To answer questions/address concerns:

1.) They had initially agreed upon a 6 month-ish leave (go back to work in January-ish?) and had worked it out financially and all that and now he thinks 12 weeks/3 months is “plenty.” He also expects her to breastfeed pretty much exclusively (obviously introduce foods when appropriate but yeah). So around the time she gets the hang of it he wants her to go back to work and pump in a closet. FUN.

2.) Agreed this sucks and he needs to STFU and support her and listen to the doctor. He sells insurance. He doesn’t get to play ob/gyn especially when it’s based on a “feeling.” 

3.) The c-section plan was suddenly abandoned and when I asked (gently - I was happy for her because I knew that was causing her stress!) what had changed she was vague and his name came up and she kept citing recovery time as a reason to avoid it. Please note: she may end up having to have one anyway so this line of reasoning seems weird but I get it: major surgery is scary. 

Also, he’s an avid cyclist and signed up for a century race in October and booked a one-room studio Airbnb for all three of them to stay in. And now he’s worried the baby crying may interrupt his sleep. I just...cannot.
