AU where Claire is secretly (part) Akiridion?
Great AU idea!
This is sort of a head canon for the AU, but also sort of just an observation, but have you thought about the fact that Akiridion-5 has a MASSIVE standing army? And an incredibly developed military industrial complex? Kind of implies that they are or were a imperial super power in their corner of the galaxy.
Claire's Akiridion mother was a refugee hiding from the rest of her people for reasons revealed later, but she eventually finds herself on Earth. She knows that forces from A-5 are hunting her and she doesn't want her infant daughter to get hurt. So she hides her core in the body of a human infant, Claire Nunez.
She does a more thorough job of hiding Claire's Akiridion form because she had more time and her ship was undamaged. So Claire and her human family is fully unaware she's part Akiridion. Except her mother implanted a memory and hid what is effectively a time capsule with more info about A-5, Claire's heritage and gives her the ability to switch back and forth.
Claire's mother than leaves Earth and is eventually tracked down. She chooses to detonate her ship so no one can track Claire down. she beams a message back to earth as her final fairwell to Claire in which its implied that the person hunting her mother is Morando.
(Five ideas and it's only the intro!) Claire has this memory that there is something important for when she is in a desperate need, but doesn't do anything with it until Jim goes into the Dark Lands. Then she finds the capsule, sees her mother's message, and unlocks her Akiridion form.
I'd love to info dump some more about this idea, just let me know if you want me to!

Since I robbed the meme and it's only polite - Would you ever write space adventures in space or at the very least Akirdion-5?
Oooooh I’ve never thought about it but that would be really fun! I’m not sure what adventures I would write but I think it would be fun to write something on the culture and society of Akiridion-5 and how it differs from earth.
Hmm definitely something for me to keep in mind

I have written a fan fic of the toa universe last year before the rise of the titans movie had come out or after it.
I now finally feel confident enough to share my current state of it and may add to it in the near future but can't make any promises due to the things that I go thru that I had to call the darkness over time. Things are pretty slowly getting better tho.
Now before I share the actual link!
◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇◇
Just in case one can edit it please don't type anything in there but you can comment on something in there. Also please don't delete anything in there.
There is actually a discord server for the king but it's proseponed until I get better.
Also that server may be used for other things to in the future.

It sorta bothers me that post-series people are still complaining about 3Below being disconnected from the rest of Tales of Arcadia. For me, it was a refreshing break from the densely-packed fantasy lore and an intriguing peek at the way the universe beyond Arcadia and Earth functions. I liked the character arcs and interpersonal connections. And there was ample room for me to come up with a bunch of my own headcanons, which I love! I absolutely love being able to slot pieces of my own mind and soul into an existing world! I don't like shows where I'm told how every little detail works, that's way too much to remember. Instead I want enough to create an idea of the rules and how things might have gone/might continue to go and fill in whatever else I want.
Also, I think 3Below was SUPPOSED to be a lot more connected before Wizards got cut down. Tons of ideas didn't make it into the limited series run- I remember hearing stuff about Mordred being involved, a lost Krel arc, and I'm sure a lot of lore that would have bound the worlds together more closely. When they mentioned Gaylen's core came from Earth, there was clearly supposed to be more to that, but it got cut out. I'm like 93% sure Gaylen was a being who was part of or similar to the Arcane Order, but was drawn to the cosmos rather than to a part of the Earth. That would indicate that Akiridion tech and magic are compatible because Akiridions' energy-based life was initially magical, but those roots were largely forgotten because of how old a civilization Akiridion is. They've been spacefaring since humans were cavepeople. If the Order existed from the primeval dawn of the world, and Gaylen left not long after that, Akiridion could be millenia ahead of Earth. Or, heck, maybe Earth was the first or only livable world, and Gaylen created the Order to look after it before going off to try to find or create life elsewhere. I always headcanoned that Seklos was more powerful than most Akiridions or even the Royals that came after her, given the fact her core alone was enough to stop Gaylen while in the modern era it requires two royal cores. Maybe she was created by Gaylen to be Akiridion's version of an Arcane Order type being, and she created normal Akiridions, which she then had kids with, diluting her power in the Royals that followed. There's so much ancient history to unpack from just the tidbits we were given.
As for the modern era, there seems to very distinctly be a major intergalactic connection. The drunk ship operator in episode 3 of 3b s1 that the Zerons interrogate talks about ship classifications, which indicates a universal or at least an interplanetary system of ship ratings. We also see interplanetary tourism, and signs that Akiridion is one of the most advanced and influential planets out there.
3Below doesn't need to continue the plot of Trollhunters to be a valid part of Tales of Arcadia. It brought an energy to ToA that was somewhere between Star Trek TNG and Babylon 5, and I love how it expands the weirdness of Arcadia. If it was supposed to be a continuation of Trollhunters, they would have made more Trollhunters. But it's not Trollhunters, it's 3Below. And Wizards isn't Trollhunters either! I honestly think that Camelot, Douxie, and the world of wizards could have been written such that the Trollhunters cast was much less focal, and that if they'd given the show the time it needed and deserved to tell its story, it would have been fleshed-out and fascinating all on its own, with or without the TH gang. Where are the magic users beyond the reach of Camelot? Are there merfolk, sirens, harpies, dryads, more dragons, or other sapient races living on Earth with their own civilizations and magic and cultures? There are so many worlds and so many potential stories out there, on Earth and beyond, in the Tales of Arcadia universe. Arcadia just happens to be the narrative meshing point of them all. And I think that's a really cool way to build a universe.
Anyway, thanks for coming to my TED talk, here's more Akiridion development as a treat for making it this far.

