Admittedly, the floaty limbs characters can at times be a little awkward, so I've been having fun imagining Magolor like this!
I imagine floating being some kind of evolutionary adaption to space. That comes with not getting dizzy from spinning either due to lack of balance coordination sensory or something. Which also probably means he can't stand on ground.

Introducing the mascot, Magonyan! The Yo-Kai version of Magolor.
He's a C-rank Fire Attribute Yo-Kai freed by Nate from the Crank-a-kai. His inspiriting causes lying when you don't mean to. His Skill is Resistance which reduces effects from enemy inspirits. His Soultimate is Bombs of Fury, which is basically just a fire attribute Paws of Fury.
There's gonna be a MASSIVE lore dump under the cut if you wanna read.
Over 200 years ago, he died being mauled by a dog, thus losing his limbs. After that, he discovered that no one could see him and thought he could do whatever he wanted without consequences. He snuck into a village altar and stole the crown of a tyrant, the Overlord's Crown. He put it on and fused with it, creating a powerful Yo-Kai named Overnyan.
Magonyan thought it was the coolest thing ever, wanting to test his new form's power. But little did he know, the crown he fused with was taken over by a Wicked Yo-Kai. It took over his body and wreaked havoc on the village. But before it could cause any more destruction, a little pink Legendary Yo-Kai stopped him, and he was sealed away in the Crank-a-kai.
While sealed away, he felt all alone. No one to talk to, alone with his thoughts in a tiny cramped capsule. A decade later, he heard a voice, a new Yo-Kai had been sealed away in a capsule just like he was. The voice was rambling on and on about his old master, a shogun who died in a war. Magonyan listened intently to him, even chiming in to make a conversation. They built a close friendship over the years they were trapped despite never seeing each other's faces. Until one day, Magonyan's friend was freed from the Crank-a-kai, leaving him alone once again.
It didn't take long for him to be next, however. He was freed by an average-looking human boy, Nate. Magonyan noticed how much attention Jibanyan got and decided to make a costume of him, even pretending to be him at one point. It was then he discovered his love for making costumes and made a lot of different cosplays of other cat Yo-Kai.
(Unrelated to lore but I imagine if he were in a game, you could customize which costume he wears when befriending different cat Yo-Kai.)
They wound up finding the Overlord's Crown once more but Magonyan only fuses with it if it's a dire situation, he does not want to be taken over by the Wicked again.
Soon, the stuff with Dame Dedtime happened, and Wicked Yo-Kai were taking over Old Springdale and the humans and Yo-Kai in it. In the final fight, Magonyan fused with the crown and dealt the final blow to Dame Demona. Because of this, Kin and Gin sent him back in time to try and change his fate in an attempt to "revive" Dame Dedtime, similar to what they did with Jibanyan and Whisper. He refused, choosing to die again and return to his friends. Reliving his death was scary, but worth being able to be in an afterlife with friends.
After a while, something happened and he ended up losing control as Overnyan again. This caught the attention of Lord Enma and for the sake of Springdale, he sealed him away in the Infinite Inferno. Magonyan ended up fighting the big bosses inside in order to get out, making friends with those wrongly in there along the way who also wanted out. In the end, instead of Wobblewok, he had to fight the Wicked Yo-Kai who had broken free from the crown. When things looked bad, Magonyan picked up the crown and fused with it once more, finally having it under his control. He picked up a sword that had mysteriously appeared on the ground, one that bore a striking resemblance to the Enma Blade, and used it to defeat the Wicked that caused all of this.
(I imagine the fight would be similar to the Yo-Kaiju fight in YKW3 with controlling every action)
After the fight, he's approached by none other than Lord Enma himself. He explains that he sent Magonyan to the Infinite Inferno because he thought he was abusing the power of the crown but knows now that it was the Wicked's doing all along. After he properly apologizes for the misunderstanding, he agrees to let Magonyan out of the Infinite Inferno with the Overlord's Crown and the sword he gave him under the promise that he would use their power responsibly. Magonyan agrees without hesitation and he is let out.
After escaping, he notices that Nate is nowhere to be found in Springdale, his family isn't even in their house. Where could he have gone? And what's Magonyan supposed to do now?

it's the day before my birthday, and my girlfriend surprised me with an outing to a local bird aviary/botanic gardens in the mountains!!!
this was an absolute delight for me, known bird enjoyer, and i got to have many cute and phenomenal birds perched on my head (which i loved and plushie magolor 'tolerated', on account of it being my birthday). i even got to see a nicobar pigeon, which i had never seen in person before!
they also surprised me with an early birthday present to use at the incredible mountain-top picnic spread my gf planned (😭😭) of this extraordinarily cute kirby themed liquid-glitter cup!!
and of course, in true starflung fashion i injured myself twice
once, not three minutes into the outing when my umbrella (which i only require because i'm allergic to both the sun and sunscreen) bit me, and my gf had to run to reception to get me a bandaid. later, when i just totally fkn stacked it on some loose gravel on a slope and i got the umbrella back by slamming it into the ground, along with my knees and one palm. but not the other palm, which was holding plushie magolor, who touched neither gravel nor dirt and never will while i still breathe!

