"Father killed a person. But isn't it me who's most to blame? Was that father? Was it a person?" The more she thought about it, the more the scene was jumbled in her head. So she decided not to think about it. ...The girl renounced having to acknowledge anything.

Hey, do you have any rpg maker horror game recommendations?
here is my veryveryvery subjective list of rpgmaker games that i personally played thru. i probably forgot some sorry
(edit: just gonna use this as a masterlist of stuff that i went through)
playing through and/or on the to play list
forest of drizzling rain remake
lisa trilogy
in stars and time by insertdisc5
faves ever
OFF(!!!), mad father (original not the remake), ib, witch's house (read the light novel)
love these
wadanohara, omori, zeno, cat in the box, hylics, elevator hitch, any of the yume nikki stuff (my favorite is yume 2kki online)
like these too
to the moon, cold front, end roll, shtdn, hello charlotte, the gray garden, eloquent countenance, flesh, blood, and concrete, tide up, 8:11, oneshot
just silly
ao oni, superassfuck rpg, misao, too impatient
trashy but i like them but i wouldn't recc these to most people
yanderella, mogeko castle, corpse party
neutral/no strong opinions/mixed feelings; someone will probably find more merit out of these stories than me LOL I know i'm in the minority for my thoughts on certain titles here.
uri's games (mermaid swamp, strange men series, etc.), hello hello world, escaped chasm, angels of death, dreaming mary, grave of traumarei, underworld capital incident, hello...? hello?, alice mare, ayakashi akashi, faust's alptraum, pocket mirror
I did not like these.
savior of the abyss, alone, ann, the dark side of red riding hood
liked a lot but i'm waiting till it's released on steam to finish it
your turn to die
hiatus/dropped but I hear these are worth completing; i just experienced complications on my end
yuppie psycho, witch's heart, dweller's empty path
emphasis on Subjective please don't kill me </3 there are some other games in the #game recc tag that i've made that you should check out!

{☾} alicent reads a lot in her free time. she used to do needlepoint more but once she became queen, the expectation was that she would tend to viserys' shirts like a good wife. it became a chore instead of a hobby and she's come to hate it.
{☾} she will stitch up her children's clothes should they request it and has stitched a few dresses for jaehaera's dolls. (she's also stitched up a few of ser criston's shirts).
{☾} despite not truly experiencing passion, alicent is a fan of...spicier novels. it allows her to fantasize in private.
{☾} she is a fan of music--if she has the ability to sit and listen, it is enough to drown out her guilt and other anxious thoughts.
{☾} helaena's name was her choice and so was daeron's. viserys' got the final word in naming aegon and aemond.
{☾} alicent is a skilled horsewoman. she's got a pretty auburn mare that she likes to take out named lilith.
{☾} her favorite sweet treats are lemon bars. when she was pregnant, she craved lemon bars and tea with milk. she also craved green apples and oats.
{☾} the most sensitive part of her body is the hollow of her throat or her wrists.

do u have recs for rpg maker games?
Of course, we'll put them below the cut since it's a special interest of quite a lot of us
8:11 - Free / $8 [haven't finished]
Elevator Hitch - Free
Anything from VGPerson - Free (specifically Ib, Witch's House, Mad Father, Alice Mare, LiEat, 1BitHeart, End Roll, Farethere City, The Faceless Double, Paletta, Walking on a Star Unknown, Crooked Man Series, YTTD are the ones we like the most. The remakes if you want to buy some off Steam are also extremely good.)
Flesh, Blood, and Concrete - Free [haven't finished]
Hello Charlotte - Free / $3
Hikeback - Free (this is a vis novel but still)
It's Not Me It's My Basement - Free [haven't finished]
Therapy with Dr. Albert Kruger - Free (not rpgmaker but good)
Little Red Riding Hood's Wolf - Free
Underworld Capital Incident - Free [haven't finished]
OFF - Free
Dreaming Mary - Free
Oneshot - $10 [haven't finished]
Red Trees - Free
Mistrick - Free
Ao Oni - Free
Escaped Chasm - Free [haven't finished]
Grimm's Hollow - Free
Hylics - $3 [haven't finished]
Melon Journey - Free (they're working on a sequel)
Pocket Mirror - Free (they're making a new version for Steam like the ones we mentioned before too)
Pom Gets Wifi - Free
Purgatory - Free
Purrgatory - Free (also not rpg maker but still one of our faves)
Yume Nikki - Free [haven't finished]
Wireland - Free [haven't finished]
Space Funeral - Free [haven't finished]
Helltaker - Free (not rpgmaker either but still p good)
Don't Toy With Me - Free
Charon games are good, love their art style but they focus a lot on the "yandere" trope so if that's not your thing you shouldn't bother
Nomnomnami games are good but they're Not a good person so we would recommend not playing any of their games you have to buy / supporting them but they're good fun still.
omori is popular but we wouldn't suggest supporting omocat but we still enjoy it.
we also really used to like Purple & Doll Eye? We think those might be iffy games now as well but aren't in the know so I'm not entirely sure
entropy is also a favorite but it got taken down a long time ago and we doubt you could find a link or much content for it anywhere at all sadly
you can also go to ManlyBadassHero on yt and find some pretty enjoyable ones to play. he's the best.
we probably forgot quite a lot but we hope these work for now!

