I am the type of person that will take one word or phrase from a conversation that I'm having and then break into song like some kind of musical because the word or phrase reminded me of a very specific song. For example, if a person says some with "sugar" or "honey", I will not hesitate to start singing "Sugar, oh honey honey". That is just who I am and I wouldn't be me if I didn't do something like this. It drives my mom up the wall, too, but she laughs anyway.

Talk to me about dnp + dog thoughts (or cat tbh). Will they get one? If so, when? Will they wait until they have a house, or just a pet friendly place? What breed(s)? Who will take what responsibility? :D

ohhhohoh amy you Know i can cry about dnp and cats😭🙌 they’re just ...... such cat people! the iconic sofa crease pose is Meant to include a curled up cat on dan’s tummy right behind his laptop ;__; phil assigning things to the cat’s body language like “oh darn, dan, looks like i can’t take the bins out right now, the cat is laying like a bread loaf in front of the stairs. clearly picketing ...., sorry 🤷🏻‍♂️”

and i also think they’d def play both sides of that tig notaro story where she realizes she’d never meowed at her cat before, so she does and she and the cat go back and forth several times, before her wife stephanie sticks her head out from the kitchen and says “i wouldn’t do that if i were you.... you don’t know what you’re saying to her! it could be rude ,, or inappropriate” 😩

but there is also so much room in my heart for dnp and dogs, never you fear! as for particular breeds, i’m not sure— i know they have their on-brand favs, and maybe it’s my bias showing, but i really think they’d adopt a dog instead of buying a specific breed, which means your options are based on like timing and availability. i could see them with a mid-sized breed, i don’t think they should tackle a puppy lol 3-5 years old maybe? and hell, i’m on moving hill(forever home edition) buuuut if they were to move into another rental before they purchased a place, i do think that high on their priorities list would be that the place would be pet-friendly— basically, i think a mammalian pet is sooner rather than later :’) in the next five years?

and they’d probably be balanced in terms of responsibility, i think — phil feeds them bc he’s up getting his coffee, dan takes them to the groomer to ensure phil doesn’t get infected w 2014 branding and request a lion’s mane cut, they both go on walks bc fresh air is good for everyone :))