Marx will always be the most hilarious Kirby villain to me.
Tumblr media
He has by far the funniest motivation out of any villain. Most other villains are either big bad conquerors, or are barely sapient as they're just embodiments of hatred/evil, or are minions of greater baddies, or have tragic backstories that led to them being villains, or a combination of the listed criteria there.
But Marx is literally none of that. He just did what he did for the hell of it. He had no real reason to do what he did other than just for kicks and giggles. He did it because he thought it was funny.
Magolor pulled a similar stunt, but he counts as a "big bad conqueror" as he attempted universal conquest. Marx however didn't even care to conquer. He asked Nova to give him enough power to be capable of causing all the mischief he wanted, which is what he literally outright says after making that wish. He just wanted to turn Popstar into his personal stomping ground where he can run rampant with mischief.
This guy is literally the biggest troll of the franchise. I love him for it.
And the funniness doesn't stop there. After defeating him in his boss fight, when you punt him to make him crash onto Nova, you'd think that impact would've been more than enough to kill him....
... But nah, he suddenly comes back out of nowhere in Star Allies! And the lore does even not bother explaining how he survived the Nova impact, LOL. How in the world did he survive that? Unless you're someone that doesn't actually regard dream friends in Star Allies being canon and interpret Marx staying dead. I get that. I personally see it as canon, though.
Another hilarious thing is that he acts as a boss in the credits of the good ending of Heroes in Another Dimension. Basically, after the important stuff is over, Marx then goes right back to being a little shit that causes problems on purpose. Showing that he's still the biggest troll of the franchise.
It's also funny how enigmatic Marx is in the lore. It's unclear whether he actually legitimately redeemed himself or not. I'd say it's valid to headcanon him as either being redeemed or still being a bad guy. Interpretations of Marx vary. They range from being just a silly little dude to still being a literal bastard that's still up to something sinister.
As much as I'd love to see Marx get used in Kirby games more, I actually hope they don't give him a backstory. Or at least, don't give him a tragic one. I think he stands out if he were to stay as just a troll without a sob story, as opposed to many other villains who are more tragic. I bet he'd lie about his origins, too, which would also be funny.
Marx is truly one of the characters of all time, in my opinion. He might not have as much substance behind him as many of the later villains in Kirby, but with the material that we do have, he's truly something.

Why do I see Magolor using his ship to look into other timelines, to which he ends up stumbling upon the timeline where Adeleine and Noir end up fusing into that... thing and ultimately die. (Or any alternate timeline of Apologies really, they're all despressing and messed up!)
He probably turned the screen off pretty fast.
[Requiem For a Mask]
-
Magolor:  "Heheheh... Kirby and friends will be SO surprised when they see these masks!" (And I'm giving them a two for one deal! Am I generous with my genius or what?)
Magolor:  "But what to do for Adeleine? No offense, but from what I've seen, she's pretty boring--...I MEAN! She's a good girl with a stable head on her shoulders!" (...No one heard me say that right??)
Magolor:  "But that makes it hard to imagine a good alternate mask for her. Maybe she gets more interesting in another timeline? Lor...? Do me a favor and search her dimensional signature for me!"
-
BZZT KSSH
Adeleine:"...You're not allowed to leave, Noir." Noir:"...I don't want to leave you either..."
-
Magolor:  "...Hmm? This looks different. ...I'd heard she had a brother, long, long ago. Is that what he looked like before he got turned into...?" (...You know what? I'm not ready to go there...)
-
King Dedede: "Hey, I think these two are still alive...!" Waddle Dee: "But...what are they...?" Meta Knight: "They don't look like anyone else alive on this planet." "Frozen remains of an extinct species?" "But how are they the only ones who..." King Dedede: "What they are is kids in need of help, obviously!" Meta Knight: "...Well, Kirby? It's your decision." (Hey, don't go above me! I'm the king here...!) Kirby: "I say we help them!"
-
Magolor:  "Ahh, yes, yes. And they get rescued! Happily ever after~! Just what I expected from Kirby and friends! ...Only difference I can see with her here is that she's not wearing that hat. Boy! Does that girl have a forehead you could park the Lor on or what? Heh he--"
-
Noir:"Adeleine...!! What did you DO to her?!" Dee Child: "We didn't do anything! We just asked if...!" Dee Child 2: "The ground!! It's turning to snow...?" Adeleine: "N...No...ir..." Dee Child: "Is that...her doing...?" Noir: "Don't TOUCH HER! Stay back...!" "...Stay away...from BOTH of us...!!"
-
Magolor:  "...Hmm? What's happening to...?" "O-Oh... Ohh Stars......."
-
""Is ts He un rk tr sa MD oe rm ea TS he ah nT Jo ut sn tI Mg yn Hi eh at ry tr .e Iv tE He ug rn tu sl IP no MT yt Sn oa uW lI""
-
Magolor:  "......Shut it off, Lor. Back out. Cancel the stream. Now."
- King Dedede: "Don'tcha hear them screamin' in there?!" Meta Knight: "...Of course I can! Which is exactly why we nee--!"
-
BZZT KSHOO

Magolor:  "................"
Magolor:  "...Boring is good, I think."

Magolor:  "Let's stick to boring."

Zero III's dialogue reads: "It hurts more than just my heart. It hurts in my Soul." "I want to plunge everything into the same Darkness."
-
Since we're here, I just wanted to take this moment to regale how hair-pulling it is to write Zero III's dialogue!
It starts with thinking up something somewhat fitting for both siblings to say (Adeleine's dialogue always leaning towards sad or naive, Noir's always leaning towards rage or guilt) then stretching and twisting and trimming till they are the exact same number of characters, which generally means making a good guess, finally flipping Noir's backwards and painstakingly inserting each letter after Adeleine's, one by one, until I realize I was off by ONE letter and have to start the WHOLE PROCESS over again!
This happens about three times per attempt. All to come up with a dialogue quirk that NO ONE can read and that I have to spoil what they say at the bottom of the post anyway! XD
-
Also, Magolor's feelings on Adeleine do not reflect my own!! I think she is a good girl (/genuine) and I apologize for writing up a bunch of timelines where awful things happen to her! (...Looking at my Marx, Magolor, DMK and others, that's kind of a theme with me, isn't it? ^^;;)
And while the sadness will continue for a while longer, I can assure you that Apologies DOES end with Adeleine, Noir, and the rest of their new family both safe and content!

