now thats out of the way, lets get with the hcs! ~Alice runs an emo feelings insta account ~They have a family instagram account ran by their mom, she posts pics of them

~Joe is a mamas boy ~Sara’s a daddy’s girl (he buys her anything she wants) ~Their dad is strict and stressed due to all the kids, their mom is chill and laid back due to her parents age when she was born (young).

~Kugie is a huge Kali Uchis fan, she has posters spread all through her room+records. ~Kugie dyed her hair to match Kanna’s naturally green hair, (it was kannas biggest insecurity.) ~Kanna and Gin both have autism, they comfort each when there’s loud noises.

~Joe has ADHD. ~Kanna has OCD, everything has to be perfect or she’ll cry. ~Kanna is extremely sensitive

~Kanna and Sou are extremely close with each other. ~Reko plays guitar for Kanna and Gin. ~Every summer they all go on a family vacation together.

~Mishima invites everyone over every 2 weeks for storytimes. ~Nao teaches Sou how to paint, Sou teahces Nao how to code/play games. ~Keiji buys them the best Christmas gifts.

~Alice has bad anger issues, he’ll be mean to his siblings, (somtimes Mishima) but if someone hurts them, that persons gonna need a hospital trip. ~Sou mods discord servers, but hes not an average discord mod. ~Sara loves reading books.

~Sara comes off as proper, but she LOVES pranking her family, she goes all out on April fools day. ~When their mom and dad got pregnant with Sara, they had to move, then they had joe and had to move again, then the other kids, after Gin was born they saved money for 3 years to get a bigger house. Kugie is def annoyed with all her siblings. ~Kugie works at Starbucks and gets them all free drinks/food.

~Dad and mom sometimes go away for business trips, mom leaves her brother (Kai) to take care of the kids, he always cooks for them and they LOVE it. ~Kugie is extremely protective of all her siblings. ~All the cousins play videogames together and scream at one another.

~Joe screams like a little girl, Sou makes fun of him for it. ~Sou runs hate pages on twitter for every family member that’s made him mad. ~Alice listens to drake, don’t argue with me.

Admin Shin giving physical appearance descriptions here +a few other things because he is tired and he didn't do the drawings cause he used his art sauce for redrawing cgs- tw for: mentions of past abuse, scars, self harm(past and present) and other things that intale with descriptions. Plus a bit of me projecting some of my physical insecuritues cause my au my bullshit- this will be the first of a few posts cause I know shit ain't easy with long shit. 1/? Greenblings + Yabusames

Shin: pale to the point you can say he glows, a half sleeve of tattoos one of the plant Kanna, another that's a chemistry joke, and this symbol ; mostly on his forearm. Cyan hair cut very choppy with some shaved of in the back, Grey blue/green eyes. Various scars on his body that he covers with clothing(self inflicted and those inflicted by others), is around 160cm tall. Twig™ like he a stick and barely weights anything. Burns really easily and bruises easily, most of his scars are on his thighs because of this. Is cis and purely gay, He/him pronouns but doesn't really care. Trust issues and depression from little baby years when he was in the foster care system, was adopted when he was 6 but has a lot of his memories locked behind disotiative amnesia(it doesn't affect his current life thus he ignores it). Only 2 people aside from himself that knows of his habits of self harm, he started a little before his first time meeting Kanna.

Kanna: braids her hair it is a sea glass green, a light tan from existing in daylight, has stretch marks on her chest and thighs, chubby baby thighs, at a healthy weight in comparison to Shin, is 165 centimeters tall and not done growing, has a few scars from past foster homes like Shin but they are much more faded. Eyes a pale green/blue color and freckles speckled on her face. Has body hair that she chooses not to shave/wax off cause she doesn't mind it unlike Kugie or Shin. Cis girl and bi uses She/her pronouns but doesn't mind other pronouns being used for her. Was adopted at age 4 and didn't have many foster homes before getting adopted and doesn't have any memories from that time due to aging.

Kugie: short brown bob with poorly dyed edges, tanned skin with light tan lines, has slight scarring on her knees from many times of busting it up. Healthy weight and 170cm tall(yes she rubs it into Shin's face all the time-), has some muscle and can lift bro. Dark brown eyes nearly black. Hates having body hair and waxes it when it appears again, mostly cause she feels gross with having it on herself for sensory reasons. Is a trans girl she/her/they/them pronouns very uncomfortable with any other pronouns. Met Shin at age 12 and didn't like him at first, by coincidence ended up going to the same high school as him a few years later. Takes puberty blockers for the current time being. Is 16.

