Is it just me or does Altaïr look like a twink??? Like I was rewatching ac1 when I noticed that Altaïr doesn't seem to have visible muscles compared to Ezio and Connor, heck! Even Desmond seems more muscular than him???

Nonny, I would like to thank you for sending this ask. The idea that Altaïr is a twink made me laugh so hard my brain could only go “jkansfmbajfhsbabfhbasjkf” for a bit.

Anyway, @ma-du and I talked about Altaïr, Ezio, Ratonhnhaké:ton, and Desmond’s body type in this post and, yeah, among the four, Altaïr has muscles but he’s definitely leaner than them.

My headcanon is that he has a body more similar to a long-distance runner or gymnast and is a lightning bruiser, using speed to add force to his strikes.

Because… I mean… how else could he have bitchslapped this armored dude so hard he toppled out of the screen?

In other words:

Altaïr uses the power of physics to topple dudes in armor.

I saw that post comparing the biotypes of our boy Desmond's main ancestors again, and now all I can think of is that a) Connor can benchpress Altair, Ezio and Desmond at the same time; and b) Altair is so small and light that Ezio can pick him up by the scruff of his hood and shake him like he's a assassin kitten lol

By the way, I see Desmond as having the body of a pole vaulter – firm pectoral and shoulder muscles, sleek, defined arms, slim waist, thighs capable of crushing a couple of watermelons...

He's a little shorter than Connor, by the way, and he's at least twenty pounds heavier than Altair.

I would just like to add this, while canon does state Desmond and all his ancestors are 6’, I refuse to believe it. For me, from shortest to tallest, it would be:

Altaïr → Ezio → Desmond → Ratonhnhaké:ton with Ezio, Desmond, and Ratonhnhaké:ton only have a few centimeters difference between them. But Altaïr is definitely shorter than any of them.

Also, Altaïr is definitely the lightest of the four of them and I see him more as a lightning bruiser. His strength comes from how fast he can strike ‘cause that’s the only reason I can think of to how he could bitchslap a guard with enough force to topple them.

I remembered @fanworldbuildingfun’s note of Altaïr being a “Kinetic Master”, using the power of physics to own everyone and I absolutely love it.

Desmond having the body of a pole vaulter would make sense as well because the strength of an Assassin isn’t meant to focus on brute force but through speed and surprise attacks.

Although, yeah, I can totally see Ratonhnhaké:ton benchpressing all three of them and he has a body similar to a strongarm.

Ezio, I think, would either have the body of a swimmer or an MMA that focuses heavily on boxing or judo.

Altaïr would have a body more similar to a long-distance runner or gymnast, relying on his speed to make up for his lack of brute force (although this doesn’t mean he’s not muscular, he’s just leaner than the others).