Something I wish a Miraculous reboot does (if there ever is one) is having seasonal villains like Ninjago or Kirby.
Those series kept their main villains (Dedede and Garmadon) till their used all their history potential at the time and decided to redeem them and change them for other stronger and iconic villains or just become a second show for the main new attraction (for example Dedede in the dark matter trilogy being replaced by said evil race and Garmadon in rise of the snakes being replaced by the Serpentine and Pythor) yet Ladybug has been reusing Hawkmoth for way to long (he should have been defeated in 3 seasons like Garmadon or how dedede only had 3 main antagonistic roles till he became a hero) this Can also help the world building like the previous two (for example Ninjago made the serpentine which tied with Master Chen and the cursed realm which tied with Morro which tied with Nadakhan which tied to master Chen right hand man. Or how the dream fountain connected with the ancients which tied with the nova comets which connect with Haltman which connects with Magolor which connects with the ancients. This kind of things make the world more grounded and make feel useful for the old viewers for giving attention in previous seasons).
And is not that hard,I can give 3 villain concepts to replace Hawkmoth for a pair of seasons each.
1-a bunch of evil Kwamis which caused the creation of all miraculous for selfish wishes escaped from their imprisonment made by the good kwamis and order of the miraculous.
2-a mercenary organization tries to get the miraculous using high technology able to manipulate the miraculous Powers.
3-undead hunters which got a sinister fate in hands of miraculous users have been hunting down miraculous users for revenge.
Now let’s connect all:the undead hunters were created by the most evil kwami which got trapped by both Good and Evil kwamis for wanting extinction of existence, the evil kwamis once had plagg as their second in command till he betrayed them after seeing he’s been using the power of destruction wrong, the criminal organization is using the same material the miraculous are made of to power their machines but the leader of that organization also gave the peacock and Butterfly miraculous to Gabriel in the past so Gabriel asks them to get the miraculous till the reveal to Gabriel of Adrien being car noir which undoes the deal but the leader of the mercenary organization becomes pals with the leader of the evil kwamis making a parallel with plagg and Adrien and making a stronger connection between cat noir and the villain and at the end the leaders of the undead hunters were the victims of old creation and Destruction users (which worked with the evil miraculouses) at the time plagg was evil which was also the time Tikki redeemed plagg.
I just expanded the world of miraculous by making them their Pure evil villain, their ancient enemy villain them and modern villain which also connects into the first villain Hawkmoth. Which is more than astruc ever did in 4 seasons!!! And that’s just Some of the ideas I have without including the Minor recurring villains Rhino,Electro,Vulture,Sandman and Scorpion style or the new villains created by the old villains. There’s so much ground yet so little use to it
It's clear to almost everyone in the fandom that Gabriel has long overstayed his welcome as a villain. To the show's credit, the writers have at least tried to introduce other antagonistic characters (Nathalie, Lila, Chloe, Felix, and Tomoe), but all of them are connected to Gabriel in some way or another, and it's painfully obvious that the show prioritizes the "Akuma of the week" formula over focusing on any of those other antagonists.
Also, the ideas you came up with sound really interesting, anon.

Intro Post
This is an ask blog for two Kirby OCs who totally don't ruin our brains, Cari and Floea.
Our main blogs are @hunty-long-legs (Cari's creator) and @mistilteinn-magolor (Floea's creator).
Feel free to send in any kind of ask you'd like, this is for the purpose of getting to know these two better, after all. Just be sure to keep asks PG-13 at most, as we are both minors. So no NSFW or anything like that. Other characters may appear, if the ask calls for them or it makes sense to put them there. Also, remember that Cari and Floea are best friends and adoptive sisters.
Below the cut will be basic info and backstory about the two blorbos <3
Cari
She was a human living on Shiver Star before it froze over, but after it did, she ended up dying from the cold. However, Morpho Knight decided to give her another chance, and made her into a puffball, and she ended up in Dreamland. Floea and Magolor found her crashed down on the ground and Floea took her in. From then on, Cari and Floea ended up adopting each other as sisters. Once, Cari ate an apple that Dark Meta Knight poisoned (because of... another oc) and nearly died, and she met Papi in the Underworld. At a later point Cari fled from Floea's house, where she lived, to the Halberd in fear that she would hurt someone, thanks to random Cari intrusive thoughts. Floea was super worried when she went missing, but was able to find her, and let her stay with Meta Knight because she realized that she had not been feeding her well on accident. Oops. Now, Meta Knight is Cari's adoptive dad, and Kirby is her adoptive brother. She even became Elfilin's girlfriend.
Floea
Floea is part of one of the species of Ancients from the New World and she lived there with her parents. One time her parents went to Lab Discovera without her, bringing along Leon, Fecto Forgo used Leon to murder her parents. Some time later, she fell through one of the occasional portals Forgo was making pre-KatFL and landed in Dreamland. The Mage Sisters found her and took her in, raising her and teaching her ice magic, but when they all started getting a little crazy because of the whole cult thing, Floea got scared that they were going to hurt her or something, and ran away. That's when she met Cari and Magolor. Months later, Floea and Magolor ended becoming boyfriend and girlfriend. He even begrudgingly let Floea keep a doomer that ended up in the Lor one day that Floea named Gear. Also, Beryl (from the light novels) is a huge simp for Floea and once kidnapped and impersonated Magolor to try to get Floea to like him, but that just made her hate him.

