Back in school he sold some of his crafts (amigurumi, headbands, etc) to other students to save up and buy you a hockey stick. 

Embroidered a pattern on your hockey bag to make it easier to find.

When you were younger he would try and help you by being your training buddy but has since fallen off since he dislikes getting sweaty in any capacity other than love making. 

Embroidered a hoodie for you for when you work out and just need one. He has your taste in mind when designing it, but the cuffs of your sleeves have his signature flowers. One time he saw you bring it up to your lips and kiss it. He puffed up and went really red. When he covered his face with his hand he suddenly thought of how it’s like you sharing a kiss and instantly had to cover his face with both instead. Cause dropping his hand would mean he didn’t want that and this man would never. 

He tells you this later when you get off the ice after practice and you do it again. He’s got that goofy grin and can’t say anything during the ride home. 

If you play pro and he’s seen media try and ship you with other players he gets heated. Isn’t about to spam comments in the forums cause that’s not his style but gets hella clingy and does a lot more PDA to show that you’re taken. Matching clothes gets bumped to a 10. It works. And soon they’re talking about you two. Even if they’re hating on him he doesn’t give a shit. It means that he’s living in their minds rent free. 

When you play against real teams he’s always there. Always. He’s decked out in a bunch of layers, but on top of it all is a jersey with your number. 

Loudest cheerer. Other partners of your teammates can’t even compete with him. Not that they’d want to. They’re actively encouraging him. 

Probably one of the few times you’d see him spout some vile words and insults. He’d been reprimanded multiple times. 

“THAT’S THE LOVE OF MY LIFE YOU JUST KNOCKED INTO. KILL YOURSELF.”

“Frankie, honey, baby, please.”

“Fine. YOU DON’T NEED TO KILL YOURSELF.” 

Then you get bumped into again. 

“I’M GOING TO RIP YOUR ARMS OFF LIKE A BARBIE DOLL AND BEAT YOU WITH THEM LIKE AN APE.”

Then you carry him away with your arms hooked under his armpits, dragging him away as he throws a middle finger up.

I've never really made amigurumis and i haven't properly done crochet in forever, so it looks a little funky xD But i still think it's so cute! 🥺

Also had the most awesome time making it. Since the Reason i made it is because @ai-higurashi wanted to make one so we ended up doing it together!!! ^^ (Hers still needs the final sewing :))

I recommend the pattern, it was very fun to do! :)

Finished my Christmas present for my Gramma today! A little bat, a play on a family joke.

We also used to collect Beanie Babies together when I was a little kid, so I decided to make her her own tag as well.

A great pattern, detailed and very easy to follow. No regrets buying it instead of using a free pattern. I made mine a scarf rather than the bowtie because festive!

I've been fighting to find time to crochet in the past 9 months (and incredibly, it's only getting harder!) I've also noticed that since having a baby, my crafting interests have definitely shifted! It's so much harder to find the bandwidth for amigurumi, but can you believe a baby hat can be whipped up in like half an hour!? Here's a little snapshot of my crafting postpartum!

"Milestone blanket" letters/numbers:

I didn't even realize I wanted to do these until Solly was born, and thought if I did some crochet it would add a more personal twist! I am glad I did because the time really does fly by and it's nice to look back month by month and compare how he grows! I used the amazing free patterns from HappyBerry Crochet, following along on her youtube videos is a delight! I then used this really helpful tutorial on stiffening with cornstarch from Heart Hook Home to keep them in shape, which is helpful now that Solly has very grabby hands!

Baby blankets:

I actually made two blankets after baby came! One for little Solly and one for his slightly older cousin! I used this super helpful tutorial by Em's Fiber Arts and of course the letter tutorials from HappyBerry again! I've always wanted to use an Ombre yarn, but of course with amigurumi that doesn't make a lot of sense - a baby blanket was the perfect opportunity!

High contrast mobile:

This was actually mostly done pre-baby! I freehanded the striped sphere around a cat toy, the ring has a little shaker of pellets, the tiny balls have a bell in them, and the checkerboard that I made with this pattern from Dream A Little Bigger has some crinkly plastic in it! I didn't have the idea to put them on a hula hoop over the crib until it was necessary, but they really helped reset the brain an angry little baby for the first few months!

Christmas tree:

Our little New York apartment never had room for a Christmas tree, but I thought it would be fun to have a little decoration! I actually crocheted around a circle of plastic cut from a grocery store cake box and freehanded a cone shape - I used some weird fat yarn for the tree and some weird pompom yarn for the garland - sometimes you just have to dig around in your stash to see what you have!

Hats:

Once again I used RepeatCrafterMe's owl hat pattern as the base. I made a little bear hat with the leftover yarn from Solly's blanket, a little Christmas hat, and of course the Grogu hat/ears for Halloween! I free-handed the ears for the two ear hats and just kinda winged it on making the longer tail of the Santa-style hat!