Hello, Bear! I'm not sure if you've been asked this before but what is/are some of your favourite books? Thank you!
Hello wonderful friend! I am so happy you asked this! I love talking about books :>
So my favorite book is called "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. It is a story about never losing touch with your inner child and childhood dreams. It was written in the 40s so it's a difficult read but totally worth it! There is also a movie on Netflix with the same name!
My next favorite book is "Solitaire" By Alice Oseman. This book got me through some of the worst times of my life. The main character is very mentally ill and it's a story about her learning to connect with people. That she really isn't a horrible person that she thinks she is and deserves love just like everyone else. It is a really sad read but it does such a good job at explaining how mental illness can affect the person that has it and the people around them.
Those mare my favorite novels but as a bonus my favorite comic book is the Scott Pilgrim series!
Thank you again for the question!
-Bear

rip not me thinking this would be a 5ish chapter arc but actually following all the beats of a full novel. oops. Who would have thought the characterization and relationship shifting/building from scratch (or worse) would need so much...
worry not, not all beats need the same amount of time/length.
Fire and Ice Packs
1. Opening Image — One memory hides another
2. Theme Stated
3. Set Up
Dracarys Means Dragonfire
4. Inciting Incident — Lady Fell: disaster averted with fire and ice
5. Debate — Rhaenyra and (vs.) Aemond
6. Break into (Act) Two — Cole is the new Escape Goat
7. B Story — Dragonstone thread gets a status quo
Mixed Metal Forks
8. Fun and Games or “Promise of the Premise” — But no fun for Alicent
9. Midpoint — Prince Daemon’s “horse” turns the tables
10. Bad Guys (or Hostages) Close In — On Alicent and someone else
11. All Is Lost — For Alicent. But what’s going on with someone else
Under the Dragon’s Eye
12. Dark Night(mare) of the Soul — MANY look to the past
13. Break into (Act) Three — One queen rises, another falls
We Light the Way
14. Finale — Someone lights the way forward
The Calm After the Storm — Someone is left behind
15. Final Image — As we jump forward
Someone wakes the dragon. Volcanoes don’t sleep forever.

Pâquerette, Antonio Moreno, and Alice Terry in Mare Nostrum (Rex Ingram, 1926) Cast: Antonio Moreno, Alice Terry, Apollon Uni, Álex Nova, Kada-Abd-el-Kader, Hughie Mack, Mademoiselle Kithnou, Mickey Brantford, Rosita Ramírez, Frédéric Mariotti, Pâquerette, Fernand Mailly, Andrews Engelmann. Screenplay: Willis Goldbeck, based on a novel by Vicente Blasco Ibáñez. Cinematography: John F. Seitz. Art direction: Ben Carré. Film editing: Grant Whytock. The Spanish novelist Vicente Blasco Ibáñez is known today mostly for melodramatic novels, many of them family sagas that reflect the early influence of Zola's Naturalist explorations of heredity as destiny, which attracted the attention of Hollywood filmmakers: Blood and Sand (Fred Niblo, 1922; Rouben Mamoulian, 1941) and The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (Rex Ingram, 1921; Vincente Minnelli, 1962), as well as the ones that were used for Greta Garbo's American debut, Torrent (Monta Bell, 1926) and The Temptress (Niblo, 1926). The Four Horsemen in particular had been such a success, creating the phenomenon of Rudolph Valentino, that it was quite logical for its director, Ingram, to go back to Ibáñez as a source when he launched his European-based production company in 1926. Mare Nostrum was also a vehicle for Ingram's wife, Alice Terry, who had starred opposite Valentino in Horsemen. Unfortunately, he had no Valentino at his disposal this time, and Antonio Moreno, who had just starred with Garbo in The Temptress, is a rather pallid substitute in the lead role of Ulysses Ferragut. Still, Ingram had the advantage of being based on the French Riviera, putting some spectacular locations like Marseille, Naples, Paestum, and Pompeii close at hand. The glimpses of these places in Mare Nostrum during the interim between two World Wars are the most fascinating thing about the film, outweighing the clumsiness of the adaptation, which drags in too much backstory about Ferragut's family history and a few too many secondary characters we don't care about as much as we seem to be urged to do. Terry makes the most of her role as the femme fatale, and there's a great campy bit by the actress known as Pâquerette as the large but sinister German villain.

