Open your mind for this open mic! • Ally Vega, Choreographer and Teaching Artist Ally Vega is an LA based choreographer, performer, and teaching artist. After graduating from Cal State Long Beach with a B.A. in Communication studies, she decided to pursue dance as a career. She immersed herself in the urban dance and commercial choreography scenes around LA and eventually found her love for club street styles - whacking and vogue. • Ally currently teaches dance in various schools in the Los Angeles area. She has choreographed for artists like Gingee, Bohan Phoenix, and has created her own online dance workout called Kpop Dance Party through the Hip Shake Fitness platform. You can also find her showcasing her choreographic work at various community and industry events around the Southern California area, such as Anime Expo, Anime Los Angeles, Filipino AF, Club Jete, and more. Nowadays, she is exploring the intersections between Filipino folk movement and urban dance.
