I think this one line in episode 3 sums up what didnt work for me in season 2 and that is the idea that the arcane problem is not eminently political
#and sure the political is still there. a few minutes later ekko points out the hexgate failsafe is connected to zauns air and water ways#ambessa & co also rush to try and use viktor for their own ends#but THE political problem shifts from the inequality to the foreign invasion while the arcane becomes a sort of super-political problem#something thats bad in and of itself and depends on the actions of one guy not because the city like gave it to him but just because#and especially something of an existential threat that equalizes all else. i dunno#arcane#arcane season 2#arcane season 2 spoilers
