fingertips already touching the cold glass. Once again you look up at the tequila, trying to get it down on tiptoes, but you can’t get it as you suddenly feel the broad chest of Osamu on your back, his hand at your hip, while the other one embraces the bottle. His lips come dangerously close to your ear. Yet you feel his breath tickling your skin, hear his dark voice making you shudder.

“Ya need help, little one?”

With a fast beating heart, you turn and look him straight in the eye while he is only a few inches away from you. You feel like he just got even hotter and more handsome than he already is.

“L-Let’s start the game.” You stutter, free yourself from his grip on your hip and jump onto the plate of the counter, dangling your legs. Maybe it would have been better to leave with Atsumu when you still had the opportunity. Osamu triggers things in you that might later make you regret staying here and making this dangerous game with him. But now you’re here with him and not with Atsumu.

He studies you, smiles for a glimpse of an eye before he mirrors your motion, sits down on the counter next to you, places the things for your body shot game between you. His long lashes blink before he looks up at you with his dark eyes close to your face, his voice almost husky.

“Then let’s start the game.”

they were honestly shook that you stayed by their chaotic asses after a month-

that’s when they knew you were for real-

Oh how fast time flew by. From only the twins speaking with you comfortably to Suna sending you memes to the rest of the team warming up to you-

Now, it’s training camp time!

The moment you got off the bus, they formed a circle around you until they dropped you off at the manager’s den. You immediately got along well with the other managers; having girl talks and sharing stories of your teams’ shenanigans.

Lunch time was the first time you cooked a whole meal for the team and you were hella nervous. Sure, you made them snacks before but those were snacks- this is a whole ass meal. You shouldn’t have worried though- the moment you had your back turned, Osamu -who entered from nowhere- took one and ate the steaming hot onigiri and had stars in his eyes. He turned to you, “please give me the recipe, y/n-chan.”

“Uhh,” you sweatdropped, “doesn’t your tongue burn, Samu-kun?”

“My tongue has been blessed.”

O…kay.

You both ended up bonding over food and sharing recipes or teaching one another how to perfect a recipe. When the team tried your cooking, they fell in love with you the food. Atsumu jokingly said that you should marry him but quickly took it back the moment he felt the others’ glares on him.

Honestly, you just blend in with the team so well, you’d think you’re an old friend rather than a kidnapped new foreign exchange student turned manager.

Kita is your unofficial big brother- he is there to protect you and give you advice and tips about anything and everything; he helps you study whenever you feel discouraged. He’s one of the numbers on your speed dial for whenever you need him. Aran loves how cheerful and optimistic you are- how you always seem to know what to say to calm them down, hype them up, cheer them up, and just overall care for them. Suna basks in your presence, and shows you his blackmail videos just to make you giggle and laugh. He loves it whenever you’re laughing because of him- he even has a video he saved somewhere of you laughing just because it never fails to make him happy. Akagi is a bebi just like you! Except he can fight a bitch He initiates a lot of your hugs that are a lot compared to the others and ngl they’re bit jealous. Since your homes are close to one another’s, he walks with you to and from school. Omimi is your quiet rock- he’s always there for you and he’s not shy to show his soft side towards you. Ginjima literally memorized your class schedule and made everyone on the team a schedule on who picks you up and drops you off in each class after he heard what some of the twins’ fans said to you. He calmly intimidated shared a few words with them but nonetheless took the precaution to ensure your safety. Yuto and Heisuke help you with your manager duties whenever they can- they always listen to your advice on their play and appreciate all you do for the team. They gift you little snacks and flowers every once in a while as an appreciation gift. And the twins- they basically adopted you. You’re their triplet- they tease you but they will reduce anyone to tears if they try to pull the same shit they do on you. Only they can tease you hmph.

Overall, they’re all very protective of you- you’re their baby vixen after all.
