The Cat’s Meow

Requested by @askrikkaiandhyotei​ it’s Nijino Akira~!! It’s been like 70 years since I’ve watched ToQger tho so like...this may not be the best lol im sorry

Sunshine and rainbow incarnate finds itself in the lap of a being of shadow, fur caressing his cloth covered thighs and brows furrowing as the creature mewls and purrs within his lap. His hand, large and strong; kissed by the sun that never truly reached him, hesitates above the stomach of the beast. He frowns before looking up at the incoming set of footsteps, a small smile crossing his lips.

“It seems your cat has found me again.”

A laugh left the lips of the mortal who takes their seat beside him, the cat returning to the lap of the owner like it never left - rolling and tolling about, big round eyes promising never to dash off again. “I suppose so, they’ve taken to you quite a bit, Akira.”

He finds it strange that it does, when death hangs about his form like his shadowy follower; a cloak, a stench, meant to be a ball and chain that drags him down into the deep deep darkness forevermore.

The sunlight finally graced his presence when the mortal smiles over at him, a small laugh leaving their lips as their hand caressed the tummy of their pet, the silvery bell jingling with the same mirth. “You know, you should visit more often.” they speak with grace and longing, something that tugs at the strings of a heart that shouldn’t exist. “They like having you here…” their hand finds his on the wooden bench, shy and timid, fingers grazing his. “I like having you here too…”

Akira only smiles, fondly, glancing over at the mortal with a soft scoff. “I don’t see why not.” he liked being here with them, in a place full of light that warms his bones and the cavity within his chest. His fingers lace with theirs, soft, gentle, hesitant, tendrils of doubt seeping into his mind but are soon banished with the bright vivid eyes of the human and their smile that parts the clouds of his heart.

It’s a warm sensation that he would never change or give up.

GODAI YUSUKE... a man full of many talents and a beautiful smile, he doesn't want to fight but has to protect all the smiles, he's a little stupid but not naive and strong hearted i'm just so hopelessly in love with him 😭👍

there are so many good secondaries/extra ranger there is not one i didn't love but hmm..... sakurai yuuto. many thoughts on him that i cannot coherently put down just know that he is Everything to me

10. favorite tie-in?

hmm... i don't have a ton of feelings on the movies bc most just make me go 'okay cool that was a movie i guess' the only ones i have gone back to rewatch are any den-o movies (except for deka) but especially the cho trilogy episodes red and blue aka: my favorite romance movies