Midori: homeless as shit, doesn't look homeless though, same hair color as Kanna and same eyes as Shin. Doesn't have any physical scars(shocking I know-), wears only a prison uniform really. Can't talk to Kanna or Kugie due to a restraining order, Shin ordered it for them but not himself when he was 18. Pale in a normal way, has a weird birthmark on his stomach which matches with Shin. Is around 176cm tall. Somehow not malnourished despite his usual shit. Is 25, 3 years older than Shin and 11 years older than Kanna. A cishet man that uses he/him pronouns.

Reko: has dyed her hair bright blue with a bit of pink after Alice did in their teens, has kept it that way for years just cause she likes it. Has ear piercings and a tattoo it's a simple flower that Nao designed. Is 168cm tall and has a generally muscular person. Cis lesbian uses she/her pronouns but doesn't really care. A music major in college, 23 years old. Is a punk rock chic when out and about but steals Nao's clothes while in the apartment, is also dating Nao.

Alice: is tall aka 180cm tall, really muscular and works out with Reko for fun. Got a music degree a few years back but didn't get any job in the field yet, was in a band with Reko but had left it a little later due to creative differences. Bongos. Is a trans queer man, he/him pronouns doesn't care if you respect his pronouns or not but will beat your ass if you don't respect others. Has a tattoo of Reko's birthdate on his arm, went with Shin to get it, he cried while Shin comforted him over it. Works at the same place as Shin at a similar position, he has saved Shin's ass out of getting fired multiple times. Has a similar style to Reko but wears similar clothes to Shin while at home, dumb graphic tees, yoga pants and hoodies, half of what he wears comes from Shin's closet. 25 years old.

About the fact that Keiji is dying his hair from the latest ask-

Funnily enough when I first saw Keiji my reaction was "Y,, you're trying to sell me that you're NATURALLY BLONDE?"

And about the hair colour in yttd, I personally think that some people do have naturally bright coloured hair. I think that Nao, Shin and Kanna have their natural hair colour, while Keiji and Alice dye their hair.

I assume so because of: Kanna's young age; We have seen Nao's highschool sprite in her flashback with Mishima; And Shin's AI (though this is a pretty weak one I admit, but I'm clinging to the fact that his AI specifically has blue scarf his past self has prior to Midori's death as a little evidence).

And with Keiji and Alice we saw Keiji's past self sprites, and I assume that Alice at least used to dye his hair because like,, Alice, my dude, hair doesn't grow in coloured stripes, I'm pretty sure that's not how it works.

Hello it's me again about yttd hair colours and I'm here to correct myself.

I actually forgot about kid Reko and Alice CG where we can see kid Alice having his blue hair in young age! So, Alice is kind of both in the hair colour matter, he has (I assume he has) natural blue hair and he used to dye it when he was in the band with Reko.

Good catch on Alice’s hair! I think that Reko also dyes her one lock of hair a light shade of brown. The picture of them as children must show their natural hair color. Then when they become rock stars, they start dying parts of it.

I imagine Q-Taro’s hair is naturally bright red as well. He’s even got red eyebrows to match.

Okay, I’m going to speculate wildly based on my very limited knowledge of anime, but I think?? That bright green hair is the “most” unusual hair color? 

My primary frame of reference here is Digimon Adventure, my favorite show as a child, which--like YTTD--is a well-written story about a fantastic ensemble cast of realistic characters who get swept up into a “strange, magical world.” Some of the kids had brightly colored hair, but none of them had green hair? 

Like, you could even argue that the two red-heads in the top-right corner have a reddish shade of brown hair. And that blue hair could even be a bluish shade of black hair? The show also made an excuse for the two boys with blond hair, saying that their grandpa was from France, lol.

But bright green hair doesn’t look anything like brown hair, red hair, blond hair, or even black hair? It’s the hair color that feels strangest to me. I don’t really know enough about anime to comment further. I’m just saying that the green-haired characters in YTTD look really fun to me, haha.

kimi ga shine cast and their hair

sara- her braid on the side of her head is her ahoge she didnt want to be exposed as a dangan protag joe- takes about 45 min and a gallon of hair spray, whenever saras stressed she just grabs a spike and crushes it easily because its so crusty keiji- he woke up like this kai- he wears a wig and his real hair is a buzz cut gin-  has the most normal haircut, aside from a wolf ear headband sou- also spends 45 min but he’s trying to stylize his messy bowl cut into what it is now reko- bakugou looking headass nao- she takes care of the lice that lives there kanna- she keeps animals in the bucket on top of her head because they mistake her green hair for grass q-taro- the carpet does not match the drapes//he’s actually blond mishima- he’s actually dying from an illness and is stressed all the time that his hair slowly turns lighter into an off-white color that its suprising that he lived to this point alice- if you dont think he can flick his hair like mettaton could then youre wrong
