Do you have Gildor headcanons? I love everyone's "Gil-Galad son of plothole" hcs and Gildor has that "son of unconsolidated drafts" energy lol

He´s a guy hanging out at the edge of the shire there´s obviously something going on inside of his head and I love that for him!

He´s definitely old and I won´t be surprised if he´s from Finarfin´s line - the house of Finrod - in some way as he has some kind of fear responding respect to the Ainur as he makes clear when meeting Frodo.

A guilty old HC of mine I´m a bit ashamed of, although I´m sure others have it too, is that he´s the son of Finrod and Amarie as it kind of lays in the name Inglorion. Also, he would have had to keep it secret as he was born out of wedlock, and I love that kind of angst that leads up to!! He and Erestor can go around complaining about being "hidden" sons of Noldor princes!!

I think he would have had to be a small child that nearly remember Valinor and that Amarie asked Finrod to take him with her as she wanted her son to see the wonders of Beleriand, thinking the war would be over fast.

Not-Yet Written Fics

I restricted the ideas to my Canon Universe/the related AU, just to keep some sort of theme going. All of them have at least a sheet of notes attached, or a short scene written (otherwise the chance of me just never working on them is very high).

Lost Wives Club - The story of all the left behind (and reborn) wives and girlfriends in Valinor. Also, an excuse to write something canon-adjacent for Anaire/Nerdanel. They're the main pairing in this one.

Three truths - Finrod gets reembodied, he and Amarie get back together, and at some point, they realize that they are both in love with Edrahil (who has also been reborn). It does continue further, with each of them dealing with some sort of problem (Amarie with her research, Finrod with his family, Edrahil with his future).

The Loves of Finrod Felagund - Finrod's sexual awakening (complete with the realization that he's bi), also featuring Finrod/Maglor.

Finarfin and Eärwen getting together - what it says on the tin, Finarfin/Eärwen first meeting (meet cute? it's close I think), complete with annoying family (Eärwen), lots of blushing (Finarfin) and misunderstandings (both cultural and in general). This one was originally started for a SWG challenge (the previous two as well, actually)

Amarie and Elenwe have a talk about motherhood and being female (and infertility) - These two deserve to be friends in the first age, while everyone they love dies tragically in ME. The basic premise for this is Elenwe struggling with the way her family treats her after she is reborn, the fact that she feels she has abandoned Idril, and a lot more.

Caranthir and his wife - This will probably be more of a collection of one-shots, and an excuse for me to fangirl about my OC Gwaewiel. Is it a bit morbid that the most structured Idea I have actually concerns her funeral? Others concern the story of them getting together, and a few snippets of life in ME (Gwae is a Vanya, but assimilates into Sindarin culture quickly, mostly for the freedom it gives her)

Turno and Elenwe get married - A sequel to Beautiful like Starlight, the story of a chaotic wedding, lots of siblings telling embarrassing stories, Elenwe hating Noldorin fashion and Anaire, Eärwen and Indis being awesome.

Finwean Family Reunion (the one where Maedhros realizes Fingon is hot) - I'll just dump my outline here, warnings, it's a bit long: Feanor wants to introduce little Curufin to the family (or rather, his father), Maedhros obviously has to look after him while also being tasked with making sure the almost-adult Celegorm doesn‘t do too much shit, Maglor gets to enchant everyone with his music skills, Caranthir and Nerdanel have stayed home. They‘re greeted by Fingon, who Maedhros takes a second to recognize because he hit a growth spurt since their last meeting more than 20 years ago, and also got a lot more jacked since (He‘s also an adult now, and Meadhros is very much attracted to him. He‘ll be in denial for a few more years and hate himself over it.) Turgon is a weird kid, Finrod charms everyone (even Feanor, but he‘ll never admit that)Lalwen is everyone's cool aunt (Celegrom loves her) and Feanor almost picks a fight with Indis, and starts a real one with Fingolfin, where Findis has to save them from escalating, as usual.

The Prince of Alqualonde - More OC things, this time Alparáto, Eärwen's oldest brother, and his boyfriend.

Arrival in Nevrast - Turgon's followers after the Helcaraxe, mostly Glorfindel and a bunch of Sindar OCs (and Ecthelion), trying to work out life in Nevrast and how to communicate with each other. Ultimately supposed to turn into Glorthelion, but knowing them, it'll probably take until Gondolin for that to happen.

