Oh my freaking gosh did understanding the dialogue make me adore the latest episode of pokeani even more. Gou is a good kid and anyone who DARES to insult him with stupid claims is dead wrong (if you’ve seen some forum posts you’ll know what I mean).

Beautiful development for Gou, and I hope to god Morpeko ends up becoming a recurring gag who keeps messing up Rockets due to wanting food from THEM!

But honestly, new highlight of the episode?

Here’s the best part:

ASJGHFSSFJHSGFJHSFGJSFHGSFHG who wrote this episode I love how they wrote the rocket/twerp dynamic in this ep it’s so GOOD!

Krhm, anywho. Real darn good ep and I’ve already reblogged my fav scenes. Please do watch it, and forget about the stupid preview from before. The episode is good, and Messon so damn well fits with Gou <3 Gou will learn a ton from Messon, I’m sure of it. And It’d seem to be the second main partner so expect it to be seen a ton!

Also I finally understood the line Gou says to Koharu.

“I thought you weren’t interested in Pokémon“, and I love what tone he uses lolol (especially the Kooohaaaru~). It’s the kind of tune you use to tease a friend who’s suddenly showing signs of their opposite trait. In this case, Koharu seemingly interested in Pokémon. Which she’s said to not be.

To which, Koharu says: “Shut up“. lol (And blushes out of embarrasment)

Y’know, I was just saying on twitter last week how I love Gou and Koharu’s dynamic and wished to see more of it, and this episode just happens to deliver on it??? What are the odds.

Subs are out, which I’ll watch tomorrow, so I guess there’s no more point in trying to figure out the dialogue. But like, my GoSpringshipper heart was happy with the scenes that happened between Koharu and Gou. There were also nice Bloomboltship moments (Satoshi and Koharu). (Reminder, I am neutral shipper, and mainly appreciate the character dynamics when I ship something, nothing more!)

Looking forward to understanding the episode to full degree tomorrow!

Y’know, I hope we’ll see Tokio again at some point. I FINALLY managed to actually watch the episode without having trouble focusing on it (cough Alola cough), and for what I understood of the dialogue, plot, etc. Tokio and Gou considered each other friends after just one day. And one scene involved Gou getting help from Sunflora, and Tokio thought Gou wouldn’t come back? Gou then stating he always keeps his promises. Aww. Gou is a sweetheart guys.

The reason Tokio didn’t turn up to their promised meetup? He got sick and had no way of telling Gou. Tokio felt AWEFUL about betraying his trust, because they had a promise. They were friends. Gou felt bitter about it, but he then found a letter Tokio had left to Celebi Shrine all those years ago. And then Tokio turns up during Gou’s present day trip to same place (think it’s his family’s tradition to go on a vacation there?), and the two start to catch up on what’s been going on the past 3 years. Honestly, Tokio won my heart over, and I’d LOVE to see him come back later for some other plot. And like, that scene was just so, heart-felt.

I think this happening between Gou and Tokio happened three years prior, a year after the Okido Summer Camp happened with Koharu and Gou. Sooooo... Koharu still one of Gou’s first friends, and Tokio is like, the reason Gou said the line “so you’re one of those guys” when he had a fight with Satoshi and Satoshi said that he doesn’t need Gou to be friends with him. XD yet they do become friends asjhgsfh. But I think Gou considers Tokio a friend again! Glad to see such friendship get patched up <3 Shame it wasn’t a Sam Oak kind of plot lol

But, like, week ago I predicted I’d cry today. I did, but for whole different reasons lol. The episode itself didn’t really make me feel emotional, think it’s on the dialogue being sooo much and I didn’t understand about... one third of it? But the main point of the episode came across to me just fine.

So. Next week we have Gou get Heracross, judging from preview and opening that is. And gosh darn Gou’s Kailios/Pinsir is so cute, it looks to be crushing on this Heracross the episode is introducing sajhfgsjhfsh. Cute.

Also the match between Satoshi and Corni was A++ tier like ohmygod Kairyu is OP lol And it knows Hyper Beam, Dragon Dance, Dragon Claw and Hurricane! real good moveset!

I’ve never been happier about a capture episode, new favourite, Riolu is awesome, perfect personality, this shows it’ll be Riolu for a long while because it’s a friendship evolution line, aaaaaaaaahhhhhh it’s so cute help me I’m crying so much *sobs* Out of happiness ofc... sniff
