MLP:FiM Movie Theories

I mentioned in my last post that I a few theories regarding this movie and quite a few unanswered questions. Last post was about questions, this post will be about theories answering thise questions.

My first main question was regarding the timeline of events and certain characters that should appear if the time when the movie takes place is consistent with the airing schedule. And I say this because in the end of Equestria Girls Sports Competition (or whatever it was called) the ponyverse Twilight come through the portal saying that just went through "this crazy time travel thing" and was only then geting Sunset's messages. At the time this EG movie was released, we didnt know what Twilight was referring to. At least, not until the season 5 finale where Twilight tries to stop Starlight from preventing the mane 6 getting their cutie marks. My point is, the mlp episodes and the eg movies didn't exactly line up between the airing schedule and when they happened in universe. So who's to say its any different with this movie? Perhaps it does happen before the season 7 finale, perhaps it happens after. Or perhaps, it happens during the season 4 finale.

First Theory:

You see, I recall watching this youtube video awhile back that mentioned in one of the mlp books it says "Tirek was a cover up". As in the magic/soul sucking beast from Tarturus that sucked the magic from almost everypony in Equestria was used in order to COVER SOMETHING UP. What could that possibly be? Well, it would have to be other magic sucking creature wouldn't it? What is the whole thing with the movie happens, everyone is saved. But everyone is left worrying. What is outside of Equestria? Are they even safe? Why couldn't Celestia protect us? What other dangers await us outside of Equestria?

So what is Celestia and Luna wiped everyone's memory of the Storm King and of the stories of the outside lands and replaced it with Tirek? Most of the citizens would only remember being without a soul for a few days so this is easy enough to accomplish. Then you get a clone of some sort (maybe Pinkie's) and turn it into Tirek. The mane 6 also have their memory wiped and thus face this as a new threat. Discord knows what to do and nudged them on the right path and plays his part because he's already lived through this event. I imagine becuase he isnt a pony, he memory can't be wiped. The mane 6 save the day, Twilight gets a castle, and all the ponies of Equestria are content that the magic of friendship can save them and no outside force could ever destroy that.

Second Theory

My second theory is that the movie takes place in an alternate world from the show. We already know that alternate worlds exist, and the movie animation is different from the show. (I know the real life reasons for this, but just stick with me) What if, in the movie's universe, the magical table that detects friendship problems doesn't or that Spike never amended his friendship with the Dragons and the Changlings. The result is that yes, the changlings and dragons go to war. They are distracted and so the Storm King is able to take over both of those species (which I highly doubt could happen. Have you seen the size of ember's dad?!?!). The griffens and the yaks aren't considered allies either for the same reason. The magic table never notified the ponies of the problem and thus the ponies couldn't rely on them for help. The friendship magic of Equestria isn't strong enough because of this and so, the country falls.

I feel like I had more to say, like another theory I had thought of... Oh well, if I think of something else I'll add it here later.