The ever-expanding Rivendell Polycule - Mostly an excuse to write Glorfindel/Gildor, Erestor and Glorfindel get to navigate a poly relationship in the third age. Ever-expanding because I plan to throw some Elrond/Erestor in as well.

2. a compelling argument for why your fave would never top or bottom i did 2 over here! but now since i've done two characters who i think don't bottom often, i'll do two characters that i don't think top often. again this is with the disclaimer that i tend to prefer switchy dynamics for all my ships. sooo. turgon is such a control freak in life that i think he might enjoy just laying back and getting taken care of in the bedroom (god knows he won't let this happen anywhere else). i think he'd feel a "duty" to perform at first, but if you put him with a partner that likes to make all the decisions he'd be so very relieved to fall into that dynamic in the bedroom. also for whatever reason i think finrod and amarie are this:

okay big disclaimer on this that everyone has different takes and what makes me very annoyed has a right to exist in fandom. no hate intended towards the takes and people i mention, should they somehow see this. that said i AM choosing violence tonight

i see a lot of takes i dislike but only one. has made me so mad that i immediately left my house and walked five miles out of sheer frustration. and it was this, as far as i recall, their logic: "sauron killed celebrimbor before celebrimbor gave him the information he was really looking for (location of the three rings). sauron is the master of torture, and this was kind of a pretty big torture fuck-up. thus, sauron was not at his best when torturing celebrimbor, and killed him too rashly out of anger. this is later backed up by the way he treated his body. thus, celebrimbor must have done something particularly heinous to sauron. in fact, it was celebrimbor taking advantage of sauron all along. this means that feanor must have seen maiar serving in aule's forges and decided maiar were some kind of servant class, which led to celebrimbor inheriting those beliefs and being creepybadevil at sauron when they worked together" i don't think i need to dissect this take to explain how much it pissed me off. but i WILL say i am genuinely impressed with this user for managing to victim blame the victim of a crucifixion.

also i would like to say that sauron is such a cringefail loser (affectionate?) that we should be surprised about him fucking up torture. guy got beaten by a big dog & also made the mistake of killing finrod before learning anything important from him

again no hate to the user. people have drastically different takes & headcanons and favorites but god. that one got me. it really did get me.

7. what character did you begin to hate not because of canon but because how how the fandom acts about them?

hmmm i actually think i've mostly gone the other way around? i think i mostly tend to like characters more than i did coming into fandom. that being said i weirdly don't like erestor. something about him idk

i also used to like sauron a lot more than i do now. now i'm very sauron-cautious. some of the coolest fanart and fanfic in fandom involves him and i don't wanna dismiss that, i definitely enjoy reading about him, but for some reason he's the character the MOST likely to make me click out of a fic if he feels "off" to me

2. You have to choose between only making art or doing creative writing. No takesies backsies.

I'm going to cheat a little. A picture is worth a thousand words, and storytelling can get me to the same place creative writing can. So I stick with making art, and doing a lot of wordless comic books.

6. Your top 6 blorbos are coming to dinner with plus ones of their choice. What are you serving?

Plus ones of their choice, not my choice. Alright. So I'm still going to let my headcanons assume that Glorfindel brings Erestor (they ride into Gondor together, they'd hit up this dinner party together). Fingon next, he'll have Maedhros with him. Finrod will bring Amarie, Elrond with Celebrian, I have to skip Celeborn because he'll bring the wife and she'll know I'm having impure thoughts about her husband through dinner, so we'll lose his invitation. Then I'm gonna slide on over to a different fandom, bring Panthro into this party, and of course he'll bring Cheetara because that's the version of that license I recognize. Finally, let's add Thranduil.

He can bring da moose. Elk. Giant deer. Whatever.

You know that creature's his wingman.

Now I haven't had a dinner party in a while, but when I cook for a lot of people one of the things I like to make is this tandoori meatless tomatoless chili, and accompany that with a baked potato bar (the chili goes well on baked potatoes, but I'd have all the other good stuff there, too -- cheeses, bacon, onions, broccoli, etc.), and probably fresh veggies and pita chips and hummus.

And of course, cheesecake for dessert.

13. Crack, fluff, or angst?

Fluff. The world is cruel enough, and I can only write about Finrod being turned into a werewolf so many times before I need to write about soft cuddling and warm baths and secret nose kisses and Finrod being booped on the nose. As fun as crack is, the jokes don't have as much replay value as snuggly elves with cocoa saying sweet things to each other while sharing a blanket by the fireplace.