Can you do a prompt where the reader gets sent to interdimensional space and ends up finding Magolor, and instead of being mad they’re glad he’s alive?
One blink, and then two.
You're falling, then; falling into that void. You asked for aid to find him. You can't be too mad, really. It really was what you wanted.
(You have to find him, or at least his body, and you have to bear it back home. It's the least you can do for someone you thought was your friend.)
So there you are, in this swirling maestrom of madness. The ground shakes beneath you. You stare into the sky and know it; fear of the divine.
And you press on, knowing that fear, holding it close to your heart. Is his body even intact? Is his mind even there? So many worries as you grasp at yourself in vain, trying to find something no longer there.
You don't like this feeling.
The cloudlike lands of the dimension you've been sent to are strange, but they are not without sense; over time, you learn to navigate them. It is after a while that you find him; you have lost your sense of time from prolonged exposure to this realm.
You spot the brown of his ear first; a spot of colour in this colourless abyss. Then the rest of his form, and as you break out in a run- ah, please let this be real, you also break into sobs.
The embrace you envelop him in is warm, and soft, and nice. It is comfort you have sorely missed. That he is alive is a tale beyond your wildest dreams, and yet you experience it right before you. His hands falter, twitching at your sides, but then he cautiously puts them right over your back, giving a hug in turn.
If this makes you cry he does not remark on it.

FREEBIE QUESTION, BUT IT'S FOR ALL OF YOUR FANDOM CHARACTERS AND ORIGINAL CHARACTERS
SPILL THE TEA TO ME, SIS!!!
HFJSI GIRRRLLLL YOU'RE OPENING PANDORA'S BOX
In terms of main Kirby OCs (fandom/franchise characters):
Eave, Twyla, Fintan, Slinx, Squire, King Orpheus, Jesse, Ducky and the Dusters, Princess Alatariel, Nimue & Gilroy, and Malacai
I love all my goobers to pieces! And Orpheus, oh Orpheus has taken over my life. I no longer have control over my story because of him. It's his story now, and I'm the lowly servant who's constantly subjected to his demands for me to rewrite things 😭 I've rewritten his intro episode at least 5 times, and now he's injected himself into DotS:MMM. Orpheus PLEASE I NEED A BREAK— I WAS JUST FINISHING PART 6 IN SCRIPT FORMAT YOU JERK
Thia man's made me rewrite his ENTIRE BACKSTORY THREE TIMES! And now I have to rewrite his WHOLE NOVEL SERIES. YES THE WHOLE NOVEL DEDICATED TO JUST HIM. I have to rewrite it from THE GROUND UP. JUST AS I FINISHED CHAPTER 2.
CHAPTER 2 HAS BEEN COMPLETELY SLAMMED OUT OF CANON. I spent 4 months writing it and he just went "mmmm nah, not canon". 20+ pages. TWENTY. PLUS. PAGES. Right in the trash. Gone. Reduced to atoms. I love Orpheus. But he likes to make me work. I'm not allowed to relax 😭 and what's worse is that's also in character for him 😭😭😭😭 I can't control this man, he controls MEEEE *SOB*
Woes aside– Main official characters that I manage in DotS are the following:
Meta Knight, Galacta Knight, Sir/King Arthur, Magolor, Kirby (shared), and Bandana Waddle Dee (shared)
My sis and co-writer @starlightfyre handles other officials in our AU! She's got King Dedede, Taranza, all of Arthur's knights (Falspar, Dragato, etc.), and more!
They're all pretty neat! :D
Original character and original content rambling below the cut here, if anyone is interested in my OG projects:
In terms of active proper OCs, my main cast has been demoted to just being doodle buddies and officially retired from being a series. All my OCs are sorta on standby until I have some story ideas for them! My mains under World Jumpers are these goobers:
Oswald, Tempest, Blaize, Asoné, Raymond, and Xylea! Ozzy and Tempest are the protagonists with the rest being secondary!
I've wrestled with their story for so long that I decided to throw in the towel and admit defeat early this year. It's been 14 long years with these guys collectively, and no actual plot or meaning to their story? Yeah no time to shelve it for good. I have a very fleshed out world for them, but it's really detailed to the point where it's kinda convoluted, but it's been set in stone for so long that I can't undo it without shattering everything
So I figured it'd just be better to start fresh with something else later. I love WJ, but after the history I've had with WJ, it's better that I leave it to rest. The world and story was too big for just me, and I tried for years to find a partner as passionate about the world as I was, but none were. I lost my passion after getting burned out due to stress writing and drawing everything. I love WJ, love my characters and world, but it's a story that never wanted to be told
Since then I've sort of been at a loss on what to do next in terms of original projects. I've got loads of WIP ideas and concepts from over the years, but none have really jumped up at me like DotS has for years 😭
I have a lot of OCs, like A LOT. I had a list and there's like easily 100+ named characters in WJ's universe alone
The others are much smaller! These are all my WIP OG stories:
Project: "Listen" | Animated anthro film inspired by "Cats Don't Dance", focuses on Kaeden who is a mute genet whose dream is to be an actor, despite having a job as a director easily lined up for him. Faces a bit of adversity in a market that hankers for a voice; he becomes friends with a frustrated actress who's been locked into the same kind of roles for years, and wishes to do more, who becomes a voice for Kaeden when he needs it most (I aspire to have an actual deaf/mute person be Kaeden's voice through sign language, since animators will nees references for his dialogue; they'll be put in the credits as his voice because they are! LOVE!)
Project: "Dragon Rider" | Sort of a chosen-one story with a twist, focuses on the struggle between duty and desire. Female protagonist is the prophesized reincarnation of a figure that's meant to bring her tribe into a new golden age, but when she bonds with an unexpected and common kind of dragon (and not the big gaudy one they expected), she faces a dilemma: follow the wishes of her people or her own heart?
Project: "Willemina" | Sci-fi detective story that was originally a spinoff of WJ, so it's set in the same universe. Main protag is non-binary hoomin (human-like species of mine), Willemina, a former space ranger gone private detective investigating the mysterious murder of a local guardian. Will befriends the late guardian's companion, a sweet little Weapon Spirit, and sets out to solve the mystery together (and discovering said weapon spirit's very useful defensive abilities)
Most everyone from each respective story has concept art or complete designs!

