I might post a translation later, but what is likely Norway's first public event about detransition has been thrown out of Kulturhuset, the location where the event was planned to be held. Just a few days ago, kvinneaktivistene, the organizers, received a mail from Kulturhuset stating that unless they also invited a trans person fully happy with their transition for the sake of balance, this event would be thrown out of Kulturhuset. This event is not intended as a debate, but rather as an opportunity for these two detransitioners to share their stories (and maybe answer some questions). The event has been moved to a different location now.

Dark Final Season

I really don't give two shits about Jonas' and Martha's romance, the real romantic tragedy in Dark was the love story that never happened between Regina and Aleksander Tiedemann, they were the only pure and good relationship in Winden.

I will forever be bitter about this.

Dark Season 3 Thoughts (SPOILERS for the whole season!)

TL;DR It was excellent.

There were a few things I wish had been elaborated on, but overall I’m satisfied with how things turned out.

First of all, the ending. That was great. All their efforts weren’t in vain, but the “Paradise” was also not as perfect as anyone had thought. It was bittersweet, just the way I like it. The fact that the door is left open for Jonas and Martha to exist without being aunt and nephew is great too.

I wish we had gotten exactly what the hell the Aleksander Köhler/Boris Niewald/Clausen business was all about. I’m certain they had something planned there that they didn’t end up doing, either due to time constraints or issues finding the actors necessary to make it happen.

We needed to see more of Eva’s son! How can he not have a name?? Come on! He’s the reason she’s fighting to keep the knot intact, after all. Also, my headcanon is that his name is Knut, a German name that means knot.

Bartosz and Silja could’ve used more time together, as could Noah and Elisabeth. And why is their surname Tauber? Again, I think they needed more than 8 episodes to wrap it up and it wasn’t possible to include as much of everything as they wanted.

Despite this, I think the ending was well written and satisfying overall. Finding a show with a good ending is a nearly impossible task, but Dark nailed it. While there are a few things I would have liked to see that we didn’t get, it still ticks the box for what I consider to be the most important thing in a story: a beginning and an ending that makes sense and build onto each other in a believable way.

There’s a lot to say and I’ll likely post a bit during the coming days, weeks, months, about my thoughts, but right now I’m just glad that Katharina, Regina, and Benni got a happy ending- even Hannah, with her lack of redeemable qualities, got a man who loves her as much as she loves him, and I’m glad she did. The show started with Hannah and Jonas, and the show ended with Hannah and Jonas.

Now I’m gonna cry like a little bitch over Jonas and Martha.

Dark Season 3 Final Verdict: 9/10

(And bear in mind, for this blog’s standards that sort of score is huge.)

Fuck fuck fuck I got a revelation : I was thinking about this post saying that Hannah and Egon might have had an affair and that Aleksander Tiedemann / Aleksander Köhler / Boris Niewald could be their son. Shady past, don’t know where he comes from, and looks like both of them kinda. And I realised that Niewald is the contraction of Nielsen and Kahnwald. And now I am almost certain that Hannah got a son in the past, that it’s Boris and since she has a time machine and knows about the Höhle he might have come to Winden this way.

What if Aleksander revealing his past to Bartosz in Eva’s World is what leads to his arrest in Adam’s World?

Clausen gets an anonymous letter quoting Freud and telling him that answers about his brother can be found in Winden. We can assume this was sent by The Unknown, since he recites the same quote to Gustav Tannhaus before he kills him.

How would The Unknown know that Aleksander was lying about his identity? As far as we see, the only people who know this are Hannah and maybe Wöller.

But in Eva’s World, Bartosz knows too.

We see that Alt Bartosz is loyal to Erit Lux. He grabs Alt Martha at the switch point and later saves his younger self from the apocalypse on Eva’s command.

What if he told Eva that his father stole Aleksander Köhler’s identity? Then they pieced together that Clausen was the real Aleksander’s brother, and had The Unknown send the letter to ensure that the apocalypse would happen in Adam’s World.

Dark Season 2 Theories

1) What I love is that everyone of the characters has a bad, or rather, a dark side. Honestly, Jonas appears to be one of the only characters that is good. (If you leave out the daydreaming about fucking your aunt. But you know, just 200 years ago it was the hippest thing to be married to your cousin so I guess they just live in the wrong time with the wrong coonventions). And yet this good character is supposed to become the most evil character we know on the show.

2) The family tree. So there are still a few gaps in the family tree and I think they are very important ones that are going to be unravelled in Season 3. First off: Who are Noah’s and Agnes’ parents? I found it very fitting if Jonas was Noah’s father (since biblical Adam is an ancestor of biblical Noah). If Jonas was Noah’s and Agnes’ father the Nielssens, Dopplers and Kahnwalds are all connected to each other by blood. And Adam would be the beginning of the line amd Jonas is the end. Theories make me doubt this though (with whom but with Martha should he suddenly have children?). However, the way Magnus and Franziska look at Noah in episode 7 or episode 8 makes it very possible for them to be his parents and thus, the three families would still be connected in the same constellation. The only ones that fall out of the muster are the Tiedemanns who are obviously just as connected to each family as the other families are to each other. It will all probably depend on who the man with whom Claudia had her daughter with is.

3) Charlotte Doppler and Elisabeth Doppler. The most important question is: Why was Elisabeth in the future and not with her “daughter”? Did she and Noah travel back in time to have their child there - as Charlotte was presumably born in the 1960s or 1970s. Then why did she go back to the future?

4) Okay, so Jonas and Claudia literally spent one year together where she told him everything she knew about the Winden situation if I understood correctly? I think it will explain somethings in Season 3

5) Michael Kahnwald and Mikkel. Okay, it really was a twist that future Jonas was actually the one who led Michael to kill himself in order to save his son. But... what I have first thought about this: Could it not be possible that Michael kept on to live and then, after Mikkel’s disappearance, would tell Jonas the truth? Of course, Jonas would think him crazy at first but as maybe some people guessed Jonas appeared to be very close to his father and Michael could have accompanied and helped Jonas on his time travels and conquest to save the world. Also couldn’t Jonas still exist even if he brought Mikkel back or maybe? Because the book “Eine Reise durch die Zeit” was technically never written but still exists so why should Jonas suddenly disapppear? I’m also curious about future Jonas motivation on why to abduct Mikkel to 1986 in the first place because that is definitely going to be crazy

6) Aleksander Köhler. This was a weird storyline and I don’t believe we’ve heard the last of it. Why would they have introduced it otherwise and then not have it solved at any time?

7) Bartosz’s role in everything. I was a bit confused because in the first episode Noah wanted Bartosz to work for him again but never got back to him? Many people have also had the theory that the man young Noah kills in 1921 is future Bartosz which makes a lot of sense and I guess Noah did it based on Adam’s orders. In the first episode Adam also calls Bartosz “naive” and makes it appear that he does not think much of him. So maybe Bartosz worked against Jonas until he could no longer stand that? Definitely something that they have to adress in Season 3.

8) The alternate universe. And this, my friends, could be really ANYTHING. I just hope they do not chicken out by solving all the mess they have made in this universe by saying something “Oh, we found this alternate universe where everyone can be happy and everything we have done does not matter” like. Because that would be really lazy of the writers.

9) How is it going to end? I guess it is going to be DARK. Probably Jonas eventually kills himself. Here, the question remains whether he will kill himself as teen Jonas or whether he kills Stranger Jonas. I don’t really guess killing Adam will help him much with his problems
