Man, I really love @virune's Literal!Shadow AU so much, I had to draw it. The idea of Sonic walking around with a sentient shadow hedgehog everywhere he goes is so awesome and such an interesting premise.

(If you actually see this, thanks for reblogging my Sonic Adventure 2 Redraw the other day. I cannot state how much I appreciate that since I love your art and what you come up with, it is an honour. Here's a gift from me. Maybe I'll draw more fanart of your AUs someday...if you'd allow, of course.)

Ahaha, sorry for my random and sudden disappearance for just over a month. Got a little busy again.

I'm pretty sure this is the most ambitious thing I've ever drawn thus far. Honestly put my heart and soul into channeling the vibe of Sonic and the Black Knight, and I'm honestly proud of this.

Also I wrote a poem for this for some reason even though I ain't even made one in eons. I mean...I like it but I have no idea how good/bad it is?

Got myself incredibly hyped up today with the amount of Shadow content so here's Doom Wing Shadow I guess.

His wings are so hard for me to draw right.

Y'all really liked my last "Eldritch Alien" Shadow post and I was not expecting that somehow despite the SxS Gens hype. I literally drew that and just hit post really. Nothing more to it.

But that also motivated me to draw more Shadow with tentaquills(???) so I guess you're getting more of what you want.

Drawing's fun when I let ideas hit me naturally so...have this WIP in the meantime. This is a lot more zoomed in than it's gonna be.

After my last post, I just sorta...went off the rails using a similar style on my final day of college to see if I could do something with it. The result of that is this. The image was so big I had to compress it a little to actually post, and I decided to create an actual watermark to cover it. I literally only started this as a "haha let's try it" moment, and then it actually began looking good???

My own abilities confuse me sometimes.

Used this Sonic Adventure 2 image as reference for a redraw and I tried to add highlights Uekawa-style but in my own way based on the style of my last post with. I'm starting to understand cel-shading a lot more now because of it. You can't deny the fact that Sonic Adventure-era art just have this aura that cannot be described nor contained.

No, but you have no idea how much I love "The Phantom Rider's" design. He looks like a Mega Man X reject in the coolest sense.

Just read Sonic IDW #70 yesterday and I've been hyping about it and had to draw him in some capacity. Also it's so new that there isn't much fanart yet (to my knowledge).

If you know who he is, nice. If you don't...idk find out, I'm not spoiling that directly.

More is on the way. Definitely a fully rendered drawing.

Spent yesterday drawing Charlie over and over again, and this is one of the funnier things I got out of it. I too caved to Cursed Cat Alastor as well. That...creachure that has taken over Hazbin Fandom wherever I look.

No joke, drawing Charlie for hours on end has actually helped me figure out how to draw an actual body (update on that...later, maybe tomorrow or the day after). Now hopefully that remains consistent...

Got mildly bored the other day and sketched Shadow on paper and digitised it like I did with two drawings a few months back. Looks great on paper already but I wanted to colour it in and I suck at colouring on paper.

The reason Shadow looks like this is some AU concept I have in the works and I'm planning on figuring out what I want to do with that.

I love the semi-headcanon that Amy Rose is a lot stronger than she looks and that the rings she wears are strength inhibitors and her hammer is ludicrously dense for its size, but may I also add: Situational Strength.

Wouldn't it be really funny if the level of her strength also depended on how she was feeling at that moment? Like she can channel sheer willpower and rage to get more out of her strength?

Idk if this is already a thing or whatever but it would be fun for her to be comically strong. Flipping cars with with varying degrees of effort depending on how important her strength needs to be. Not quite like Knuckles or Shadow where their strengths are generally constant.

If the rings were inhibitors, perhaps they're there simply to prevent Amy from accidentally hurting herself with her own power but is still able to use it, kinda like how Shadow shouldn't keep his inhibitors off for too long because it drains his energy. Maybe she doesn't even know that they're inhibitors and is completely unaware of how physically strong she is.

Just a headcanon of mine I decided to illustrate a little.

This Charlie drawing was supposed to be finished with a full BG back in March (The sketch was actually on the same file as this Charlie and Cursed Cat Alastor art before I attempted a full drawing and put it on an alt canvas) but I never got around to completing and my style changed so much since then that continuing from now would be odd. I still want to show her though so here she is. :)

Maybe I'll redraw someday to show what the whole thing was supposed to look like.

Didn't have many other ideas but I wanted to draw something for today.

I may or may not really like this winged/awakened Shadow the Hedgehog a lot. I tried going for a silhouette-like style again like I did a while ago (although much cleaner), and I literally wasn't intending to get anything out of this, but I'm glad that I continued. I just sorta blocked out the pose and decided that I had to finish.

To bringing the sharpest edge out of Shadow this year! I can't wait!

It's him, the Ultimate Life Form!

A pretty heavy departure from my usual style, but honestly, I was screwing around in Sai earlier today, and some paint bucketing, lassoing and lining later, this now exists.

Actually not a bad style, if I do say so myself.

Just testing out a style today by basically skipping the usual linework.

I was working with a rough pose sketch and then kinda just went over it like I was doing sketch and lineart at the same time, so the lines are untextured, but smooth. Tried my hand at some cel-shaded shadows too. I suck at those.

Then I decided to colour Sonic in. I do not regret that decision.

An interesting look indeed in the end. I'll see what I can do with that.

God, if I can keep Sonic's face that consistent, I'll be so happy...