Headmate Directory
Warning: This directory contains spoilers for our fictive's sources!!
Four Swords Manga Links
Green (any pronouns), Blue (he/him), Red (he/they), Violet (he/they)
Tumblr media
They developed when we were bodily about 11 years old, they're all 16. The four of them are found family siblings, not biologically siblings. They're also not inherently siblings through their memories, they wouldn't see another Four Swords Link fictive as a sibling by association. The four of them work best as a unit and will often say the same thing at the same time, hence the four links tag. None of them respond to the name Link, and there's no Shadow in our system.
Green is very much a leader type. He's our system's gatekeeper. He goes by any pronouns, he's genderqueer and aromantic.
Blue is an emotional alter. Out of all of our Zelda members, Blue is the most active fronter. He's a softie but quick to act tough. He's a big brother type. He goes by he/him and he's bisexual. He's partners with another system's Magolor!
Red is another emotion holding alter. He's optimistic and mischievous. He goes by he/they and isn't comfortable with any gender or sexuality labels (for example nonbinary, cis male, trans woman, homosexual, bisexual)
Violet, or Vio is the most grounded and observant of the four, usually you find him or Green trying to bring us to reason. Despite that he's still very playful and smug, mostly using his powers to tease others. He goes by he/they, he's nonbinary and asexual homoromantic.
The four of them are very canon compliant with their memories, except they never fused back into Link at the end of the manga.
Link (he/they/it)
Tumblr media
Link is likely the first fictive our system developed. He split from Toon Link but he has no specific source game or canon memories. They're completely nonverbal and are currently working on their self insert zelda au (pictured above) called Aria of the Stars. We're unsure of his age.
Wind (he/him)
Tumblr media
Wind formed when we were 12, and he is 12 himself. He's been here before we read Linked Universe, but he liked the outfit and adopted some of the traits and memories from it. Wind is genderqueer and isn't comfortable giving himself a romantic label.
He's canon divergent, both from Linked Universe and Wind Waker. However he does remember Not Like You as well and those memories are in tact. A notable canon divergence of his is that he's selectively mute but mostly very talkative, . He has a familial sibling relationship with his Tetra, hence Wind Waker Zelink being on the blacklist.
Legend (he/bee)
Tumblr media
Legend is 14 years old. He split from Linked Universe but he only holds memories from the early comics and doodles. Despite his lack of Linked Universe centric memories, he does have very heavy source memories of the games he's in, especially A Link to the Past and Link's Awakening. He is panromantic asexual and a trans man.
Legend is especially canon divergent. Unlike his older age in Linked Universe, A Link to the Past took place when he was 8 and he's 14 post all of his adventures. He is twin siblings with his source Zelda. He is partners with another system's Sylvester Ashling and is parental to our Little Nightmares headmates.
Hero (he/bee)
Art by churomo
Tumblr media
Hero is a split of a younger Legend, though they don't share all the same memories (for example, he's friends with his Ravio, Legend did not get along with his). Hero's source memories end around Triforce Heroes, he's 10 years old.
Hero acts a lot more like canon Link, he's a very silly and cheery kid. He remembers most events the same way Legend does, but he walked away from those experiences more positively than Legend did.
Fable (she/her)
Tumblr media
Fable is 14 years old, she's Legend's older twin sister. Most of her personality is pulled from her Smash animations and voice rather than her games or Linked Universe fan content. However she does have memories of her games and where she was while Legend was on his adventures.
Revali (he/him)
Tumblr media
Revali is our ✨Rito Champion✨ and he earns that title! He works very hard for us and the people around us, usually being the first to speak up when we or others are in an uncomfortable position. He's a good protector.
He's very particular about his image and how he's portrayed, he has a lot of issues with the english mistranslations present in Breath of the Wild, but still he's very calm and collected.
Little Nightmares Kids
Six (they/them), Mono (he/it), Runaway Kid (he/him), Noone (she/her)
Art by little sunny and cosmo-clown
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Six is 9 years old. They've been here the longest out of everyone, they have about a year on Mono and RK. Six is canon compliant, the only extra memories they really have are old roleplays. They really enjoy music and drawing.
Mono is 8 years old. He's not necessary canon divergent but he does have memories of things not confirmed or denied in the games. Mono is best friends with Six and the glue of the kids little friend group, always dragging RK and Noone along with them.
RK or the Runaway Kid is 11 years old. He's the most canon divergent out of any of our alters. In his source world he had been on the maw since he was a small child. He split many of his memories from w1lmutt's au.
Noone is also 9 years old! She loves to explore and tell everyone about her observations. Her and her memories are canon compliant as well :]