I like the recurring theme that Aja and Krel’s parents made decisions that hurt people. It took the “don’t put your parents on a pedestal” and added some angsty steroids basically. Like, these are royals that are presented as people mostly loved by Akiridion-5, and are looked up to by their children, but there obviously are Akiridions that dislike them, maybe hate them, or have been hurt by them. They have made decisions that hurt other planets, and even stood by doing nothing while a genocide was happening. So I think this all adds up to the theme that Aja and Krel are better than them or need to be better than them (especially Aja since she’s the only one who decides to rule). This also makes their parents real people, which is incredibly well done since throughout the show they’re practically dead the entire time. I could go on and on about 3Below, honestly.

Dichotomy
Reason 3678378437824567512 to hate Rise of the Titans: We never got to see a fully trained Steve and Eli fight side by side.
The movie was overall lacking in Creepslayez content. But, I don't think we fully grasp what we were robbed of.
In Wizards, Steve Palchuk was trained in the ways of knighthood by Sir Lancelot. Steve learned to fight well enough that he could take on Gumm-Gumms. He even gained a mystical weapon, for I highly doubt that the Lady of the Lake's tooth does not have magical properties. Steve is the encapsulation of the series' fantasy elements.
For about a year, Eli Pepperjack was on Akiridion-5. Given that he shared a planet with and was close to Aja Tarron and Varvatos Vex, it is safe to assume he would have received some Akiridion soldier training from the best of the best, willingly or not. He would also definitely ask for his own serrator. He was well respected on the planet. His designs for a gigantic robot were used. When he came back to earth he was even wearing Akiridion clothes. Eli is the encapsulation of the series' sci-fi elements.
If they, as the Creepslayerz, fought side by side during the events of the movie, it would have been a beautiful representation depicting the meshing of the series' rather juxtaposed sci-fi and fantasy elements.
We were robbed.