finally played 1/beatheart! i expected something more along the lines of li/eat than 1/bitheart, and i wasn't disappointed. something i love about miwashibas stuff is that even if it's not perfect in execution or pacing or gameplay, it's very genuine. he always says something he really means and really wants to say. i felt that again. kinda missed it. i'm glad.

Separatist Lesbrarian Post
As if my Goddess research book pile isn't big enough.. I've decided to make a post of my work-in-progress separatist booklist; there's essays, feminist sci-fi, lesbian novels, all-female societies, herstories, etc. Some I've read but most are TBR on the Storygraph. If any women know anything that would be a good fit, or praise or criticism of anything here, feel free to add suggestions.
Fiction:
Sultana's Dream by Rokeya Sakhawat Hossein (only 11 pages and I love it so much)
The Wanderground: Stories of the Hill Women by Sally Miller Gearhart
Womonseed by Sunlight
Daughters of a Coral Dawn trilogy by Katherine V. Forrest
Return to Isis trilogy by Jean Stewart
Journey to Zelindar, Hadra Archives series by Diana Rivers
Ammonite by Nicola Griffith (this one made me want to go to the all female planet so much!)
The Demeter Flower by Rochelle Singer
The Gate to Women's Country by Sheri S. Tepper
A Door Into Ocean, Elysium series by Joan Slonczewski
*Herland by Charlotte Perkins Gilman (I read this, cw for shameless racism)
Your Faces, O My Sisters! Your Faces Filled of Light, and Houston, Houston, Do You Read?, by James Tiptree Jr. (pen name of Alice Sheldon)
When Women Were Warriors trilogy by Catherine M. Wilson (too many men in last book, some weird scenes but good otherwise, would reread)
*The Stars Are Legion by Kameron Hurley (read this, overall liked it but for the love of Goddess check reviews for content warnings bc idek how to warn for this)
The Carhullan Army/Daughters of the North by Sarah Hall (read, off-putting scenes esp gross het scene but interesting other aspects)
Banner of Souls by Liz Williams, added by suggestion! This looks interesting.
Sister Light, Sister Dark by Jane Yolen, thanks to @violetssunsets for the addition! unfortunately was warned about het content but also a society of warrior women.
Celaeno series by Jane Fletcher, thanks to @unified-multiversal-theory for the suggestion! Has an all-woman society so I need it in my life.
Herstory and Nonfiction:
Separatism and Women's Community by Dana R. Shugar (got this recently and excited to read this herstory)
Lesbian Land by Joyce Cheney
Sinister Wisdom #98: Landykes of the South: Women's Land Groups and Lesbian Communities in the South (have this, many listed are of the past)
La Luz Journal by Juana Maria Paz (actively seeking this one atm, racism and esp colonization issues wrt women's spaces on occupied land are something I want to see addressed)
Country Lesbians: The Story of the Womanshare Collective by Sue Deevy, Nelly Kaufer, Dian Wagner, Carol Newhouse, and Billie Miracle. (Billie gave me a copy of this when I visited Womanshare a few years back)
Weeding at Dawn: A Lesbian Country Life by Hawk Madrone
Amazon Acres, You Beauty: Stories of Women's Lands, Australia, edited by Sand Hall
Circles of Power: Shifting Dynamics in a Lesbian-Centered Community by La Verne Gagehabib and Barbara Summerhawk
For Lesbians Only: A Separatist Anthology, edited by Sarah Lucia Hoagland and Julia Penelope. (70 essays! I haven't finished it but I'm trying)
Wild Mares: My Lesbian Back-to-the-Land Life by Dianna Hunter
*Herlands: Exploring the Women's Land Movement in the United States by Keridwen N Luis (language in synopsis seems to favor male invasion of Female Sovereign Space so my expectations are low)
If any women here have read any of these please let me know your thoughts! I don't have anon on but I’ll redact asks if you want to write in anonymously, just say the word. Hoping to find more knowledgeable lesbrarians on our beloved hellsite than myself :)
