Hello!

I’ve been registered here for many years, but started using this blog only recently, since before my main platform was twitter.

My name is Anne, l'm 22. English isn’t my native language so I can make mistakes but will be grateful for your advice! Also, I studied and have some experience in French, Italian, Latin.

I write poetry (in Russian) and fanfiction, make historical inspired cosplays. Currently on my last year of philosophy, write articles and research in fields of vampires, philosophical anthropology, thanatopoetics and philosophical aspects of art history.

Main fandoms are Vampire Chronicles (only books), Tanz der Vampire, Three musketeers, Versailles tv series and Neil Jordan’ Borgias. Also, I love 70’ shoujo and shonen-ai (like Window of Orpheus, Song of the wind and the trees, Patalliro).

Disclaimer! I love Marius/Armand and will protect them so if you don’t like you can ban me.

I really want to participate in this year’s Marius week by deromanuscoven (I missed the start of last one…) and find new friends in VC books fandom🙏🏻

omg i know this last episode is primarily on Louis’ grief on losing Claudia but i can’t stop thinking about Armand.

I thought, here is a vampire just looking for love. Tortured and tormented from his origin, he never had agency, always molded and coerced to provide for others, to be passive. So young, burdened with more responsibility than he did not want.

he is strong and resilient, but he doesn’t know how to use these skills to better his own life. He is stuck in servitude, as coven leader, as an enslaved boy. Constantly sacrificing himself and his desires every day for a someone else’s purpose. He only knows how to control those around him to keep surviving, making the ‘tough choices’ as maitre to endure through connections with his coven, Lestat, and Louis.

He covets the independence and freedom Lestat introduced him to, the liberation from coven maître that Louis provides. He desires so much of what Louis and Lestat have; he wants that life but doesn’t know how.

His relationship with power, control, desire of freedom and love has been the most fascinating thing to watch.

The lengths he went to get what he wants (Louis; to be loved by). including directing Claudia’s death and creating a life and love with Louis founded on delusion.

Armand has been telling us who he is from the beginning.

He is the orchestrator. Even in submission, he only knows control.

I think he knew how smart Daniel was, and he knew the life he engineered with Louis could be threatened by Daniel’s ability to see what Louis couldn’t.

Is this why he had to be present during the interview from the very beginning? Cosplaying as the devout Muslim Rashid, then infiltrating the interview, attempting to guide Louis so he doesn’t “lose control of the interview”?

Is this why he didn’t tell Louis that Lestat says he loves him on September 8, 1973? Sure, it was too hard to utter those words (I think he really does love Louis in his own way), but MOSTLY because he knew it would jeopardise everything he built, everything he worked towards. Even if fictitious and a result of deceit, it was real enough for Armand.

His need to orchestrate everything, the trial, his entire relationship with Louis, the interview, Daniel!

my baby armand is evil and i think i love it. he is so sick and he knows it. i think he is tormented by not being able to have what he really wants, to know real love and to be loved. He will never know. he doesn’t know how. so he does it the only way he can through coercion and manipulation.

Originaly, it was a cosplay + poem but after four days of publish challenge prompts day-to-day, I'll be late with one part. At the beginning I planned to publish in Russian, then translated to better understanding, but now turn out, this is so interesting so... I'm only in the middle of the work, that I'll try to finish translate tomorrow and publish late

And this is Armand, who's ask to his God in the XIX century after break up with Louis. One of his attempts to find Master in other ways, first of which was religion. It's only my headcanon, because we don't have much of information about this period of his life, however this proverb sound like something Marius would teach Amadeo all the time they was together - at first to heal him, and then to support

Please don't forget - doesn't matter if your society accept or not your healing and coping mechanism, if you need to lay yourself on something you should. It's better to be claimed weak then be dead.