Okay, I have never done anything like this before, But I need to get this random thought out of my system. Small analysis and thoughts of color theory in tales of arcadia:
Tumblr media
I really like Gaylen Krel concept and here is a little speech about why I think it would be interesting with a very vague concept of color theory (it's actually just my my totally altered perception of reality and boredom).
(An apology if anything here sounds weird, English is not my first language).
I do not think it is necessary to say that this has spoilers for the entire saga of tales of arcadia if you haven't watched it
Tumblr media
So, there you have, the 3Below squad, as akiridions, all of them are basically blue, all equal, nothing to say here, this is clear, BUT- I think something interesting happens when they are in their human desguise: the predominant color is red.
In Aja it is easy to see this in her shirt and shoes, the only blue element is her jeans, For Varvatos it's a little less obvious, but both his shoes and his jacket are also red (His pants are a kind cream color (?), which like red are warm colors, the only cool color element is his shirt), and then we have Krel, basically all his color palette is blue, cold colors, The only red element is his shoelaces, which is hard to notice.
And just like fun fact, like, BRO- even the dog is designed in warm colors 🙃
It seems to me that this could represent a bit how difficult it is for them to fit in being themselves (?)
Another extra parenthesis, I find it curious that in the TOA saga the blue color palette predominates in characters that are "not-human at all", Like Jim who becomes a troll, or Douxie who's a 900 years old wizard.
And it seems to me another important detail that Claire and Toby represent a little about this dynamic of cold and warm colors.
Toby is orange and red, warm colors = human.
Claire is purple, closer to red, but still cold= normal human but a wizard (a kind of transition?)
Together, The path of the chromatic circle represents how they move away from being human. You can check this here:
Tumblr media
Douxie does not seem to have any predominant color temperature, this may be because he wants to go equally unnoticed in both worlds, but the detail is in his eyes, normally his eyes are amber (yellow, warm color) but when he uses magic they become blue like his magic itself.
Anyway, I don't want to stray too far from the topic.
It's been a long time since I watched the serie, But I think we even have a whole chapters on that topic. Aja even with problems at the end it fit quite easily as a human, For Varvatos, socializing is a weirder experience, but in the end he has his thing with Nancy and is quite accepted among the other older adults, But we get a whole episode of Krel feeling bad because he doesn't think anyone will remember him, because he never quite fit in.
Long short story if you already see the serie, no much what to say on that, good ending to everyone.
Well, no, I have something to say: Aja although she tried hid in the human red, in the end she fully accepts her responsibility and decides to live in the blue that she was born, while Krel, Despite being the most insistent in wanting to have his life back in Akiridon-5, Krel who lived in his eternal blue, in the end he decides to embrace that little red detail that he always had in himself.
I think you may be getting my point: For them being blue is actually good, because at the end they are not human, And they proudly show their true colors, and they actually do it in a very literally way jjsjsj
BUT-
Tumblr media
Here we have. Blue vs red.
Only as akiridon Krel fits at all, he doesn't pretend, he doesn't hide.
I need to be honest here, at this point this becomes more imagination than anything, but I think you all might agree with me.
Gaylen represents many things that an akiridon should not be, And what color is him? Oh of course it's red, a fucking warm color.
Speaking of my theory that warm = more human, I find it curious to point out that Gaylen only has 2 arms, wich is very human for the royal ones.
All the fanarts we have about gaylen krel agree that her design would have red details that stand out like A LOT-
I don't know how the whole thing could happen to get in the story to get to the point of Gaylen Krel, but there's my final though: After that, his new red colors could represent that he would no longer fit as a human or an akiridon at all, he's would be something more, something weird or strange, not akiridion at all
Under this theory, it is similar to what Jim went through as a half-troll, although it is predominantly blue, the eclipse details are red cause after all he's still Jim, and that was sacrifice and change needed to be made, they both had to become like this, and after all, Krel would still being Krel.
Someone please tell me I'm not crazy with all these thoughts, I am traumatized with TOA

This time, the focus will shift towards Krel Tarron.
Prince-in-waiting, now Embassador of Akiridion-5 on Earth.

Akiridion Courtship
I've seen a bunch of takes on this, so given what little we know of Akiridion culture, what I've seen in the fandom, and what ideas I've picked up from other shows, I'm going to slap together some of my own thoughts.
Starting a Romance on Akiridion:
I think there would be some manner of tradition regarding this. Akiridions being as long-lived as they are, I think the basic, more commonly accepted idea would be that Akiridion relationships are started with eternity in mind, with shorter, more passionate relationships being more of a product of active rebellion than a common thing like they are on Earth. Akiridions are built to last, and I think their love and marriages would be too.
So, how would Akiridions begin a relationship, is the obvious question?
They're a culture with a very particular concept of honor, as we can see from Varvatos and from the way other warriors behave. They're also an immensely creative people, as we know from Krel and how advanced their technology is. The little shrine to the Royals we see in one of the episodes has its own sort of artistic beauty.
And so, I think hand-crafted or self-designed gifts would be a way to begin an Akiridion courtship. I also think secret courtship wouldn't be considered shameful on Akiridion like it sometimes is on Earth, especially for royals; I think it'd be considered a perfectly reasonable act of protecting personal privacy.
Anyway, I think that a series of three gifts, from the person initiating the courtship to their romantic interest, is customary. The first is to express interest (called a "muryt"), the second to express intent of building a solid relationship (called a "dibir"), and the third to ask the romantic interest to accept them (called a "kveca"). The romantic interest is free to reject any of the gifts, whereupon the gifter is expected to back off. This has a certain influence over the dynamic of the more traditional aspects of the relationship moving forward.
Process of Courtship:
In an effort to build a lasting relationship, Akiridion dates, I think, would be more practical than not. I think they'd be focused on cooking and creating things together, learning about each other and learning new things together. They'd be to facilitate interpersonal connection and to figure out what the couple has in common. Of course, these are the focus, but romantic gestures are welcome and encouraged, too.
Akiridion Dancing:
I don't think Akiridions dance to music. I think they have very precise, fluid dance forms that facilitate closeness and conversation. Circular steps and a lot of mirroring movements and hand touches.
Breakups:
There's a couple ways for Akiridions to break up. One is for the receiver of the courtship initiation gifts to return the kveca. One is for the gifts-receiver's House to compensate the gifter's House in some way. One can also just break it off verbally, but it's considered more impolite.
Preparing for Marriage:
This one is a modified version of a Minbari tradition from Babylon 5. If an Akiridion couple decides to consider marriage, the gift-receiver and gifter spend three nights together, wherein the latter sleeps, and the former watches. The belief is that, at some point during those three nights, the gifter's "true face" or true self is revealed to the gift-receiver while they sleep. If the gift-receiver likes what they see, they get married. If they don't like it, they get to decide the future of the relationship.
Proposal and Marriage:
For the proposal, the initial gift-receiver creates three gifts to give to the initial gifter, symbolizing promising themself to them like the initial gifter did at the start of the relationship.
The marriage is an occasion that's taken seriously to a degree, but treated with lightheartness. Mostly it just finalizes if one member of the couple or other is going to choose to join the other's House, or if they'll choose to create a new House together.
Variation for Royals or Nobles:
Not that different, really. Nobles or commoners marrying royals become part of the royal House. Commoners marrying nobles join that noble's House. If royals marry each other, as in the case of Aja and Krel's parents, a new House is formed.
Here's a compilation of all the posts I've done analyzing Akiridions:

I had an idea for a Tales of Arcadia/Wings of Fire AU in the middle of my math test so now I'm obligated to talk about it here (Ill add on as I go)
-Jim and Toby are MudWings who are apart of the same little troop. They consider each other brothers, even if they aren't actually related. If they were to go to the main MudWing kingdom they'd be considered weird as their group only consists of them, Jim's mother Barbara, and Toby's Nana. But the four of them are close-knit and don't really intend on ever leaving Arcadia... except for Jim. One day on a mini-adventure, Jim stumbles upon a animus-cursed artifact that serves as his opportunity to see more of the rest of the world
-Claire is a NightWing with mindreading and foresight. Her abilities were taught to be suppressed by her parents (mostly her mom) because Arcadia (again, mom) is superstitious/leery about those and believes they will just bring trouble with the war. She later on gets cursed by Morgana (Darkstalker equivilent) to become an animus dragon
-Arcadia is a little town somewhat like Possibility (aka everyone gets along, and is staying out of the ongoing war). The dragon who mostly runs everything is Ophelia (who something something is a relative of the royal NightWing bloodline who left to do her own thing)
-I haven't gotten around to the full trolls (Blinky, AAARRRGGHH) yet because I don't really know how to incorporate them yet. But characters such as Strickler and Nomura are RainWings (nicknamed Changelings) who use their camoflage to disguise as other types. RainWings are pretty much entirely distrusted as they largely keep to themselves in the rainforest, can change their appearance, and are rumored to be able to spit acid
-Akiridion-5 is basically going to be this AU's equivilant of Pantala. Princess Aja and Prince Krel of the SilkWings had their coronation disrupted by General Morando's combined forces of SilkWings and HiveWings. Along with their guardian Varvatos, they made the dangerous journey across the ocean to Pyrrhia, where they settled as normal citizens in Arcadia
-Douxie is a Night/Sea hybrid. Hybrids are not an uncommon sight now, but in the days when Queen Aretha (Arthur) ruled the NightWings, they were looked down the same as Changelings are in the present. Between that and the fact he's an animus, he moves around the continent every 7 years or so before dragons start to notice he doesn't age. He's been settled in Arcadia for a couple years by this point, and works part-time as a musician, bookstore keeper, and whatever WOF's equivilant of a waiter would be. After Claire's animus curse becomes public knowledge, he decides to join team Trollhunters

hi! Big fan of Sunshine Through The Clouds (I've been following the story since about the tail end of You Are My Sunshine) and I was somewhat curious; what would happen to Jim if grave sand and its effects were applied to him during the day? Given that he's a half/were(?) troll, would it change anything in the effects of it?
Jim's shifting troll curse is controlled strickly according to the movement of the sun and whether Jim himself is above or below ground. More generally, whether Jim is a troll or not is determined by how close he is to the "world" of trolls itself, which is why he shifts on the surface and is a troll permanently underground. And if he ever visited Akiridion-5 he'd be stuck as a human as he did.
So if Jim ever had gravesand during the day it would just have the "normal" effect of making him angry.