Chapter 4: Landscapes of an Old Era
“What the heck?! What in the Original One is going on?! Ughh.. this is not how it works.” Magolor grumbles, then finally feels a shift. “Finally! And here I thought-!” Before Magolor finished his sentence, a Poison Jab from behind struck him. Not only did it draw small amounts of blood, but it also left some poison.
Magolor collapsed to the ground, poisoned. “W-wa?! Magolor?” Sailor stuttered, seeing him collapse. She immediately caught him, then saw the wound left by Poison Jab. “S-Sir Meta Knight! He’s wounded!” Sailor says, not noticing the poison left behind. “Suppress the wound, Sailor! Do you have a-” Meta Knight was cut off by Magolor. “I’m fine. Owie. It’s an everyday problem at this poinnt. I feelin’ fiine like a good ’ol grass type” he says to Meta but the wound and poison combined made him collapse… on the knight “Does this look fine to you, Magolor?” Was the last thing Magolor heard before he fell asleep on Meta Knight. “...fine, huh?” he says, deadpanning. But since their attention was on Magolor, they did not realize that the attacker was still around, and struck the nearest of the trio, Sailor Dee. Unfortunately for them though Sailor brought out a comically large Ultra Sword. “What the fu-” was the only thing heard before the comically large Ultra Sword swung down on him, courtesy of the one he tried to take out of the equation. “I came prepared! Did you seriously think that you can get the drop on me?!”
…she ultimately received no response, while Meta Knight, whose eyeballs are ready to pop out of their sockets, looked at her in disbelief. He saw his crew member holding an extra large Ultra Sword. “Note to self: don’t piss off Sailor.”  he thought, then seeing a seemingly dead body of a monkey thing. Unfortunately, it was also the same time when Magolor woke up, still disoriented from the surprise attack earlier, tried to stand and needed support. Meta Knight offered to help and he surprisingly took it. “How are you even up in the first place? You took a lot of-” Magolor cut Meta Knight off by bluntly saying, “Pecha Berries, my love.” he said unknowingly flirting. While Magolor didn’t really get what he said, Meta Knight understood it totally and blushed hard.
“D-don’t say something like that you… you dummy!” Meta says, still blushing, and quickly punches Magolor on the cheek to fully wake him up. “Ugh.. what a wake up slap. Whose great idea was that?” Magolor spoke, fully awake and aware. “Sir Meta Knight’s idea! It’s because you flir-!” Meta Knight immediately put his hand over Sailor’s mouth. “Nothing to notice here.” He says, which Magolor saw as a lie. “Umm.. Meta? I know you your lying.” He said, much to the surprise of the knight. “What do you mean?”
“You and me, private talk NOW.” Magolor states, eating a pecha berry and dragging Meta away.
Sailor looks at them, confused at how Magolor recovered easily. Little did she know, the monkey that she attacked and knocked out was starting to come to. And when she felt movement, it was too late to fight back. The monkey knocked her out immediately, although the Waddle Dee had proven to be useful to him, as a hostage for that damn ogre. “Oh little Ogerpon, things won’t be the same this time.” Munkidori said, looking at the direction that the duo went and left a note for them saying, “I have your friend, ogre. If you know what’s best for you, go to the caves.” Then he left.

Kirby x Deltarune: A Gamer's Fever Dream - EX Mode Final (and and Secret) Final Boss Concept
In the EX Mode, Galacta Knight would absorb the fountain and turn into "Aeon Neo". Then, Morpho Knight would come along just to get smacked by his shield. If you "defeat" or spare him, he will deem you worthy of keeing the fountain's power and reset the timeline to make things stable again. The dialogue may vary depending on your choice. There is a special ending to where you can "betray" him and he will be unwary and you get the chance to choose whoever makes the final strike: Magolor, Elfilin, or Gooey. Regardless of who you choose, whoever absorbs the power will try to seal the fountain, but only to get desintigrated by Morpho Knight. Morpho Knight then stabs two swords in the ground. Regardless of who you chose, wherever Gooey, Magolor, and even Elfilin ware standing will spawn a dark fountain. From here, they are all transformed into black entities resemebling their corrupted counterparts: Chaos Elfilis, Magolor Soul. Gooey will share resemblance to both Zero Two, Dark Nebula and Dark Matter Swordsman (He will have Zero's shape and wings, Sowrdman's cape, hair, and a corrupted mixture of the Tri-Star from Kirby's Squeak Squad, and the Rainbow Sword from Kirby's Dreamland 2, plus the elemental abilities from Dark Nebula, but better and more diverse.) From here, if you did Pacifist, you can pray to Void (not Void Termina), the equivalent to God in Kirby's Star Allies and he will heal and aid you in battle and from here, you can eventually defeat the four of them (Morpho Knight, Gooey, Elfilin, and Magolor), they will be knocked out due to Void's attacks, and Morpho will give the power to Kirby and Kirby will seal the fountain. If you do the Neutral Route, you will get the same outcome as the Pacifist, but Void will only drop Super Abilities for Kirby (and even Kris) to use. Void will also strike the four beings with lighting leaving them all partially paralyzed and Kirby will slash them individually and they will go to normal, but partially paralyzed. Morpho Knight will then seal the fountain. In the Weird Route, you won't get any help, Kirby, Dedede, and Berdly would get knocked back by Morpho Knight and left in the air in free fall, unconscious. Bandana Dee and Kris would also move themselves, Adeleine, and Ribbon out the way and the soul will exit out of Kris and override Adeleine's soul. From here you would be able to force Adeleine to force everyone to use their strongest attacks causing the four beasts to collapse and turn into the fountains and disappear leaving nothing. The soul with then exit out of Adeleine, causing her to collapse. The soul would then enter into Kris, and Kirby, Dedede, and Berdly would be free from the control Morpho Knight had. Kris would then try and seal the fountain, but only for Meta Knight to swoop in, grab the soul, and restart time. In the Neutral and Pacifist Route, Toriel would scold Kris and Berdly for destroying the bedroom.

