SEEKING: American Kennel Club light blue snowflake plush dog toy

Hello tumblr! Two years ago, I adopted a 9 year old chihuahua from the shelter. Her name is Cheli and shes now 11 years old.

Her previous owners surrended her to the shelter after having her for 9 years because of a divorce. Luckily, the shelter gave me copies of her previous medical records which included the phone number for the ex-wife (the ex-husband was the one who surrendered her, not the wife.)

When I got in contact with her to let her know I adopted her old buddy and to let her know shes safe with me, she shared a ton of pics and videos of her when she was a puppy. As you can see, my girly girl is quite grey now.

Particularly, she shared with me that Cheli used to love a blue snowflake toy. It was her favorite. Although I provide her with two trunks full of puzzles and toys, I would love for her to have a copy of her old snowflake toy pictured above from her puppy photos.

The wife said the ex-husband threw all her toys away, so it isnt possible to get her original one.

I am offering a $50 bounty to anyone who has this AKC snowflake toy or helps me find a purchaseable active online listing for it. Used or new.

(Already checked the AKC website and as of February 8th 2025, it isnt currently listed.)

A bit of icing on the cake is that today she also:

Got first in Utility (required for OTCH)

4 OTCH Points

A score of 191.5 (highest yet!)

6 OM points

Qualified in Open too which got her a UDX leg

Won high combined!

Mud finally earned a HIT today. It was earned very messily with a scoring dispute and after that he ended up being the only dog with 4 Qs in the level. I feel like we didn't really earn it, but I guess he had to do it messy since his name is Mud. After being disappointed to see he was HIT runner up quite often, I didn't really want to earn it like this. (We even had faults! He's never had faults. Just NQs.)

That said, he genuinely had a great Containers run to finish his Overall Excellent title. It was over 30 seconds faster than second place and was even on the configuration that he usually finds most challenging (grids.) He also needed one more Interior Q to earn his Excellent title, which we got earlier in the day.

Anza also played in Novice B. She Qd 4/4 and got a first in Interior. In the same vein as the last trial, she was 20 seconds faster than second place. She wasted no time getting to the hide. So she got another few Qs towards Elite Novice titles. She's half way to Elites in Buried and Exterior now!

Mud seemed to be taking a long time to source at the show today. I don't know if it's lack of practice the last few weeks or possibly the odor concentration. He's been working lighter odor at shows and in practice because I've been lazy about making new qtips. So I don't know if AKC concentration is like staring into the sun for him right now. I really hope they organize more ASCA trials because honestly I would rather run him on lighter odor more than AKC strength. NASCW is going to be so sporadic for us, so it's not worth keeping him on light odor only for that. I'd just...rather support someone other than AKC in general.

Danny and Mac, Shetland Sheepdogs

Both Mac and Danny get a bath and a good de-shedding brush out. These guys shed a ton! As for trimming, they only get neat feet and a bit of light trimming on their feathering.

The Sheltie originated in the Scottish Shetland Islands, from which they got their name. They were developed from Collies, made smaller and more compact due to the rough climate and terrain of their homeland. 

Shelties are a small dog, not weighing more than 25 pounds, that belong to the Herding Group. They are the 26th most popular dog breed in the US and was first recognized by the AKC in 1911. 

Shelties are extremely intelligent, athletic and biddable, making them wonderful trick and sport dogs. They’re even one of the most popular breeds for agility! 

Very sensitive and in tune with their handlers, they make wonderful, affectionate family dogs as well. Plus, they love to bark, are reserved towards strangers and highly alert so they excel as watchdogs! 

Shelties come in a few colors - black, blue merle, and sable, with varying amounts of tan and/or white markings. Anything other than those colors is considered a fault and brindle is even considered a disqualification!
