Hi everyone,

I just wanted to come on here and let you all know that Instagram have disabled my alwaysmarilynmonroe account. I’ve had it since 2012 and was the third fan page for Marilyn on there.

To say I’m heartbroken would be an understatement, but apparently they’ve been deactivating a lot and mine was sadly one of them this week.

I’ve tried to appeal and have had it declined and it doesn’t look like I can do anything else. I just wanted to let you all know as you’ve all been so supportive for the last decade. 🩷

IG is terrible. my IP address and device got banned because I was using a VPN, which I didn't know was against their policy. THEY sent me a list of instructions to follow to get my account back...I followed the instructions....never got a response back and my account was never reinstated.

Ugh, that’s awful.

A lot of MM accounts have been getting deleted for quite awhile now.

Some of the very best are getting deleted….alwaysmarilynmonroe, ourmarilynmonroe…many others. Some that have been around for years. It doesn’t make any sense and it’s very, very frustrating especially when Instagram won’t respond.

Do you have a favourite MM page here on Tumblr?

I love them all for different reasons. But I have two favorites:

1) alwaysmarilynmonroe - I think they were on here before I was (I’ve been on for 7ish years or so). Love the pictures and they are very kind 😊

2) perfectlymarilynmonroe - I feel like I know a lot about Marilyn...till I visit this page 😂 They are so knowledgeable! Always adding new quotes or facts. They are wonderful! You’ll learn a lot if you follow them 😊

Ok so I’m 16 and really love Marilyn’s style. How can I incorporate it into my vibe without looking costumey or too dated?

I’m probably not the best person to ask. I know very little about fashion/style. Marilyn loved pretty basic colours in the 50s - black, white, beige. Then she became a big fan of Pucci in the 60s. Maybe alwaysmarilynmonroe could help more than I can lol. Sorry!