I've thought about Kirby's "Dream Friends" in Kirby Star Allies for a while now. so, I thought I'd talk about them. I really enjoy this game, so why not bring it up again? -Bandana Waddle Dee: The joke boss turned hero himself, and about time too! This lovely little dude is a great time to play around with, and can have elements added to his spear to pack an extra punch! He's just a treasure. -King Dedede: Yup, He is gonna be here. also, he really needs to see a doctor because that much possession can't be good for your body. either way, it's the same great hammer-slamming, belly-flopping, ground-pounding moveset you've come to expect. -Meta Knight: I can't do this dude justice by talking about him. Listen to the song "Meta Knight's Revenge" to see what I mean. -Rick, Kine and Coo: Now we're talking! These three are like a Swiss army knife, they can do just about anything. Fire? Check. Water? Check. Wind? Check. Rock? Check, Ice? Ehhh only underwater. but not only can they solve almost any puzzle, Rick can even Goomba-stomp enemies! Hows that for utility? -Marx: ...Dream Friend. Dream Friend. Maybe I missed something between Marx being shot into Nova and now, but I don't remember any friendliness between him and Kirby. Also, according to the pause menu he took over the world because he was hungry, pretty funny stuff. anyway, He is one of the most powerful early characters, worthy of a final boss for sure. -Gooey: Doesn't know why he's here, which is understandable. it's so nice to have Gooey back, this Dark Matter who changed his ways is a decent all rounder with some powerful attacks. it's Gooey. not much more to say other than he's a good little guy. -Adeline & Ribbon: Man, these two bring back nostalgia... ahem, These two are actually the best characters in this game! not kidding, while their health is abysmal, their guard makes them invincible, and they are the best Healers by far. if you go on the defensive, even the hardest challenges can be cheesed, if you like that sort of thing. they also have unique paint interactions as well. -Dark Meta Knight: I still don't get why he's here. According to the pause menus, he's only here for personal gain. He is also NOT a direct copy of Meta Knight, using multiple mirror-based attacks that take up large amounts of the screen, he's so powerful in fact, he might even be able to split someone into four! (hehehe...) -Daroach: Fun fact, in Kirby Mass Attack, he acts as a hint system for finding treasure. Daroach may be a friend now, but he is still a thief, and his entire Squeak Squad (yes that's their name) are apart of his move set! he is overall great to play, not to mention his feet do little tippy taps when he walks. Also, their theme is a absolute bop! -Magolor: After that honestly horrible apology in the form of a theme park, Magolor is here to help! He is just an absolute BEAST who has tons of power packing. when it comes to power, I'd say they are the second strongest in the game, which is saying a lot! not only that, but they also use that (apparently useless) in game currency from Super Kirby Clash to blow up opponents! -Taranza: This dude has some untreated trauma we need to address... some other time. His attacks aren't too notable, but he can use a vision of his (now deceased) friend to strike down foes with lightning! how's that for kid's game? trust me, between this, the death cult, and the Giant Elder God, this series has been darker than most can expect. not even mentioning the giant death angel eye! -Susie: In the Japanese version, she's here to unite everyone with the power of science in peace and harmony. which is a nice sentiment, if it weren't for the fact the English version states she's here to continue her father's original plan. great. anyways, she is overall just fun to play, with a full on mech to play with! for her base attack, she wields a gun. -There's another. the strongest, but that isn't my tale to tell...
While Star Allies is without a doubt in my mind the easiest game in the series, there's still a lot of charm to it. it's a great celebration of history and it will always be dear to my heart.

[IN-BETWEEN CHAPTERS 1-2: FINALE]
tw// eyestrain, bright colors. (also, not a tw, but this is a Very Long Post.)
Upon hearing Prince Fluff's voice, Ester turned around, looking at him in a mixture of annoyance and obvious impatience. He grumbled, placing a hand on his hip.
Tumblr media
Prince Fluff: "You don't get to just rip my arm off, kidnap my friends and run away! You need to--"
Ester interrupted him with a scoff.
Ester: "Yeah, yeah, I know, you're mad. But what I'm doing is way more important than your stupid emotions. Now do me a favor..."
Ester brought a hand up to his amulet, which began to glow a bright purple.
Tumblr media
With that, the light from the amulet shot outwards, forming around Prince Fluff in an orb shape and lifting him into the air.
Prince Fluff: "What the--what is--"
Before he could finish his sentence, the orb sent a shockwave throughout his body, and a smaller blue light appeared in front of him, as if being drained from the purple one.
Tumblr media
Hyness and Kirby, watching the scene unfold, were left momentarily speechless. Kirby's usual pink color had continued to fade away, leaving a duller shade behind.
Kirby: "F-Fluff, poyo!!"
Kirby called out as his friend fell to the ground, unconscious. The purple light had faded, while the blue one absorbed itself into Ester's amulet, causing him to momentarily pause before letting out a small 'hm'. Then, as if nothing happened...
Tumblr media
Ester...shot a yarn whip of his own out of his hand? Upon seeing this, Hyness knew what that meant. He knew he recognized the symbol on Ester's hood...it meant that...Ester was Spirit Matter. And the amulet he possessed was one of many artifacts his species was known to search for...an Absorption Amulet.
What this meant was that the owner of the amulet could drain a small bit of magic energy from someone in order to permanently copy their abilities. Unlike Kirby's Copy Ability, which served as a temporary power-up, Absorption Amulets could store this energy forever, giving the owner access to a wide variety of abilities at any given time.
However, it didn't steal the ability from the victim completely--it was like copying the data needed to perform a function, while allowing the victim to still have access to their own abilities as well. Still, knowing this now...how many different abilities did Ester have access to? Before he could say anything on the subject, Ester had made the yarn whip disappear and turned back around, continuing down the hall with Kirby and Hyness in tow, not saying anything to break the tense silence.
Meanwhile...Zan had caught up to Prince Fluff, but when she did, he was already unconscious--and the others were nowhere to be seen. She was left alone with her unconscious friend, feeling guilty that she couldn't catch up to him in time.
[END OF IN-BETWEEN CHAPTERS 1-2.]
[Prince Fluff is no longer available for questions until he wakes up (don't worry, this will be during Chapter 2, but not right away). Everyone else is still available, but as the chapter starts, the focus will be on Ester and those with him--as well as finally introducing someone else. Magolor, Fran & Flam are still on their way, they're almost at Jambandra but not quite.]
[CHAPTER 2 WILL BEGIN ON SATURDAY, 7/22/23.]

