Karma does have true, real feelings for MC. He would literally be at their beck and call. His “nice guy” personality is his way of putting a leash on himself in terms of his love language - which is psychotic torture and the like. 

As for the possession thing, it’s a bit…weird for him as a Yandere. I think he’s not necessarily possessive of MC, but mostly their blood. He’s happy and actually prefers MC to be independent and all that, but once MC gets a nosebleed or something he is instantly protective and possessive. He, along with many vampires in this universe consider blood to be very sacred and important.

However, if there is one possessive trait he definitely has is love bites, hickeys, all that. To him, it’s middle ground between pain and pleasure for both him and MC. And by making MC independent, it gives him an advantage in happily showing off how beautiful those deep, pretty bite marks look on them.

What would happen if Karma ever lost his partner? Like for example by natural causes, murder etc.

If MC dies of a disease or sickness Karma would of course, be devastated. He wouldn’t openly express his sadness towards others, but when he’s alone, he’ll break down into tears. It’ll hurt him even more since the Sangre family has put a deadline on his ‘freedom’, or something like that. Idk. To know more details, you’re gonna have to ask Karma himself for that information. 

However if MC dies due to murder, bullying, or reckless acts of violence - get ready for a bloodbath. Instead of calling for assassinations, he’s the assassin himself. He’s not letting idiots like that with a short death either. They will be suffering for the rest of their lives until they learn the consequences of their actions. I can imagine one of his torture methods would be letting them eat MC’s flesh, as a metaphor of their unnecessary abuse or violence towards MC. However, I’m pretty sure the bullying and pre-meditated murder will be found out before it’s too late thanks to Karma watching MC 24/7.

Also if MC’s death was conspired, say by other cartel families or even his own, then that’s a whole ‘nother bloody ordeal in itself. Besides, nobody in their right mind would piss off a bloodhound, even if it’s gone rouge.
