Is it...weird that I almost want there to be another season of the DCC documentary on Netflix???

I watched the CMT show but this documentary was so much more powerful and really got me invested in these cheerleaders as women?? It was about so much more than just auditioning to be a DCC.

Idk man, that slow, saying-goodbye version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun at the end while the girls took off their makeup really got me.

I’m just got done watching the DCC documentary and all I have to say is if I was one of the girls that made it, got uniformed, ultimately got cut, and then heard the shit the women in charge said about me the entire time behind my back… that would actually be my villain origin story I’m being so serious

I liked Victoria from Netflix's Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.

It felt like she cared too much, and it wasn't valued there. Not sure what the reason was, either she wasn't able to show it, or they put emphasis on different things.

It was slightly disappointing to see her making a commitment to come back, especially after both boss ladies said that they couldn't see her as a leader. I didn't like how her need to prove herself forced her to agree to staying at the place that hurt her.

Oh! The end! She hangs up shackle-pompoms! Good for her!

Strangely, I am a bit wary of Reece, her dancing is exceptional, but her interviews make me wonder how she manages to be so nice, and I am left with an impression of a cold-blooded killer*

Speaking of women that are killing it, it's the management; not many could elevate the team to the heights where hoards apply to work as the second job, full of impossibly high demands, earning only ginger cents**

There was also a lot of talk about Jesus, and a lot of talk about proving yourself, and a lot of hours put into the work.

The fact that Ari was cut from the DCC squad because of her HEIGHT is actually insane.

All I am saying is that I think the DCC should be sent off to live in the woods for a week. No heels, no extensions, no lip gloss, just a week of mud and building camps and normal bodily functions. Give them some vibrators, too. They have to be so perfect and positive all the time. I want them to resurrect that ancient Greek custom where young women were sent off and told to pretend to be bears. Let them say "fuck". Let them growl. Let them be deeply, authentically weird