god i love when the music in cutscenes is synced to the visuals. you know what i'm not even gonna pretend that this isn't about kirby so here's a (non-comprehensive, because i'd just paste the whole list of cutscenes otherwise) list of moments that live in my brain rent-free
under the cut because the post got long
[a visitor from afar] when kirby gets their Call To Adventure Moment and the super ability theme is played on those low strings. it gives me CHILLS for how innocuous a moment it is. also, it gives me the feeling of... fate? like this is the moment that sets everything off, which starts the entire story (which it kinda is, but knowing that isn't the same as how dramatic this feels).
[let me explain everything] the cymbal(? triangle?) hits as the master crown falls off landia and skips on the ground a little. and GOD the minor key title theme on low strings kicking in as magolor descends to signal Hey, He's The Villain! and of course the drums as landia walks up to kirby which is so impactful in the absence of music. it makes me feel that the sound of landia's footsteps really were thunderous, in the shocked state everyone was in.
[final battle ex] that little tune that plays during magolor ex's transformation sequence. it's a minor key variation of the motif you hear right as the lor enters halcandra! it's going full circle - entering halcandra with the cheerful major variation and leaving with the foreboding minor one. i think the foreboding aspect of this works well both as a precursor to the final battle for the player, and for magolor's fate (like he's sealing his fate by tapping into this power).
[each to his own world] i promise this is the last rtdl one. anyways i just wanted to talk about the drum hits as the landias fly across the screen; not a lot of analysis here, it just hits hard i think. oh but i will mention that ending with the first motif in a visitor from afar (aka road to victory) does such a good job at nicely tying the game up music-wise. i'm a sucker for bookending!
[waking to a flowery coup!] taranza's theme aside (which is wonderful) i'm a big fan of the music happening during dedede's abduction. the cymbal crashes at kirby's shocked face and when taranza breaks out through the roof fit perfectly. green greens on low strings does the same job as the super ability theme in a visitor from afar ('fate'/'this is the moment' feeling) and i LOVE the way the cutscene ends - with the same motif every boss battle starts with. it really does feel like the boss battles are logical continuations of this cutscene not only visually but also musically (and the particular bit of green greens they chose here is also the main one used in revenge of the enemy, too!)
[sectonia fight] okay this one isn't in the theater but it'd be a CRIME not to talk about the intro to sectonia's fight. the slow, dramatic organ over the zoom-in on kirby and the unconscious dedede, keeping the destruction already wrought in sight at all times, the shot of the budding dreamstalk in front of the huge moon. the music speeding up in a repeated chromatic pattern that gives the feeling of a buzzing insect while simultaneously accounting for the action picking up as sectonia flies into view. and then holding the note juuust long enough for the healthbar to fill up, so the music (now with added drums!) hits RIGHT as the fight kicks off... perfection. i wish this part was included in the true arena tbh
[she who holds the stars] the piano in this is absolutely menacing, it gives me chills. i LOVE the way lower notes are used like a drumbeat as the music picks up, the cymbal/triangle sound matching the flash of light as sectonia fuses with the dreamstalk (and with the light that is expelled from it). that full orchestra kicking in as she explains her plan is SO cathartic after that section of quiet, light music while still being threatening and fitting for a final boss.
[katrc opening] i love the bit where elline is being chased by the grab hands! the grabs are synced to the music, and the frantic piano run works great for elline spiraling out of control and falling. which, speaking of, idk what exactly makes the noise for when she hits the ground (i think low notes on piano?), but it sounds so impactful and painful. like, it makes me wince when i watch this scene
[first contact] when kirby wakes up and we hear green greens for the first time - it's been changed! we get the first three notes of green greens, and then we get the haltmann works theme in the green greens style (the repeated first note before going up - try listening to that bit, and removing it in your head to see what i mean), before going back to green greens. it's green greens but interrupted and changed by the hwc theme, perfectly describing what's going on in the story. absolutely one of my favorite kirby music moments ever because it's such a subtle change but also such a strong, evocative one.
[a star is born] the opening synth in intermezzo without a leader slowly growing louder as the halberd gets closer and closer and finally dips as it's pulled in by gravity is genuinely so cool. the visuals do such a good job of giving an emphasis on the sheer scale of the battle and the music complements it quite well.
[restored to life] i really like the way the hwc theme fades into the halberd's! when kirby first sees the halberd, they're playing at the same time. then the halberd theme takes over entirely. the hwc theme gets entirely cut off, not getting to resolve, which almost feels like a celebration of meta knight being in full control of himself again. the fact that the halberd theme taking control is in time with a cut to meta knight's face, plus the halberd theme going into the kirby's triumphant return part, only adds to this feeling
[starfall: a rude awakening] the jamba theme as hyness walks up to the jamba heart, it holding that last note as he attempts to break the seal, and finally going almost completely silent for a brief moment as the heart spears fly out. then the cymbal crash into the main theme as the heart pieces go flying everywhere. it's not super deep but it is very satisfying to watch.
[star allies: return from afar] man the soft piano + some sort of vibraphone/glockenspiel or something version of kirby's triumphant return as the warp star takes off gets me every time (fits perfectly too, with what's happening! kirby is indeed having a triumphant return!). and GOD that final quiet chord as kirby waves at the camera makes me emotional
[the king's turn to shine] dedede's theme starting as he makes his decision, followed by the trumpet playing as the waddle dee starts flying (and it only ends after they're caught by kirby). then, the instruments fading out with the soft piano bit as the doors slowly close, as if the metaphorical door to dedede is closing alongside the physical one. the note is held, but fading, as the doors slowly close, which makes that low note as the doors shut feel so loud when it happens. it really feels final
[no night is eternal] i LOVE the rendition of a new wind for tomorrow played after elfilin's sacrifice. at first it's a very light version without much harmony as kirby and bandana dee look over dream land, like a sort of "welcome back, the adventure is over and the world is saved" vibe. then a low string note is played as kirby looks down dejectedly and the harmony becomes melancholy. until the light of the portal appears, which is synchronized with a high note and followed by much happier-sounding chords. it's a lot of very subtle changes but ones which do wonders for how surprisingly emotional this scene is
